Do-it-yourself medieval castle from cardboard. How to make a castle out of paper or cardboard

I already wrote that if you treat unnecessary cardboard packages as an unusual constructor, then you can make a lot of interesting things. Today I propose to make a castle with turrets from toothpaste boxes. Children will be happy to take part in its construction.

Materials and tools for the master class "Paper castle"

four boxes of toothpaste, white album sheets, orange and blue cardboard, double-sided tape, regular tape, ruler, scissors, a pencil.

Instructions:

1. Take four identical toothpaste boxes. Let's measure the length of the box and the width of each face. The length of the box turned out to be 19 cm, and the width of the faces was 3.5 and 4.5 cm.

2. Now let's solve a simple addition example. Add up the width of all the faces at one end of the box and add another centimeter. I got 3.5 + 4.5 + 3.5 + 4.5 + 1 = 17 cm.

Now you need to cut out four rectangles measuring 17 x 19 cm from white landscape sheets (19 cm is the height of the box).

3. Take one box and glue it with one rectangle. The fastest way to do this is with double-sided tape, but you can also glue it with PVA glue. I additionally glued the edges of the rectangle at the junction with a strip of ordinary narrow adhesive tape - for reliability.

4. Paste the rest of the boxes in the same way.

The bases for the turrets are ready.

5. Cut out two circles with a diameter of 16 cm from orange cardboard. Cut each circle in half. From these semicircles we will make roofs for the turrets.

6. Roll each semicircle into a cone and glue it with tape strips. Additionally, you can fix the edges with a stapler.

7. Glue small pieces of tape to the corners of the box. It is better to take foamed double-sided tape - it is stronger.

8. Remove the protective layer from the adhesive tape and glue the roof-cone on top.

9. We will also glue the roofs to the rest of the boxes.

10. Cut out a rectangle measuring 19 x 11 cm from landscape sheets. We will make a wall for our castle from it. Mark and cut out the upper side of this rectangle as shown in the photo. We will get a wall with battlements. In the same way, cut out three more walls.

11. Cut out a gate 7 cm wide and 9 cm high from orange cardboard.

12. Cut the gate in half.

13. Attach the gate to one wall of the castle and circle it with a simple pencil.

14. Cut the wall along the pencil line so that the gate can open.

15. Glue orange cardboard parts to the gate.

16. Glue the wall with the gate to the two turrets using double-sided tape or PVA glue.

Which ones did I tell you about recently? So, it all started with them. Because princesses, you know what they are? They don't want to live in an ordinary dollhouse! Give them a castle! And certainly from cardboard! Can you imagine? It was in approximately these terms that my daughter turned to me with a request for an urgent provision of a separate living quarters for the princesses.

I started to rack my brains, like what. As usual, I went through the Internet on the topic of cardboard castles and palaces made of cardboard, looked at some interesting ideas, took out cardboard (fortunately, we always have a lot of this stuff, since we love dry breakfasts very much), took out toilet paper rolls (oh, what do we have in there is no pantry!), scissors, a pencil, a ruler, sat down in front of this whole pile and ... And nothing ... no ideas. At all. Complete stupor. I attached parts this way and that, it doesn’t work like a stone palace and that’s it ... In short, on the first evening of working on the project, the first glimpses of my creative consciousness began to appear after about an hour of almost meditative contemplation of a pile of garbage. Here is what happened as a result of this meditation.

But in the morning, there was a clear understanding in my head that the castle consists of two main parts: a) from the palace, b) from the fortress. That is, a castle is a palace, inside a fortress.

And now the creative consciousness is already awakened, the process is launched and away we go!

FORTRESS:

It was decided to make the base of the fortress out of two boxes, laying the boxes on top of each other with a shift.On the sides, it was decided to attach walls - two more boxes.

The walls of the fortress were pasted over with strips of cardboard with denticles, which turned out to be real fortress walls, on which sentinels can walk.

The walls were glued to the base with PVA glue.

From above they pressed down with a load to stick better.

But, as the chief architect, the child asked, how will the princesses climb these walls? I had to make steps.

Here you can see where they are glued.

The round towers of the fortress are made of three rolls of toilet paper, connected with adhesive tape. The towers themselves are also attached to the walls of the fortress with adhesive tape.

The central gate, that is, the entrance to the castle, was made of cardboard, bent with the letter L. The lower part was glued to the base of the fortress with double-sided tape, the upper part was stapled to the towers in two places.

And then we unexpectedly came in handy with a part of the chain that remained after shortening the handle on my daughter's handbag. Thank you dad for saving it just in case!

The chain is attached to the wall like this: it is inserted into through holes, ordinary paper clips are attached to the ends. The clips prevent the ends of the chain from slipping out and serve to facilitate the closing of the gate. Here is an interactive element for you!

The chain is attached to the door on the wire as if you were sewing on a button.

I cut out the loopholes of the fortress from some picture found on the Internet, reduced it to the required size, duplicated it and printed it out. The picture came in black and white, so I had to color it by hand. But that's just more interesting, right?

The final touch is brickwork. I drew it with wax crayon over a painted and well-dried wall.

CASTLE:

The palace was made from a box from a magnetic alphabet and cardboard, twisted into tubes and stapled on both sides. Moreover, the extreme turrets turned out to be composite. Small cylinders are not attached to anything, they can be removed. Many small incisions were made on the bottom of the cylinder of the central tower, bent outward and glued on double-sided tape.

The base on which the towers of the palace are installed is a box that has a part with a hole to make it easier to hang the goods in the store. It is not fixed to the base by anything, it is held solely by this hanging part inserted into the slot made in the cereal box. But holding on tight. Round side towers are attached to the box with double-sided tape.

The palace must have a balcony, and for this we attached a cardboard folded with the letter C to the wall of the building with double-sided tape. Attached to the base with double sided tape.

From above, they covered this case with an arch-shaped cardboard, inserted this cardboard into the slot and glued it on the back side inside the box with a glue stick.

According to an idea spied on the Internet, such railings were originally planned on this balcony.

As a result, it turned out like this:

The halves of the toothpicks are attached to the cardboard with hot glue, the beads are put on top and are not fixed by anything. On top of the toothpicks, a piece of braid is glued to the hot glue, which has remained since the time of manufacture.

To the balcony of the palace, at the request of the chief architect, ladders were also attached.

In addition, our architect could not figure out how the princesses could get to the large balcony from the entrance to the fortress? Indeed, there was no direct route, but it was not a princess thing to jump through the air, we had to cut a through passage from the courtyard to the balcony.

The roofs of the palace towers were made of colored cardboard. Color scheme - daughter's. Empirically, that is, through trial and error, we got a pattern for cones from a newspaper, it turned out that half the circle from a reel of adhesive tape fit well in size. They cut out semicircles, rolled them into a cone and fixed them with a stapler.

Each princess castle has spiers with flags fluttering in the wind. Therefore, flags were cut out of the same colored cardboard, glued together and put on skewers for barbecue. Then these skewers were attached to the roofs with hot glue.

Windows, as in the case of the fortress, were found on the Internet. We were more lucky with these windows - we managed to find colored ones that matched the color scheme.

One of the integral parts of castles and fortresses is a wooden lattice door. She, or rather them, because we have two of them, we made from ice cream sticks, fastened together with PVA glue.

I love ice cream sticks! :) We even made them out of them. :)

Since we made the castle in the evenings, due to good weather, the project was delayed. But you know princesses! They are so impatient! Therefore, we started painting the castle when it was not yet finished.

Cardboard is a universal subject for creativity and needlework. It can be used in the embodiment of their ideas not only by adults, but also by children. This article will show you how to make a cardboard castle with your own hands.

After looking at the photos of the finished models, it may seem that it is very difficult to make them, but this is only the first impression. In fact, one has only to get acquainted with the basic rules of construction and work with cardboard, and it will be possible to create real masterpieces. For this kind of activity, you should be patient, because a large castle is not built in one day, but at least several days. This activity can be shared with children and have a great time with them building the walls of their castle. We have prepared a step-by-step master class, which will be presented below.

Delightful castles are made in stages: first, suitable models that you like are found on the Internet. After that, prepare the drawings yourself. You should also prepare cardboard boxes of different sizes, which will be the material for creating the castle.

To clearly know where to start and how to move forward, it is best to familiarize yourself with a certain sequence of work. The first step after you have decided which castle you will build is to draw the outlines on cardboard, it is most convenient to do this with a pencil, since if some details change, you can erase unnecessary lines.

Next, using a clerical knife, clearly cut out all the elements of the castle along the lines: the drawn towers, arches, walls, and so on. To connect the parts together, both adhesive tape and glue are suitable. If you decide to use adhesive tape, then stock up on both narrow and wide ones, they will definitely come in handy. Glue is suitable for PVA, it perfectly glues cardboard and paper surfaces. When the castle is glued together, its decoration begins - pasting with colored paper, painting with paints, adding small details.

It is very convenient to use such a manufacturing scheme, adhering to its stages, building a castle will not be a problem.

A simple lesson

Having tuned in to the structure of the castle, be patient, draw on the sheet how it should look, draw all the details, even better if the drawing is in color. Then, having created your drawing, prepare the materials and start building.

What materials should be prepared:

  1. Millimeter paper, cardboard sheets of different sizes or boxes;
  2. Tools: scissors and a sharp clerical knife, compasses;
  3. Glue or tape, and preferably both the first and second;
  4. You will definitely need a simple pencil and ruler;
  5. Everything for decoration: paints, brushes, colored paper, beads, sequins and so on.

An example of a decorated castle can be seen in the photo:

Now let's start the step-by-step master class:

  1. The first stage, as mentioned above, involves drawing up a drawing, for this we will use graph paper.

  1. Now we are making a template, or rather templates, because for each element it needs a separate one. Small and large parts, no matter how many times they are used, are cut out once. Consider the seam allowance, that is, the place where the parts are fastened together.

  1. When the templates are ready, we place them on cardboard sheets, circle them with a simple pencil and cut them out along the contour. In order not to get confused in the finished elements, number them, it will be much easier.

  1. We start gluing with large parts, so we will build the base of the castle. And then small elements are added, for example, such as a staircase, a balcony, ledges on the walls.

  1. For the finished castle, if desired, you can make a stable base that will support the entire structure. It is most often made of polystyrene foam, it is very light and will not make it difficult to move the lock, and at the same time it is quite stable. If you do not have a suitable piece of foam, use the same cardboard.

  1. Now you can start decorating. Here you can fully use your imagination, or if you don’t want to invent, then just take ready-made sketches of locks from the Internet and embody these ideas. Here are some options for decorating castles using colored paper, paints, decorative elements:

To recreate the effect of a brick wall, the entire wall is painted in one base color. For example, in shades of gray or brown. Next, the foam rubber sponge is cut into squares the size of a brick, dipped in a darker paint in relation to the base one and applied around the entire perimeter.

The pitfalls of such handicraft creativity may be the mismatch of the size of the part found on the Internet with a real lock or problems with the deformation of paper and cardboard, because when using glue after drying, slight changes in shape are possible. Try to think through all these points in advance so as not to be disappointed when looking at the finished work.

Video on the topic of the article

In toy stores and online stores you can find a wide variety of models of locks. However, if you do not have enough funds to purchase them or want to create your own unique model, then you can always make such a castle yourself! First of all, you need to choose the materials that suit you. This choice will depend on the level of your skills, available financial resources and free time. Then you will need to find a ready-made model drawing on the Internet or create your own. Based on this drawing, make and assemble all the details of the castle. In the end, all you have to do is paint the castle and add accessories to make the model more realistic.

Steps

Part 1

Material selection

    Decide if you will use cardboard. Cardboard is a great working material for beginners. In addition, it is great for those whose financial capabilities are limited, because extra cardboard can always be found at home. However, a cardboard castle model will not be as strong and durable as a model made from other materials.

    Consider using foam or foamiran. Thick sheets of foam and foamiran can be found in craft stores. They will allow you to create a fairly durable and lightweight construction from them. However, it is sometimes difficult for beginners to cut out parts from foam. If you've never done this before, buy Styrofoam with a spare so you can practice. To work with foam, you will need the following:

    Take wood as a basis. Wood is an excellent choice for building large and strong castles. With quality workmanship, such locks can last for many years. However, it is quite difficult and expensive for beginners to work with wood. To work with wood, you need the following:

    • circular saw for cutting wooden parts;
    • screwdriver;
    • wood glue;
    • nails and screws of various sizes.
  1. Please be aware of the limitations. Before proceeding with the modeling of the castle, consider those factors that will affect the design of the model. For example, think about limited space. This includes the limitations of both the working space and the space for placing the finished model. If your castle is too big, you simply cannot put it anywhere. You should also consider the following things.

    • What are the limitations of the materials you use? For example, a paper lock will not last as long as a wooden one.
    • What is your budget? A paper lock will cost you much less than a foam or wood lock.
    • How much time are you willing to devote to this project? The wooden castle will be very strong, but will require you to work on it for several weeks.

    Part 2

    castle simulation
    1. Decide if you will create your own model. On the Internet you can find many beautiful drawings for the manufacture of various models of castles. They will be useful for beginners and those who are going to work with materials that "do not forgive" mistakes (for example, wood). However, if you have a specific idea in mind, it is probably wise to prepare your own drawing for it.

      Draw a small scale drawing of the castle. When drawing to scale, the correct proportions must be observed. To make such a drawing correctly, you need to proportionally reduce all the parameters of your future castle. For example, if the finished castle should have a size of 90 cm X 60 cm, then the drawing for it can be reduced by 10 times and have parameters of 9 cm X 6 cm.

      • To build a drawing, it will be more convenient to use graph paper.
      • Be sure to include elements such as towers and drawbridges in your drawing.
    2. Highlight the large and small details of the castle. The lock may consist of several large sections at its base and many small sections fixed on top. For example, in the simplest square castle with four towers, the large section will be a square of walls, and the small sections will be the cylinders of the towers.

      • Draw each section of the castle separately to better represent the process of assembling the castle.
    3. Plan every single detail precisely. Your drawing will become your main reference point. Sign on the drawing the actual dimensions of each part of the lock. Try to visually represent the process of assembling parts so as not to be mistaken with their parameters. Be sure to include any additional model elements in the drawing. For example, the following:

      • battlements of the walls;
      • towers;
      • roof;
      • large flat base.
    4. Consider creating templates for making each piece. This step is optional. However, to perform identical parts, it is quite convenient to use paper templates. For example, if you're making a Styrofoam castle with many identical towers, prepare a full size paper template for the tower. Then simply apply the template to the foam and cut out the towers. So they all turn out to be the same in shape and size.

      • Templates are also useful when making paper castles. Instead of drawing the same parts again each time, it is more convenient to cut them out according to the template.

    Part 3

    Making a lock
    1. Cut out all the details. Depending on the material chosen, you may need a saw, a construction knife or a jigsaw. First of all, take a ruler and a pencil to mark the details of the castle. Then carefully cut out the parts, making sure they match the original drawing.

      • You may want to start building your castle as soon as you have just a few details ready. However, it will be easier to work if you cut out all the details beforehand.
      • In order not to get confused during the assembly process, number the parts of the lock.
    2. Make all the necessary holes in the details. Before assembling the parts, make all the necessary holes in them, including windows, loopholes and doorways. Use the drawing as a guide, otherwise you can make a mistake with the location of the holes. If necessary, use a ruler or paper template to ensure the holes are correct. For example, you can do the following.

      Collect large sections of the castle. Large sections of the castle are its foundation. Assemble each individual section with glue or tape (or nails and a hammer if you're working with wood). After assembling large sections, arrange them in the correct order and connect them together. Just remember to use the right adhesive for the material being used. More information on this is provided below.

      Assemble the smaller sections. Small sections are separate structural parts of the castle, such as towers, roofs, gates. Separately assemble all the small sections before attaching them to the larger sections of the castle. After connecting all the details together, it will be possible to start decorating the castle.

      • If you used PVA, spray glue or wood glue to assemble the castle, give it a few hours to fix it and only then proceed to decorate the castle.
    3. Fasten the lock to the base. If you want to create a fairly extensive landscape around the castle, you will need to use a large base for it. Otherwise, make a small base for the castle. It will not allow you to add landscape to the castle, but it will take care of its integrity. If you made a cardboard castle, just glue it to the base. If you made a wooden castle, nail it to the base with nails or screws.

Instruction

Bring the same box from the balcony (there will be room for other trash) and start giving it the look of a house. Cut windows so that the princess has a place to look out in anticipation of the notorious on a white horse, and at least one door so that this prince has a place to enter. Now you need to find boxes from small TVs (you can ask yours), or just small boxes (if yours is not in the mood), from which you will build turrets, otherwise what kind of lock.

Call your husband and strictly ask him for a box from under, ordered and brazenly eaten by him during your last business trip. Having stopped it because this box was removed from behind the back of the sofa (after all, it came in handy), you can build a foundation for our medieval one from it.

Look in the refrigerator, find a package of chicken eggs, remove the last remaining one from it and cut this container into small pots. Since our princess is tiny, this is quite suitable for her as a balcony. However, she won't be upset.

If your imagination jumps briskly, you can build inside the room. Randomly found artifacts, such as empty matchboxes, will form a ladder to the door.

Find colored paper on your child's table and build tower roofs. Hooray, everything is ready. You can go back to childhood.

Manufacturing layouts- a very important component of children's creativity. After all, when assembling a model, a child not only develops imagination, spatial thinking, fine motor skills of the hands, but also a detailed accurate idea of \u200b\u200bthe subject (whether it be a ship, plane or castle).

You will need

  • - Cardboard;
  • - glue;
  • - ruler;
  • - pencil;
  • - compass;
  • - scissors;
  • - paints.

Instruction

Choosing a tree, you will get a strong, durable, chic castle - a real reason for pride. The very texture of the wood will add a special flavor to your creation. The main disadvantage of wooden castle- the complexity of parts from a sheet of wood. If you are good with a jigsaw, then there will be no problems.

Making a castle out of cardboard at first glance is as easy as shelling pears. Easy to cut parts, easy to fasten them together. But difficulties begin to arise when some fragment is not completely glued, you need to add a little glue, a few drops fall on the front "wall" castle, because of this, the paint stains there, etc. It is quite difficult to maintain an impeccable appearance of a product made of such a fragile material. However, for the first time it is recommended to train on cardboard and only then move on to more durable materials.

Having decided on the material, proceed to the development of drawings. Find a castle you like in books or invent it yourself. You may wonder why not first choose a model, and only then the raw materials for its manufacture? Everything is very simple. The implementation of your idea will depend on the specifics of the material. If you choose cardboard as your raw material, you can make rounded, bendable tower pieces with relative ease. Working, on the contrary, will have to slightly reduce the number and complexity of architectural "frills".

When you already have a finished idea, draw a sketch of the future product. And now, right on the sketch, indicate the approximate height, length and width castle. Based on the basic dimensions, proceed to build a more detailed and detailed drawing. It's not as difficult as it seems. Do the work - from largest to smallest. Use a compass to build rounded parts of the drawing.

Transfer the details of the drawing to the material from which the lock will be made. Paint all fragments of the product in the selected color. If you leave painting "for later", you risk leaving hard-to-reach areas white or poorly painted. Let the paint dry completely.

Cut out the details strictly according to the applied contours.

Consistently glue all the details. Let the glue dry and your castle is ready.

  • how to make a cardboard castle

It is difficult to come up with something simpler and more versatile than a box. It can be used to carry items during a move, store a sweet little thing in closets and under the bed, use it to decorate an apartment or as gift wrapping.

You will need

  • Cardboard, ruler, pencil, scissors / stationery knife, glue, colored paper (wrapping paper), decorative bow.

Instruction

Take a large piece of cardboard. It should be sufficiently dense and not brittle - so as not to crack on the folds. Draw a rectangle in the center. This will be the bottom of your box. The sides of the box adjoin its right and left sides. Their equals the depth of the container itself.

Two more sides of the box adjoin the upper and lower faces of the main rectangle - the front and back. Their height is equal to the height of the sides described in the previous paragraph. On the sides of each of these pieces, add flaps to connect the box. If you intend to store light objects in it, 2 cm wide valves will suffice, otherwise it is better to increase the width as much as possible. Cut the edges of the flaps at a 45 degree angle.

Bend the cardboard along all the drawn lines. Lubricate the valves with PVA glue and bend inward, connect them to the sides of the box.
While this part, make a cover. Its length and width are 2-5 mm greater than the length and width of the bottom of the box, and the height of the sides can be any. To the two sides of the cover, also add the sides for fastening.

Following this scheme, you can make a cardboard box of almost any shape. You repeat the main geometric figure as many times as there are sides in the box, add the bottom and valves and make the lid a few millimeters larger than the area of the bottom of the box.

Turn the cardboard over to the wrong side up and use a ruler and pencil to draw the shape shown in the picture. The dimensions of the figure may be different, but all figures must be equal to each other. Allowances for gluing the box must be at least one centimeter, only in this case the box will eventually turn out.

Cut out the resulting figure, bend it along the dotted lines and start gluing (the side glued with colored paper should be outside). Part A, glue to part A, part B, part B, part C, part C, part D, part D. When gluing, try to press the parts as tightly as possible to each other so that there are no gaps.

In order for the product to end up looking more elegant, it must be decorated. To do this, take a decorative bow (a bow in a contrasting color with the box itself is ideal) and glue it to the outside of the box lid (in the figure, the box lid is detail E). To create such a box, exceptionally thick cardboard is suitable.

To make a box, take a sheet of thick craft cardboard measuring 23 * 23 cm and another sheet of the same cardboard measuring 16 * 16. Some types of craft cardboard are quite expensive, but you can get cheaper cardboard without loss. The gift box will have a taller bottom and a smaller lid, so different sized sheets of cardboard will be needed. The size can vary, the main thing is that the lid and bottom fit together. Make cuts in the cardboard sheet corresponding to the bottom of the box. This sheet should measure 23*23. As a result, with the help of scissors, you should get a design that looks like an equilateral cross. The cuts should be in that order. First, cut the sheet at the edges to a depth of 7.5 cm towards the center, stepping back from the corners also by 7.5 cm. Make 4 cuts on two opposite sides of the sheet. As a result, you should get 4 squares with a side of 7.5 cm at the corners of a sheet of cardboard and 2 rectangles located between them. Then draw lines with a pencil on both sides of the sheet, marking the top and bottom of the cuts with them. After cutting along the lines, you should get a shape resembling a cross or addition sign. At a distance of 4 cm from the edge, cut the side edges diagonally towards the center. After that, you will get triangles at the top and bottom. Now we start working on the second, smaller sheet of cardboard. Cut it in the same way as the first, only take into account the smaller dimensions. The result is a figure that resembles a cross or an addition sign. This figurine will have triangular notches at the corners. Now bend the corners where the triangular cutouts are. There will be 4 of them: 2 from the bottom and 2 from the top.

Bring the sides of the cardboard sheet together, bending them towards the center. Take each corner from the bottom and bend it up. In this case, the central part of the sheet, which remained flat, should form the correct one. Those. you will get 4 side faces that surround the bottom in boxes. It remains the side faces so that the triangular protrusions are located on the inside.

Connect the side faces so that the triangular protrusions are located on the inside. Fold the edges of the box up, once again making sure that the cutouts are located on the inside of the walls. These cutouts will serve to connect the individual side faces of the box.

Now do the same with the lid. Take a smaller sheet of cardboard and fold the edges of the sheet as described above. Then fold the edges of the sheet towards its center, forming the side edges of the box. Raise all four edges. Remember to keep the triangular cutouts on the inside at all times. Glue the triangular cutouts to the inside of the box walls. Thus, you will have two halves of the box in your hands, which can be combined with glue. Then wait for the glue to dry by pressing down on the edges of the sides of the box. Then put the lid of the box on its base. Homemade cardboard box is ready.

By creating artifacts, you turn a normal item into a magic item. Consider the main condition that the object of your influence has an energy body with which you will interact. Any household item has a neutral balance of energies, it is indifferent to the environment, therefore it cannot perform a magical effect. You must activate his energy field, create an information matrix. This can be done in several ways.

Instruction

Act with time. Place the item in a magically active place. First, there are an infinite number of such places in any region. Secondly, you do not have to spend any special efforts or abilities to create an artifact. You just need to organize the transportation of the item. The negative side of this technique is that in order for the item to be charged, you have to wait quite a long time, at least six months. It is even better to withstand twenty times longer if you have a guarantee that it will not be stolen there.

Use a character value. Over the long millennia of the existence of mankind, symbols, due to repeated use, have left their cliché in the information field of the planet. Apply them to any surface to endow the object with a new information matrix. For example, you can use Scandinavian runes, symbols of the East and Kabbalah. The advantage of this method of creating an artifact lies in its relative simplicity. The difficulty is that you must not only know, but also be aware of the meanings of the symbols that you are going to depict. Consider the geo-referencing of some of them. Remember that a rune may look different than the quality it has.

Spend, which today is the traditional order of performing a magical act. Approach the question fundamentally, because you are not interested in making rain or driving out. Remember that the complexity of the manipulation is only external, and often just imaginary. You, as the creator of the artifact, will be the full leader of the process, determine it from beginning to end and get exactly the item that you need.

Use the technique. All of the above ways of turning objects into artifacts can be combined according to your needs. So you reduce the disadvantages of some methods and, conversely, enhance the advantages of others.

There are a lot of options for paper castle models - as many as real buildings built in different eras. To learn how to make a copy of any of them, master the technique of creating the main elements of the castle - walls, towers, keep.

Instruction

Draw a drawing of the castle you want to make. Determine what parts it will consist of. Mark the dimensions of each part. If you find it difficult to come up with the structure of the castle, find photos of it in encyclopedias or on the Internet.

As a material, take colored cardboard. Then later you will only have to finish the small details.

Start building a fortress from the wall. It should surround the entire structure. Since towers are built into the wall, you need to make several segments of the same height. On the cardboard of the required length, mark the height of the wall, draw a line parallel to the bottom edge of the sheet. Above the same line, mark the thickness of the wall and again set aside the height. Bend the workpiece along the marked lines. Crown the top of the wall with teeth. Make them separately in the form of cubes, the side of which is equal to the width of the wall. Make a cube scan from six identical squares. Add valves to connect the faces together. Glue the cubes and attach them to the wall at the same distance from each other.

The towers of the fortress can be both cylindrical and quadrangular. To make a cylinder, cut out a rectangle and glue the sides together. In the second case, you will need a box. Complement cylindrical towers with cone-shaped roofs, the tops of quadrangular towers should consist of four connected triangles.

Collect all the elements of the outer "layer" of the fortress. Make holes in the side faces of the towers, insert parts of the wall into them and fix with glue.

Inside, "build" residential and utility rooms. Their number and shape depends on the era and location of the castle you are copying. In the center, place a cylindrical or polygonal donjon - the main room. This building must be the tallest. It can be connected to lower buildings or made stand-alone.

Ready lock colorize. Draw windows and loopholes on the fortress wall. On the castle itself there are windows and doors of various configurations. If your model is large enough, you can draw silhouettes of the castle's inhabitants in the windows.

Carbonated water is a favorite treat of all generations, but the modern food industry does not always offer a quality product. However, do not deny yourself the pleasure of drinking a glass of cool soda on a hot summer day - because this drink can be prepared at home.

Theoretical side of the issue

The manufacturing process is not that complicated. There are several prescription mixtures, but the main one for each is carbon dioxide CO2, which is not amenable to the combustion process, has no smell and color, and is also much heavier than oxygen and at the same time quickly dissolves in a liquid, giving the latter a slight sourness. This is what the soda production process looked like in Soviet-era machines: carbon dioxide was supplied under pressure from a cylinder to a tank of sweetened water and completely dissolved in the liquid.

For domestic water, you can use special cylinders with carbon dioxide and a siphon that allows you to supply gas in portions to water (sold in hardware stores).

Is it possible to purchase a siphon and cylinders? It's okay, you can produce carbon dioxide from household items such as baking soda and vinegar. When these two ingredients are mixed, a chemical reaction occurs, the consequence of which is the release of carbon dioxide. Mix products in the following proportions: per liter of water, take seven tablespoons of 9% vinegar and baking soda in the amount of two teaspoons. You will also need the following inventory: a one-meter PVC tube, two bottles (choose dark ones) and two caps with pre-punched holes, the diameter of which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the tube.

Carbonation process

The first bottle must be filled with water, and the second bottle should be filled with soda and vinegar. It is important to remember that the chemical reaction must be delayed in time, so pre-wrap the soda in a paper towel and pour vinegar on its surface - this way you will have time to firmly fix the bottle cap before carbon dioxide starts to be released and you can avoid losing a significant part of it volume. Be sure to fix the tube tightly in the cap holes with liquid plastic or glue to avoid gas leakage.

A paper napkin can be replaced with an envelope made of cling film or foil. Make holes in its surface in advance to facilitate the process of a chemical reaction.

During the process of mixing water and carbon dioxide, the soda container must be shaken properly for 5 minutes in order to release the maximum possible volume of gas in the best possible way. At the end you will get a drink of a low degree of carbonation, the taste of which can be diversified with the help of syrups, fruit or fruit juices.

flower meadow

To make roses you will need:
- cardboard egg cartons;
- acrylic paints;
- scissors;
- brushes;
- glue.

Cut off the tops of the cells, line them up, fold them in half and cut out the petals. Bend the resulting elements with scissors slightly from the center. Cut another cone in the same way, making the petals slightly smaller than the previous one. Connect the inner and outer part with glue.

To give an attractive gradient color, you need two shades of pink. Use rich pink in the center of the rose, dilute the selected color with white on the outer petals. If the rose does not have enough volume, add individual petals cut from the egg tray.

Rose leaves are cut in a similar way. The finished rose can be inserted into a flower wreath or connected with floral wire.

If the sight of bright yellow daffodils makes your heart beat faster, stock up on yellow paint. Each flower needs six petals. Cut them out so that the bottom of the box is captured. As a result, the petals will have a concave shape.

Cut out a circle from the lid of the tray and glue the petals together with glue. Cut off the sidewall from the next cell and twist it into a tube, glue it to the center of the flower. Paint the daffodil with yellow acrylic paints and thread the floral wire.

Wall decoration "under the brick"

Soak paper egg cartons in water, let them soak and wring out. It will take 2-3 days for the packages to soak, if they are divided into small pieces, it will take several hours.

Grind the resulting mass with a blender. If the pulp contains too much moisture, wring it out through cheesecloth. Place the workpiece in a convenient bowl, add 1 tablespoon of gypsum and 70 g of PVA glue for each kilogram of paper pulp. Mix the composition well. However, it is not necessary to be zealous, because the result should be an imitation of an uneven, natural stone.

Choose the shape for future "bricks" based on the required size and thickness. Cover the form with cellophane film, tamp the mass into it and form the surface. After the mass has solidified, carefully pull out the brick by the corners of the cellophane. Lay on a sheet of absorbent paper and leave to dry completely for 24 hours.

For a country house, 20- or 40-foot metal containers are suitable. This capacity will cost less if you buy decommissioned equipment. If the house is planned to be used for several years, it is advisable to install it on the foundation.

What foundation is needed for a container house?

For a container house, a columnar foundation is the best choice. It can be built from monolithic or prefabricated supports. In the first case, FBS blocks are used, the optimal dimensions are length from 0.9 to 2.4 m, cross section - 0.4 m. Prefabricated pillars are built of brick. The supports are buried to the depth of soil freezing.

If the soil on the site is dense, low-moisture and stable (clay, loam, rocky), the container can be installed on a leveled area. But to compensate for the forces of heaving of the soil, it is recommended to make sand and gravel filling or lay car tires filled with soil, sand, broken bricks.

How to make a country house out of a container?

After installing the container on the foundation, they determine the location of doors and windows. In the right places, lines of openings are drawn and metal is cut out using a gas burner. Then install window and door blocks. Then the metal is coated with anti-corrosion impregnation or paint.

The next step is the installation and insulation of the floor. As a rule, the floor in containers is made of plywood impregnated with antiseptic compounds, laid on a metal base. Logs need to be installed on plywood. For this purpose, take a bar with a section of 10/10 cm or boards with a section of 10/5 cm. The lumber is fixed to the floor with anchors or bolts.

Then work on the insulation of the floor is carried out. To do this, you can use bulk material: expanded clay, river sand, sawdust. But the best choice is polystyrene 10 cm thick (lag in height). All voids formed after laying the insulation are filled with moisture and frost-resistant construction foam.

The walls and ceiling are insulated with foam or mineral wool. First, a frame is assembled from wooden bars or a metal profile. Vertical racks should be installed in increments of 40-45 cm. A heat insulator is laid between them, then the walls and ceiling are sheathed. For these purposes, you can use drywall, OSB boards, plastic panels, lining.

Next build a pitched roof. Begin work with the device truss system. A waterproofing material is laid on top of the farm boards: roofing material. Then the roofing is mounted: slate, ondulin, metal tile, profiled metal profile.

Tip 10: 2 Ways to Make a Vase from Chip Cardboard

The cardboard tube, in which some brands of chips are packed, is very convenient for various crafts. See how you can make an original vase for dried flowers from a simple cardboard.

Decorate the vase with two or three small artificial flowers. Leaflets for them can be cut out of green paper, fabric, as well as special floral materials. By the way, flowers can also be made independently from fabric or paper.

DIY "glass" flower vase

For crafts you will need cardboard tube from chips, glue, glass "pebbles" or large rhinestones, white paper.

Work process:

Cover the box of chips with white paper.

Glue the glass pieces onto the paper as tightly as possible to each other. Please note that the finished vase will look neater if you choose glue-on rhinestones for crafting, and fill the space between large stones with small rhinestones.

Helpful advice: you should not pour water into such a vase, but the problem can be solved if you find a plastic or glass cup of a suitable diameter to put it inside the vase. You can also use a small plastic bottle for this purpose.
