Master class on creating a pencil box How to fold a container for pencils and pens out of cardboard and decorate it with simple quilling elements. The main idea here is, because you can come up with your own pattern, focusing on your imagination and skills in the quilling technique.

Materials:
Cardboard sheet
Carbon paper
Sackcloth
Green paper with streaks (Handi)
Stripes for quilling brown, beige, yellow and orange 3mm wide.
Quilling tool
PVA glue
Tweezers and scissors

Copy the pattern onto cardboard and cut out the blank. Bend the adhesive flaps. Glue the bottom of the pencil case first, then the side end, and finally its top.

Cut out two 10 x 8 cm and two 10 x 4 cm rectangles from burlap. Glue all sides of the workpiece with these pieces of burlap.

Twist brown strips into tight rolls. Glue them around the perimeter of each side in the form of a frame.

Twist the yellow strip into a spiral and pinch it on both sides with your fingers - this is a petal.

Curve the petal by etching downward with the index finger of one hand and the thumb of the other hand upward.

Glue two such petals together, and out of five such pairs - a flower. Glue on a flat surface, apply glue to the sides of the petals as close to the center of the flower as possible.

Roll up a tight orange roll - this is the core. Glue it to the center of the flower. Make 3 yellow flowers and 2 larger white ones.

Fold strips of green paper 2 cm wide in half lengthwise and cut out the leaves.

Glue the leaves first, then the flowers.

Lay the pencil holder horizontally until the glue is completely dry.

An organizer for stationery is a necessary thing not only for a needlewoman, but also for an ordinary student. It is convenient when there is a separate cup for pencils, pens, scissors, glue, paper clips and other little things, but all these cups should be in one small container and not take up much space. This idea is easy to implement using a candy box and toilet paper and duct tape reels. And for the external attractiveness of such an organizer, you can decorate the cardboard with denim.
pencil holder with your own hands.
Materials:

box of chocolates;
scotch cardboard reel, 3 toilet paper reels;
pressed denim;
good glue stick;
thick cardboard;
decorative elements.

Let's get to work:

We make measurements of the candy box and all round elements. Keep in mind that the inside of the box also needs to be glued, so try to make sure that the box can be glued in one piece. We transfer these sizes to jeans and make patterns.

To keep the box lid fixed, we fix it with thick cardboard.
Glue must be carefully impregnated with a pattern and glued to the box. First of all, glue the bottom and the back wall, then take care of the edges.

While the box dries, we will glue the round parts. Just remember to fold the fabric inside.

We decorate the bobbins and the box. To do this, you can use an interesting picture, braid, beads or rhinestones. Using a glue gun, attach the coils to the box.

Now let's take care of the design of the paper clip.

Materials:

rectangular piece of jeans;
braid;
scissors ;
threads;
needle;
button.

Let's get to work:

We fold the fabric in half and make cuts along the entire length. We lay the braid with a snake and grab it with a thread to the fabric, cut off the excess. We tighten the fabric, gently pulling the thread, we make a flower.

We sew the flower and sew a button in the middle.

With a hot gun, glue the resulting flower onto a paper clip.

We attach a flower to the finished pencil holder.

Everything, we can admire the result.

Original do-it-yourself pencil holder, crafts from a piece of logs. Making it with your own hands is quite easy. The idea is really good! You will need a drill to drill holes for pencils, a hacksaw (to saw off a log of the right size), sandpaper (to grind it).

And everything is ready! This pencil holder will give your home a little natural charm and will bring pleasure when creating it.

A great idea for those who love to create.

I really love rework, and today I will show you a remake of a jar of cotton swabs into a positive pencil holder, which makes me smile.))

So, we need: - a jar of cotton swabs; - multi-colored threads (I have "iris"); - two plastic containers from under shoe covers; - scissors, hook (I used hook No. 1.15 and No. 2), thread and needle.

We remove the lids from the containers, we do not need them. And we tie them in a spiral, i.e. We close 4 air loops in a circle, then 6 tbsp. single crochet, 12 st. single crochet, etc. by applying to the container and by eye.
This will be our eye, so we select the threads accordingly.

These are the bulging eyes we get:

In each row, I make increments by eye so that the circle is flat. When it becomes the right size, I no longer make increments.

For the jar, I chose rainbow colors, I really love the rainbow (the rainbow is a symbol of reconciliation):

And embroider the mouth:

And the positive pencil box is ready. It can be not only a pencil holder, but also a jar for rubber bands, buttons and other small things. And you can also make a pencil holder as a gift for a man, just by changing the colors and removing the embroidered smile.))) But I didn’t do that.))

I want to tell you how you can make a brutal cup from denim scraps.

There is nothing difficult in this. Together with shooting, everything about everything took a couple of hours.

You don't even need a needle and thread to make it, you just need to stock up on some materials that you would otherwise throw away. So, we need:

1) a thick cardboard tube on which linoleum is wound. It is clear that every day such a thing may not be present at home, but now you know what you can ask friends or relatives who started repairs. :) We threw this one out at one time (they were stupid), and I begged this one from my brother when he was doing repairs. I even had to cut it into pieces, since the three-meter one did not fit into the car;

2) a bunch of seams from old jeans. I used to rip jeans for alteration, but, firstly, it is terribly long, and secondly, a lot of thread debris is poured. So I just cut them off. That's what came in handy! You need to cut off the seams with a beautiful stitching (most often internal) close to the seam. It’s very good if they are different in color - it’s even more interesting;

3) a hacksaw to saw off a piece of pipe;

4) furniture stapler;

5) thick cardboard for the bottom;

6) colored cardboard for the inner walls of the cup;

7) the glue you like best and seems secure enough. I have Moment-Crystal.

8) a couple of pieces of denim for the bottom.

I have an uneven edge of the pipe, I had to cut it off. I glued masking tape so that the ends were evenly connected. I measured 10 cm from it - this is the depth of our glass. I used a hacksaw (and male power) to saw off the marked piece. Tape does not need to be removed.

Now let's sort our seams by length: short (13-15 cm each) for verticals (I have 16 pieces), long ones for horizontals (about 43-45 centimeters each). One seam from the trouser leg is enough for 2 horizontal stripes.

Now, with a furniture stapler, we pin short segments to one of the ends of the pipe at a distance of approximately 1 cm from each other.

It turned out such an octopus:

Then we begin to weave the side of the cup from long segments, hiding the ends under the vertical stripes. When weaving, we stretch the horizontal stripes slightly, so the glass will be smoother. We cut off the excess end-to-end and pin it with a stapler, it is better not to press it hard so that the staples do not come out from the inside. If they nevertheless come out or do not fit snugly on the outside, you can correct it with a hammer.

The photo shows the attachment points with brackets. They will not be visible, they will be closed with vertical stripes.

Vertical stripes when weaving are also slightly stretched.

When we finish weaving (I got 9 rows), we bend the protruding ends of the vertical strips, and pin them to the ends of the pipe, as at the very beginning.

I cut off the excess after pinning, but it’s more convenient to do it before it, it will turn out neater. This is what we already have:

We make a bottom. We cut out 2 circles from cardboard: a large one - along the outer radius of the jar, a smaller one - along the inner one. We cut out circles from denim shreds along them, leaving an allowance for the hem.

We glue cardboard circles to jeans (I glued them on PVA), cut along the edge and bend the allowances, also gluing them.

Now we connect with the help of the Crystal a large circle with one end of the resulting cup, and glue the small one from the inside.

We close the upper cut with another strip, gluing it with glue.

We cut out a rectangle, 10 cm wide, equal to the inner circumference of the pipe, from colored cardboard (I took black embossed this time), and glue it onto the inner walls of the cup.

The stationery holder is a simple but very important accessory. Thanks to her, there will be order on the desktop, and you can easily find the right tool. Making it with your own hands is quite easy. Here are just some of the options.

To maintain order on your home desktop, you can make coasters for pencils, pens, scissors and other office supplies.

A pencil holder will allow you to always keep writing objects at hand, and not look for them in the corners of the bottomless desk drawers.

Do-it-yourself stand for pencils and pens from newspaper tubes

This technology appeared relatively recently, but has already gained popularity. Necessary tools and materials:

  • newspapers;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • cardboard;
  • varnish or paint (optional).

There are different ways to work with newspaper tubes.

The first, the most elementary, is as follows: a sheet of a newspaper or magazine is wound diagonally onto a knitting needle. The edge is smeared with glue and pressed to fix. If such tubes are made from sheets of a glossy magazine, then you can not paint them later - you get a fun color.

You can involve children in the manufacture of a pencil box, who will bring something new and interesting to its design.

Then the resulting “semi-finished product” is glued onto the base (cardboard glass, juice box) and, if desired, covered with paint or varnish.

A more interesting option, thanks to which sculptures are created from newspaper tubes, is weaving.

The process is very similar to wicker weaving.

The base of the pencil holder can be made of cardboard, or you can weave it like the bottom of a basket. Of course, it will take time to make an interesting model. A simple glass can be done even by a beginner.

The finished stand is coated with PVC glue. And then, if desired, paint.

The technology is very economical.

Allows you to get rid of deposits of old newspapers and create an interesting thing with your own hands.

paper pencil

As a basis, bushings from paper towels or toilet paper are used. Having measured the diameter of the sleeve and its height, we cut colored paper for decoration.

We decorate the bushings with paper.

Then we glue the parts in random order and attach them to the base. For the base, it is better to take a sheet of thick cardboard.

If desired, the pencil holder is decorated with multi-colored paper flowers.

Stand for pencils and pens from the telephone directory

Required:

  • directory;
  • sharp scissors;
  • glue;
  • paints;
  • paper towel roll.

The reference book needs to be cut, wrap the sleeve with pages and fix the form with a paper holder.

We divide the flexible directory into five identical parts.

Do this for all pages. Then glue to keep the shape.

Make a bottom (from cardboard or plastic) in the shape of the resulting flower and glue it. If desired, the stand can be painted.

If the directory is cut into fragments of different heights, a very spectacular little thing is obtained.

DIY gold pencil holder

To create such a masterpiece you will need:

  • metal jars or cases of various sizes (plastic containers or pipe cuts are also suitable);
  • glue;
  • base (board or metal plate).
  • golden paint.

Although we are not talking about real gold, this model looks very stylish.

The containers are placed on the basis in random order, glued, and then the whole structure is covered with "golden" paint.

It will decorate any desktop and contain all the necessary tools.

Can holder for pencils and pens

It turns out that a very original thing can be built from a tin can, a piece of cloth and glue. The technology is simple.

If desired, add different decorative elements.

To begin with, we take measurements from the bank. We are interested in circumference and height.

Then we sew a fabric cover. We decorate it with braid.

We place the jar inside the cover, and fill the edges of the fabric inside and fix it with glue.

And here is what we get as a result.

As they say: simple and tasteful.

Do-it-yourself tumbler stand for pencils

A tumbler pencil is made from a drink can. To do this, using sandpaper, paint is removed from the can. Then lead is melted (about 80 g) and poured into the bottom of the jar from the outside. When the metal hardens, it is carefully removed and glued to the bottom with the convex side out. The jar is then coated with paint and used for pencils.

Lead "stand" will not allow the pencil case to fall.

Stand for pencils and pens made of thread

Do-it-yourself pen stand from a can, threads, decorative elements and fantasy. An ordinary jar is covered with a layer of glue and wrapped with threads (either one color or multi-colored).

If you want something unusual, you can use different accessories purchased at a needlework store.

Then the product is decorated with buttons. This is the most budget option, as there are extra buttons in every home.

Another option. To work, you will need multi-colored threads, it is better if they are not very thin. As well as ice cream sticks and a cardboard or plastic glass.

When the last row is completed, fix the tip of the thread with glue.

We cut the glass so that the height from the bottom is 3–5 cm. Then we glue the sticks to it around the entire circumference, and pass multi-colored threads around the sticks.

Thanks to the bright colors of the threads, the pencil case turns out to be very “cheerful”.

Cork wood discs

Several wooden discs are glued together, holes are drilled in them. Perhaps the creation of this model will require minimal effort. And it looks very stylish.

If desired, the stand can be made from several pieces of thick plywood.

Hi-tech stand

Old floppy disks (5 pieces) are interconnected using plastic fasteners in the form of a cube.

Unusual design solution.

Cardboard tube

Bushes from paper towels and toilet paper are wrapped in paper of different colors or painted, and placed inside the box in random order.

For greater stability, the bottom of the box is coated with glue.

Burlap case

The technology is similar to creating a thread stand. Only the jar is decorated with a strip of burlap and decorative braid.

Glue a piece of burlap on a tin can, glue flowers formed from light linen fabric around the perimeter of the neck.

Bar stand

It is easy to make a stand for pens from a wooden block: you need to drill holes of the right size and in the right quantity in the workpiece.

We saw off a small part from a dry tree with a saw, then with a drill in the upper part of the stump we create many holes, into which we install pencils.

Pencil from sewer pipes

The remains of pipes of different diameters are cut obliquely to the desired size. Do this with a sharp knife so that there are no notches left. If necessary, the sections can be carefully processed with fine sandpaper.

We cut sewer pipes of different diameters into small segments with a jigsaw or hand saw.

The parts are glued together and the bottom is glued.

The finished stand can be painted with paint or coated with a transparent gloss varnish.

We paste each of the segments in a row on a short thin board.

The most ordinary workplace can be made unique with the help of a DIY stationery stand. It will be not only creative, but also a very convenient little thing.

50 photos of unusual pencil holders:

A pencil is one of the useful attributes on the desktop, which helps us keep our workplace in order and quickly find writing utensils. Quartblog has prepared for you some simple ideas on how to make pencil boxes with your own hands from what is usually available in the house. In addition, these crafts can be made with the child. Let the original pencil holders become an additional decorative element in your interior!

From jars

This is the most popular way to make pencil cases. Jars can be any: glass, plastic, tin. They can be pasted over with multi-colored paper, fabric, braid, ribbon, lace, painted with acrylics - it all depends on your imagination!

From cardboard and paper

Another easy way to make a pencil holder is cardboard or colored paper. You can use cardboard toilet paper rolls, shoe wrappers, old magazines or newspapers.

From plastic bottles

Use plastic bottles for shampoo, cream and other cosmetics. For example, funny monsters can be cut out of multi-colored bottles.

From natural materials

More precisely, from logs and twigs. Here you will need a man's help to cut out a suitable stump and drill holes in it for pencils. You can also take several branches of the same height and tie them with twine around the base.

Clay

Clay is a fertile material for creating pencil holders. You can either take self-hardeningpolymer clay and wrap it around some kind of base, or come up with an original design and mold it from sculptural clay or plasticine, and then paint it with paints.

From pencils

From papier-mâché

The papier-mache technique allows you to create three-dimensional figures from shredded paper mixed with glue: use newsprint, and then color the pencil box with paints.

Crochet or knit

If you know how to knit, and even try to introduce a child to knitting, then you can easily tie a warm multi-colored cover onto a base jar.

Sew from fleece or fabric

Soft and cozy pencil cases can also be made from fleece and fabric. Attach eyes, nose and ears to such coasters - you will get funny pencil animals for the children's room.

Decorate with twine, thread

Decorate with beads, buttons

If you like small and painstaking work, you can glue the pencil holder with small beads, pebbles, buttons.

A handmade wooden pencil holder is not only a useful item, but also an interesting decorative design element. How and from what to do, we will tell in this article.

When making a stand for writing instruments, it is advisable not to use hazel or birch, since such material is quite hard and fragile, but to give preference to cherry, mountain ash, cedar and linden.

Separate recesses for each pencil are effective when searching as the pencils do not mix.

Necessary tools and materials

To make your own pencil holder, you need:

  • chisel;
  • drill with a drill 8 mm;
  • sandpaper;
  • varnish to cover the product.
It is easy to make a pencil holder from a wooden cube from a pallet, you just need to cut a recess and decorate

To decorate the product, you can use wood paints, decoupage napkins, canvas threads or other decorations.

Step-by-step instruction

The first thing to do is to find the right material. It can be a cube from a wooden pallet or a large tree branch. Then:

  1. With the help of a chisel, the product is given a cylindrical or other, for example, square shape.
  2. Grind the surface with sandpaper.
  3. The required number of holes are drilled in the upper part. In this case, it is advisable not to make holes through, since pencil leads and paste from pens will stain the surface of the table. Or you can make one recess with a Forstner drill, then the shape of the product will resemble a glass.

Cut a cylinder from a large branch, process it with a chisel and sandpaper, drill and decorate for every taste - a finished pencil box
  • Make decoupage - apply a primer to the tree, dry it, glue a napkin with the image you like with PVA glue, and then varnish the product.
  • Coloring the pencil case in a bright color is especially popular with children.
  • Lubricate the surface of the pencil holder with glue and wrap tightly with canvas threads, attach a small bow on top.

Wooden "glass" wrapped with canvas thread is pleasant to the touch and can serve as an antidepressant

A do-it-yourself pencil holder will not only decorate the interior, but also allow you to keep your writing instruments in order. And the special charm of such a stand is that it is very simple to make it, the main thing is to have the desire and time to do the work.

The order on the desktop usually does not linger for a long time either in children or in adults. Proper organization of space and workplace will help adults organize the workflow more efficiently and teach children to be organized and organized. A glass for pens and pencils will help you organize your writing materials.

How to store writing instruments

In order for the desk to be in order, it is necessary to purchase or make a glass holder for pens, pencils, scissors and other stationery items. Such a stand allows you to keep the necessary office nearby, and not look in drawers, on shelves. A do-it-yourself glass for pens and pencils will appeal to children and motivate them to keep the work area in order. There are many different ideas on how to make such a stand yourself. Parents can only decide on the material and model and bring it to life with the child. By the way, not everyone knows the name of the glass for pencils and pens. Many people call it that - just a "glass", but the name "pencil case" or "desk organizer for office" would be more appropriate.

How to DIY

Making a glass for pens and pencils with your own hands is easy. For manufacturing, you can use the most diverse and unexpected decor ideas and materials. Most of these crafts do not take much time and are not financially expensive, because it is interesting to decorate a glass with materials that are almost always available in many homes. A pencil can be made from plastic tubes (plumbing), tin cans, toilet paper sleeves, wood, glass jars, flower pots. Of course, the appearance of a tin can or a paper sleeve is not very pretty, the raw materials are only blanks and need to be decorated.

What you need

To create a glass organizer you will need:

  • raw materials (cans, bushings, material chosen for decoration);
  • transparent glue;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun;
  • threads, needles;
  • ruler.

Some materials may also require additional tools.

Wooden pencil case

A glass for pens and pencils can be made from natural wood. To do this, you will need a wooden frame of a small height, in which you should remove the inner wood (with a chisel), giving it the appearance of a glass. The preparation is interesting and original. It does not need extra decor, as the tree itself is an interesting natural finishing material. You can also use the bark of a tree by pasting it over a tin or glass jar. Such a pencil holder will also look very unusual and natural.

Tin can decoration

You can make a glass for pens and pencils yourself using cans from coffee drinks and conservation. Such material is rigid, durable, and the decor falls on it easily and holds well.

  • Knitted case - you can make a case from threads using the simplest knitting pattern, which will perfectly decorate a brutal tin can. For ease of use, so that the bundle does not fidget, it can be glued to the jar.
  • Rope (twine) is another interesting way to decorate a glass for writing instruments. To do this, we wind the rope or twine on a jar pre-lubricated with transparent glue (you can use a glue gun). In this case, the threads should be tightly joined so that they adjoin each other without gaps. To give a complete look, you can decorate the product with a bow.

  • Fabric - a rectangle should be cut out of dense fabric, clasping the jar in diameter. Then sew the inside and put on a jar. If desired, the decor can be diversified by gluing beads, pebbles, bows. These vintage-style pencil cases look very impressive, covered with fabric in combination with lace and satin ribbon.
  • Burlap - a rough material in combination with a strip of linen or chintz fabric and lace will make a tin can a nice table and room decoration. In this case, it is better to glue the burlap to the bank. And then decorate.
  • Wallpaper, self-adhesive, scrapbook paper - to give the appearance of a tin can, you can use any pieces of wallpaper, self-adhesive film and scrapbooking paper. If the surface of the jar is corrugated, the pattern may crumple somewhat, so it is better to choose smooth tin cans to make a glass for pencils and pens by yourself.

Other unusual options

Also interesting ideas are:

  1. Bushings - do not rush to throw out the tunnels from under the paper towels and toilet paper. They are perfect for storing pencils and pens on your desk. Decoration options can be different: they can be painted, painted or pasted over with corrugated paper.
  2. PVC tubes - a whole organizer can be made from plumbing tubes by gluing several pre-cut bushings onto the board. Before that, they can be decorated with a cloth, beautiful pebbles or spray-painted.
  3. From pencils - an interesting idea is to decorate a jar or sleeve with colored pencils. They should all be equal to the height of the jar. Each pencil should be glued vertically to the jar, pressing firmly against the previous one. You can tie a ribbon around.

As you can see, everyone can make a glass for pens and pencils if they wish, and ideas can be very diverse. A DIY cup for office supplies will save you money and be a cute little item to help you keep organized.
