You know, you get attached to things and it seems that there is no better thing in the world. And you have already gone through fire, and water, and copper pipes with this. But then your pet starts to act up the mechanism or the material becomes thinner or something else. Replacement becomes necessary. After the old and very beloved watch was repaired several times, the husband nevertheless decided to replace it. Long chose in stores. Everyone didn't like it. Now the model, then the color, then the strap is not the same ... In general, solitaire did not work out, as they say. I suggested that he look for watches in online stores. And after several evenings spent at the computer, he showed me his find. He looked after this GUANQIN watch on the Aliexpress trading platform.

The seller is willing to contact, quickly and fully answers questions. The order was sent to them within two days after payment. Delivery due to the huge flow of holiday correspondence was quite long, almost 1.5 months. The watch was packed in a thick cardboard box. The watch itself was in a blue cardboard box with the inscription GUANQIN. Included with the watch, the seller put a regulator for the bracelet, a warranty card with a number, instructions (in Chinese and English), a napkin with a logo and a small pillow on which the watch was fixed.

The dial is about 4 cm in diameter. It has Arabic numerals. Hands: hour, minute and second. The number is visible in the window, the numbers are quite large and clearly visible. The left subdial shows the days of the week, written in an abbreviated version in English. On the right sub-dial, the months are also written in English. All dials work. The seller promises sapphire glass on the dial. This is hardly the case. If you look closely at the picture, you can see a deep scratch on the glass, which appeared during operation.
Running accuracy. The husband says that in a week there is a discrepancy of about a minute.
Automatic plant. If the watch is on the wrist all day, then the winding is preserved until the next morning, that is, there is no need to start the watch in the morning. There are two buttons near the winding wheel. The top one sets the date, the bottom one sets the month.

The bracelet consists of links, if desired, you can reduce it by removing one or more links. The fastener is double, converges inside. It has the company logo on it. The width of the bracelet is 2 cm, the length when buttoned is about 18 cm.

Today, comrades, we have another review of watches from China. This is Guanqing. The model is called GJ16019 Tourbillon. Tourbillon, of course, is not here - only an open balance sheet, stylized as a tourbillon.

Guanqin is a factory watch, which is reflected not only in the form of a normal type of instructions and a guarantee with an individual serial number (the seller even erased a special tape - like on instant lotteries, under which the number appeared), but, most importantly, quality. However, first things first.

The watch is decorated in the form of an Asian luxury - here is a tourbillon, and shiny stones, and a day-night indicator. Some people like this design, some don't. Personally, I prefer a strict and moderate style, but this is a matter of personal taste. Nevertheless, the watch does not look vulgar and cheap - on the contrary, it is a very, very serious and high-quality product.

The quality is felt even when you take the watch out of the box. They are heavy, steel, the weight is pleasantly felt on the hand.

Steel case with a diameter of 45 mm, strap width 22 mm. From lug to lug - 52 mm, so the watch does not look large at all, rather neat - thanks to short lugs. The case is very interesting: it is rounded on the side, and the welt is made, as it were, separately. The lugs are slightly arched outward, so that the watch looks a bit vintage. Processing and polishing is accurate, there are no deviations. The glass is sapphire, convex, there is no anti-reflective here or it is very weak, which is noticeable in the photographs.

Bolted back cover. The crown is not screwed down, so the water resistance is formal, probably 3 ATM. Self-winding mechanism. Unfortunately, the manufacturer is unknown to me. The mechanism is clean with some work and blue bolts (probably painted). Rotor with company logo and beautiful engraving. Very good and I would say unexpected. It starts smoothly and confidently, the arrows are also translated smoothly. Everything looks and works quite solidly.

The dial is made richly, but at the same time very high quality and neat. The hands are steel, they are not flat, but have a triangular shape, which adds volume. The open balance is beautiful thanks to the good workmanship of the mechanism. The day-night indicator is very well made, it is somewhat recessed into the case, you can feel the depth, while the indicator itself is beautiful. Numbers are also good - they are steel, glued. Although they should have been glued a little more carefully. Shiny stones are zircon or just a false diamond. Made neatly. The logo is good. but could be a little more elaborate. The dial itself is made with an ornament in the form of rhombuses. In general, the dial looks very serious and of high quality.

The leatherette strap somewhat spoils the overall splendor - it is not of the best quality. I would replace it with something more in line with the quality of the watch itself. But the bucket is not bad.

The cost of the watch is about 80 dollars. For the money, the watch offers an excellent case and ornate dial. Apparently, and a good mechanism, but it takes time to test it. This watch is made on the same level as the Compadre we reviewed earlier, although I would have put the Compadre a little higher - those watches were just perfect. Guanqin is worth the money, it's a good inexpensive watch.

I have no significant complaints about the watch, except for the brand name. It is hard for a Russian person to perceive it. This brand has long been praised on the controversial Getat website, but it was the name that kept me from buying it.
Therefore, when they offered a watch for review, I remembered my long-standing interest and agreed.

The store sent the parcel, packing it in a postal package. The box with the clock lay inside, wrapped in several layers of foamed polyethylene. There is a considerable risk that the box will be wrinkled along the way, if this is important for someone, keep in mind.

Often we see a beautiful picture of a Chinese watch in a store, but in practice we get a completely budget product. In this case, there was no need to be disappointed.
The size of the watch is modest by today's standards. Case diameter 40 mm, with crown 43.1 mm. I prefer a size of 42-43mm, but in this case, because of the protruding buttons, the watch does not feel small.


The case is polished very high quality, almost mirror-like. At first, I even doubted that it was made of stainless steel, it seemed to be chrome plating. But I showed the watchmaker, he said it was steel.


Case height with lugs 47.3 mm.


The thickness of the watch is 10 mm.


The glass is flat, protrudes slightly above the watch case.


Crown diameter 5.9 mm, buttons 3.9 mm.


Matte black dial. The logo, hands and hour markers are silver.
There are three additional dials, their surface is decorated with guilloche in the form of concentric circles.


In general, I do not like watches with additional dials. They disrupt the readability of the readings and often spoil the appearance. But in this case, they are not so conspicuous and do not annoy me.
A few words about functionality. The watch has a chronograph function. The lower subdial counts seconds, the left subdial counts minutes. Stops the countdown by short pressing any button. If you press the lower button longer, then the second hand on the lower dial quickly scrolls to the starting position.
The right subdial is linked to the date function of this watch and shows the time in 24 hour format. Set automatically when the correct time is set.
If the watch looks very good from the front side, then the back cover is framed with unexpectedly huge clumsy letters.


And the inscriptions are unusual. Usually, when they say that the case is steel, they write - All steel. And then Steel Watch. Water Resistant has been oddly cut too.
In short, they would either write better adequate inscriptions smaller, or nothing at all. It's good that no one sees the “back” of the clock, except for the owner.
Let's move on to the bracelet.


It's just luxurious for a watch in this price range. Cast and made of stainless steel.


Let's prove our words and then we will continue to consider it. To be honest, it makes an unusually dull ringing and it seemed to me that it was made of chrome alloy.
On my wrist with a girth of 20 cm, the bracelet turned out to be a little big. I took out the tool that came with the kit and tried to squeeze the pin out of the link of the bracelet to shorten it. But it didn’t work out, a tool from another set helped me.


To get rid of doubts about the material, I took out a needle file.


Slightly sharpened the removed link. It really is steel.


The bracelet consists of a combination of links. The outer ones are polished to a mirror, the inner ones have a longitudinal satin surface treatment.


On the reverse side, the links are processed somewhat rougher.

So, inspection of the insides satisfied me. It is a pity that not Japan, but so good. It's time to close the lid, and here an ambush awaited me. No matter how hard I pressed with my hands, nothing happened. I tried to use a press from the juicer bed, but the size of the platform did not fit. I had to go to the watchmaker. He said that the watch is not cheap and such a battery is expensive (he thought I changed it myself). And you see, under this pretext, he ripped off 2 times more money from me for closing the lid with a press than from my friend for replacing the battery in Eyki. He also asked if the case was made of stainless steel.
However, the watch is very weighty, and most likely my doubts are groundless.


What is the review of the watch without measuring the accuracy of the rate? No.
That's what made me doubt the nobility of the origin of the mechanism even before disassembly, so this is the problem of setting the exact time. The hands move very easily with the crown, and when it is returned to its place, they easily move for one minute. I tried to set the time to 12:00, 13:00, etc. and see for yourself when it happened.

The clock is 13 seconds late. Total for the month will be approximately 26 seconds. Not to say that the result is very good, but quite within the normal range for inexpensive quartz. Oddly enough, among the watches tested for accuracy, the best results are usually with 10 dollar watches with Ali. Some kind of evil irony, watches made of cheap materials with unknown mechanisms run with an error of 2-5 seconds / month. And watches from the price range of $ 30-60 show a result in the region of 30 seconds / month. But these are my personal observations.
On the page of the watch in the store, the description states sapphire crystal. I don't have a diamond tester and don't want to rub the glass with a needle file. Just a drop of water and see if it balls up.


Wow! I have been deceived a couple of times about sapphire and this is the first time I see these balls.




Tried tilting the clock. The water is like glued on.




Since there is no special coating on the glass, I believe it is a sapphire.
I really like watches with a good phosphor on the dial. Unfortunately, budget Japanese watches, and most Chinese ones, cannot please with a bright and long-lasting glow in the dark. Our hero could not surprise us with anything special.


The lume is almost invisible on the hour markers. The arrows after highlighting with a flashlight glow brightly for about 5 minutes, then subside. However, eyes accustomed to the dark, the glow is noticeable all night until morning.
In low light conditions, the metallic sheen of the hands and hour markers helps a lot, so at dusk the readings are clearly visible even without a phosphor.
It's time to show how the watch looks on the wrist. My wrist circumference is 20 cm. With the out of the box bracelet, the watch was too loose. I removed one link, now they sit a little cramped, the finger under the bracelet crawls with difficulty.










Now a comparison with my other stainless steel watches.


A clear illustration of why we buy Chinese watches. The stainless steel orient was $60, a good reliable movement, but a stamped bracelet and weak mineral glass. A Chinese watch with cast bracelets cost me $30-40, but time will tell how reliable they are.
