How to make animals from long latex balloons with your own hands (diagrams). Twisting - needlework with balloons Twisting patterns for children and beginners instructions

Elongated balloons are a great material for twisting. They make different figurines.

Aerodesign is all kinds of crafts made from balloons. You will need to arm yourself with step-by-step instructions and you can start creating.

unusual flowers

Floral elements are easy to execute. For the flower you will need two balloons.

For crafts from balls and threads, useful tips will come in handy. The green balloon does not need to be fully inflated. Leave about 5 cm uninflated and tie off the thread. Now indent from the place tied with thread to twist it. Thus, the center is formed at the flower.

Below the stem, make two symmetrical leaves.

Having prepared the stem, you can begin to model the bud. To do this, lock the second ball into a ring. The resulting workpiece is twisted in the shape of a figure eight. Each of the rings must be twisted several times.

At the last stage of modeling, the bud is connected to the stem.

A photo of balloon crafts clearly demonstrates what beautiful decorations for the interior you can make with your own hands.

When there is free time and a desire to realize creative potential, then feel free to choose more complex designs for homemade products.

So that new schemes do not cause difficulties, it is recommended to watch the master class "Crafts from balls".

Modeling allows you to quickly make a memorable gift for a birthday person at any age. The flower arrangement can be tied with a ribbon or placed in a large basket.

Long balls for making a tiger cub

Orange balls are a suitable material for making a tiger cub. To make this craft, you will need two inflated balloons. You will need to perform twisting 3 varieties.

The result should be bubbles of various sizes. Twisting is done according to the instructions, and they should start from the ponytail tied with a thread. You need to twist in one direction, while it is important not to let the tail out of your hands so that the ball does not unwind.

Following a schematic image, mastering the technique of creating a tiger cub on your own, it turns out pretty quickly.

First, 11 bubbles are formed, which correspond to the parts of the body of the future product. To get the head, twist the bubbles between 2 and 3, as well as between 7 and 8. Using the first bubble, you can make a mouth with a nose. To do this, it is threaded into the head.

Now the second bubble is wrapped around 8 with 9, and the tiger has a nose and a mouth. Small ears are formed by twisting 4 and 6 bubbles.

Note!

For the body of the tiger, take another ball. Connect its ends to make a ring. It is folded in half and divided into 3 parts by twisting.

Markers will help make the toy more attractive. Decorate the tiger cub, and the original craft is ready.

This beautiful toy can be used as a decoration for a kindergarten or for a birthday party.

Don't stop there

Needlewomen continue to come up with more and more new schemes. Crafts from balls with their own hands can be quite complex figures. Such decorations can transform the interior of the room.

Note!

The dog figurine is one of the most beloved in twisting. In order not to be mistaken, it is enough to arm yourself with step-by-step instructions with a photo. You can also look at examples of finished work.

How to make a balloon dog

Knowing how to make crafts from balloons, you will quickly make a new toy for a child or an original interior decoration. Use helpful tips, especially if you've never twisted before.

The following tips will help you make a doggy:

  • Inflate the balloons to be used as the base.
  • Try to keep all twisting movements in the same direction.
  • You should not make great efforts when tying - the ball may burst.
  • When you want to divide the sausages into approximately the same parts, visually determine the boundaries of the segments for yourself.
  • Buy high-quality balloons that won't burst while twisting.

Simulation Technology

  • For crafts, there is no need to use threads. It is recommended to use a special ball here.
  • The toy begins to be created from the head. Tying balloons is easy, you just need to perform 3 or 4 turns. The size of the head corresponds to a segment of 5 cm.
  • Next, the ears of the toy (5 cm) are twisted, first separately, and then together.
  • The size of the neck can vary from 6 to 8 cm.
  • The front legs are made 7 cm each. They are tied, folded together and the lock is scrolled 2 turns.
  • We make the body of the dog. The body length is about 10 cm.
  • We make the dog's hind legs, each of which is 7 cm.
  • Making the tail is the final step.
  • Decorate the muzzle of the dog with markers.

Draw the toy's eyes and nose with a mustache.

Note!

You will need:

Tools

Before you start making a variety of models and figures, you need to choose high-quality and durable balls - this is one of the most important points in our business!

You will also need a two-way pump. Among the important additional tools that may also come in handy are scissors, a small tube tube and a marker.

Also, before you start working with the ball (inflate, twist, tie), you need to knead it a little.

Stretch it with your hands several times so that the latex warms up a little. As a result, pumping will be much easier.

We inflate, as usual, through the neck. There is a tail left for air to pass through when twisting. The length of the main part depends on what figure we are going to make.

doggy poodle

This is the most popular type of twisting. At one time, such a choice was called a “losharik”.

  1. After the ball is inflated, we make one twist on it - this will be the muzzle.
  2. We fix the first bubble with our fingers, on average its size is 3-4 cm.
  3. Next, we make 5 identical bubbles that will be used to make a muzzle. As a result, in the initial part we will get a certain chain of 5 bubbles. We fold them together and twist them separately, about 3 times. It turned out the face of an animal.
  4. Next, make the legs. But do not forget to leave 12-13 cm for the future neck.
  5. We twist the ball in such a way that a bubble comes out approximately in the center, in other words, a sausage.
  6. Fold it in half vertically, press down both parts and twist them together.
  7. The front legs are already there. Now there is only a place left from which we will make the hind limbs and tail.
  8. Fold the ball in half, follow the proportion and twist the back.

DIY giraffe

We repeat almost the same steps that we described in the previous version. But in this case, the head will be slightly smaller.

Here we leave about 2-3 cm for the muzzle, and we construct it not from 5, as was the case with the dog, but from 4 sausage bubbles.

We make the neck longer, respectively, and the legs. The result is a short body and tail.

Swan: master class

  1. We use most of the ball and make a ring out of it.
  2. Then we take the rest for another ring, but now a little smaller, leaving some room for the neck and head.
  3. The second ring, which is smaller, is pressed into the first.
  4. Then we create the head and neck - this will be a cross between the actions that we performed earlier, making a dog and a giraffe.

You can finish the eyes - for a more spectacular and believable look. For this, a regular marker is suitable.

Performing many actions with twisting and tying, you should not be afraid. The ball is strong and will easily withstand such a load.

How to make a tiger/leopard

On average, we should get 11 pimples or sausages.

And bubbles 4 and 6 will become the ears of the future animal. Next, we create the torso and legs according to the already familiar pattern. The ends of the ball must be tied with a double knot and divided in half.

3. Folded in half, the ball is twisted at the ends. It turns out three compartments. One with a loop and one on each end.

1. Inflate the balloon "sausage", leaving 15-20 cm not inflated, and tie a knot.
2. Start at the dog's head with a knot. Twist three bubbles. Twist the last two together - these will be the ears.
3. Make an 2.5 cm neck and, following it, follow the example of a head with ears, twist the front legs.
4. Make a roughly 10 cm body, followed by the hind legs.
5. Leave a small ball of air at the base of the tail and push the rest of the air to the end of the tail.

1. Twist the first soft bubble 2-3 cm long. This bubble holds the swan's neck in position.
2. Lock both ends of the first bubble in one lock twist.
3. Twist the second bubble about 30 cm long.
4. Lock both ends of the second bubble in one lock twist.
5. Twist the third bubble about 20 cm long.
6. Lock both ends of the third bubble in one lock twist.
7. Push and secure the third bubble through the loop from the second bubble (Pic 8-9). The rest of the balloon will be the fourth bubble, this is the head and neck of the swan. Bend the fourth bubble to form the shape of a swan's neck. The deflated part will be the beak. Draw the eyes with a felt-tip pen.

Undoubtedly, many people love balloons, they cause delight and good mood, but air figures from them look somehow special. The celebration looks more elegant and colorful, and the impressions from it are unforgettable.

Over time, such a direction as twisting appeared - from the English word "twist", which is the modeling of air figures from special balls created specifically for this purpose.

Learn how to twist balloons and create air figures really, you just need to be patient, strong balloons and a special pump. Balloon figures can be a holiday decoration, a gift or a simple decor in the room. It will be especially interesting to learn the art of twisting with children: the process itself will teach perseverance, patience and accuracy, and the result will certainly please the child.

What you need for twisting

You should start by selecting the basic materials that you will need in learning to twist and create figures from long balls. You only need a few items to get started, and after acquiring certain skills, the set can increase:

  • Long balloons or CDM (modeling balloons). The choice of balls must be taken seriously, since the quality and strength of the figure depends on it.
  • A two-way piston pump is an important tool when working with long balloons, because it is almost impossible to inflate strong balloons without a hand pump. Sometimes the pump is sold in a set with a PDM.
  • Scissors, marker and other auxiliary items.

Before inflating a long balloon, it is recommended to knead it a little - stretch it several times with your hands to warm up the latex material, then it will be much easier to work with the balloon.

Rules for strong figures from long balls

After warming up, the ball must be stretched in length and put on the tip of the pump with a hole. Inflate the balloons slowly and evenly. Be sure to leave a small tail so that air goes there and the ball does not burst when twisting, as a rule it is about 10 cm. The thickness of the ball depends on the type of figure, you can follow the step-by-step instructions.

As soon as the ball reaches the desired length and width, it must be carefully removed from the pump and tighten the tip with a knot. Threads for ShDM are not suitable.

An important rule of a strong figure: twist it only in one direction, for example, clockwise. Be sure to hold the twisted places with your fingers, since at any moment the figure can unwind and the time spent on it will be in vain.

Types of twisting

To get an air figure in the form of any animal or flower, a long inflated ball is twisted into bubbles of different lengths, and then connected into a castle. Depending on the type of figure, the following types of twisting are distinguished:

  • Normal twist- twisting a small bubble on a ball. The size of the bubble is determined and squeezed by hand at this distance, then twisted in one direction about 3-4 times. Subsequent bubbles curl in the same direction.
  • Lock twist- fixing 3 consecutive bubbles in a specific figure. 2 extreme bubbles are folded at the place of their connection, then twisted around with the next one in the same place 3-4 times.
  • Twisting with a lock (another way). Two bubbles are twisted and the ball is bent at the place of the last twist, the working part is compressed and the next bubble is outlined and only then twisted together.
  • Twisting with a fold- fixing three consecutive bubbles into a figure, where the two extreme ones are not twisted, but simply bent. The bubble is twisted, the ball is bent and twisted 2-3 times.

Types of twisting can be practiced on balls before the crime of twisting in order to gain skill in manual dexterity. When the twisting technique has been practiced, it will be much easier to understand and follow the instructions for shaping the figures.

Figures from long balloons

Some air figures are not difficult to make, you just need to follow the step-by-step instructions. Also, each figure has its own characteristics, so care and perseverance are required - it may not work right away, but do not despair, twisting loves perseverance.

doggies

The most common long ball figure is the poodle. Making a dog is not difficult, following the instructions below:

  • Inflate the balloon with a pump and leave an uninflated part of about 8 cm.
  • Make three bubbles about 4 cm in size, the first is the muzzle of a poodle, fix it with your fingers (so that it does not unwind).
  • Pull back one bubble and twist the lock.
  • Make three more twists of the same size and twist with a lock so that you get a loop - these are the legs of the poodle.
  • Twist 4 more bubbles.
  • Pull back one bubble, make another lock.
  • It turned out a dog, but turned upside down, it remains to turn the muzzle and raise the tail up - the figure is ready.

If you lower the ears down, and lengthen the body a little, you get a dachshund.

Flowers

Making a flower from long balls is a little more difficult. Here you will need three balls:

  • The shade of the petals: red, pink, orange, white, etc .;
  • The color of the stem and leaf is usually chosen green, but you can experiment;
  • Flower center color: yellow or orange.

It is better to start creating a flower with petals.

  • Inflate a bright balloon with a pump, leave a 3-4 cm tail, tie a knot in the hole.
  • Close the beginning of the ball and its end - tie them to make a circle.
  • Fold the circle in half and twist three pairs of bubbles so that it looks like a double row of linked sausages.
  • Now you need to fold this bundle with an accordion, as shown in Diagram 5-6.
  • Squeeze with your fingers in the middle and twist into a common twist, you get 6 petals.
  • You can proceed to the stem, inflate the entire green balloon with a pump, but do not make it too tight, because there will be two more leaves on the stem.
  • About 10 cm should be retreated from the knotted knot and twisted, and then the resulting twist should be bent in half and twisted again, so that a double twist is obtained.
  • You can insert the resulting twists of the stem into the petals, or you can inflate a yellow ball (or another color) and make a core out of it, after cutting off the excess part after twisting.

A round ball is also suitable for the core, if it is not fully inflated either, and fastened with a regular knot to the stem.

  • To create leaves on the stem, it is enough to twist with an inflection and align the resulting leaves - the flower is ready.

Bouquets of air flowers look more impressive, they are quite large, so 5-7 of these flowers, tied with a beautiful wide ribbon, will be enough for a holiday.

If you leave the petals at the accordion stage, as in diagram 6 of Figure 4, and then link them to the stem, you will get charming tulips that can be presented on March 8th.

Now there are many variations on how to make flowers from long balls, there are different schemes and methods that are not available to every beginner, but you can easily make charming lotuses or water lilies that will look spectacular in water or on a table.

So, in order to create a beautiful lotus, you will need:

  • Two balls of pink / white / red or other colors - for the petals;
  • One yellow ball for the core;
  • One ball of dark green shade;
  • Pump and scissors.

Before inflating the balloons, they need to be kneaded and pulled a little, because there are many twists for the lotus.

Animals

If you get a dog, you get other little animals. The technique of twisting the figure into a giraffe is very similar to modeling a dog, there are some differences:

  • When making a giraffe, the head needs to be modeled smaller, and only 2-3 cm should be left on the muzzle;
  • After the muzzle there will be not 5 twists, but 4;
  • The neck of the giraffe will be longer and this must be taken into account when twisting;
  • The body will be shorter and the tail smaller.

It is not difficult to model a bunny, the technique is very similar to a dog. For the bunny, you will need one balloon, a pump, and a marker to complete the look.

  • Inflate the balloon with a pump and leave about 8 cm of an uninflated tail.
  • Twist the first bubble, 8 cm long - this is the head of a hare.
  • Twist two more bubbles - these are bunny ears.
  • Twist the next bubble, about 13 cm in size, repeat this action again.
  • Connect the two ends of the chain of the two extreme twists into the lock.
  • Twist the next bubble only 2-3 cm long - this will be the neck of the animal.
  • Further twisting will be performed for the front legs of the hare: twist the bubble about 5 cm, the next 2-3 cm, the next the same 2-3 cm, and another 5 cm.
  • Connect the chain of the last 4 twists into a single lock - the front paws are done.
  • Twist a 5 cm bubble - this is the body of the animal.
  • It remains to twist the bubbles for the hind legs: make a twist 15 cm long and connect both ends into a lock.
  • Another bubble is a small tail.

To complete the modeling of the bunny, all that remains is to turn all the parts of the body into place, assembling it into a hare figure. To complete it, you can paint on the eyes, nose and antennae - the bunny is ready.

It is also not particularly difficult to make a tiger or a cat. The modeling scheme for these animals is the same, but the colors change.

  • Inflate the balloon with a pump, leave the tail unfilled with air 13-14 cm, remove from the pump and tie the hole into a knot. There will be 11 twisted bubbles in total.
  • Twist 7 small bubbles, holding with your hands.
  • Between the 2nd and 3rd twist, make another one, between 4 and 6 the same.

Modeling the forehead, jaw, ears and cheeks of a tiger/cat:

  • Take the first bubble and stick the tiger's muzzle inside, holding it from the outside, wrap this bubble between the 8th and 9th bubble - the nose and mouth of the tiger will appear, and the 4th and 6th bubbles are the ears.
  • The torso and paws of the animal are modeled together. Tie the ends of the ball with a double knot and divide in half, two bubbles remain - these are the hind legs.

The resulting figure from long balls will look more like a tiger if you supplement the image with a marker: draw eyes, nose, mustache and characteristic stripes.

A cat is modeled using the same technique, only the colors will be different.

birdies

From long balls you can make anything and anyone, including birds. Swans are especially common. To model from a swan, you need only one ball, white or light yellow.

  • Inflate the balloon with a pump and leave a small tail of about 6 cm, it is needed for twisting and for the future beak of the bird.
  • Form a ring from most of the ball and hold with your fingers, bend the ring in half with the other hand.
  • Twist each ring separately and thread one ring into the other, form in the body of the bird.
  • The remaining part is the neck and head, it must be carefully bent and held for a while so that the ball takes shape.
  • Draw the eyes of the swan and decorate the beak - the bird is ready.

Do not be afraid to twist, even if there are a lot of such actions in the scheme, the balloon will not burst: firstly, there is room for air, secondly, the balloons are made of latex and have high elasticity, and thirdly, the balloon must be heated and stretched before inflating.

Conclusion

As you can see, if there is a diagram and a description, it is not difficult to make figurines from long air balloons. Gradually, from light figures, you can move on to more complex modeling schemes, acquiring more and more twisting skills and manual dexterity.

An incredible master of twisting lives in Japan, creating whole masterpieces from balls, but he also once started with dogs and flowers.

Twisting - needlework with balloons

Twisting definitions. Balloons for modeling (SHDM), pumps and compressors for inflating the balloon. Ball modeling training (twisting training). Offers from the company Wizard.

Basic definitions

Twisting, literally, is the ability to twist balloons into various designs, which are called models. These can be, for example, models of flowers, or models of cartoon characters or other models and figures from balloons. The latex balloons used in the creation of models in twisting are called modeling balloons, or balloons for short.

Balloons are inflated with air and twisted into bubbles and into locks that fix the bubbles, and also, balloons are twisted together, for twists between the bubbles. This is what is called twisting. People who are good at twisting are called twisters, or, more generally, aerodisaneurs.

Modeling balls (SHM) have an elongated cylindrical shape, so they are sometimes called "sausages" or "sausages". Most often, CDMs are called twisting balls.

Twisting is done amateurly and professionally. Amateur Twisting: These are activities with children that develop their brain through finger activity, or similar activities with older people that keep the brain in good shape. Also, amateur twisting: it is family fun, a way to have fun or a personal hobby, hobby. Professional twisting is all kinds of balloon modeling that is done for a fee. Professional twisting is used by animators and all sorts of magicians, balloon decorators in the manufacture of custom products or in the creation of accessories for decoration with balloons, specialists in the manufacture of gifts from balloons. Audiences for both amateur and professional twisting are quite large; and sometimes they overlap.

Twisting materials

The main material used in twisting are modeling balls (SDM). CDM differ from each other in size, color and other qualities. ShDM are manufactured by various manufacturing plants. CDM are packaged in packs, and in this form they are delivered to the consumer.

Traditionally, the size of the balloon is given by two numbers, the first of which indicates the diameter of the inflated balloon, and the second - the length of the maximum inflated balloon. For example, the designation BDM 260 refers to a modeling balloon that, when inflated, has a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and a length of 60 inches (152 cm). Or, for example, the designation BDM 325 indicates a modeling ball that, when inflated, has a diameter of 3 inches (7.5 cm) and a length of 25 inches (63 cm).

Such a size distribution is very conditional: even for the CDM of the same manufacturer (for example, Sempertex), the length of the CDM of the pastel and metallic types can differ markedly. Or the diameter of a purple pastel-type windmill will be larger than the diameter of a yellow or orange pastel-type windmill. And for CDMs from different manufacturers, the size designation of CDMs becomes even more conventional.

The color of modeling balloons is indicated in the system adopted for each manufacturer of latex balloons. For example, a red (pastel) CDM made by Sempertex (Colombia) will be marked with the number "015", and a red (pastel) CDM made by GEMAR (Italy) will be marked with the number "05". At the same time, the color of the red CDM from Sempertex will differ significantly from the red CDM from GEMAR.

Quality, i.e., the consumer qualities of the CDM, play an important role when choosing balls for twisting. For example, the GEMAR (Italy) CDMs are small (the declared sizes are underestimated), the latex of the Italian CDMs is very hard, especially for metallic CDMs. Or SHDM produced by Latex Occidentl (Mexico) have a very soft and very thin latex, which is very easy to work with, but it bursts from the slightest external impact. Or professional CDM Qualatex (USA) are good for everyone, but they are a bit short and are not cheap. The optimal combination of quality and price can be observed in Sempertex CDM produced in Colombia.

Twisting tools

The main tool used in twisting is a hand pump, with the help of which the CDM is inflated with air. There are a large number of such pumps with a variety of designs. The most convenient and practical is a manual two-way pump, with a check valve and a beveled spout, such as FASTER BLASTER or its analogues. Such a pump pumps air into the CDM during any movement of the body: both with forward and with return. The check valve, located in the pump rod, prevents air from the PDM from escaping back into the pump. The beveled spout makes it easy to put on the pump PDM and round balls of any size.

Sometimes, when inflating the CDM 160, it is convenient to use an additional small one-way pump of the “syringe” type. The same pump is very good at inflating tight spirals from CDM and other small work.

With the mass inflation of the CDM, using manual ones becomes a rather laborious process. In these cases, special high-pressure compressors are used to inflate the CDM. The CDM is simply put on the nozzle of the compressor, the button is pressed and the compressor starts to inflate the balloon. The balloon inflates at a low speed: this allows you to stop the inflation of the balloon at the right time.

The photo shows the compressor model HT-512 manufactured by the Chinese company Stermay. The power and resource of this compressor are amazing: for example, on such a compressor, about 500 pieces can be inflated in an evening. ShDM 260 (five packs!) and there will be no overheating of the compressor.

And of course, when doing twisting, you can’t do without scissors. Any sharp scissors without backlash will do. The main thing: the tips of the scissors should be either blunt or rounded. Otherwise, the sharp tips of the scissors can burst your creation.

Workplace for twisting

Almost any room is suitable for modeling from balls, where nothing interferes with a person and balls, and where a person with balls does not interfere with anyone.

The biggest enemy of modeling balloons (and any other latex balloons) is dirt and dust. Due to the fact that the balls accumulate charges of static electricity on their surface, dust sticks to them, carrying pollution and hard abrasive microparticles. Dirt just stains the balls and makes them ugly. And solid microparticles damage the thin latex of inflated balloons: and the balloons either burst immediately or begin to release air from themselves.

An equally serious enemy of latex balloons is ordinary oxygen, which is contained in the air. Oxygen enters into a chemical reaction with the latex of balloons, the oxidized latex loses its properties and collapses. "Burnt" latex is very noticeable: it is a white (whitish) coating, which eventually covers any inflated latex balloon. With such a coating, the balloon loses not only its appearance, but also the thickness of the walls of the inflated balloon decreases, which reduces the strength and durability of the balloon.

The more actively oxygen interacts with inflated balloons, the shorter their life time. Here are the factors that increase the rate of latex oxidation: high ambient temperature, direct sunlight falling on the surface of the balloon, ultraviolet radiation contained in sunlight, winds and other intense air balloon shoes. The last factor causes double damage: in addition to the influx of oxygen, the winds bring a lot of dust that sticks to the surface of the balls.

The room in which they work with balloons should be clean, not hot, without drafts and working air conditioners and fans, the windows of the room should not face the sunny side, the lighting in the room should be sufficient for working with small things. It is advisable to limit access to the premises for pets: cats, dogs. For work, the room should have a table and chairs. Before work, the surface of the table, and other surfaces on which inflated balloons can be placed, must be subjected to wet and dry cleaning.

It is very desirable, especially at the initial stage of mastering the secrets of twisting, that there are no strangers in the room used for work, and persons indulging in idle curiosity, “advisers” and “appraisers”. This greatly interferes with work and creates an unhealthy atmosphere, which can be an insurmountable obstacle to work. It is best to work alone or in the company of a mentor.

Twisting training

At present, it is not difficult to find on the Internet numerous materials related to teaching how to work with balloons in general and teaching twisting in particular. There are more than enough training offers: these are paid courses, and free lectures, these are tons of video materials, these are training seminars with a live lecturer.

Not everything that is presented on the Internet and in seminars should be accepted as true. It is not uncommon to find outright mistakes or unacceptable tricks being presented under the guise of training. For example, the technique of connecting balls to each other by gluing is used with might and main. They talk about the quality of adhesives, compare them with adhesive tapes, etc. In practice, gluing balls in any way is completely unacceptable: this connection is not strong, and glued balls have a very short lifespan. Gluing balloons is a clear sign of non-professional activity, but this is taught, and with a very confident look. For reference, the balls will be connected to each other by tying, and there are several ways of tying, and they are suitable for all occasions.

In order to learn the necessary techniques and not get harmful skills, you need to be careful in choosing a source of training information. You can only trust trusted sources, not all in a row.

The word "twisting" of English origin, means "twist, rotate." This is the art of creating various figurines and decorations from special balloons. It allows any child or adult to express their imagination. Not everyone knows that in fact its history has more than four and a half thousand years. Even the ancient Aztecs blew air into the intestines of animals, and then made various figures out of them. With the invention of rubber, balls began to be made from it. But only in the last century, that thin and high-quality rubber appeared, from which modeling balls (SHM) are made now. This is a fun and interesting hobby - twisting, schemes for beginners and professionals can be easily found on the Internet. You can make figures from one ball of any number. Each direction requires its own experience, knowledge of secrets.

We select materials

So, what materials will be needed:

  • balls for modeling;

They can be of different sizes, colors, manufacturers. ShDM sizes: 160Q, 260Q, 350Q. The first number shows the diameter of the ball in inches, and the next - its length. For example, 260Q means 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter, 60 inches (150 cm) long. It is most convenient to use balls of 260 size.

  • balloon pump.

What you need to know:

  1. To prevent the balloon from bursting when twisted, an uninflated “tail” is left at the tip when inflated, then, after inflating the balloon, a little air is released. Then it will become softer;
  2. They start twisting the figure from the place where the ball was tied and move towards the tail;
  3. Twist the ball in one direction, holding the first and last bubble (so that the figure does not unwind).

Models from ShDM

A dog is one of the simplest figures that can be created from a single balloon. Below is a diagram of its manufacture and step-by-step instructions with a photo.

Inflate the balloon leaving a 5 cm tip.

Make the first twist - spout.

We will make ears from the second twist, so it needs to be taken longer. Fold the bubble in half and twist several times.

Made a muzzle. Then we continue according to the scheme. The dimensions of the parts can be changed: if you make a long neck, the dog will turn into a giraffe, with the help of a long nose it is easy to turn the figure into an elephant. You can make wonderful bright and airy flowers.

Inflate the balloon, leaving a tail a few centimeters long. The knot at the beginning of the ball and the tail at the end must be connected and tied together. It should be a circle.

Connect the opposite sides of the circle with each other and twist them. Get an "eight".

Connect the middle of the resulting petals with the center and twist the petals again.

Your flower is ready! The scheme is the same, but how dissimilar models can turn out!
