Why is it useful to read fairy tales?
The various plots of the fairy tale help the child understand that the world around him can be contradictory and quite complex. Listening to the hero's adventures, children virtually encounter injustice, hypocrisy and pain. But this is how the baby learns to value love, honesty, friendship and beauty. Always having a happy ending, fairy tales help the child to be optimistic and resist various kinds of life's troubles.
The entertainment component of fairy tales should not be underestimated. Listening to fascinating stories has many advantages, for example, compared to watching cartoons - there is no threat to the baby's vision. Moreover, by listening to children's fairy tales performed by parents, the baby learns many new words and learns to correctly articulate sounds. The importance of this is difficult to overestimate, because scientists have long proven that nothing affects the future comprehensive development of a child more than early speech development.
What kinds of fairy tales are there for children?
Fairy tales There are different ones: magical – exciting children’s imagination with a riot of imagination; everyday - telling about simple everyday life, in which magic is also possible; about animals - where the leading characters are not people, but various animals so beloved by children. Most children have trouble falling asleep. Ordinary fairy tales are not very suitable for lulling - an interesting plot does not lull the baby to sleep, but, on the contrary, distracts and begins to wonder what’s next.
These fairy tales were written by child psychologists in such a cunning way to put the baby to sleep:
- stories with a cyclical plot structure
- fairy tales that contain soothing folk songs;
- detailed descriptions (for example, of a forest clearing or the contents of a grandmother’s basket), they perfectly lull you to sleep;
- soothing words: “mother’s warm barrel”, “the sun is slowly, slowly sinking”, “mother took him by the paw and sang a lullaby to him in a gentle voice.”
There are many little tricks that help your baby calm down and fall asleep.
What’s interesting is that the tales here are different in writing style and plot structure. This is good; Children don’t get tired of reading in an interesting way; you can choose your favorite fairy tale and always read something from this book before bed.
The book contains 15 fairy tales on 62 pages.
The stories are not very long, mostly 2-3 pages.
The longest tale is the last one, "Uncle Tiktakl", 8 pages.
The book itself is very good and convenient - it is small, about 24x17 cm, the sheets are thick, tinted in different colors, high-quality offset printing.
The font is medium, designed for adults to read. But older children read the book themselves.
One daisy, two daisies, three daisies...
He counts and yawns, yawns and closes his eyes. He closes his eyes and stumbles.
Plop! Fell.
“Don’t count the daisies, or you’ll fall asleep,” the butterfly advised him.
Okay, thank you,” Splyuh nodded.
And he began to look for mushrooms. Searches and counts:
One mushroom, two mushroom, three mushroom...
He counts and yawns, yawns and closes his eyes. He closes his eyes and stumbles.
Plop! Fell.
“Don’t count the mushrooms, or you’ll fall asleep,” the snail advised him.
Okay, thank you,” Splyuh nodded.
And he began to hum a cheerful song.
Tra-la-la, tra-la-la! One la-la, two la-la, three la-la...
He sings and yawns, yawns and closes his eyes. He closes his eyes and stumbles.
Plop! Fell.
“Go home to sleep,” the hedgehog giggled. - It’s already evening anyway.
Hooray! - Splyukh was delighted.
He grabbed a basket of mushrooms and ran home. Sleep. Because more than anything else, Sleepy Splobbers love to sleep!
"Bunny at sea" (A. Berdnikova):
The bunny loves it very much when mom and dad have a vacation. If Bunny was asked to talk about his vacation, he would do it like this.
Most of all on vacation, Bunny loved to go to the beach. Warm sand pleasantly caresses your heels, they become just as warm and a little rough. It’s also great to hold the sand in your paw and then quietly begin to straighten your toes. The sand begins to pour out, like in an hourglass. They stand in the bathroom and measure the time for brushing their teeth. The sand falls and lightly tickles your palm. The grains of sand flow like a small stream. You can put sand in both paws and then there will be two streams. If you raise your paws higher, the stream will be longer. But mom doesn't allow it. She is worried that sand will get into Bunny's eyes.
If the sand is wet, then you can build houses from it, bake Easter cakes, and dig tunnels in it. It’s especially great when dad helps build. He knows how to build sand bridges. It’s okay, Bunny will learn soon too.
But the most wonderful thing on the beach is, of course, the sea. Gentle, warm, affectionate. The bunny loves to enter the sea like this: at first only her toes are in the water, one more small step into the sea, and now the water is gently stroking her heels. One more step, the water rises a little higher. The waves are already gently rolling over your knees: sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh.
The wave seems to want to tell Bunny something. The water is already reaching her panties: sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh. Here the wave rises to the tummy, affectionately, like a mother, stroking the back: sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh; palms: sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh; elbows: sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh.
A wave rolls in and reverently touches your shoulders: sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh. Here is Bunny all in warm water, only his eyes, ears and nose are not wrapped in a sea blanket. Now the Bunny is swaying along with the wave: sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh. He himself, like a little fish, sways on the wave: sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh, sh-sh-sh...

Audio bedtime stories: how to choose?
Audio bedtime stories are an excellent solution for modern parents. Unfortunately, you don’t always have the energy to read fairy tales to your child before bed, but this is very important. Children's audio stories (in this case, bedtime audio stories) are our salvation in such moments. An excellent option is to listen to the work (this can be done on the way to or from work), and then tell it to the child in your own words. Believe me, it will be much more interesting for him, and he will remember such moments for the rest of his life.
Please note that not every book is suitable for bedtime reading. The best option would be one whose duration is 5-20 minutes. However, you can still download children's audio fairy tales, and then choose which one to listen to according to your mood. Please do not forget that audio fairy tales for children are provided for personal viewing and not distribution.
Go to sleep. Adults can encourage babies to go to bed on their own. It’s good to lie down and listen to your mother tell interesting short bedtime stories. You can invent them yourself - there are so many objects around, and each of them can temporarily become a participant in a magical action. Ideas are just floating in the air. You can invent fantastic heroes or endow forest animals and pets with magical powers.
Fish
If you have an aquarium, let its inhabitants provide inspiration for a new story. Short bedtime stories can be about fish.
Tell your child that when everyone falls asleep, the lights come on in the aquarium - these are the inhabitants of the underwater kingdom having a fun dance.
You can start the story with the fact that there lived in an aquarium a small catfish (or other fish that is available in a home aquarium). The catfish loved to sing, but the owners of the aquarium did not hear him. The fish diligently opened its mouth to extract beautiful sounds and was very upset that no one praised it for this.
The owners saw that their catfish was sad and thought it was because of loneliness. They bought him a girlfriend and dropped her off when the catfish was sleeping. After he woke up, he started singing as always and suddenly heard someone praising him. He was surprised and saw another fish. Catfish was glad that now they could hear him, he began to try even harder.
The second individual was female and over time the catfish created a strong family and had many children. And now, when people fall asleep, the fish begin to sing in their own language and dance merrily. From their joy, the aquarium is filled with light that flows in different directions.
Short bedtime stories can be dedicated not only to fish, but also to forest animals.
Hare with magic ears
When your baby goes to bed, surprise him. Ask if he knows that the magic hare's ears come off. The child will certainly be interested in the beginning of the story. Tell him if he wants to hear more, let him lie down in his crib. After this you can continue. Short stories told to children at night will help them fall asleep faster and have good dreams.
So, there lived in the forest a bunny with magic ears. He woke up early, went for a walk and sang his funny song. That morning the animal, as always, fastened its ears and went for a walk. On the way, he met a hedgehog, they talked and the hare told him about his magic ears, which can hear what will happen the next day. The friends did not know that their conversation was heard by the evil wizard Mukhomor Mukhorovich. He was the lord of the three foxes and called them. The foxes appeared. Mukhomor Mukhorovich revealed the secret to them, telling them about the wonderful ears of a hare. The wizard ordered the foxes to bring him ears.
They asked the forest dwellers where they could find the hare. But no one answered them, since everyone loved the kind animal, but not the predators. But the foxes managed to deceive the squirrel. They said it was the hare's birthday and they were bringing him a gift. The trusting little squirrel showed the foxes the way.
What happened next
They grabbed the hare and took him to the fly agaric. But he did not reward them, but turned the chanterelles into mushrooms. He grabbed the hare by the ears, but he broke free and ran away. And the ears remained with Mukhomor Mukhorovich.
Meanwhile, the little squirrel told the animals that it was the hare’s birthday. Everyone went to him with gifts, but found him crying bitterly. Kosoy told the animals what happened and how he lost his ears.
The animals found a wise old raven and asked him how to defeat Fly Agaric Mukhorovich. He replied that he needed to say 3 times: “Be healthy.” They said these words in unison, and the evil wizard immediately turned into a simple fly agaric mushroom. The animals brought the bunny his ears, and everyone began to sing and have fun.
Such short bedtime stories will allow the child to fall asleep in a good mood, and the next evening he will also quickly go to bed to hear another interesting story.
How the sun and the moon argued
One day, towards evening, the moon and the sun met in the sky. The luminary of the day and says to the luminary of the night: “Still, people love me more. In winter they ask me to appear, then everyone’s mood improves. In spring they wait for me with impatience, they want me to melt the snow faster, bring warmth closer. In summer I give people get a golden tan, I warm up the seas, rivers, and lakes that people love to swim in. I give warmth to plants, thanks to which vegetables, fruits, and berries ripen faster. In the fall, people love to bask in my farewell hot rays and ask me to appear more often above the horizon."
The moon listened to the sun for a long time and replied that she had nothing to say to this, and it would be better for her to hide behind the clouds, since people did not need her. That's what the moon did. Meanwhile, the man was returning to his village. At first he walked joyfully along the road, but when the moon hid behind the clouds and it became dark, he lost his way.
Then he began to ask the moon to appear at least for a while. She looked out and the man found his way home. Then the moon realized that people also needed it, and therefore tried not to hide behind the clouds, but to illuminate the way for night travelers.
White bull and the like
If you want to tell your child very short bedtime stories, jokes will help you out. You can tell about your grandfather and woman who ate milk porridge. Then talk about how the old man got angry with his wife and slapped her on the stomach (lightly). And then the adults know what happened.
When telling about the white bull, you simply repeat the words after the child, first saying the phrase: “Do you want to listen to a fairy tale about the white bull”? You can diversify the story by calling it gray or even black.
Funny bedtime stories
Short funny stories will amuse both adults and children. If you need a fairy tale for an adult, tell us that there once lived a prince. One day he came to the princess and asked if she would marry him. She answered: “No.” That’s why the prince lived happily ever after - he did what he wanted, went wherever he wanted, no one forbade him to do anything, etc. Of course, after such a story all that’s left to do is laugh.
The kids themselves can compose something for the night. So, one boy came up with a story about a merchant who had everything. One day he bought a mirror box. When he opened it at home, everything was gone - both his house and his wealth. Amuse your child with similar short stories that teach not to want more than a person needs and to be happy with what he has.
A fairy tale for children who can't sleep
- Grandma, a fairy tale!
Two large cunning eyes look out from under the blanket. Grandmother sits down in a chair nearby and habitually picks up her knitting.
- Well, listen. Just an agreement: until I finish telling you, don’t sleep!
There is resentment in the eyes - who is going to sleep?
The thread winds along the knitting needles, loop after loop, word after word...
... A hedgehog is running along a forest path, and towards him is a Fairy Tale. The hedgehog got scared, curled up into a prickly ball and lies there, waiting for what will happen next.
The fairy tale also waited a little, and she became bored. They don't like fairy tales if there is no one to listen to them.
“Hedgehog, hedgehog,” says the Fairy Tale, “don’t be afraid, I’m not scary.” I’m talking about apples in general.
The hedgehog immediately heard about apples. He poked his nose out from under the thorns and one eye.
- Which apples are you talking about - green or red?
-Which ones do you like best?
- I am red, with a green side. Or not, green with red... Or..., - Then the hedgehog thought, he even lowered his spines and stood on all four paws. - No, I actually like all apples more. Especially sweet ones.
- Well, then I’m talking about all the sweet apples. How they grow on a tree and fall down on their own. To make it easier for hedgehogs to collect them. And also about how dad and mom hedgehogs carry apples into their burrows. And about how warm their hole is, under a pile of autumn leaves...
Here the Fairy Tale fell silent and looked at the hedgehog. And he almost doesn’t listen anymore. He closed his eyes and was dreaming. I even dropped a mushroom that I was dragging home.
And just then a hare gallops past, carrying a carrot that he dug up in a neighboring garden. Out of breath, he barely galloped away from the summer residents. Greedy! Carrots were spared for one hare! I almost ran into a hedgehog right away. He's dreaming in the middle of the path - he doesn't see anything.
“Well, okay,” says the hare, “What happened to the hedgehog?”
- He listens to me.
- And who are you?
- I am a fairy tale about carrots, how they grow on their own in the middle of a clearing, and hares can carry them as much as they want. And there are no summer residents there - only hares and carrots. And the carrots are sweet... And a lot of them, carry them around if you don't want to...
The hare sat down next to the hedgehog, closed his eyes, folded his paws, one ear up, the other down. He dropped the carrot on the grass. Dreams...
The fairy tale became boring again. He looks at the redhead running past. A fox, that is. He doesn’t even run, but seems to be strolling. But it doesn't come close.
And the Tale here seems to be itself:
- ...And there were no hunters at all in that forest, but there were a lot of hares and hedgehogs who were not at all afraid of foxes. Therefore, it was easy to catch them. And how delicious they were...
The fox came closer, sat on its fluffy tail, and licked its lips. And with his eyes he looks at a hare with a hedgehog - fairy tale or not - but they look very appetizing. She moved closer to them, then a little more. She stretched out her paw, and like a hare - snatch! But that was not the case. She grabbed something, and it was a carrot. Once again - DAC! And this is a dry mushroom. Fox on the Fairy Tale - jump. And there was no trace of her - just a cloud of fog and wet grass. And on the grass there are tracks of a hare and a hedgehog. But you won’t be able to catch up with where it is.
The fox snorted offendedly, lay down under a bush and fell asleep.
And the Fairy Tale is right there again, sitting on a branch, singing:
- Bye, bye, bye - bye, go to sleep Alisa, go to sleep...
... The knitting needles fell out of grandma’s hands and clinked. Grandma shuddered and opened her eyes.
The baby was snoring in the crib next to the chair. She's been sniffling for a long time, apparently. Nearby, on the pillow, a hedgehog and a hare were sleeping, and a red muzzle was peeking out from under the pillow. They all dreamed of something very good.
