Early Saturday morning. Hundreds of tall pretty girls flock to the Novinsky Passage shopping center, where Moscow contestants are selected. The young ladies are located on leather sofas in the hall and get acquainted.

My new girlfriends ended up with pretty impressive bottom 90s and small tops. In general, it turned out that the volumes of most of those who want to become models clearly do not meet the requirements. Just pretty girls with chubby knees and mouth-watering priests. Good for life, not so good for the podium.

And here is our "finest hour". We were told to split into groups. I ended up in the first one. They lined up in front of the red carpet marking the podium. "The first one went!"

When it came to me, suddenly even my sense of humor, with which I had hitherto looked at what was happening, disappeared somewhere. My knees trembled treacherously - still, never in my life I had to roam in shorts and a bra in front of unfamiliar men with cameras.

First, I was filmed against the background of the wall at the beginning of the "podium". Then it was necessary to walk in front of the camera along the red carpet: back and forth. Well, I went, swinging my hips with all my might. The amplitude made me and those around me laugh: the photographers and the jury rolled with laughter. So, here it is, a turn ... I remember how Adriana Lima walks there on TV, I smile ... Phew! All exhausted!

Day two, the most nervous

On Sunday they called me: I went to the final casting Elite Model Look Russia, which will take place in two hours in the same "Novinsky Passage"! I come - surprisingly, not a single familiar face. There are tall, slender, very beautiful girls around, who were cast in other cities and from modeling agencies - there were also local competitions there. And how did I get here?

We are again sent to change into bikinis. If at the first casting the hair was asked to be put in a bun, and makeup was banned, today makeup artists and hairdressers work with us.

Scouts from France came to evaluate us, including the International Scouting Director of the Elite agency, Mikaela Goddard-Kensada. Of the sixty-four models, sixteen should remain.

We sit huddled on the cold benches of Novinsky. Interestingly, in the chatter models do not bring up the topic of diets. Everyone is proud of their naturally thin bodies. I don't always like talking.

The owners of angelic faces are constantly whispering, wanting a beautiful rival to stumble on the podium. And to discuss who's butt sagged, who's legs are thick, and who's bones stick out - generally a sacred thing. But not all of them are, of course.

My mother worked as a model until the age of 22, - says Alina Slutskaya, one of the most charming participants. - And then I was born. I am now only thirteen years old, so my mother was at first against my participation in the competition. And then it lit up...

Alina is the youngest among all. She will be fourteen only in a week, and the age limit is from 14 to 22. She was admitted to the competition as an exception.

Everyone is more afraid today than yesterday. There are two calm ones: me and 22-year-old Yana. She is a professional model.

I work in Paris, Milan, London, and I came here just for the fun,” she says. And I don't really expect to win. We need young people here.

When the French jury appeared, we were lined up again and allowed to pace in front of them. Someone was turned around and asked to walk again and again, the volumes of some were measured with a centimeter tape. I tripped a couple of times as I walked down the red carpet. When everyone passed, Michaela divided us into groups of 16 people, looked at everyone again and encouraged us with a short speech:

Tomorrow at 11 you will arrive for the final photo shoot and press conference, where the 16 finalists will be announced,” she said in English. - But remember! You are the most beautiful! You are all winners!

Day three. The finalists were already known

On the third day, we were changed into bikinis and a t-shirt with the contest logos. Some girls were caught from the crowd, they did their makeup, styled their hair. Then these same girls were dressed in chic little black dresses and placed in the order in which they would have to appear before the journalists. So even before the official announcement of the results at a press conference, we became aware of the names of the winners. Among them was 13-year-old Alina Slutskaya.

Alas, your obedient servant was not among those who reached the final. Which is to be expected. Everyone has their own place in this life.

The next time I saw my new acquaintances was on September 29, when I came to the final of the competition. Elite Model Look Russia as a journalist. The winners of the Russian stage of the competition were 14-year-old brunette Nika Kushe, a Russian woman living in Prague, Permian Olga Vasilyeva and Ksenia Telegina from Volgograd.
