The festive storm will hit the servers on December 15 at 9:00 (Moscow time). Put all your business aside and focus on the holiday and decorating the Hangar. Instead of the usual Hangar, you will find yourself in a snow-covered courtyard, decorated with New Year's lights and snowdrifts. The courtyard will look truly atmospheric, but not elegant. And your task is to create a festive atmosphere in it and at the same time receive excellent rewards for this.

How will it work

Build a snowman, decorate your house, decorate your lampposts, and decorate your tree to level up the holiday spirit (we've also included step-by-step decorating instructions). At the same time, you need to approach the selection of jewelry wisely. They are varied and divided into 5 groups according to their rarity.

First level jewelry is the most common; Level 5 jewelry is the rarest. The “cooler” the decoration, the more points it gives and the faster it raises the level of the festive atmosphere.

What is a festive atmosphere? If you're familiar with last year's New Year's Offensive, you know what it is. Let us remind you: the holiday atmosphere has 10 levels and determines your progress in decorating the New Year's courtyard. You can see your progress at any time. At the top of the Hangar.

Once you reach a new level, a reward box will be dropped into the center of the courtyard. And the first gift is already waiting for you under the tree - a box with a gift tank. To open it, simply log into the game as soon as New Year's Offensive 2018 starts!

Reach the maximum atmosphere level - and you will receive so many gifts that they are unlikely to fit into Santa Claus's bag: female crew (4 girls, nation - to choose from), discounts on any researchable vehicle, equipment, and New Year's Offensive medal set.

To find out what awards you have already received, click on the snowflake, and then click on the “List of Awards” button on the left.

IMPORTANT: Discounts can be used on any the vehicle being studied at the specified level (in each box there are discounts for a certain level of equipment in increasing order). Unapplied discounts are limited in time; It will be possible to buy the equipment until mid-March 2018.

Once you select which car you want to receive the discount on, the discount will begin and will be valid until you purchase the car. Whether right away or after some time, you will still receive a discount. Don’t put off your purchase and don’t put off choosing which tank to apply the discount to!

The same applies to the female crew: recruit them before mid-March 2018. We will announce the exact date later, stay tuned.

Decorations aren't just a way to elevate the holiday spirit. Collecting them will earn you exclusive emblems, styles, and decals, as well as a special holiday bonus. The bonus will increase the amount of experience, crew experience and credits earned for the battle (detailed information: Holiday bonus).

Decoration process

This year you will have complete freedom, and you will be able to decorate almost everything you see: a snow-covered house, lamp posts, and, of course, a Christmas tree. Even the snow won’t go to waste: you can make a snowman out of it!

If you want to decorate the Hangar in a new way this year, but are not sure how, New Year's Offensive 2018 has something to offer you. Choose Modern Christmas if you prefer a modern holiday style. If you want a more traditional holiday style, try the Traditional Christmas style. If you don’t like “Christmas”, appreciate the diversity of the Chinese New Year or our native New Year.

Remember that these are not unbreakable patterns, but rather a source of inspiration! Choose a style and stick with it, or mix and match elements - you're only limited by your imagination.

How will it work?

Hover your mouse over the decoration, click on the snowflake, right under the “Battle!” button. or click on any decoration to view it in detail. Use the panel on the left side of the detail view screen to navigate between interactive elements.

You can also decorate your yard randomly: interactive elements have special slots for each type of decoration. To begin the decorating process, click on the Holiday Hangar element you want to decorate. Then click on the desired slot to open a window containing all the matching decorations and select one of them. To sort jewelry by level or style, use the filters located in the upper right corner of the window.

Collections and Holiday Bonus

The decorations will be numerous and varied, and will also be divided into four collections: Traditional Christmas, Modern Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year. From all kinds of trinkets, decorations and garlands to finials and twinkle lights, there's enough for everyone! And each style will give you additional emotions thanks to unique background music. The more items from a given set you use, the more expressive the music will be and the more it will match the style of your chosen toy collection.

All received decorations are placed in a special album. Click on the snowflake directly below the “Battle!” button. , and select Collections (right) to view all of the album's bookmarks. They will display your progress in collecting the collection and show which decorations you do not yet have.

Collections are not just a tool to help decorate your Hangar. Each of them gives you bonuses, a unique style for changing the appearance of vehicles*, emblems and inscriptions. Remember that each collection provides such elements for a specific technique. Collect the New Year's collection if you want to change the appearance of USSR equipment. Do you like to play “Chinese”? Collect Chinese New Year decorations to get emblems and decals for these cars. By completing the Traditional Christmas collection, you will receive appearance elements for vehicles from Germany, France, Poland and Czechoslovakia. And the collected collection in the style of Modern Christmas will provide you with elements of appearance for equipment from the USA, Britain, Japan or Sweden.

And most importantly: collecting the collection will not require any additional actions. Receive reward boxes, and all the toys that fall out of them will be added to the collection. And every new toy that you have not received before will be added to the collection. More boxes, more toys - a higher chance of completing all the collections. Go for it!

*Style can be applied to Premium VIII equipment level, as well as for equipment X level.

How to get bonuses, emblems and inscriptions?

Elements of changing appearance: collecting one of four collections will provide you with a unique style, emblem and inscriptions for a specific nation (New Year and Chinese New Year) or group of nations (Traditional and Modern Christmas). There are no restrictions here. Collect all four collections to receive a set of elements and bonuses for each nation!

Holiday Bonus: Your path to collecting a complete collection will be accompanied by bonuses to the experience earned, crew experience and credits for the battle. The closer you are to the completed collection, the greater the bonus. At the same time, you will reach the maximum bonus long before you complete the entire collection.

Want to make the most of your bonus? There is one caveat, and it is extremely simple: decorate the Hangar to achieve the maximum level of festive atmosphere. Significant progress in collecting collections in combination with level 10 of the festive atmosphere will give you +48% to the earned combat experience, crew experience, and credits per battle for a certain nation.

Are you playing with a premium account? There is good news for you too: the holiday bonus is combined with a premium account. Once you reach the maximum Holiday Atmosphere level, the Premium Account and Holiday Bonus will give you essentially double Combat XP, Crew XP and Battle Credits for the duration of the in-game event.

Receiving decorations

Decorations can be obtained in special boxes issued as rewards for combat missions in the New Year's Offensive 2018 event. Another way to get decorations is to complete daily combat missions of the Holiday Calendar, which will become available throughout the game event. "New Year's Offensive 2018"

"New Year's Offensive 2018" is exactly the tank madness you expect from the game. This time you will have a choice between playing for fun or playing for decorations. If you're shopping for decorations, check out the 11 New Year's Rush combat missions. They will be updated weekly, and each of them can be completed several times. Completing each task will be rewarded with a box of decorations. What will they contain? Three decorations and something else. But it's a surprise! Perhaps equipment, and maybe loans.

Along with offers (which are valid for only 1 day), the Holiday Calendar offers daily combat missions - the offer and combat mission change at 9:00 (Moscow time). Complete tasks throughout the New Year's Offensive 2018 and you are guaranteed boxes of decorations. Jewelry making

Jewelry making was a hot topic among players last year. We have taken everything into account and are introducing a completely new device to perform this task. This device is a "New Fit Collider" and it exactly meets your jewelry making requirements.

Here's how it will work. Let's say you have unnecessary hanging toys, garlands or balls. They can be put into action by first breaking them. Then place the shards in the New Year collider and make a wish. But not literally - just set the parameters (level, type and collection) for the decoration you want, make sure you have enough shards* and press the button Create. All is ready! Don't need anything specific? Then let it be a surprise: select “Random Collection” and immediately move on to creating jewelry.

Gift boxes

Having trouble choosing gifts? Don't worry: we will select them for you. Head over to the 2018 New Year's Offensive website (which will only be available during the in-game event) if you're looking to give a gift to your friends or yourself this holiday season. The New Year's event in World of Tanks has recently begun - New Year's Offensive 2018! And the players already have a lot of questions related to it. We tried to answer the most popular and exciting ones.

How to properly decorate a Christmas tree in World of Tanks

You can easily tell that there is a New Year's event in WoT by looking at the hangar. Actually, that's where you'll find her. Click LMB on it and you will be taken to the window for decorating the Christmas tree.

As you can see, I already have level 9 of the so-called holiday atmosphere. I made it thanks to a large number of level 4 and 5 toys.

To achieve this level of festive atmosphere, it is necessary not only to decorate the tree in WoT, but also the snowman, decorate the house and lighting, and also decorate the pillars and yard. All this is in the left menu, in the screenshot. You can also go to all these objects directly from the hangar by clicking on them with LMB. This is discussed in detail.

If you have extra toys or you are missing some New Year’s element to add a new level of New Year’s atmosphere, then the necessary toys can be crafted in the collider. To do this, click on the bottom panel “create decoration”.

And so, all combat missions have been completed, but level 10 of the holiday atmosphere has not been achieved, what to do? Everything is very simple. You need to wait until December 22, 2017, there will be new combat missions and you can not only reach level 10, but also try to collect a collection of toys.

You can also increase the level of the holiday atmosphere in another way - through donation. If you buy boxes in a premium store, you will not only decorate your Christmas tree up to level 10 faster, but you will also get various goodies from the boxes. Toy collection - what is it?

In the 2018 New Year's offensive in World of Tanks, there are 4 sets of decorations:

This album contains decorations from levels 1 to 5 for each set and by collecting them all you can get unique camouflages, inscriptions and emblems with a New Year's theme. You can see which sets you can get on the page with level 5 in each category.

The missing toys in the sets can either be crafted or obtained from the corresponding boxes by purchasing them in the WoT premium store.

Decorate the Christmas tree and the tanker

Where can I get garlands, balls and tops? All these decorations can be earned in random battles - for completing special combat missions (Combat Missions menu, New Year's Offensive tab).

Combat missions can be divided into two groups: easier (first - second levels) and more difficult (third - fourth levels).

Weekly tasks will be available again every Friday at 9:00 (Moscow time).

Rewards for completing combat missions can be cumulative subject to all conditions and restrictions.

For completing each task you receive a box with decorations and a special gift from World of Tanks. You will be pleasantly surprised! Nobody knows what awaits you inside the box: perhaps premium equipment, or maybe a personal reserve.

When you close the window with a notification about the accrual of the box, it automatically opens, but in the background and without playing the animation. In this case, the property from the box is automatically credited to the account.

A huge variety of decorations awaits you. They are divided into 5 levels (depending on the complexity of combat missions) and there are 8 types: 4 for your tree and 4 for the tank. The higher the complexity of the combat mission, the more significant the reward you receive and the more your holiday atmosphere improves. Reaching level 5 will reward you with epic decorations such as the Gold Type 59, Balancer Tool, and more!

You can decorate your tree and tank with traditional decorations: snowflakes, garlands or Christmas stockings for gifts. If you want to add some sparkle, add a balancer tool or “Carla”. Or maybe something themed, like a T-34-85 keychain or a KV-5 radio operator’s helmet? And lastly: Christmas tree toys are not suitable for a tanker, and tanker toys are not suitable for a Christmas tree.

To start decorating, simply click on the tree or tank in the Hangar, or select the tank in the vehicle panel. Drag earned decorations into special slots.

A little alchemy

In case you are missing certain decorations or alchemy is not your thing, visit. There you can buy several boxes with decorations for your Christmas tree or tank, or give them to your friends.

By purchasing boxes, you receive not only decorations, but also gold, as well as a special bonus. Only VBR knows what the bonus will give you: even more gold, premium account days, Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f), M46 Patton KR, Rheinmetall Skorpion G, Pz. 58 Mutz or AMX M4 ml. 49. All equipment comes with an additional slot in the Hangar.
