Vertical hemstitch with aspen needles. An elongated pullover with an openwork hemstitch pattern. Video master class “Knitting with knitting needles”

The vertical hemstitch stripes of this pattern look very good both on knitted clothes and on products for decorating the interior of an apartment.

The pattern is simple, it is found in many collections of knitting patterns, among which there are those who are too smart with the scheme and description. But everything is elementary. There is an openwork strip from a group of alternating 4 yarn overs and 3 facial loops. And there is a dense vertical strip of two groups of double decreases: first, two decreases with an inclination to the left (pulling) and two decreases with an inclination to the right (two facial loops are simply knitted behind the front walls). It is these four decreases that form a convex vertical strip.

Pattern scheme:

Rapport is obtained from 11 loops.
For the sample, the loops are dialed in a multiplicity of 11 and two more loops for the edge.

Description of the knitting pattern:

Repeat knitting from ** to **.

1st row:
edge, ** two loops together behind the front walls and again two loops together in one step with a grip on the front walls, yarn over, front, yarn over, front, yarn over, front, yarn over, two loops together by pulling (the first is removed on the right knitting needle, the second knitted front and stretched through the first, which is thrown off the knitting needle - only the second remains) **, edge.

2 row:
All loops are purl, including the crochets.

The sample from this photo is knitted with fairly thin threads on bobbins (approximately 8/2, i.e. 400 meters in 100 grams) and knitting needles No. 2.
Since the knitting needles are thinner than the yarn manufacturer recommends, I made 2 yarn overs instead of one, but knitted them with one purl loop on the next row. Therefore, the openwork hemstitch turned out to be more openwork, and the dense stripes were more dense and convex.

Photo 2.

This sample was knitted, on the contrary, with thicker knitting needles. The knitting turned out to be more "uniformly openwork". In this form, it can be used to make a border or knit gizmos in the Missoni style. small scallops of the lower edge can serve as a good design for a knitted fabric. The first few rows are in garter stitch.

Dimensions: 36/38 (44/46).

You will need: yarn (100% cotton; 50 m / 50 g) - 900 (1100) g col. khaki sectional dyeing; knitting needles number 8; circular knitting needles No. 8; 2 buttons.

Pattern 1: garter stitch \u003d rows in the forward and reverse direction: front and back rows - front loops; circular rows: alternately 1 circular row of facial, 1 circular row of purl.

Pattern 2: front surface = front rows - front loops, purl rows - purl loops.

Pattern 3:"Merezhka": 1-6th rows: pattern 1; 7th row: * knit 1, yarn over 1, from * repeat constantly; 8th row: facial, while throwing off the yarn of the previous row; 9-12th rows: pattern 1. Run 1 time 1-12th rows.

Pattern 4: fantasy pattern (the number of loops is a multiple of 14 + 2 hem) = knit acc. scheme. It has knit and purl rows. Start with 1 edge, repeat constantly
repeat, finish 1 edge. Run 1 time 1-12th rows.

Pattern sequence A:* 12 rows of pattern 3, 2 rows of pattern 2, 12 rows of pattern 4, 2 rows of pattern 2, while in the 1st row of the yarn of the previous row (= 12th row of pattern 4), knit the crochets with the front crossed, from * constantly repeat.

Pattern sequence B: 2 rows with pattern 2, 12 rows with pattern 4, 2 rows with pattern 2, while in the 1st row of the yarn of the previous row, knit face crossed, then knit 21 cm = 50 rows with pattern 1.

Knitting density: patterns 3, 2 and 4 on average - 12.5 p. x 20.5 p. = 10 x 10 cm; pattern 1 - 12.5 p. x 24 p. = 10 x 10 cm; 2 rows in pattern 2, 12 rows in pattern 4 and 2 rows in pattern 2 = 10 cm.

Back: Cast on 58 (72) sts on needles and knit 1 purl row. This series is not taken into account in subsequent calculations. Continue work acc. sequence of patterns A. After 47 cm = 96 rows (43 cm = 88 rows) from the initial row, close for armholes on both sides 1 x 6 p. = 46 (60) p. In the future, in pattern 4, knit the 1st loop after the edge and the last loop before the edge pattern 2, pattern 4 start and end in the middle of the scheme. After 67.5 cm = 138 rows from the initial row, close for the shoulder bevel on both sides 1 x 3 (5) p., Then in each 2nd row 2 x 3 (4) p. Simultaneously with the 1st decrease for the shoulder close for the neck the middle 16 (20) p. and finish both sides separately. For rounding along the inner edge, close in each 2nd row 1 x 2 p. And 1 x 1 p. Close the remaining 3 (4) p. Shoulders after 70 cm = 144 rows from the initial row.

Before: knit like a back, but for a deeper neck, already after 61.5 cm = 126 rows from the initial row, close the middle 12 (16) p. And for rounding along the inner edge, close in each 2nd row 1 x 2 p. And 1 x 1 p., then in every 4th row 2 x 1 p.

Sleeves: Cast on 36 (44) sts for each sleeve and knit 1 purl row. Then for the strap, knit 11.5 cm = 28 rows with pattern 1. Continue as follows: edge, 3 (0) p. with pattern 2, 28 (42) p. acc. sequence of patterns B, 3 (0) p. pattern 2, edge. At the same time, add sleeves for the bevel on both sides in each 6th row from the bar 8 (9) x 1 p. pattern = 52 (62) p. After 31 cm = 66 rows from the bar, close all loops.

Assembly: sew shoulder seams. Cast on 66 (74) loops on circular needles along the edge of the neckline and knit 2 cm with pattern 1 in circular rows. Then close all the loops, as facial ones. Sew on the sleeves, sew the side seams and the seams of the sleeves, while the lower 5 cm of the seams of the sleeves are made from the front side. Then turn the lower 5 cm of the sleeves outward. For a strap, cast on 6 loops on the needles and knit 6 cm with pattern 1. Then cast off all loops. Sew the ends of the straps in the middle to the sleeve and to the lapel, sew a button to the lower end.

Openwork knitting is today a modern and surprisingly beautiful type of knitting. Knitting according to this type of knitting makes the thing unique and unrepeatable. To learn, you just need to master the types of loops with which knitted diverse patterns are created.

A hand-knitted thing, it can be a dress, a blouse, a scarf, in the first place, is an exclusive. These things do not go out of fashion and are worn at any time of the year.

patterns

You have to master the main types of loop combinations - purl, front, hem and yarn over. With the help of these techniques, you will learn about how smooth, embossed, voluminous and openwork patterns. At the beginning of work, this sample must be knitted with a size of 10x10 cm in order to determine the rows of fabric and the number of loops per cm. This way you will know the exact size of the product.

Preparatory stage

To get started, you need to prepare in advance.

Tools and materials

Since they are of no small importance when knitting with a particular yarn, I will introduce you a little to the varieties.

There is multiple choice. They are straight, hosiery and circular, and there are also differences in size and length. Skilled knitters prefer to work with aluminum and plastic. They are more durable and pleasant to the touch in terms of smoothness, and at the same time light. There are also other materials: steel, wood, bamboo. And here's what's even more important! For an individual yarn, there is a specific number and length. Knitting needles are from 20 - 90 cm, and the number corresponds to the thickness. You always need to select knitting accessories per unit more than the thickness of the yarn. Except only in fleecy or downy yarn - in this case they are selected 2-3 mm from the thickness of the complex yarn.

There is a huge amount of yarn with its own characteristics.

Yarn is divided into the following types:

  • wool
  • wool mixture
  • synthetics
  • cotton
  • acrylic
  • angora
  • mohair

Openwork hemstitch

It has a transverse technique, vertical, horizontal.

Horizontal

Let's start with the horizontal line:

The report consists of two rows. For the sample, we collect the number of loops in multiples of three.

Making the first row

We remove the edge and make a crochet from right to left.

Then, one front. The report turned out horizontally.

We repeat the yarn over from the beginning, that is, from right to left, two sheets, along with a tilt to the left and one front.

So you need to knit to the end of the row. The last edge is the wrong side.

The second row we knit all the wrong loops

We knit the nakida with purl, remove the hem and knit all the purl loops

.

The third row is repeated from the first row.

Having learned to knit the simplest elements, you can pamper yourself and your loved ones by knitting any thing. Consider the following option - this is a vertical technique. You can knit a scarf with it, or you can use such a piece in any model. Take a look and use as you see fit.

vertical

It is complemented between two openworks of any knitting to give the product originality and beauty. The middle pattern - the strip comes from four loops.

First of all, we collect 11 loops to start creating a vertical hemstitch. It is knitted from 4 loops, but at the beginning we will knit from e3, then it will be added. We just remove one loop.

I chose the beginning - garter stitch; we collect from three loops.

Let's get to the track. We knit from the following three middle loops - front, yarn and two together front.

And finally we collect the remaining four loops of garter stitch.

Then we knit two loops together faces., we make a crochet and the next two - the same way.

Having knitted the middle at the end, four loops remained. We collect any pet., For example, try knitting with front stitch or wrong side.

And we continue the same process with turning over, that is, we collect 4 loops of knots, two loops together of faces, we make a crochet and the next two loops of the front and the final four with any kind of knitting.

You see the result in the picture.

As you can see, there is nothing difficult to connect such an element. The middle of the hemstitch - such a track can be knitted on any product you have conceived. I wish you success! And everything that interests you, you can find on the Internet. It has long been known to everyone that handmade works are exclusive.

A beautiful openwork hemstitch will be an excellent finish for a product knitted with the simplest knitting - hosiery or garter. The pattern can be used when knitting summer blouses or dresses, as well as a finishing strip on a shawl, scarf or scarf. Rapport pattern width 8 loops, height 16 rows. To knit a sample of the pattern on the knitting needles, the number of loops is a multiple of 8 plus 1 loop for the symmetry of the pattern, plus 2 edge loops.

1st, 5th and 13th row: all loops are facial;

2, 4, 6, 12, 14, 16 row: all loops are purl;
