How to choose the right ski clothes. Snowboard clothing companies. #Ventilation in ski jackets

Want to know how to choose the right ski jacket? What important details should you pay attention to when purchasing? After reading this work, these and many other questions will disappear.

Dive in and arm yourself (with knowledge, of course!)

It would seem: how much can you talk about the same thing?! They were already digging and fiddling with clothes, thermal underwear, and gloves. And again about jackets and pants?

Yes, that's not enough. No matter how much we frolic in the cold waters of the ski ocean, we still want more and more - because this reservoir is boundless! (It's cold, but we're climbing - a paradox!) And now we're diving for another pearl - how to choose the right ski jacket!
So don’t forget my underwater steamer, it will benefit you! (I love communicating with you, you can’t imagine what a joy it is!)

Well, that's it, we hugged each other to celebrate, now let's go hiking!

In order to accurately choose a ski jacket, you first need to study the subject well. This applies not only to jackets, but also to the rest of the ski equipment.

Today we will go through all the significant characteristics that will help you take out of the store what you need, and not the most colorful or expensive.

#Categories of ski jackets

All jackets can be conditionally divided into five categories (there is a picture just below, but don’t look yet, let’s do a little test):

  • Sport
  • Glamor
  • Freeride
  • Trails

Let's decipher:

Sport- this, of course, is for athletes, or for those who want to be like them. Distinctive features: very warm (should instantly warm the athlete after the race) and a lot of stripes that indicate that the owner belongs to famous teams and famous brands.

A park- here the main criterion is not to be as similar as possible to other guests of the ski resort. This is achieved mainly due to the length of the jacket and street style (in addition to pants lowered to the knees). Products are inexpensive, designed for young guys who have not yet got their own money.

Glamor- such a jacket should by all means show others that they paid a lot of money for it. In addition to intricate patches and fur-trimmed hoods, iridescent materials are used. Such jackets are worn only by respectable ladies and gentlemen.

Glamorous jackets are mainly sold in specialized boutiques: Sport + Fashion, Bogner and others.

Freeride- since freeriders lie around in deep snow all day long, far from the pistes, they must have appropriate clothing - as technologically advanced as possible. It is designed to push back the moment the rider gets wet as far as possible in time - characteristics such as protection from moisture and effective removal of excess heat from the body come first.

Trails- the most popular segment and within it you can find “counterfeits” for all the classes described above. This is its distinctive feature. Prices range from the cheapest to the average, but they are far from quality jackets for freeride and the glamorous class.

The most indiscriminate public, or more precisely, they have not yet decided, are fans of the tracks, in the initial stages. It will be very difficult to force the rest to buy clothes of an alien class. They can only accept it as a gift, but they will not wear it. More likely, they will sell and buy their uniforms (I’m the same).

You can understand us. For example, you won’t see a young lady in a brocade jumpsuit outside the piste, and the maximum GORE-TEX is not very valued among those who are used to sitting out (dancing) their ski vacation in bars. And an experienced freerider will never buy a jacket with a warm lining; he will shoot himself sooner.

One can, in passing, conclude: although skiing symbolizes freedom, skiers themselves are not very free in choosing ski clothes, and when purchasing they look at the opinions of their fellow gang members.

Now cover the caption for this photo and try to guess which category this or that jacket belongs to:

Happened?

#Membrane in ski jackets

The membrane is a material that is responsible for removing excess heat from the body and protecting against dampness (rain, snow). There are high-quality membranes, and there are average ones - the difference is in the efficiency of fulfilling the duties assigned to them. The more effective, the more expensive the jacket. Very often it is the membrane fabric that makes up the lion's share of the cost of the jacket.

Quality membranes are more often found in sports, glamor and freeride jackets. In highway and park applications, simple membrane fabric is used, since consumers in this class are either not very demanding or are not yet ready to pay.

#Lining

Jackets come with or without lining.

But if your pants run out at the waist, and you are still trying to climb into virgin soil, then the jacket should be longer. But not too much (like parking attendants) - it will interfere when riding and when landing in a chair.

#Anatomy of sleeves

Anatomically tailored (bent) sleeves are already a classic of alpine skiing, like cowboy jeans. When we ski, our arms are bent - there are poles in them. Without such a detail, the sleeves of the jacket, when bent, will form thick, disturbing folds.

#Hood

Look, if you ride on very green or blue slopes, and there is a developed infrastructure around, then you don’t really need a hood - just go straight to the bar to warm up.

But if you ride in the wild mountains, far from electricity, then a large hood (which can also be pulled over the helmet) is indispensable. It's dry outside and the wind doesn't blow.

The hood should have drawstrings (at the back and/or front) that can be used to adjust its size and fit to the head. Be sure to pay attention to this, otherwise the hood will sit crooked and irritate you all the way.

#Fit and stretch

Another point is freedom of movement. There is only one piece of advice: in the store, put on a jacket over the fleece, as if you were skating, and then wave your arms, squat, and spin left and right. If nothing interferes (though it shouldn’t hang like a grandfather’s jacket on his grandson), then the jacket is yours.

Materials in the production of jackets play an important role: if the fabric in your jacket is 4 way stretch, then you are guaranteed freedom of movement.

If not, then the main focus is on a good cut.

#Zip in ski jackets

If we choose a jacket in the middle and cheap segment, then the main zipper should be closed with a protective flap - this is very useful during cold, windy weather. For example, in Sheregesh there may be a sudden blizzard, and then you can’t do without thoughtful clothing.

If we can afford more expensive jackets, then such a strap is optional (see the picture below) - such products use high-quality and glued zippers, they are not afraid of any wind or rain.

Under the chin, the zipper should be closed with a fold of fabric so that the cold lock does not freeze to the skin, scratch the stubble and interfere with skating:

On other jackets, for the same reasons, the zipper can be moved to the side, as on this one from Mammut:

#Pockets in ski jackets

There can be either many or few pockets in modern jackets, it all depends on its purpose. If you ride on the slopes and are not used to a backpack, then choose multi-pocket ones so that you can cram everything you can into them.

#Number of pockets

If you are a fan of deep fluffy snow, and your shoulders have long been accustomed to a backpack (in which the main luggage rests), then your choice is jackets with an emphasis on protection against dampness and removal of excess heat from the body. They have a minimum of pockets.

Nothing should bulge or hinder movement when skating off-piste. Nothing should touch tree branches when riding in the forest.

It’s easier for girls: the backpack always rides on men’s shoulders. And some ladies use it to the fullest - they load their gentleman with several kilograms of cosmetics and other things needed on the mountain. With this approach, their suit fits nowhere better, and that's all our beauties need.

#Pockets for documents and money

General note: the contents of the pockets should not create a camel hump on the chest, and using them should be as convenient as possible even with a backpack, which you will sooner or later acquire.

There are internal pockets for wallets and documents - they are more protected from moisture by a quality lining.

#Pockets for gadgets

There are special pockets for smartphones and players. They are equipped with special holes and clips for headphones.

On the left sleeve there is often a pocket (closed with a zipper) for a contactless ski pass; this is definitely a necessary thing on all modern slopes. On the left, because in modern resorts the ski pass reading systems are located on the left.

Sometimes a place for a ski pass can be found under the sleeve cuff.

#Pockets for gloves and masks

Inside the jacket, a couple of mesh pockets are very useful to stash your mask and gloves.

#Cloth for wiping masks and other little things

Be sure to rummage through the pockets of your new jacket while you're still in the store - you can find a lot of useful things there. Most often there is a cloth for wiping the mask. A small thing, but very necessary.

One day, I bought a Westbeach jacket and in it I found a portable ashtray and guitar pick. I think this set was intended to kill boredom on the ski lift - you smoke, mannerly shake the ashes into a personal ashtray, and between puffs you play with a pick on your teeth.

#Ventilation in ski jackets

Ventilation zippers are usually located under the arms.

But sometimes they are embedded on the front panel of the jacket, closer to the sides. In these places they are easier to unfasten, but they are further from the armpits.

Do not buy ski and snowboard clothing without ventilation holes. Today not a single decent jacket or pants can do without them.

Another important nuance: zippers are much easier to close if there are extensions on the zipper tabs, which you can properly grab even with gloves on.

It is better to have waterproof zippers (ask the seller). And then: fabric with a membrane, the seams are taped, and water flows through the zipper? Disorder.

We went down to the belt, and here we are waiting for another piece of ski and snowboard clothing, without which you cannot go skiing: a snow skirt. If your jacket does not have a skirt, then it is not a ski jacket, and you have been cheated.

A snow skirt is always needed. It protects from the wind (does not blow under clothes), when falling and riding in deep powder, it prevents snow from getting under the jacket.

It comes with a zipper and, on a day off from skiing, you can unfasten it.

#Attaching the skirt to the pants

Sometimes, it can be fastened not only to a jacket, but also to pants - and then you get almost a jumpsuit - a useful feature.

#Protective cuffs

Cuffs can be used to narrow the jacket sleeve at the wrist so that even if you fall, snow does not get into it.

It is better to give preference to jacket models that have double cuffs: the inside is elastic, tightly clasping the arm, and the outside is longer, with adjustable coverage with Velcro.

When paired with the right gloves, these cuffs really keep you dry and comfortable while riding. It is clear that if the sleeve length is sufficient, otherwise the wind will blow between the cuff and the glove.

#Adjusting the jacket from the bottom

This adjustment at the bottom of the jacket (usually a lace or elastic) allows you to choose a comfortable degree of fit around your hips - so as not to blow.

#Other features of ski jackets

Some manufacturers equip their products with RECCO technology. It helps to find missing people (those lost, caught in an avalanche) using search equipment that ski resort rescuers are equipped with. If such equipment does not exist, then the technology is useless.

There is a beacon on the sleeve, which is used by rescuers to find directions.

In Russia, according to my sources, only two resorts are equipped with RECCO equipment - Gorki Gorod and Rosa Khutor. In the world it is used in more than 600 rescue service units, including ski resorts. go to my Powder store and see what designs I create for you mountain lovers.

I approach the creation of these clothes with the same responsibility as I approach each dive of the LET IT SNOW bathyscaphe.

Let's float up... no, one second...

Now let's emerge, thank you for being with us again! Until the next trip!

Snowboarding clothing, which has its own characteristics and characteristics, must be selected correctly. When choosing, it is important to pay attention to each element. There are many manufacturers on the market who, over the years, have earned a reputation for quality products.

How to choose clothes for snowboarding?

The selection of equipment should be approached responsibly and many parameters should be taken into account, for example, the characteristics of the top covering and insulation, the presence of additional elements, design, and so on. The main principle of choice is layers, of which snowboard clothing should have three:

  1. . Many people mistakenly believe that it should warm the body, but in fact the task of the first layer is to prevent hypothermia. Linen should absorb moisture well and evaporate it, so choose synthetic models made of polyester. For a tight fit to the body, the presence of elastane is important.
  2. Insulation. The second layer should retain heat, but also get rid of excess heat. An excellent solution is a fleece sweatshirt or hoodie.
  3. Membrane. How the previous two will cope with their tasks depends on this layer. The main function of the membrane is not to absorb moisture from the external environment and not to prevent its evaporation. The parameter on snowboard clothing is designated as Waterproof and you should choose an average value of 8000-10000 mm. Another parameter is RET and the smaller it is, the better air exchange will be provided.

It is important to understand what to wear when snowboarding, so clothing, that is, equipment, should include:

Ski and snowboard clothing - differences

Many people do not know that equipment for winter sports is different and it is important to take this into account to ensure a comfortable ride. Clothing for alpine skiing and snowboarding has the following differences:

  1. Cut. Skiing is about speed and aerodynamics, so clothing needs to be tighter. For snowboarders, on the contrary, freedom of movement is important, so jackets will be looser and longer, about 2-3 sizes larger. The pants will also be wider, with more pockets and internal and external ventilation.
  2. Colors. Traditionally, young people are considered to be involved, so in most cases, snowboarding clothes are bright with different patterns, and for skiers - calmer tones.
  3. Textile. For skiing, it is recommended to choose products made of eco-friendly fabric with a good membrane, and for snowboarding - thick and durable fabric.

In just a few decades, snowboarding has confidently entered the TOP of winter sports and received an Olympic license. The army of his fans is regularly replenished with new recruits. The amazing world of ride beckons with bright emotions, high speeds, drive. In the wardrobe of every fearless conqueror of steep descents on a sliding board there should be a jacket for.

Beginner riders often run into trouble trying to find a jacket. The symbols and letters of the labels do not tell them anything. In fact, everything is not so difficult. Looking at the label, you should pay attention to the following inscriptions and numbers:

Designation on the labelDecodingSemantic meaning, classification
Waterproof,W/R,WaterproofDenotes the ability of the fabric not to get wet under the pressure of the water column. Minimum value 3000 mm, maximum 30000 mm. It has four categories of resistance - drizzling, light, heavy rain or snow, storm. For snowboarding, a coefficient of 10,000 is sufficient.
Breathable,MVTR,Vapor permeabilityShows how many grams of material can be removed from one m² of surface per day. The lowest value is 3000, the highest is 30000. The optimal coefficient for amateur snowboarders is 10000.
Water Repellence,DWRPresence of impregnation that repels waterTreatment with a special composition does not allow drops of water to penetrate into the material. They just roll off clothes. The impregnation is gradually washed off. Therefore, machine washing with a spin cycle is contraindicated for the jacket, just like regular powders.

Knowing what the inscriptions on the labels of snow jackets mean, choosing an item of equipment will not be difficult. The size range does not differ from the usual gradation adopted for down jackets.

What is the difference between a sports jacket and a snowboard jacket?

The rider's outerwear differs from the classic suit of a slalomist or a downhill master. Women's and men's loose-fitting snowboard jackets do not restrict the athlete's movements at all. Their indispensable attributes are a voluminous hood with drawstrings that easily fits over the helmet and spacious pockets.

The lining of the jackets is made of special membrane fabric. There are ventilation pockets in the armpits, back and sleeves. An internal cuff that stretches over the wrist prevents snow from getting under the sleeve. The stand-up collar protects the neck from the wind. Bottom ties help keep you warm longer when riding in frosty weather.

Snowboard Jacket Material

The changing nature often brings surprises to tourists who go to the ski resort on the weekend. Therefore, snowboarders are accustomed to conquering the slopes in any weather. Their clothing is designed specifically to ensure comfortable riding.

Jackets have a complex structure. A membrane is hidden under a dense and durable coating. Behind it is insulation and lining. Each layer performs its own task. The main functions of regulating heat transfer are assigned to the membrane.

Characteristics of different types of membranes

This material has unique features. It absorbs moisture released by the body, keeping the snowboarder feeling comfortable. Experts distinguish three types of membranes:

  1. Porous. The mesh has holes so small that not even a molecule of liquid can escape. But steam penetrates freely through the material. The membrane works excellently, with the exception of one drawback. The microscopic cells become clogged over time, and the perforated base is not very durable. Therefore, jackets with such a membrane need delicate washing.
  2. Poreless. The material has a tendency to active diffusion. Moisture accumulated on its surface is absorbed and discharged out in the form of condensation. The membrane base is durable, resistant to stretching and wear.
  3. Combined. A composite material consisting of two components - porous and solid. It has the advantages of other types of membranes and does not have their disadvantages. Jackets with a similar innovative component are included in the equipment of board aces.

Membranes can consist of 2, 3 or 2.5 layers. On the reverse side they are protected by a fine mesh or a coating of foamed synthetic material.

Water-repellent impregnation

While the inside of the athlete’s body is protected from excess moisture by a membrane, the outside is protected by a special coating of the jacket. The impregnation perfectly repels water. Even the smallest particles of condensate contained in a dense fog are absorbed onto the surface treated with the composition into droplets. They flow down freely without causing any inconvenience to the snowboarder. The protective layer must be renewed periodically. Impregnation is available in the form of an aerosol. A can of the composition can be bought at any sports store.

What to pay attention to?

Experienced snowboarders advise you to pay attention to several points when choosing a jacket. It should be light and warm. It is better to choose models with ventilation pockets fastened with zippers. The small visor of the hood will make riding in sunny weather comfortable.

The size is selected so that the clothing does not restrict movement when wearing protection. The bottom edge should cover the beginning of the thigh, and the cuffs should reach the hands when the arms are raised. A jacket that is too short is not an option. When it falls, snow will accumulate under it.

The quality of the seams deserves attention. In the best models, the stitching is completely glued or protected with tape. Leaky seams will get wet. When choosing a color, do not limit yourself. A rider in bright clothes stands out among the whiteness of the slope. Therefore, the likelihood of an accidental collision is minimized. The best outfit option would be a colorful, colorful jacket.

Popular makes and models

Many top companies produce sportswear for snowboarders. The following brands stand out from the general range:

  1. Peak Performance. Produces the most elegant jackets for women and brutal models for men. GORE-TEX series membranes provide the highest level of comfort.
  2. Norröna. The brand is especially popular in the Nordic countries. Equipment with a company logo belongs to the elite category of goods.
  3. Marmot. Produces good clothes with membranes of the NanoPro family.
  4. Patagonia. It is famous for its high-quality clothing for freeride, snowboarding, and winter tourism.
  5. Haglofs. The company's models are relatively inexpensive. The key to the popularity of branded clothing is 100 years of experience in producing sports equipment.
  6. Columbia. Creates cheap but high-quality equipment for snowboarding.

Knowing what to look for when choosing snowboarding gear will make purchasing easier. It will be much more pleasant to ride a board in a warm, comfortable, beautiful one.

What is a membrane? How many pockets should there be? What kind of fasteners should there be? How to properly care? Where can I buy?

Compiling a review of clothing for winter sports - what could be simpler, it would seem? What's so hard about putting together several jackets and trousers, pairing them with colorful pom-pom hats, gloves and mittens? But I could not even imagine how global my delusion was. After a long study of forums and websites, looking at photographs of satisfied friends on snow-covered slopes and polling acquaintances, it became clear that the most problems arise with the choice of clothing for snowboarding and alpine skiing. An unsuccessfully selected kit can discourage a beginner from riding and frustrate an experienced rider who has high hopes for the new season. There is enough material for a number of articles, and the first one is devoted to choosing a snowboard and ski jacket.

Autumn-winter collection of the Icepeak brand.

What to pay attention to?

The basic requirements for clothing for riding are lightness, warmth, practicality, water and wind resistance. A snowboard jacket is usually larger in size than a ski jacket - this is their main difference, and other parameters are approximately the same. When trying on a jacket, you need to fully button it up and raise your arms up - the clothes should not restrict movement or ride up. It is better to pay attention to things in bright colors and with reflective stripes, which will help you to be visible among the snow and in poorly lit places.

What else is worth paying attention to?

1. Laser perforation on the collar is necessary for ventilation, the same usually happens in the armpit area.
2. The zipper must be impregnated with a special compound so that it does not get wet.
3. Zipper pulls should be large and non-metallic so that they are easy to unfasten while wearing gloves.
4. Cuffs should be double-layered, the inner one made of fleece or Polartek or Lycra, the outer one made of elastic with flaps with buttons or Velcro.

5. Snowboard jackets should have a large hood to fit over a helmet, while ski jackets should have a small hood. The visor will protect from snowfall, and the side wings and transparent windows will protect from the wind.
6. The inside of the collar should be made of polartek or fleece, which quickly removes moisture.
7. The lining of the jacket should be made of synthetic or semi-natural materials that easily absorb moisture and dry quickly.
8. The seams must be taped and reinforced with special tape.
9. Pockets should be located on the sides, on the chest for a phone or walkie-talkie, on the sleeve for a ski pass and inside for documents.
10. Buttons inside the jacket are necessary for fastening trousers, so snow will not get under your clothes.
11, 12. The inner skirt and elastic fasteners should protect from snow.

Label

The presence of a membrane is considered important - this is an internal covering of the fabric or a special weave of threads, thanks to which water does not pass inside, and body evaporation is easily removed outside.

The water resistance of the membrane is indicated in millimeters and means how much water the jacket will withstand during the day.

3000 mm is the minimum value at which the jacket can be worn in snow or light rain; this indicator is more applicable to an urban environment than on the slopes.

10000 mm is the average value at which the jacket will not get wet in heavy rain and snow.

30000 mm is the maximum value at which the jacket can withstand extreme weather conditions.

Vapor permeability is determined in grams of water, which is the fabric area of 1 square. m. passes in 24 hours.

5000 g/sq.m. – average, suitable for traditional skating.

10000 g/sq.m. – the maximum indicator applicable for professional sports.

The best fabrics are Goretex, Dermizax, Pertex, Prooface, MemBrain, PreClip. They have a waterproof rating of at least 20,000 mm, and breathability of about 6,000 g / sq.m.

Outside, the fabric is covered with an additional water-repellent DWR layer, due to which water is not absorbed, but rolls off the surface of the jacket. This coating is short-lived, but it can be updated using special products sold in snowboard or ski equipment stores.

A few words about care: jackets must be washed by hand using special products or, in extreme cases, laundry soap. Such clothes should not be ironed, otherwise the outer fabric may be damaged.

Where to buy?

When choosing a jacket, you should first decide on its purpose. The equipment of an avid rider will not be useful for a beginner, and elegant jackets will not suit athletes who spend most of the day on the slopes. Clothes that are comfortable to ride in, for example, in the Moscow region, will not withstand the load in the mountains, where there is strong humidity.

Among snowboarders, clothes from the brands Burton, 686, DC, Quiksilver, Bonfire, and Volcom are popular. Skiers choose items from the brands Bogner, Schoffel, Rossignol, Icepeak, The North Face, and Phenix. Russian companies Baon, Red Fox, Bask, Stayer have also proven themselves well among lovers of outdoor activities - clothes are made from high-quality materials and are quite affordable.

Experienced riders prefer to order clothes from online stores, based on technical specifications. For beginners, it’s better to go to specialized stores, such as “Kant”, “Trial Sport”, where salespeople will help you choose the first set.

Snowboarding and skiing are among the most accessible sports. And for an active and pleasant holiday you need appropriate clothing, reliable, waterproof, elastic. There are certain requirements for sportswear in general, and especially for winter sports. We want to enjoy our vacation, not have health problems.

To fully enjoy snowboarding, you will need:

  1. Jacket;
  2. trousers or suit;
  3. special boots;
  4. thermal underwear;
  5. accessories.

How to choose the right snowboarding equipment, what to pay attention to first – we’ll look at it below.

Snowboarding clothing should be:

  • Warm;
  • Lightweight;
  • Breathable;
  • Waterproof;
  • Windproof.

In clothes that restrict movement, the process of skating, instead of pleasure and a good mood, will bring disappointment. Therefore, when choosing, you need to determine:

  • What material is the suit made of?
  • Do you need a hood, extra padding around the wrists, a closed zipper (protected from snow accumulation).
  • Determine clothing size. We raise and lower our arms up and down. The jacket should not ride up. Clothes that are too tight or baggy should not be worn, but trousers should be roomy.
  • When deciding on the style of your suit, remember that classic colors are always appropriate and it is advisable that the suit have reflective elements.
  • Large pockets are useful for glasses, for example, and small ones for a player or other small items.

Snowboarding equipment is multi-layered clothing, usually consisting of three layers: base, middle and top (outer).

  • The bottom layers (inner and middle) can be selected from your home wardrobe.
  • It is advisable to choose or buy a top layer made of waterproof fabric. Nowadays many different models made from special fabrics are produced. Clothing made from such fabrics has good thermoregulation and does not get wet.
  • The base or inner layer is worn on the body and absorbs moisture that is released during active movement.
  • Underwear consists of a T-shirt, pants and snowboard socks (must reach mid-calf).
  • The second layer or middle layer is insulation, retains heat - a fleece pullover, a comfortable sweater, or special sweatshirts are better.
  • The third outer layer of clothing is protective - this is especially durable and wear-resistant clothing.
  • Pants worn over underwear should be wide enough.
  • For beginners, it is better to purchase overalls to prevent snow from getting under their clothes.

Typically, jackets, pants, and overalls are also made of three layers:

  1. The lining is made of natural, semi-natural or synthetic fabric.
  2. Filling is usually regular goose down or synthetic, also often used.
  3. The top is waterproof polyester or modern so-called membrane fabric. Clothing made from this fabric has the property of not letting moisture through, not getting wet, but removing excess moisture from the body, providing good thermoregulation.

Special boots must have protective and shock-absorbing functions. When purchasing, choose lightweight ones with rubber or foam rubber soles. It is better with a gel shock absorber, but it is also possible with a regular air capsule. Please note that the active part of the boot, which over time takes the shape of the leg, protects from impacts and sprains. By loosening or tightening the laces, you can adjust the stiffness of each shoe.

The difference between adult and children's equipment

For snowboarding, all men's, women's and children's clothing must be chosen from a professional assortment, designed specifically for the sport. Adult equipment differs from children's equipment mainly only in color – bright and colorful. A helmet and a fairly large hood on the jacket are also required for children. Adults, especially those who are not beginners, can get by with special hats.

Goggles, masks and gloves are required for everyone.

Children's clothing should have special carabiners for attaching gloves so they don't get lost.

A snowboarding suit should protect against injury from possible falls on ice or rocks. Be comfortable and spacious enough to not restrict movement when descending from snowy mountain slopes.

  • It is very important to choose the right mount. If you decide to become a snowboarder then: first buy comfortable, reliable boots, then choose a good binding, and only now buy a snowboard. By acting in this sequence, you will avoid many unpleasant surprises.
  • Glasses or a mask, preferably with double glass (will not fog up), will protect from sunlight, snow, wind and random branches.
