Four nights in the forest In the Urals, four-year-old Dima miraculously survived in the wild

The day before the child came to rest with his parents. The family pitched a tent, spent the night, and in the morning the father and son went for firewood. The boy quickly got tired and wanted to return to his mother. Dad let his son go alone, considering that 100 meters is a short distance. The boy has not been seen since.

When the parents realized that the child was missing, they spent an hour trying to find him on their own. In particular, they managed to learn from the fishermen that the boy approached someone else's tent, mistaking it for his own, but when he realized that he was mistaken, he went back into the forest. After that, the parents turned to law enforcement agencies for help.

The search activities that lasted all night, unfortunately, have not yet been successful, although while patrolling the water area of the Reftinskoye reservoir and the forest park zone, traces of children's shoes were found, similar to the traces of the boots of the missing baby. Now four service-search dogs are working on them. Also, searches have been activated in the nearest horticultural associations, - said the official representative of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate for the Sverdlovsk Region, Valery Gorelykh. - More than 300 people are involved in the operation, including 150 police officers from Asbest and Sukhoi Log, more than 100 rescuers and volunteers (search teams Sokol and Lisa Alert). A quadrocopter with a thermal imager is also used, which examines the territory from a bird's eye view.

Additional forces were sent to the search area, 50 cadets of the Ural State Fire Service Institute. Footprints, similar to the footprints of a child, break off at a small swamp about six kilometers from the place of the loss. Now divers have been deployed there to survey the area. Yesterday, all participants in the search operation covered 25 square kilometers, divers checked 1,200 square meters of the coastal zone, the Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Emergency Situations added.

To remove suspicion from the parents of the child, the detectives checked their testimony on a polygraph. The device showed that the mother and father were not involved in the disappearance. The boy's mother, according to the police, works as a junior teacher in a kindergarten. The father has several convictions and works at a local poultry farm. Search activities are under the personal control of the leadership of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region. Despite the fact that there is no reliable data on the death of the boy, the ICR opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence).

Taking into account the young age of the missing person, his long absence, as well as weather factors, the possibility of a tragic outcome cannot be ruled out. As part of an initiated criminal case, investigators have the opportunity to carry out a wider range of actions aimed at the most thorough clarification of the circumstances of the incident. In addition, the initiation of a criminal case is due to the need to intensify search activities, commented in the TFR in the Sverdlovsk region. - An inspection of the place of loss has already been carried out, the place of residence of the child in the village of Reftinsky has been conducted, his parents, other relatives, neighbors, employees of the kindergarten he visits, as well as a number of citizens who were on the shore of the reservoir at the time of the disappearance of the child, have been interviewed. So far, it has not been possible to identify the fishermen to whom the boy came out of the forest, mistaking their tent for his own. According to preliminary information, there were five fishermen, they arrived in two Toyota cars and camped with tents on the opposite bank from the children's camp "Iskorka".

Four-year-old Dima Peskov, who disappeared on June 10 in the forest near the Reftinskoye reservoir in the Sverdlovsk region, was found alive, according to the website of the regional department of the TFR.

Volunteers of the search and rescue squad were the first to announce the discovery of the child. "Lisa Alert", then the information was confirmed by the police.

On the morning of June 14, the child was found alive, but in serious condition, the TFR reported. The boy was at a power pylon, about seven kilometers from the place of his disappearance. Now the child is being taken to the hospital, he is receiving the necessary assistance.

On the fact of the disappearance of the child, investigators opened a criminal case under the article "Causing death by negligence." Despite the fact that the boy was found, the investigation of the case continues - a forensic medical examination will establish the degree of harm caused to the child's health.

More than 50 people have now been interrogated as witnesses - the child's relatives, his neighbors, employees of the kindergarten he attends, as well as fishermen who were on the banks of the reservoir on the day the boy disappeared. More than 10 inspections of the scene of the incident were carried out in the case - the place of residence of the child, the family's route from home to the place of rest, the place where the family set up a tent, the place where the fishermen stop, the place where traces were found in the forest, etc.). Investigators are investigating the causes and conditions that contributed to the emergence of a situation in which the life and health of a young child were put under real threat.

In May 2016, Komsomolskaya Pravda wrote, citing the curator of the Lisa Alert search team in the Sverdlovsk Region, that every month they receive more than six applications for missing children in the region. Some children are found within a day, others are searched for months. If we talk about Russia as a whole, then about 50 children disappear every day, of which one in four is either not found or found dead, the Sokol PSO said. The leaders of the search teams recommend that parents never leave the child unattended.

500 people were looking for Dima Peskov in the Sverdlovsk region

On June 14, a boy was found 10 kilometers from the Reftinskoye reservoir, who was searched for five days. Four-year-old Dima Peskov disappeared on June 10 and spent four nights in the forest. Law enforcement agencies, rescuers, volunteers and local residents were involved in the search for the child - about 500 people in total. As a result, volunteer Pavel Karpenko found the exhausted baby eight kilometers from the place of disappearance.

On June 10, four-year-old Dima Peskov, along with his parents, rested on the banks of the Reftinskoye reservoir. The family pitched a tent and planned to spend the entire weekend on the pond. The father and son went to the forest, but after ten meters, according to the parents, the boy wanted to return. The father let his son go to the tent, thinking that he could find it on his own. However, the child got lost.

Traces broke off near the swamp

On the same day, several dozen Sverdlovsk rescuers, police officers and volunteers of the Liza Alert search squad moved out to search for Dima Peskov. At the same time, a tragic version of events began to develop - rescue divers began to explore the coastal zone of the Reftinskoye reservoir.

“The personnel of the district commissioners, the patrol service and the inspectors of the PDN and the detectives of the criminal investigation department were alerted. A police dog handler with a service-search German shepherd named Rex was also sent there. 35 police officers, specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as volunteers are involved in the search for the boy. Detectives of the criminal investigation department are working out various versions, including that the baby could go the other way and get lost. It could also slide down to the reservoir: the descent there is about two meters,” Valery Gorelykh, the official representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region, said on June 10.

The investigating authorities opened a case under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence). This made it possible to apply a wider range of measures aimed at finding the boy and establishing the circumstances of his disappearance. During the day, 25 square kilometers on land and 1,200 square meters on the reservoir were examined.

Swamp, bear, fishermen

On June 11, the search area was increased. Six kilometers from the coast, footprints similar to children's were found, which ended near a small swamp.

A bear came out to one of the search parties and reared up. Rescuers and dog handlers went to this area along with colleagues from other law enforcement agencies and representatives of the hunting area.

“In addition, detectives from the criminal investigation department established the identity of the fishermen, whom the boy approached on the day of the emergency. They confirmed that the child had left them in the opposite direction from his tent. At the direction of the leadership of the police headquarters, additional forces were sent to the scene from the territorial police departments of Bogdanovich, Kamyshlov and Pyshma rural,” Valery Gorelykh said on June 12.

On the third day, the search group was increased to 500 people. At the same time, Dima's parents passed a polygraph test for the second time, which showed that they were not lying.

While the rescue operation was going on, thousands of residents of the Urals offered their help in searching for the child, some signed up as a volunteer, others offered food and useful things.

eight kilometers

On the fifth day of the search, a message was received from the regional police headquarters about the found child.

“This morning, one of the search teams near the power lines and the swamp found the missing four-year-old Dima,” Valery Gorelykh, official representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region, told MK-Ural. “He is alive, but in an exhausted state.”

Then came the details. The child was found eight kilometers from the parents' tent. Members of the group, which included volunteer Pavel Karpenko, who discovered the boy, carried Dima in their arms to the Iskorka recreation center, where an operational headquarters had been operating since June 10. After that, according to the press secretary of the Sverdlovsk Ministry of Health, Konstantin Shestakov, the boy was taken to the CSTO N1 by helicopter of the territorial center for disaster medicine.

Doctors suspected the boy had pneumonia. In addition, several ticks were removed from him, which were sent to the laboratory to be tested for infections.

"I'm sorry we couldn't find you sooner"

After the news about the found Dima appeared, words of gratitude rained down on the search participants.

“It is indicative how many ordinary people from the Urals came out in search, how many people express their readiness to help the child and his family now. This year I have declared the Year of Volunteers. And this situation shows that volunteer forces need to be supported, to cherish the readiness of Sverdlovsk residents to unite, to talk as much as possible about people who are ready to put things aside in order to help a loved one. After all, the streets should be named after them,” said Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuyvashev.

Mikhail Borodin, head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region, will apply for awarding state awards to citizens who have distinguished themselves most in the search for four-year-old Dima. This was announced by the official representative of the police headquarters Valery Gorelykh.

“Boy, you survived all this, I can imagine how it is .... I walked in this forest alone, almost at night, I was creepy. But you did it, I hope now you will be even stronger, healthier. We were close to you, I'm sorry we couldn't find you earlier. Get well!" - wrote Artem Chazov.

There are many such messages. Among them, one stands out - one of the girls wrote that she was going to name her son, who would be born in a few months, in honor of the volunteer Pavel Karpenko, who found Dima Peskov.

“This is the instinct of self-preservation”: the parents of 4-year-old Dima suggested how their son could survive in the forest

Now the boy is in the hospital, nothing threatens his life.

Little Dima, who disappeared at the Reftinsky reservoir on Saturday, June 10, was found alive, according to the Sokol and Liza Alert search teams.

- CHILD FOUND! ALIVE!! Thank you all for your help, we couldn't have done it without you. The boy was found 7 km from the headquarters. His condition is serious, now he is being evacuated from the place, - they wrote in the detachment.

The information was confirmed by the Sverdlovsk police and the Investigative Committee of the TFR.

- Today, during the search activities at the place of the possible location of the child, one of the search groups found 4-year-old Dima. It was found in the area of power lines, not far from the swamp. The boy is in an exhausted state, the issue of evacuating the child by helicopter is now being resolved, - Valery Gorelykh, press secretary of the department, told E1.RU.

The baby was brought to the Asbest hospital, where he was given first aid, and then taken by helicopter to Yekaterinburg. We are live streaming the rescue of the boy.

The boy's father is now on his way to the place where the child was found.

“I’ll hug him now, and then I’ll thank everyone who participated in the search!” Thank you all very much,” Andrey Peskov said.

The regional Ministry of Health reported that Dima would be taken to the Asbest hospital by ambulance. The children's resuscitation team of the Disaster Medicine Center went there. Doctors will decide whether they will provide medical assistance to the boy on the spot or whether he needs to be transported to one of the hospitals in Yekaterinburg.

“So far, all that is known is that the condition is serious,” said Konstantin Shestakov, spokesman for the Ministry of Health. - This, of course, is not surprising. But the doctors have not examined him yet, so all the details later.

Dima Peskov was found 7 km from his parents' tent.

Eyewitnesses report that an ambulance arrived in the forest where Dima was found.

Dozens of people meet Dima, thousands more are happy for him on social networks.

Baby Dima was brought by helicopter to Yekaterinburg.

Dima was carried in his arms from the helicopter to the resuscitation vehicle. He is conscious.

Dima was taken away in an intensive care vehicle with flashing lights and special signals on to the 9th Children's Hospital. He will have to drive through traffic jams for another 25-30 minutes.

The regional Ministry of Health reported that Dima was already in the emergency room of the CSTO No. 1. They decided not to take him to the 9th hospital.

Psychologist Anna Kiryanova spoke about the situation with the lost Dima on her Facebook page:

"The boy was found on the fifth day.

Found good people, thanks to them. May the boy recover, and those who saved be happy and healthy always, all their lives; and don't let your kids go. Don't lose sight of it. Children disappear instantly, in a second - he was there, now he is not! And there are a lot of evil people with sweets and kittens - and I personally don't give a damn - sorry for being rude - on the advice to "let one go", "accustom to independence", "unhook from your skirt". Let them teach and unhook their own, although it would not be necessary either. A child is a child; He didn't even have a fully developed brain, you know? And the fact that he judiciously promises not to trust anyone else or not to open the door means absolutely nothing. And most of the children who reasonably explained that it was impossible to leave with strangers, left with strangers - this was such an experiment. Because kids are gullible. And they can simply get lost and disappear - they are poorly oriented, children. And they can step under the car, looking at something. Well, let them accuse me of hyperprotection - this is nothing. In the wrong advice - and this is nothing. The safety of the child is what matters. And irresponsible advice - the advice of those who never lived on the outskirts of an industrial city; I have never been in the Ural forest or in our village. Lead the child by the hand as long as you can. Don't let go if you can. And a hundred times check those to whom you trust the child. And you can scold me for unprofessional advice - I'm a mother. And I love children. More than those who accustom them to misunderstood independence. And he lets go to the store across the street at the age of five. Or with pies to grandmother through a terrible forest ... "

At that moment, Dima Peskov was examined by the chief physician of the CSTO No. 1, Oleg Averyanov. The child is now in the department of anesthesiology and resuscitation. After the examination, the doctors will talk about his condition.

Dima is now being examined by doctors from the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1.

The chief physician of the CSTO No. 1, Oleg Averyanov, talks about Dima's condition:

- There is serious hypothermia and severe stress. He talks, but with difficulty. The boy is willing to drink, they put a dropper, we will slowly feed him.

The head physician said that Dima had general hypothermia. He caught a cold at night. The boy was very badly bitten by mosquitoes, especially his face. Also, the face was sunburnt. The head physician of the hospital noted that the boy was saved by the warm jacket he was wearing when he got lost.

“There is a risk of pneumonia and kidney failure,” the doctor added. - We will give the ticks to the laboratory for research, the boy was injected with anti-tick immunoglobulin. We'll see if it freezes or not.

Oleg Averyanov also said that the situation would have been much worse if Dima had not drunk water from swamps and lakes.

At best, Dima will have to spend several days in intensive care.

Dima's father left Asbest for Yekaterinburg - to the hospital to see his son.

By the way, the National Guard reported that all five days radio communication with rescuers, volunteers and employees of the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Russian Guard was provided by the company commander of the Asbestov Regional Military District, police lieutenant Dmitry Yazov. Thank you, Dmitry!

The guys from the Sokol rescue squad told how they found the boy - right to the minute. They say that Pavel, who was the first to find little Dima, first transmitted on the radio: "I have a load of 200 here," and after a few seconds he got in touch again and shouted "Alive!"

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk Region reported that active participants in the search operation and volunteer Pavel Karpenko, who discovered the baby, will be presented with medals of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

Mom and dad Dima Peskov came to the hospital to see their son.

The parents said that they do not yet know what condition their son is in - they have not yet talked with the doctors. Andrey and Alfiya are now heading to the ward for the child.

“He never got lost, never ran away, I can’t even understand why he ran away,” said Dima’s mother. He never walked alone, only with me by the hand. I have always believed that he is alive. I had the feeling all five days that he was alive.

Parents believe that Dima's self-preservation instinct worked, so he guessed to eat grass and eventually survived. How to act if Dima gets lost, the parents never discussed with him, because they could not even imagine that this would happen.

Parents have not seen Dima since the very morning - from the moment he was taken by helicopter from Asbest and brought to Yekaterinburg.

Poems are already dedicated to little Dima. In the group "People's Television of Asbest" in "Odnoklassniki" they published a poem about saving the boy.

Like the worst dream
There is a picture in the eyes -
Alone in the woods
Swamps impenetrable,
Only the sun was warmed
And with a pure soul
Gone for miles
I was filled with the river.
And quietly falling asleep
A cry flew through the forest:
"He's too small," they shouted
From broadcast screens.
In bottomless despair
In such big eyes
Sorrow and pain splashed,
Life before ... And then fear.
He walked, not knowing the roads,
God willing, go ahead.
Found! Alive! Boy!
Bon Voyage.
Live and make dad happy
And you love mom
And remember that date
When they found you!

And a resident of Yekaterinburg, Olga, even decided to name her son in honor of Pavel Karpenko, a volunteer who found little Dima this morning. She wrote about this on Pasha's VKontakte page.

About how Pasha discovered the boy,.

Our correspondent said that Dima's parents left the hospital. They did not want to communicate with journalists and left through the back door.

About the happy ending of the rescue operation, which lasted more than four days. All this time, four-year-old Dima wandered through the windfall and swamps alone, without food and water, without the help of adults. Hundreds of people were looking for him - professionals and volunteers, on the ground and from the air, combing meter by meter. Found seven kilometers from the place of disappearance.

He is ready to hug everyone and say thank you to everyone. For a son. alive and unharmed. But the main character here for all the search parties is Pavel, he was the first to discover the child.

“Today I came at the call of my heart. We drank coffee, gathered in a group, went out with a group,” says Pavel Karpenko.

"Boy! Thank you so much! I am a father! Thank you very much!" - thanks Andrey Peskov.

The first footage of the rescued boy. Four-year-old Dima is transferred to an ambulance. Frightened, exhausted, he was found barely alive. Usually agile and talkative, but not only to strangers, but even to his parents, he could not say a word.

“At first he only mumbled, didn’t talk,” says the boy’s mother, Alevtina Shainurova.

Four days without food or water. Around the swamp. The forest is impenetrable. Special equipment, and that slips. And wild animals all around. You can't get far without a gun. At night, a maximum of plus five. It rained intermittently. I had to sleep almost in puddles.

“His temperature is normal, and oxygen in the blood is low, most likely pneumonia, his lungs are all wheezing,” says the doctor.

Plus it's tick season. Among the rescuers and journalists, the boy cannot be seen. But those who saw him closer, assure: there is no living place on the child. “All in ticks,” they say.

An adult can hardly survive in such extreme conditions. And here is a child!

“The fifth day, like hungry. He ate some pestles, drank water from the swamp. He supported himself, of course. I ate grass, ”says the father of the child, Andrei Peskov.

At the weekend, the Peskov family rested on the Reftinskoye reservoir. Dima went with his father to the forest for firewood, but immediately became capricious and asked his mother, who remained in the tent, 100 meters from them. Dad let him go, thinking that the parking lot was within easy reach, the son would not get lost. Nobody has seen Dima since that moment.

“More than 50 people were interrogated as witnesses. Relatives, employees of the kindergarten he attends, as well as fishermen who were on the shore of the reservoir on the day the boy disappeared, ”said Maxim Chalkov, assistant head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region.

More than 500 people searched for the boy. Drones tried to detect it from the air. Divers examined the bottom of the reservoir. Rescuers, policemen and just volunteers.

They combed the shore around the perimeter. Looked out for a place around the tent. The search diameter had to be expanded to four kilometers. As a result, Dima was found much further.

This is not the only case when a child was actually born in a shirt. Seven-year-old Vitya from the Kursk region went to his grandmother in a neighboring village, as a result, he wandered through the forest for three days. Rescuers were brought to him by a mongrel, with whom he set off.

Thanks to the puppy, four-year-old Karina from Yakutia also survived. The dog saved the girl from the cold for two weeks in the forest, while they were looking for her.

Dima Peskov will remain in the hospital in the coming days. According to doctors, his condition is serious, but nothing threatens his life. He will move away from the shock and then he will be able to tell how he managed to survive.
