Brooches from satin ribbons for graduation. How to make a kanzashi ribbon brooch. New videos and photos of MK for beginners. How to make a satin ribbon brooch: a general description of the process

Kanzashi is a technique for creating jewelry from small pieces of fabric and ribbons folded in a special way. With flowers created from scraps in this way, geisha decorated their kimonos and hairstyles. Kanzashi hair accessories and brooches are often worn with national costumes, but they can add elegance to any look and transform even the most ordinary outfit.

Material for kanzashi technique

Patchwork flowers are used to create hairpins, headbands, rings, bracelets. Such accessories can be made independently using ordinary satin ribbons. Some needlewomen create products from leather and vinyl. Let's try to make an unusual brooch together. It is best to use not too dense material for work, it will be easier to fold it. Silk and starched cotton will do.

What you need to create jewelry

We prepare the necessary materials. This:

  1. a small piece of fabric, about 5 cm wide and 25 cm long;

  2. thick threads;

  3. quality sewing needles;

  4. scissors;

  5. beads and beads;

  6. a small piece of felt;

  7. glue gun;

  8. fastening for a brooch;

  9. pins.

How to make a kanzashi brooch out of fabric: a master class

We cut the flap of fabric so that five squares of the same size are obtained. It will be optimal to cut shreds 5x5 cm in size.

Take one of the squares and fold it in half to make a triangle. The fold should be on the right. Lightly press the material with your finger, smoothing the line. Fold one of the halves again, creating a smaller triangle.

We bend the second corner back: on each side there are now triangles of fabric. We have the first petal. We cut off a few millimeters from the open edge and stab it with a pin. To secure the patch, you can use stealth, patchwork clips, or sew the workpiece with a few stitches. This will make the middle of the flower neater and prevent the triangles from opening up.

Repeat all steps until we get 5 petals.

We collect the flower by sewing the leaves to each other. First we make them in one line, then we sew the extreme patches. We try to pierce the material with a needle as close as possible to the cut off corner. The process itself is a bit like stringing beads on a string.

Having finished sewing the petals, turn the workpiece over and overcast the edges of the flower so that it keeps its shape. Do not worry if the stitches are not too even, the felt blank will cover them later.

Now you need to spread the petals. To do this, we turn the fold in the middle of each leaf, pushing the fabric inward. The middle should “fail”, and the edges should remain vertical. We continue to form the petals until all 5 are straightened. We got a blank for a kanzashi brooch in the form of a plum flower. It remains to decorate it with beads and make a mount at the back.

It is not necessary to decorate the center of the flower, but the accessory will look more attractive if you highlight its details. You can sew a bead into the middle or add rhinestones by attaching them with a glue gun.

We turn the brooch over and apply glue to the corners to strengthen them. Then we cut out a pentagon from felt and attach a holder to it.

Now the product is ready. You can wear the resulting kanzashi brooch with pride, as it was created with your own hands.

Satin Ribbon Brooch: Creation Tools

Accessory does not have to be so simple. If you add sharp petals, make curls, combine several types of fabrics and textures, you get an interesting piece of jewelry that can be worn not only in everyday life, but also at festive events. Before you make a kanzashi brooch from ribbons, you need to prepare the material for work.

We will need:

  1. satin ribbon 4 cm wide;

  2. brocade ribbon 4 cm wide;

  3. stamens for flowers;

  4. glue gun;

  5. basis for a brooch;

  6. scissors;

  7. tweezers;

  8. lighter.

Ribbon brooch making process

We cut the tape into shreds 4x4 cm. We will make the petals double. To do this, we fold one square of satin and brocade ribbon diagonally and fix the tip with a lighter. We put pieces of tape on top of each other, connect with a lighter on one side and fold in half. We bend one end, and cut the other a little with scissors. Bend the cut corner outward and collect the tips. Once again, cut off the edge and singe with a lighter so that the petal does not fall apart. Now you need to take out the tip of the tape from the center. This is easier to do with tweezers.

We cut off the edge, drip a little glue on the tip of the patch and bend it inside the workpiece with tweezers. You should get a petal with a curl. We press it down and cut off the back diagonally, set fire to the edge with a lighter. We make 6-7 such details. Additionally, the same number of simple triangular petals are made. Then we stick a piece of tape on the base so that the leaves hold better. Let's start assembling the kanzashi brooch. We apply glue to the base and form a flower: first we attach a layer with curled petals, add triangular leaves along the edges. We decorate the middle with stamens, collecting them in two pieces, glue a bead in the center. A kanzashi brooch for a dress or any other costume is ready!

Kanzashi brooch: making different decorations from ribbons and beads (video)

The kanzashi technique has many faces. With its help, it is allowed to produce incredible things and jewelry from ribbons. Starting from a kanzashi necklace and kanzashi earrings, and ending with kanzashi hair ornaments. But that's not all that you can do with your own hands in such an interesting technique.
A detailed master class (mk) of brooches with actual photo and video material for beginners tells about what kind of jewelry from ribbons you can create with your own hands from rep and shiny ribbons. Choose an attractive and suitable master class (mk) for yourself and create incredible things with your own hands.

Charming brooch

Ribbon brooch, like ribbon jewelry, is quite easy to make, after creating a few pieces, you yourself will understand it.

Before you start this master class (mk) of brooches, satin ribbon jewelry, you need to purchase the necessary accessories, namely:

  • suitable material;
  • needle with thread and scissors;
  • a small piece of felt;
  • decorative material for decoration, in the form of beads and beads;
  • glue for textiles;
  • the main part for the brooch.

If you have prepared everything and are ready to start on your own, then let's get to work.
The master class begins with the creation of a rounded kanzashi petal for a brooch. Take one of the cut squares and fold it in half to make an isosceles triangle. Next, bend it in half again, and you get a small triangle.

With your fingers, take it by any corner and attach it to the closed corner of our figure. The second corner, also attach to all others. All angles are at the same point. You have the very first petal. Put something heavy on it so that it does not turn around while you create the other five blanks.

Fasten the edge where all the corners are with a thread. So, your petals will be even, while fastening them together. Make only one seam from the wrong side, and do not touch the central part.
Do not cut the thread, but do the same manipulations with the rest of the basic materials. When you do this, you can make sure that the petals of the brooch stay together and don't fall apart. Turn the brooch inside out, clasp the primary and last petal near the corners. Sew the ends that you wrapped around with your fingers.

Then, take all the same petals and insert a needle and thread into them away from the middle, fixing them.
Take the adjacent petal of the brooch, and sew with the next, in the same way as the two previous blanks. After the manipulations with the materials, remove the thread. You have formed a craft that looks like a star, as shown in the photo.

Turn over the kanzashi brooch. You got sharp ends on the edges of the petals, this can only be corrected by pressing them with your fingers, closer to the center. In order for you to succeed, do this several times.
Attach a beautiful bead to the central part of the brooch. From the felt cloth, cut out a circle that will become the basis for the kanzashi brooch. Glue it to the flower and attach the lock. Brooch in kanzashi technique, completely ready, you can try it on your dress or blouse.

For a better understanding of the material, satin ribbon jewelry, we recommend that you watch an entertaining video about the brooch.

Exquisite neck necklace

This master class (mk) of kanzashi jewelry will clearly demonstrate how to create a kanzashi-style neck necklace that is worn and adorns the neck with your own hands.

For the sake of a kanzashi necklace, we need such accessories, or more precisely, then:

  • a cut of satin and rep ribbons, preferably scarlet, golden and white;
  • thin ribbons;
  • special glue;
  • fire lighters or candles;
  • soldering iron;
  • fasteners for jewelry.

As you know from previous lessons, from the beginning, you need to cut the ribbons into squares. To do this, you will need red squares, in the amount of three pieces, 5 by 5 in size and eight pieces 2.5 by 2.5. Make white ones, 18 pieces, 5 by 5 in size. There should be 19 golden squares, 2.5 by 2.5 in size.

After you have made the blanks, you need to make pointed petals, large in size with holes. And a few pieces without punctures. In order to master the technique of creating pointed petals, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the video and photo on this topic.
We make six circles, of which two are scarlet, and four must be white. We take three pieces for the base of the flower, and the rest will cover those places where the mount will be visible.

Take 19 blanks of gold color and paste them into the same number of petals of a scarlet hue, large size. Do the same manipulations with red petals.

One craft is made of eight red pieces, while others will consist of scarlet and white.

The next steps for beginners are to make a rope that will serve as a fastener for our neck. Use satin or rep ribbon fabric and tie them. One strip will be slightly longer than the other. Set it on fire with a lighter, and quickly make a pointed edge. Such an end will more easily enter the end switch, which is attached to the necklace. Attach fasteners, and the rope for the necklace around the neck is completely ready.

Take our kanzashi flowers, namely, we attach the red color in the middle, and the rest of the blanks on the sides. The place to which the flowers were glued is closed with round clippings.
What is left is attached to the middle flower and decorated with beads. Look at the photo and you will see how the neck jewelry should be. In order to consolidate our material, study the video instruction for beginners.

dressy belt

This master class (mk), more complex, we will create a kanzashi belt with our own hands, with which festive clothes are decorated. In this technique, the belt will look even more pompous than a regular accessory. Blanks from rep and satin ribbons, as well as organza, will be able to make a belt, which for beginners will be a pleasant discovery in needlework. The rose that will decorate your belt will be made in the style of kanzashi. In order to create it, we need some accessories:

  • basma gray from satin;
  • still such fittings, only with a diameter;
  • gray organza;
  • double beige basma;
  • tulle ribbon, also beige;
  • thread with a needle;
  • sharp scissors;
  • beige felt;
  • decorative material, in the form of pearls and beads;
  • guipure cord.

The central dyeing of our crafts will be the queen of plants - a rose. In order to create it, we need 3 ribbons, each 50 cm long. Tie the edges with a knot and sew with thread. Then, we cut out two circles from felt, 4.5 cm in diameter, and make holes in the middle. The tail of our knot, we put it into this hole. We twist the cuts of ribbons together, doing it in a circle, to give the necessary shape of a rose. The bottom is linen, it is necessary to sew through the felt. We fix the knots on the wrong side of the piece of felt. The second rose is made in exactly the same way, based on the same patterns.

We begin to make a flower, which is necessary in order to decorate the belt. It is necessary to cut fourteen squares, 5 by 5 in size. Fold with your own hands, a small square obliquely to make an isosceles triangle. Roll up the end. Fold it in half again, so that the core is inside the triangles, as shown in the photo. Pull the thread into the needle and make a knot, and then stick it through the petals, just above the end. Make one seam and fix it on the front side. In order to create a beautiful belt with your own hands, you need to do the rest of the blanks in the same way. We will need 7 of these products.

It is necessary to cut off the excess fabric, below the created seam. Sew everything and pull off. In the same way, we create the rest of the flowers.
The belt is not finished yet, we continue the master class on creating such crafts with our own hands. Cut 27 more 4x4 organza squares for 3 flowers. Each such blank will be created from nine squares. We begin to sew flowers to the gray ribbon, starting from the central part. Then, we move on to the side seats. Decorate with pearls and beads to make the belt look festive. The rose will be adorned with a pearl.
Look at the photo and you will see which handmade belt should come out.

Video materials that are designed for beginner needlewomen will help you figure out the little things and read the patterns of material blanks in order to make kanzashi decorations by hand.

1. TSUMAMI KANZASHI. FINE BROOCHES DECORATED WITH CRAFTS FROM SATIN RIBBONS

Decorations in the form of intricate flowers or amazing butterflies made of satin ribbons look very impressive even on the most sophisticated blouse or on a fashionable women's jacket. Jewelry created in the style of kanzashi is especially appreciated. with your own hands. From pieces of bright ribbons you can make beautiful petals, which are usually decorate hairpins or headbands and other women's accessories. Recently, fashionistas can be seen wearing tsumami-style kanzashi jewelry on brooches. These accessories will be discussed in this article. You will also find here interesting master classes and video tutorials for beginner needlewomen, with the help of which you will definitely be able to make original crafts from ribbons (or fabrics) for women's accessories with their own hands.

The ancestor of the tsumami kanzashi technique is the popular direction in arts and crafts - origami . Only individual modules for crafts are not made of paper, but of pieces of satin ribbons (or other types of fabric). The Japanese word "Tsumami" means "to pinch". Individual elements of kanzashi products are formed using tweezers, a candle flame and .. of course, thanks to the hard work of your hands :)

In the hands of the master, folded pieces of fabric come to life and turn into miniature five-petal daisies, multi-tiered chrysanthemums, touching roses. or in whimsical compositions for pendants and brooches.

2. HANDMADE SATIN RIBBON BROOCHES ARE BACK IN FASHION!

Skillfully crafted jewelry in the form of a brooch with original ribbon flowers can compete even with jewelry accessories as an accent for a women's costume.

Today, fantasy brooches in the kanzashi style with various symbols, with geometric shapes, and especially with the image of flowers that look like living ones on clothes, are in demand!

Massive brooches with a rich composition of pieces of fabric or satin ribbons can be used to fasten the edges of the collar, and small brooches with single ribbon flowers look good on the left side of the chest (8 centimeters below the shoulder line). There are very interesting options for kanzashi-style brooches in the form of buckles on wide belts.

Before introducing you to the master classes on making brooches using the kanzashi technique, let me dwell on the basic principles of this method of decorating women's accessories:

How to make individual elements - sharp and round kanzashi petals, we told you in the previous article.

As a basis for a brooch, you can use a circle (2-8 cm in diameter, depending on the size of the flower), cut out of a sheet of thick cardboard. Then the blank is pasted over with organza, and a pin (or other device for fixing on clothes) is installed from below with the help of transparent glue and a piece of tape.

Now you can stick the folded ribbon petals around the edge of the brooch base. On top of the base, you can glue a circle cut out of fabric to match the color of the petals so that gaps do not stand out.

Next, we continue to carefully glue the petals in several rows, approaching the center of the brooch. And at the end of the work, you can decorate the brooch with beads, beads, rhinestones and other elements of your choice.

There are a large number of gifts that you can make yourself, and many of them are not that difficult, despite the fact that they look very beautiful.

I suggest you check it out!
Materials and tools necessary for work:
- satin ribbon of 2 contrasting colors 0.7 cm or 1.2 cm wide;
- 2 circles with a diameter of 3 cm, made of non-woven or felt;
- glue "Moment" or glue gun;
- candle or lighter;
- Scissors;
- Tweezers;
- Basis for a brooch;
- Beads or rhinestones to decorate the middle of the brooch.

Progress:

1. We cut the tape into segments as follows: pink 8 pieces 16 cm long, and 8 pieces - 12 cm; gray 8 pieces 16 cm long, and 8 pieces 12 cm;

2. Fold the tape with the right side inward (shiny).
At the fold, we cut off at an angle, but not reaching the edge of the corner of 0.2-0.3 mm, since when the cut is melted with a flame, the edge will melt exactly into the corner;

3. We burn the cut over the flame and press it with tweezers.

4. We unfold it on the front side and put the ends on top of each other, forming a petal

5. We burn the ends and solder them together.

6. This is how the petal looks like.

7. We make the remaining petals.

8. There are two circles in the photo, one - on which we will glue the petals, it is necessary to apply auxiliary lines on it; the second - the base for the brooch is attached to it.

9. We begin to collect our flower. On the basis we distribute the points of gluing the petals. We conditionally divide the circle into 8 parts and glue the petals along the outer circle of gray color - this is the first row, then pink,
fill the space between the gray petals is the second row. The first two rows are glued with long petals.

10. We form the third row. Glue the petals so that they lie between the petals of the second row (gray)

11. We glue the fourth row of petals like the third, only along the third (inner) circle.
Glue a bead or rhinestone in the middle.

12. On the wrong side, glue the second circle with a fastener on the base.
Be sure to spray the flower with hairspray on both sides so that it does not lose its shape during use.

Kanzashi flower with sharp petals is ready!
And here we get such beauty!
These flowers can be used to decorate elastic bands, hairpins or brooches, as in our case! Create with pleasure!

I wish you creative success!
