How can I make a new one out of an old t-shirt. What to do with old t-shirts

Good afternoon friends!

Today I have ideas for you on what to make from old t-shirts. After all, we have a lot of this good stored at home, and it’s a pity to throw away worn or worn-out T-shirts that have become small. So let's empty the cabinets and make original pillows, baskets, bags, rugs and other things from old T-shirts with our own hands.

What can be done with old T-shirts. Ideas. Photo

From old T-shirts, as well as from other clothes, you can create a lot of new products.

For centuries, people have made rag carpets from scraps of fabric and old clothes. In modern times, of course, everything is available and can be bought. But handicraft and creativity are more in fashion than ever, and you can be proud of things made by yourself, in which the soul is invested and creativity is revealed.

In addition, this is also budget savings, and not the one who has a lot of money is rich, but who knows how to save and properly manage them.

Here is just a small list and a photo of what can be made from old T-shirts:

Pompoms are made from knitted yarn in the same way as from woolen yarn, winding the yarn around a cardboard circle.

Ideas for decorating pillows with knitted flowers can be viewed here>>.

From a whole T-shirt, you can try to make a pillowcase on a pillow, and craftsmen make bags.

But even more interesting, in my opinion, are crafts made from yarn cut from an old T-shirt.

Such things can be connected very quickly, literally in a day even.

Moreover, the manufacturing methods can be different, not only crocheting, but also methods without a hook. Let's consider them in detail below using the example of making rugs, bags and baskets.

In the meantime, I'll tell you about what kind of pillow I sewed.

Pillow from an old T-shirt

I had a favorite knitted T-shirt, but I completely grew out of it, so I decided to use it for a pillowcase on a sofa cushion. The idea lay in bed and waited for inspiration, until I saw a photo of an interesting pillow made of fabric, combined with a knitted insert.

And so my new pillow was born. How to make a pillow from an old T-shirt, I'll tell you now.

In principle, nothing difficult.

Now I have such a bright pillow from an old T-shirt.

How to make yarn from knitted t-shirts

For knitting or weaving rugs and other products from old T-shirts, we need to make yarn from them.

T-shirt yarn is essentially ribbons cut from it, the width of which is 10-15 mm and does not have to be even and the same along the entire length, so you don’t need to measure and draw anything.

You just need to cut the ribbons from the T-shirt, moving in a spiral.

How to do it better and more conveniently, you can see in the presented video tutorial from Marina Ryabova:

We carefully wind the cut ribbons freely into skeins, without pulling the yarn, which already tends to stretch.

We connect short pieces of ribbons together in the following way.

  1. We make small holes at the ends of two ribbons.
  2. We pass one tape through a hole on the second tape.
  3. We insert the opposite end (without a hole) of the second tape into the hole of the first tape and tighten the yarn.

To be honest, I don’t really like this method, because holes still remain here. When crocheting rugs, such a connection can still be used, but for more elegant products, it is better to sew yarn with a needle and thread to match the yarn. And in the process of knitting, it will only be possible to sew ribbons from yarn.

The ends of the tapes superimposed on each other should be sewn neatly along the edges in a straightened form. Then the tape will shrink and the seams will remain inside it.

Bags from old T-shirts

Beautiful bags can be crocheted from yarn cut from old T-shirts of different colors.

And there is another interesting way to create a creative summer beach or shopping bag.

To do this, we need a ready-made basket, which we use for household needs.

We cut the yarn from T-shirts into small strips of the same size and tie each one by inserting it into the holes of the basket, we simply wrap the handle with ribbons.

A lovely shaggy bag from an old T-shirt turns out!

Basket from an old T-shirt

A basket of knitted yarn can also be crocheted in the usual way, like an Easter basket, for example. By the way, great idea for a holiday! Take a thinner hook so that the knitting is tight and the basket keeps its shape.

There is another option, also crocheted, but using yarn for knitting - acrylic or cotton, you can just use the leftover yarn.

In this case, the T-shirt ribbons will remain inside the yarn loops. I think that the principle of such knitting will be clear from the photo.

Rugs from old T-shirts

Perhaps, for rugs from old T-shirts, there are the largest number of manufacturing methods. And they are very popular now.

Such rugs are light, soft, wash well, and the yarn is budget compared to an expensive cord.

And you can knit rugs not only round, but also in any other shape, even in the form of napkins.

Crochet rugs

Since the yarn from old T-shirts is quite thick, the size of the hook for knitting rugs should be about 8-10.

The simplest patterns for knitting rugs can be used from here, where you can also learn more and watch video material on how to knit a rug from old T-shirts.

The unusual yarn itself gives them a beautiful effect.

And the second option for knitting rugs from T-shirts is the same as when knitting baskets using ordinary knitting yarn.

Rugs without a hook

It is especially noteworthy that rugs from old T-shirts without a hook can be made, that is, not by knitting, but by weaving and even embroidery!

Weaving rugs

First way. Braid rug

We connect two ribbons: we sew one in the center of the other (see photo).

We got three ends, on which we will weave a long braid.

Then we lay the braid in a spiral in a circle, at the same time sewing it with a zigzag on a typewriter, or with blind stitches by hand.

The second way. Weaving a rectangular rug on a frame

Here we need an additional device - a frame.

We pull vertical strong threads on it or the same ribbons from old T-shirts.

And then we weave ribbons between them horizontally.

Look at other interesting ideas for decorating your home and garden using the weave method.

The third way. Round rug on hoop

Weaving is similar to making a rug on a frame. But only a round frame is probably problematic. Craftswomen came up with the idea of using a hoop instead.

Additionally, you need to cut a circle out of cardboard, draw diagonals on it closer to each other, cut the circle diagonally from the edge of the circle and in the center.

Then you should place a cardboard circle in the center of the hoop and pull the threads, pulling them through the cuts and through the center, and attaching to the hoop.

And then ribbons from old T-shirts are woven between the stretched threads.

In my opinion, a laborious process, but for information you need to mention it, maybe someone will need to weave a rug in such a creative way.

Mats on the grid

Even fluffy rugs can be made from old T-shirts.

I have already talked about this method by tying threads using fluffy pillows as an example.

These rugs are usually made on a construction or garden grid.

The hook in this method of creating rugs is used only as an auxiliary tool for pulling up the yarn.

Bargello style rugs

Here we come to the last version of rugs from old T-shirts, which I like the most, and the idea is relatively new.

This method is a beautiful bargello embroidery. But, if delicate work on embroidering pillows, tablecloths and other elegant things requires special skill and a lot of time, then embroidering, or rather pulling thick knitted yarn through the mesh, is much easier.

To fix the ends of the tapes along the edges of the mesh, double-sided tape is used.

Well, that's all about what you can do from old T-shirts with your own hands, my thoughts and ideas. What did you like, what did you want to do, what other ideas and tips do you have?

Sincerely, Olga Smirnova

The content of the article:

There are things that only take up space in the closet - they are no longer worn. They are rather fed up with their owners, but it's a pity to throw them away. You don’t have to do this if you find out how much interesting things can be made from an old T-shirt, T-shirt, how to transform a dress, an out-of-fashion skirt, unnecessary ties. Fascinating ideas will allow you to create stylish new clothes from these things.

What to do with old T-shirts?

If you want to be irresistible on a date, make a new top for a beach holiday, or simply create a new thing with your own hands from an old one, then check out the following idea.

As you can see, all you need for it is:

  • T-shirt;
  • scissors;
  • crayon;
  • ruler.
Draw a horizontal line on the back. It should be at such a distance that it covers the shoulder blades. In front, draw a vertical line also with the help of chalk and a ruler. Cut according to the outlines with scissors.

This is how an old T-shirt helped you make a beautiful top. Put it on, twist the right and left halves of the front, tying them in the back.

Replenish your wardrobe with another new thing that is very interesting to create. It turns out it is beautiful, with an openwork wicker back.

For her, you only need two items: a T-shirt and scissors. Lay the T-shirt in front of you and shorten the hem to the desired length. Also cut off the sleeves with scissors.

Fold the T-shirt in half lengthwise, make horizontal cuts on the back. They should be parallel to each other and spaced at the same distance.

We continue to create further so that the old T-shirt turns into a new fashionable thing. To do this, unfold it, pull each strip so that they become thinner and longer.

This is necessary in order to weave a braid. It will look great on an open back. Take the top strip, find its middle, fold the loop here. Thread the second strip into it and twist the loop in the center of that one. You will thread the middle of the third into it.

Having reached the bottom, fix the last element so that it does not untie, tie it in a knot. Trim off the excess.

That's what a wonderful t-shirt you got, which is very interesting to create with your own hands.

You don't need a needle or a sewing machine for this idea. Therefore, such a designer thing can be done not only by beginning adult dressmakers, but also by schoolgirls.

The third idea will tell you how another T-shirt is transformed. It will not be difficult to make slits on the back of it, because you just got acquainted with such work.

Cut off the collar and sleeves of the T-shirt, fold it in half lengthwise. We make cuts on the back. Unlike the previous model, they go obliquely.

To do the job neatly, using a ruler and chalk, draw a diagonal line, the top of which starts near the armhole, the bottom will be at the waist.

Make cuts at the same distance from each other, unfold the T-shirt. In principle, at this stage, you can finish the work, and so it turned out to be a nice and interesting model.

You can go further - braid the braid from the back of the stripes in the same way as for the previous sample.

A boring gray T-shirt will turn into a playful model in 15 minutes. For her you will need:
  • a drawing template consisting of several parts;
  • simple pencil;
  • scissors;
  • t-shirt.
Cut out the details of the template, attach it to the back of the T-shirt.

Using scissors, cut out the outlines already on the fabric.

That's how quickly completed this interesting work.

If you need gym clothes, check out how to make a suit top in 10 minutes.

Cut off the sleeves of the T-shirt along with the sides adjacent to them at the top. Remove the shoulder seam with scissors.

Make a vertical cut in the middle of the back. Twist the right and left halves.

Seam them at the top.

New Year's costume from an old T-shirt

White color is winning. Wearing clothes of this color, you will always look elegant.

But what to do if you are unexpectedly invited to a club, to visit a holiday, but there is nothing to wear? If you have 30 minutes left, you will have time to make a new thing from an old T-shirt. It should be the same color as the lace. If you do not have such a finish, you can take a transparent fabric or old guipure clothes.

Pull out the sleeves of the T-shirt, and also cut off a small triangular part at the shoulders. Sew these two details, attach them to the lace. Cut out the sleeves from this openwork fabric, sew them in place.

So in half an hour you had clothes for the holiday.

If you have two white T-shirts at home, one just right for you and the other big, this is what you need to make the next light outfit.

  1. Put on a T-shirt that fits you. With a simple pencil, draw a line from the middle of the shoulder to the thigh so that it runs along the center of the chest. The second line is symmetrical to this one.
  2. Cut along these two lines, remove the central piece of the T-shirt, you will not need it.
  3. Take the second thing, which is larger, unpick the shelf, which is the front. Departing from the middle of the neck down 2.5 cm, lay a fold 2 cm wide. The rest will be the same. Secure them with pins.
  4. When all the folds are completed, stitch them along the lines that are visible in the photo. Then cut, stepping back from these lines 3 cm in each direction. We do not cut off from the bottom of the armhole to the shoulders, so that small sleeves are obtained here. Sew this part to the front of a T-shirt that fits you.
Now you can go to shine in this bright attire, celebrating the New Year or celebrating any other holiday in a new dress.

By the way, lace trim can transform almost any thing. If you want to decorate an ordinary white T-shirt, sew horizontal stripes of the same color on it, and you will be surprised at the result.

In such a festive T-shirt, you can not only celebrate the New Year, but also go to a cafe, to the theater, as well as in the next two outfits.

For the first one, you will need a V-neck T-shirt. It is edged with a strip of wide sewing. You can decorate the old model by sewing a piece of lace vertically.

Make a triangular insert from such an openwork fabric, and another one of your T-shirts will be transformed, like the next one. For her, we cut out a strip in the center of the sleeve, apply it to the lace, cut it out according to this pattern. It remains to sew an openwork insert on the sleeve and you can shine in new clothes.

6 ways to decorate a dress

If you want people to think that you have 6 dresses of the same color, don't disappoint them. See how to design a dress to make completely different models.

For this interesting clothing option, you will need:
  • well-draped fabric;
  • scissors;
  • sewing machine.
Sew a half-sun or flared skirt to your size. You can also stop at a flared model by making a year skirt so that it turns into a dress. To do this, cut out two long wide ribbons from the same fabric. Sew them on the waistband to the front of the skirt. The back will be bare for now. We begin to tie these ribbons in order to make six evening dresses from one at once.
  1. Take the right ribbon, drape it over the left chest. Put the left strip of fabric on the right chest. Throw both ends of these ribbons behind your back, twist here in the form of a braid. When this element reaches the waist, fix the ribbon data by tying it in a knot. Skip them on the belt forward, twist here once, go back, tie on the back.
  2. The second model will allow you to create a dress in the Greek style in 3 minutes. Throw both ribbons over your left shoulder, lower them back, twisting. Tie one knot on the side. Point forward to the stomach, twist the ends, remove them back, where they tie. Straighten the resulting belt in front so that it emphasizes the waist, making it high. Therefore, the belt should start from the chest.
  3. The third model will allow you to get a strapless dress. The right ribbon is led to the left, the left to the right along the waistline. They meet at the back on the back, then return to the front. Here you need to tie them into a knot, return them back and also fix them by tying them together.
  4. When you manage to design the dress of the fourth model, you will have a full-fledged bodice. Lift both ribbons, tie them under the neck in one knot. Lead behind your back, lower here at the waist, make a knot. Point the ribbons forward, twist them here once, tuck them back, secure by tying. In this model, as in the next one, you can go to a dinner party, to the theater, to a reception.
  5. To use the fifth idea, lift both ribbons up, twist each one, lowering them over your shoulders. Remove on the back, crossing the ends of these belts at the level of the shoulder blades. Then bring them forward, twist, throw them on the back, where they tie.
  6. The latest model is suitable for almost any occasion. It is created very simply. Raise the ribbons, throw them over your shoulders, lower them back, where you fasten them once. Then pull forward at the waistline, where you tie. It remains to straighten the edges of the fabric strips to cover the shoulders and upper arms with them.
This is how you can quickly arrange a dress to get several from one, suitable for different occasions. Another one you can make from a t-shirt.

To do this, cut off her sleeves, cut out the same strap from each, sew them in place. The dress is ready.

If your dad, husband, or older brother has an oversized T-shirt you don't need, turn it into a dress. Put it on yourself, draw in crayon where the horizontal line of the top of the chest passes. Leave 2 cm for the hem, cut the rest from the top. Using scissors, remove excess from one of the sides. Make a new seam.

Don't throw away the rest of your T-shirt. Cut them into rectangles, roll each tan along. Roll from one end to the other. You will get fabric roses that you will sew to a new evening dress.

And here is another option on how to make a dress from a long T-shirt.

To do this, prepare:
  • T-shirt
  • scissors;
  • chalk or pencil;
  • ruler;
  • thin braid in tone;
  • application made of fabric or glue.
Lay the t-shirt on a hard surface, using a ruler and a pencil or chalk, draw a horizontal line at armpit level.

If the T-shirt is short, when you need to cut off a minimum from the top, laying the ruler horizontally immediately under the neckline.

Cut along the drawn line. Make the T-shirt narrower by stitching on one side so that the dress fits you. Trim off the excess at the seam. Tuck the sundress on top, stitch, insert a rope or elastic band here. Sew on the ribbons. You can decorate the dress with buttons trimmed with the same fabric. Sew on or glue on an appliqué and another new piece will appear in your wardrobe.

Here's how to remake the dress, but from a long T-shirt. For this you will need:

  • T-shirt;
  • bleach or bleach;
  • basin;
  • scissors;
  • gloves.

Cut its bottom into strips in the form of a fringe.

Pour bleach or bleach into a basin, dip only the resulting fringe here for a few minutes. Remove item, rinse well and dry. Due to the burnout of the dark color, you will get such a spectacular bottom of the dress.

Few people would guess that the colorful beach dress was also created from a regular white T-shirt.

Here is what you will use for this:
  • white t-shirt;
  • rope;
  • fabric paints;
  • scissors.
Roll up the T-shirt, tie with a rope. Dilute the paints according to the instructions in different containers. There are two ways to impregnate the fabric with them - by placing fragments of a T-shirt in a certain color or by applying the solution with a brush.

Rinse the T-shirt, dry it and start cutting. You can color the T-shirt in other ways. Many are described in the article about.

Cut out the sleeves, along with the armhole part, at the back, going over the back more than at the front. Remove the neck with scissors.

Just above the line of the shoulder blades, make a horizontal cut, and then immediately three vertical ones.

Weave them into a braid, which we tie at the bottom and sew in the middle of the T-shirt on the back at the waistline.

Now you know how to make a beach dress with your own hands without using thread and a needle for this.

How to change a skirt?

If you have a straight or slightly flared skirt, make a vertical cut on the left side of the panel. It needs to be processed by sewing on a braid or fabric of the same color.

For the second option, 2 symmetrical cuts are made on the left and right. They also need to be processed.

Extravagant girls can be advised to remake the skirt as follows. A semicircular cutout is made on the front panel, which is then processed with an oblique trim.

Such a playful model will certainly cheer you up. Transform an old, bored skirt by cutting its bottom with a fringe.

And you will make such a skirt from an old sweater and an unnecessary knitted dress or T-shirt.

Put these things on the table. Cut the sweater under the armhole to get a rectangular canvas. Cut a strip from any knit that will become the waistband of the skirt.

Fold it in half, putting the corsage ribbon inside, pin it off with pins. Sew on the wrong side with an overcasting seam, stretching the product so that it does not tear when putting on a skirt.

Another beautiful thing appeared in the wardrobe.

Women's new clothes from men's ties

Sometimes in cabinets they accumulate in incredible quantities. To turn unnecessary things into useful ones, check out these three ideas.

  1. Lay 2 ties side by side, stitch them on the side. Sew the rest in the same way. Sew on the sidewall, leaving the armhole free. This is where you will put your hands when putting on the vest. At the level of the navel, sew a button on one side and a loop on the other to fasten it. You can tie on a tie sewn here.
  2. To sew a skirt, we also sweep them together to make a rectangular canvas, stitch the wide parts to the narrower ones. Stitch the seam that will be at the back. Sew a zipper on top.
  3. To make such a spectacular belt, men's ties in the amount of two or three pieces are sewn together.

But if you have an average salary and a closet littered with long-outdated clothes (but still in excellent condition), then becoming a “cover girl” is very difficult. Is not it?

In fact, there is a secret that can even turn dad's t-shirt into a stylish top from the latest Alexander Wong collection. And for this you just need a little imagination, scissors, a needle and old things.

We offer 35 ideas on how to turn unfashionable, old, boring things into stylish new items, like the girls from fashion blogs.

1. Denim skirt #1

We will need:

Long denim skirt with buttons or buttons. You can easily buy it in second-hand stores.
piece of cardboard
chalk or soap
scissors

First of all, we decide how long our skirt will be. Depending on this, we draw a horizontal line on the wrong side.

Cut out a template with a rounded edge from cardboard. The width of the template depends on the width of the bottom of the skirt (we have 10 cm). On the wrong side of the product, applying a template to the line, draw semicircles along the entire length of the skirt. Cut the fabric with sharp scissors, following the intended pattern.

If desired, we can rub the rounded edges with a pumice stone to make a fringe, or leave it as it is.

Voila! Stylish miniskirt is ready.

2. Denim skirt #2

We will need:

The bottom that was left from the denim skirt with buttons
scissors
sewing machine or needle and thread

This is a more difficult option. We measure how long we want to make the skirt, and cut off the extra top. We measure our waist, hips and cut off the excess fabric along the side seam line, and then neatly stitch or sew.

We outline the undercuts and sew them with a regular needle and thread. Then we make a small lapel at the waist and sew it up or sew it by hand. We fasten the skirt in front so that there is a large slit at the bottom.

The second minimalist skirt is also ready!

3. Stole skirt

We will need:

A large stole (scarf) of a rectangular shape, preferably from a light fabric that does not fray.
thin lace
cardboard
sewing pins
scissors
needles with thread

First of all, we measure the circumference of the waist. Now a little math, but not too complicated)))

Add to this number half of it. This extra length will give us the opportunity to gather the skirt to the waist, it is easy to take it off and tighten it back. Then, we divide the figure by 3.14. This will be the diameter of our circle, which we draw on paper. We draw on it two lines crosswise, which pass through the center, so that we get 4 sectors of the same size.

Here is the formula for an ideal 60 cm waist.
60 + 30 (waist plus half of that)
90: 3.14 = 28.5 (circle diameter)

Cut out a circle from cardboard. Then, fold the fabric in half twice. We apply one sector of the circle to the inner corner of the fabric, circle it and cut it out. We bend the edge of the skirt (along the waist) by 2 centimeters and harden it with pins along the entire length. We cut holes along the bend line at a small distance from each other (5 cm). We pass a lace through all the holes. At the end, we tie knots so that the lace does not accidentally slip out.

And we have a brand new skirt ready!

4. Miniskirt from a stole or scarf

We will need:

Long tippet or scarf

Wrap the scarf around the hips once. Then, turn it over twice in front and continue wrapping it around you. We hide the end inside.

5. Black dress with a sexy neckline

We will need:

Old high neck dress
leather cord
scissors
needles, thread and pins
sewing machine

We draw a line in front, right in the center of our dress, to make a V-neckline. We draw a line from the neckline straight to the seam of the detachable waist. The neckline can be made both low and high, depending on your modesty. Our version is definitely not for work.

Cut with scissors along the line. We bend the fabric to make a cutout, and harden it with pins. We decide where we want to start our lacing, and from this point we divide the entire length of the neckline into five parts. We mark the points with chalk.

Cut the leather cord into 10 small pieces. We fold them in half, in the form of a loop, and attach them with pins along the cutout on both sides in the places that we marked with chalk. Sew the edges of the neckline to secure the fabric and attach the loops. This can be done by hand or on a sewing machine.
After all the loops are securely sewn, we take a long cord and begin to twist it from the bottom up. We finish the lacing with a small elegant batik.

Sexy evening dress is ready!

6. Short T-shirt dress

We will need:

Big T-shirt
scissors
rubber
needle and thread

Lay the t-shirt on a flat surface, cut off the sleeves, and then cut in a straight line right under the neckline.

From the sleeves cut out two rectangles of the same size. This will be the top of the dress. We measure the volume of the chest and the length of the rectangles, if necessary, cut off the excess.

We connect the upper parts with the lower ones, and then we sew the dress on the sides.

We sew an elastic band under the bust, at the junction of the parts.

And the summer short dress is ready!

7. Stylish dress with side slits

We will need:

Big T-shirt
scissors
needle and thread

First of all, cut off the sleeves from the T-shirt, and then cut it horizontally just below the chest. We take into account that the bra does not look out.

Then, on the top of the dress in front, we make a small hole. On the lower part of the dress (near the waist) there is a small slit. We put the ends into the hole and sew or just tie.

Voila! The slit dress, very fashionable this spring-summer season, is ready!

8. T-shirt beach dress in 30 seconds

We will need:

Large long t-shirt

We put on a T-shirt through the throat. We put the left sleeve on the right side of the chest, and the right one on the left side. It turns out a cute beach dress with bare shoulders.

9. Beach dress from an old skirt

We will need:

Old skirt and t-shirt
scissors
needles and threads
strap

Lay the skirt on a flat surface and cut off the elastic at the waist.

We attach a T-shirt to the skirt and cut along the contour of the armhole and neckline.

We sew the straps with a needle and thread. You can use a sewing machine to be safe. Tie with a belt and the dress is ready!

10. Stylish cocktail dress with a cutout on the stomach

We will need:

old dress
cardboard
sewing machine
scissors
needle and thread

First of all, cut off the sleeves and shorten the length of the dress. We bend the armholes and the bottom by 1-2 centimeters, smooth it with an iron and sew it, or sew it by hand with hidden stitches.

We cut out a small triangle from cardboard and trace around the contour in the front central part of the dress. Cut through the bottom of the triangle, then make a perpendicular cut up. We bend the fabric and sew all sides of the triangle with small stitches.

Most of the work falls on the sleeves. You need to work hard on them. And then, a chic and fashionable cocktail dress is ready!

11. Dress with a fringe

We will need:

Short dress
scissors
floss threads of different colors (on average five flowers that match the color of the dress)
bright thin belt

We choose such a dress so that the fabric does not crumble. Preferably monochromatic. We make small holes along the entire length of the hem and sleeves, at a distance of 5-10 centimeters from each other.

Then, we cut the floss threads into small bunches, of the same length, so that they easily pass into the holes on the dress. We stretch the threads into the holes, alternating colors. We carefully tie each bundle with a thin thread so that it does not fall apart.

We tie the dress with a bright belt and a cheerful summer look is ready!

12. Skirt and top

We will need:

Long maxi dress
rubber
scissors
needles and threads
pins

First, we turn the dress over so that the front becomes the back. Then we carefully grind out unnecessary decor elements using nail scissors (a pocket and a braid with buttons). We cut the dress into two parts along the seam line at the waist.

We mark how long we want to make the top and hem its edge manually or with a sewing machine.

We take an elastic band, preferably wide, and bend the top of the skirt, according to its width. Then we hem the belt so that we can populate the elastic inside.
Having attached the elastic to a pencil, knitting needle or stick, we stretch it through the loop until it comes out through the other side. After that, we sew the ends of the elastic band and carefully sew up the hole on the belt.

Voila, the flight suit is ready!

13. Balenciaga white top

We will need:

White elongated T-shirt with wide straps. We choose from a dense fabric so that it does not crumble, and the edges do not curl
scissors
needles and threads

The first step is to cut the back of the T-shirt so that its length is a few centimeters below the clasp of our bra. Cut out, slightly retreating from the line of the side seams.

Then turn the shirt over and mark the middle. Cut along a straight vertical line from the cutout to the very bottom.

We put on a top. We wrap the long ends around the waist and tie them at the back. The upper edges of the neckline can be folded under the bra or hemmed.

The result is exactly the same top as from the latest Balenciaga collection.

14. Short white top

We will need:

Large T-shirt (several sizes larger)
scissors
needles, thread or sewing machine
chalk

Cut off the sleeves from an old t-shirt. Then we proceed to the cut. At this point, you need to determine how thick the straps we want and how deep the neckline. Depending on this, cut off the neck of the T-shirt.

Then, on the wrong side, draw a horizontal line at the level where our top will end, and cut it off. Top edges can be hemmed. To do this, you first need to make an overlap of 1 centimeter on all sides. If the fabric is soft and begins to curl a little, leave the top as it is.

Voila! Light and cute top is ready. Under the bottom, you can wear a bright swimsuit, bra or other T-shirt. Ideal for summer holidays or sports.

15. T-shirt with a heart

We will need:

Plain T-shirt a couple of sizes too big
an old t-shirt or piece of cloth to cut out a heart
scissors
sewing machine
pins
chalk

First, cut off the collar to make a wide-necked T-shirt that falls off one shoulder.

Then, turn the shirt inside out and draw a heart. Draw lines inside the heart, at a distance of 2-3 cm from each other. Cut them carefully.

From the wrong side we sew a piece of bright fabric on the heart. Then, manually, we sew each strip of the heart, using threads in the color of the fabric. Cut off the excess and a stylish t-shirt is ready!

16. T-shirt with bows on the back

We will need:

plain t-shirt in size
a piece of colored fabric or a bright old t-shirt
sewing machine
scissors
needle and thread
chalk

Lay the t-shirt upside down and mark the spot where we want to make the cutout. Carefully cut with scissors. The neckline can run from the throat to the very bottom. So it ends in the middle of the back, depending on personal preferences.

From colored matter we make the required number of bows (minimum 4). Their size directly depends on the width of the cutout on the back. When the bows are ready, manually sew them to the T-shirt, while not forgetting to bend the edges of the cutout 0.5-1 centimeter inward. Then carefully sew all the seams.

17. T-shirt with original mesh

We will need:

Wide T-shirt
chalk
scissors
rivets

We lay out the T-shirt on a flat surface, turn it inside out and draw 10 vertical lines on both sides of the neck at the same level (1-2 cm wide). We cut them and connect the strips in a checkerboard pattern with the help of rivets. Then, we make a vertical cut of 20-30 centimeters below on one side of the T-shirt. We tie the edges with a knot.

Voila, the t-shirt is ready!

We will need:

Big T-shirt
scissors

We lay out the T-shirt on a flat surface and cut off the sleeves to make large armholes; cut off the throat, forming a deep neckline, and shorten the bottom of the T-shirt. We do not throw away the lower border, we still need it.

At the back we make a cutout a little larger than at the front. Then we tie the fabric between the shoulder blades on the back with a thin ribbon and wind the border on top, which we cut off from the bottom of the T-shirt. We make an inconspicuous knot and cut off the excess. We shorten the bottom of the T-shirt in front and a beautiful summer T-shirt is ready!

19. Cutout denim shirt

We will need:

Denim shirt
scissors
ruler
pen
needle and thread
sewing pins

Turn the shirt inside out and use a pen to mark a horizontal line where we want to cut.

Cut the fabric along the seam lines.

We turn the shirt inside out and fold a few millimeters of fabric inward. We pin with pins and sew with invisible stitches. We iron it and the original shirt is ready!

20. Black cutout shirt

We will need:

Black shirt (or any other color with a turn-down collar and button placket)
scissors
chalk
sewing pins
needle and thread in the color of the shirt
glue

First of all, we put on a shirt and stand near the mirror to mark with chalk where we want to make holes. It is necessary to take into account their location so that our bra does not peek out. Once we've marked the hole on one side of the shirt, we need to copy the pattern onto paper so we can transfer it to the other side for a symmetrical look.

We cut the fabric, retreating 1 centimeter from the intended pattern. We make small cuts along the entire edge of the resulting cutout. To avoid wrinkles, it is best to sew on a mannequin or put a shirt on a pillow and stab it in the back with pins. Sew with blind stitches along the entire length or glue with glue if you don’t want to sew. At the end, iron the edges with an iron and the shirt is ready!

21. Backless shirt

We will need:

voluminous shirt
scissors
needle and thread

We turn the shirt inside out and mark the line where the neckline will be. Carefully cut with scissors along the line from one shoulder to the other.

We bend the edges by 1 centimeter and sew or sew with threads by hand. We retreat on both sides by 5 centimeters and make a few stitches to fasten the upper and lower back of the shirt together.

Voila! Stylish thing is ready!

We will need:

Plain button-down shirt with turn-down collar
beads of at least two colors
scissors
needle and thread

We lay out the shirt on a flat surface and sew the beads to the collar in a chaotic manner.

23. Sweater with an open back

We will need:

Sweater or sweatshirt (we select from a material that will not stick around and crumble)
Velcro or button
scissors
needle and thread

Fold the sweater in half vertically and mark the middle. Then, cut it on the back in a straight line. We sew Velcro or a button on top so that the sweater does not unbutton itself. If desired, you can tuck the edges, iron them and sew with blind stitches.

24. Original sweater

We will need:

Sweatshirt
colored tape
sharp scissors
needles and thread

First of all, we cut off the throat from the sweatshirt to get a fairly deep neckline that falls from one shoulder.

Then, using scissors or a cutter, we make about 15 rows of small holes at a distance of 1-1.5 centimeters from each other. The holes must be at the same level. Their number gradually decreases, reaching the lower rows.

We populate the tape in the holes. The ends must be sewn with a few secret stitches to the sweatshirt or simply tied in a knot.

That's all!

25. Sweater with patches on the elbows

We will need:

Sweater
shiny fabric or sequins
scissors
needle and thread
paper and pen

Use your hand as a template. We circle it on paper, forming an oval and cut it out.

We apply the template to the shiny fabric and fix it. Cut out patches. We make sure that they are the same shape.

Attach the patches to the sweater with pins to make sure they are in the right place. With inner stitches, carefully sew the patches to the sweater.

Patches can be of any shape and from any material.

26. Stylish T-shirt scarf

We will need:

Old T-shirt (the larger the better)
scissors
ruler
chalk

Cut off the bottom of the T-shirt. Then we draw horizontal stripes on the wrong side, 2-4 centimeters wide.

We get many rings, which we stretch one by one until they begin to twist inward.

Cut the hem of the T-shirt to make a long ribbon. Gather all the rings together and wrap the ribbon around the hem several times to secure the scarf. We tie it into a knot, cut off the excess, and tuck the ends under the ribbon.

Unusual scarf is ready! Looks great with long hair or a messy bun.

27. Bright jeans #1

We will need:

Pair of jeans
fine brush
paint or corrector
paper

First of all, we decide what kind of pattern we will apply to the jeans. We outline the places where the pattern will be located. Then we cut a stencil out of paper. We apply it to jeans and very carefully paint over with paint or corrector so that it does not spread beyond the borders of the stencil.

28. Bright jeans #2

We will need:

Pair of jeans
cutter
wooden plank
sandpaper
marker

We lay out the jeans on a hard surface and outline the places where we want to make scuffs. Then, using sandpaper, lightly overwrite these places.

We put a wooden board inside the leg so as not to cut through the jeans and arm ourselves with a chisel. We make horizontal cuts of different lengths at a distance of several millimeters from each other. At the end, we paint over the threads with a regular marker, in a bright color.

29. Fashionable skirt, shortened in front

We will need:

Long non-pleated skirt
scissors
needle and thread
iron

Fold the skirt in half so that the fold passes through the center of the front. We put it on the floor and cut out a piece so that the mini-part smoothly goes to the bottom.

Each time we put on a skirt and see what happens. If necessary, we level, because it is always better to undercut than to cut off too much. After we were satisfied with the long and curved line, we fold all the edges by 1 centimeter and smooth it with an iron.

Then we sew the edges of the hem with small stitches, using threads to match the fabric. At the end, we again go through all the seams with an iron.

Stylish skirt is ready!

30. Denim jumpsuit

We will need:

Denim overalls
scissors

We measure the overalls and note how long we want to make it. We cut off the legs not in a straight line, but with a slight rise to the top. Then carefully cut off the pocket on the chest.

To make the jumpsuit look modern, remove the buckles. We shorten the harnesses and make a hole for the button at the end. If desired, the edges of the shorts can be hemmed.

31. Gladiator sandals

We will need:

Sandals in the finger
long leather cord or thin ribbons (4 meters)
scissors
glue

Sandals will look much more natural if you thread the lace through an existing hole.

We cut the cord into two even parts of two meters. We stretch it through the hole and glue it from below if we do not want it to slide in different directions.
Then just weave around the leg tightly enough so that the lace does not fall down, and symmetrically so that the sandals look beautiful. Weave as high as we like and finish with a small bow at the back.

32. Shoes-cats

We have to:

Ballerinas (preferably solid color with a round toe and plenty of room in the front)
black paint (acrylic), black marker
brushes
masking tape
white paint and white marker

First, we tape the shoes with tape, hard enough so that the paint does not seep through.

We paint the socks with black paint to get an even color, without light gaps. When the paint is dry, remove the tape and draw small triangles for the ears. You can also use painter's tape for this if it's not very smooth by hand.

To draw the eyes, use white paint, marker or corrector. With it, we draw a thin mustache and nose.

And voila! The latest fashion trend has appeared in our wardrobe!

33. New flip flops

We will need:

A couple of the most ordinary flip flops
ribbon, in the color of shoes
beads and beads of a suitable color

We sew beads and beads in a chaotic manner with a thread of the same color as the ribbon.

In half an hour, stylish flip flops are ready!

34. Freshen up black shoes

We will need:

A pair of black shoes, rounded or pointed
masking tape
brush
white and neon yellow acrylic paint

Cover the shoes with masking tape. We carefully smooth it so that the paint does not leak under the bottom.

First, we make one layer of white paint and let it dry for several hours. Then paint yellow. We remove too pronounced strokes and let the shoes dry a little.

Wet your fingers with water and run them over the paint to smooth out bumps and lines. We remove the masking tape when the paint is not yet completely dry, and then leave the shoes on all night.

Voila! And you get trendy shoes from your old, boring pair.

35. Sports bag

We will need:

Don't be afraid to experiment and be bright!

Perhaps the most popular summer wear is a thin top or t-shirt. In hot weather, in the wardrobe of every fashionista there are many of these items of clothing of different designs and colors.

Fashion is changeable, and with the onset of the warm season, you buy new clothes that may no longer be relevant next year.
Do not rush to throw away your old boring T-shirts. A few strokes of scissors, a couple of stitches, and you can get something original and beautiful!

If you are one of those who feel sorry for throwing away old t-shirts, this post is especially for you!
Below you will see some interesting ways to transform unwanted T-shirts and become the owner of fashionable things.

The easiest option is to cut the T-shirt on the back, and then casually tie it.

A plain t-shirt can be easily converted into an original one with just one patch pocket. One simple element can sometimes refresh the whole look!

To create this beauty, in addition to a beautiful fabric with a pattern, you will need basic sewing skills and a sewing machine.

How about choosing the shape and size of the neckline or cutout on the back yourself? The easiest way is to cut them out with scissors! All you have to do is select your design and carefully transfer it onto the T-shirt.

Geometry is always in fashion, especially if the T-shirt is in such a trendy color for summer. In this case, to make the triangles look neat, it is desirable to process their corners.

To create such a model, you will need to cut a semicircle on your back and decorate it with ribbons or a beautiful fabric, or even a light scarf. The choice is yours!

A little effort, a needle and thread, rubber bands to match the T-shirt or a suitable fabric...

With the help of bright stripes, you can give an accent to any, even very nondescript thing.

This piece of clothing is perfect for an avid fashionista. It can be worn with summer trousers, shorts, jeans and even in an ensemble with a high-waisted skirt.

Here's an easier way, without using a needle and thread!

This option is somewhat more complicated, but also more interesting.

Just choose a pattern to your liking and let's get started!

You will have to work hard on such drawings, but the result is clearly worth it!

Elegant, isn't it?

Options for brave girls who love to stand out.

In order not to die from the heat in the summer, you simply need such a T-shirt!

With the help of metal studs and black laces, you will get a stylish designer blouse.

And here is a rather interesting option for using lacing on the back. You don't need a sewing machine for this makeover.
Cut out the central part of the back, cut it into thin strips and tie it into one long cord. Then make holes on the sides in what is left of the back and lace up.

This summer's trend is dropped shoulders.

Cut off the neck of the T-shirt to reveal the shoulders. Bend and hem, according to the width of the gum.
Next, measure the required length of the elastic band around the circumference of the shoulders, pulling it a little, cut off the necessary piece and pull it into the finished product.

Butterfly T-shirt is another great option for a hot summer.

All you have to do is rip one side of the T-shirt open, turn the back of it 2 times, and sew it back up again!

See how to do it:

The next option is somewhat more complicated, but very original - worth the effort!

A wonderful solution for a holiday by the sea.

Old wide t-shirts can be used to create a pareo that only you will have.

Beautiful and original summer clothes can be purchased in stores, or you can, which is much more economical and easier, make your own hands. In addition, this is a very interesting creative process that captures and captivates. It's always nice to know that this original T-shirt was created by you.
I hope this collection has inspired you for a new remake.

New life for old things.
