Which tights to choose for winter. Warm women's tights - how to choose? Which women's tights to buy

Buying good tights for the winter is not an easy task. Most of them roll up, do not hold their shape and lose their presentation after the first wash. This is very disappointing, because sometimes the cost of such tights can reach 600-800 rubles, which, you see, is a lot.

My review is based on personal experience and reviews from a huge number of customers with whom I have worked. Therefore, I can say with confidence: I know what I am writing about.

Let's start the review. Today we will talk about bestseller in the world of tights - Filodoro Regina. The model comes in two densities: 100 and 160 denier.

Size range wide: from 2 to 5 (inclusive). Color palette: dark gray, milky, black and dark brown. The photo shows the milky color:

Color Chart made by me personally (photos of colors are also mine). Explanation of names:

  • coffee - dark brown
  • nero - black
  • carbon - dark gray
  • lana - milky

Tights have a regular (medium) waistline. The seams are flat and there is a hygienic gusset.

==========================================================================

Temperature: It is advisable to start walking in such tights at the first frost, namely, as soon as the thermometer drops below zero. Which density should I choose - 100 or 160 denier? You decide. I always buy 160 denier with both hands, because the difference in price is insignificant, and the weave is noticeably denser.

After my words about density, you probably imagined tights as thick as your aunt’s terry underpants, but don’t be alarmed, the tights are actually light and thin for their wonderful qualities. Your legs will definitely not be fattened.

==========================================================================

Pros:

  • the quality is beyond praise, 5+ (the tights are woven ONLY in Italy, and you can feel it)
  • The inner surface of the tights is made of cotton, making them very warm
  • the outer surface is microfiber, so the tights do not roll up or cling
  • matte (not shiny)
  • without shorts, uniform along the entire length (this allows you to wear such tights with miniskirts and short shorts)
  • comfortable belt 3.5 cm wide (reliably fixes the tights, they hold on well and do not slip)

==========================================================================

Minuses:

  • the toe is not reinforced (there is no thickening in the toe area to protect against abrasion)
  • tights are not molded (which means they fit the leg a little worse)

Objectively speaking, these 2 disadvantages are insignificant for 99% of women. Because the tights are already extremely wear-resistant and even despite the lack of molding, they look great on the legs.

==========================================================================

Conclusion: If where you live the temperature drops below zero at least sometimes, be sure to take note of these tights. Warm, practical, versatile, they are a real MUST HAVE for girls and women of all ages. I wear it myself and recommend it to everyone!

In conclusion, I would like to sincerely thank you for reading my review. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have!

In fact, this question cannot be answered unequivocally for the simple reason that the choice of tights material very much depends on the microclimate. In some cities, winter is cold and dry, while in others - for example, in St. Petersburg - it is wet and windy.

Let's look at what type of “insulation” each material provides. And then it will become much easier to navigate the choice.

Warm wool tights

Woolen fabric is a kind of mesh, a “trap” for warm air. Wool fibers prevent warm air from leaving the skin and cold air from penetrating inside.

Wool also has a slight massage effect, causing the blood to flow a little faster. This further warms the surface of the skin.

It is a mistake to believe that only “spiky” wool gives such an effect. Even the softest one - from angora, for example - will help your feet warm up from micromassage.

Warm cotton tights

Cotton is not as warm a material as wool. Women's winter tights made of cotton, with the same density as woolen ones, will keep you warm less when you are not moving.

At the same time, cotton itself is denser than wool, it is less airy. Due to this, it does not create an “air trap” - but it provides better protection from the wind.

Cotton wicks moisture away from the body well, so when actively moving, cotton tights will be better than woolen ones.

conclusions

  • In severe frost in dry and windless weather, woolen tights will best protect you. Moreover, regular tights and openwork wool tights will keep you warm equally.

  • Damp cold is a reason to wear thick tights, preferably made of wool. No openwork models.

  • Windy cold - here it would be more correct to give preference to tights with cotton, as they will not allow the wind to get to the skin.

  • If you are in a cold room and do not move much, then it is better to wear woolen tights.

  • But when actively moving indoors, cotton is still better - it will prevent your feet from sweating and will warm them quite well.

Mixed options

Of course, today you can buy warm winter tights made from mixed materials containing both cotton and wool. Here it is worth focusing on which of these natural components is more in the composition. If there is 60% wool and 20% cotton, then we put them on in the same way as we would put on woolen ones. If, on the contrary, the base is cotton, then we put them on accordingly.

In the online store site you will find a wide selection of tights made from natural materials. These include tights with cotton, tights with wool, and mixed solutions of very different densities for different weather conditions.

We all love coziness and at the same time beauty and comfort, especially on cool winter days. However, even in winter you want not only to feel warm, but also to feel beautiful, therefore, warm, comfortable and elegant tights are the dream of every woman. The range of modern winter tights will impress even the most avid fashionista, and if you don’t know how to choose high-quality tights at an affordable price, we will share our knowledge.

What to look for when choosing warm tights

When choosing tights, it is best to give preference to companies with a good reputation that have proven themselves in the hosiery market only on the positive side. However, even if the manufacturer is unfamiliar to you, it doesn’t matter, look at the packaging - it should be reliable and of high quality, without damage, scuffs or traces of paint. The packaging must contain information in Russian indicating the company's address. There should also be a detailed size chart on the back of the package so that you can choose the right model and not make a mistake.

When choosing tights, pay attention to their density, which is measured in “den” or “denier”. Focus on a simple rule - the more time you spend outside, the higher the amount of denier in tights should be. In winter, it is better to choose dense models with a denier of at least 40-60 and up to 120.

Contrary to popular belief, the cost of tights does not depend on their density and amount of den, but on the content of lycra or “lycra”, which is responsible for elasticity. The highest possible lycra content in tights is up to 30 percent. If the packaging indicates that the percentage of lycra content is up to 10, this means that it is contained only in the belt and gusset of the tights. Why is this bad? When worn, such tights will not “keep their shape” and will “wrinkle”; they will quickly stretch and the knees will sag. Don’t be sad if the tights don’t contain lycra at all; its analogues are Spandex and Dorlastan - look for them. If the composition contains more than 30% lycra, then we are talking about special - medical and therapeutic tights, they will greatly tighten the legs and stomach and it is better to buy them based on the doctor’s instructions.

Previously, there was an opinion that the higher the lycra content, the more shiny the tights are. This is a common misconception, since lycra is responsible for the strength and durability of the product and has virtually nothing to do with shine. Moreover, lycra may not shine at all.

If you still want to buy shiny tights, then you need products marked Lycra 3D.

However, warm tights would not be warm if they contained only lycra - they also contain other components that warm women's legs even in severe cold. The product must contain: wool, cotton or microfiber.

Choose tights only with flat seams - they always cost more, but you will feel comfortable and comfortable in them, such seams will not rub or cut into the skin.

New tights have a soft, subtle, pleasant, but rather persistent specific odor - firstly, this is an indicator of quality, since only expensive companies can afford aromatization, and secondly, this indicates the presence of an antibacterial coating on the tights.

Good and high-quality tights have a gusset made of cotton fabric.

By the way, remember that tights cannot be returned or exchanged.

Now let's move on to the second main question - how to choose tights so that they are comfortable, beautiful and last a long time?

Which material do you prefer: acrylic, wool, cotton or microfiber?

Acrylic

Acrylic is artificial wool and such tights are characterized by density and softness, low price and the ability to retain heat for a long time, but there is also a significant drawback - acrylic fiber has the unpleasant property of quickly forming pellets. Acrylic tights are produced by all leading lingerie manufacturers: Omsa, Vogue, Pompea, Incanto and others.

Wool

The wool in tights is responsible for warmth and it does its job perfectly. In high-quality tights that provide warmth, the wool content should be at least 55 percent, and the composition should also include elastane, which is responsible for the shape of the tights. Wool tights are not the most pleasant to the body, but manufacturers add cashmere, cotton or silk to wool, which makes the tights more pleasant to the touch without compromising their heat-resistant properties. Wool tights are so warm that you can wear a miniskirt under them even in winter and not feel any discomfort. If you doubt the comfort of wool tights, then open the package and touch them with your hand - this way you will understand whether the tights will prick.

Cotton

The thickest of warm tights are cotton, which provides warmth and comfort even on the coldest winter day. Cotton retains heat well and in this parameter can outperform even wool. Moreover, winter cotton tights keep their shape well even after numerous washes. High-quality cotton tights will not slip, they fit your legs well and are practical to wear.

Microfiber

Tights with the addition of microfiber have high strength and elasticity, they retain their presentation for a long time, and in terms of their thermal properties they are in no way inferior to their more popular counterparts. Tights with microfiber are pleasant to the touch and do not cause discomfort when worn. The only noticeable disadvantage of such tights is the fairly high price.

Where to buy warm tights

With the onset of cold weather comes the fashion for warm tights and you can buy them almost everywhere - both in specialized stores or shopping centers, and in online stores. As a rule, online stores always have more choice, lower prices, the opportunity to take advantage of additional bonuses or, and finding the tights you need will take you much less time.

It's the penultimate month of autumn, which means it's time to think about choosing warm tights for the winter. Many of you can say that the cold weather is still far away. All this is correct, but it is also correct that the cold weather sometimes begins early and unexpectedly. So that the cool weather doesn’t take you by surprise and your legs are ready to welcome autumn in full force, we’ll talk today about warm tights. When buying tights for autumn and winter, you need to take into account not only the design and color of the product, but also its quality. After all, what could be more pleasant than tights slipping under clothes, not keeping you warm, or rolling down quickly?

The most important thing is the material from which the tights are made. Microfiber tights have recently gained well-deserved popularity., i.e. fabric consisting of a large number of thin polyamide threads, and the more of these threads, the softer and silkier the product. Microfiber hosiery products are not only durable and warm, but also look good on women's legs. This is not the first year that women have been in demand for microfiber tights from such well-known brands as OMSA, INTRECCIO, GOLDEN LADY, INCANTO and INNAMORE. The so-called “two-layer” tights, the inner part of which is made of cotton and the outer part of microfiber, are also of great interest.

Tights are considered inexpensive and warm with the addition of acrylic (artificial wool), for example, such as SOFT INVERNO GIULIA or CASHMERE GIULIETTA. Acrylic fabric is indeed very soft and retains heat well, but it has one obvious drawback - it rolls off quite quickly. Therefore, acrylic tights are best worn under trousers or a long skirt.

Undoubtedly, the leaders in quality among winter tights are products with the addition of natural fabrics: cotton or wool, but certainly with the addition of lycra, otherwise they will quickly “roll off”. Wool, stimulating blood flow, provides excellent warmth in cold weather. As for cotton, it provides the product with increased density, which means that cotton tights are no less warm than woolen ones. The only disadvantage of such products is their more expensive price compared to tights made from artificial materials. Tights with the addition of natural fabrics are in fashion, brands such as FILODORO and TRASPARENZE.

Speaking of tights for autumn/winter, I would like to hear the opinions of hosiery sellers. Dozens of models of various tights and stockings, knee-highs and socks pass through their hands every day, so no one knows better than them all the intricacies and nuances of hosiery products.

Modern manufacturers offer us many high-quality products, so it is extremely difficult to give preference to any one model. VELOUR OMSA microfiber tights for 120 and 70 den are selling well. The fabric on the tights does not pill and looks beautifully smooth on the leg. The COTONE colorata 150 INTRECCIO model attracts with its wide range of colors.

For fans of soft fishnet tights, models such as RT1, RT2 BURLESCO are suitable. The tights of this brand are very soft and high quality, they have flat seams, a cotton gusset, a padded toe and heel.

Still worth it note the fantasy tights for autumn with a density of 60 denier made of 3D microfiber from FIORE: ARVENA, ALBERTA, ARIANNA, LAURETTA, etc. Thanks to a special technology, the tights perfectly fit the leg like a “second skin”.

Dear ladies! We really hope that our article has helped you at least a little to orient you in the variety of warm tights and in cool weather your feet will be truly warm and comfortable!

The question of how to choose good warm tights worries many women, because in the cold season the emphasis is placed more on comfort and warmth than on beauty. But, nevertheless, today manufacturers offer us a huge range of warm winter tights, which are at the same time warm, comfortable, and beautiful. How to choose tights that meet all these requirements? There are several rules to follow when choosing winter tights.

1. Composition of warm tights.

Well, first of all, let's start with the fact that warm winter tights should contain at least 40% natural thread. It can be cotton or wool thread. The cotton contained in the tights retains the warmth of your legs very well and increases heat transfer. Cotton tights will keep you warm and comfortable and are also very durable. High-quality cotton tights can last you at least one season, or even longer, without losing their original appearance. Wool tights are no less popular among women. They are able to retain maximum heat, and in addition, when in contact with the body, they improve blood circulation, which prevents your feet from freezing. And, of course, tights with wool thread are highly durable. Modern technologies make it possible to produce tights, which may contain cotton + wool.

These will be incredibly warm and comfortable tights.

2. Durability and neat appearance.

In order for tights made from natural thread to retain their shape well when worn and not move down or wrinkle, the composition must include elastane. The composition of natural thread in warm tights ranges from 40 to 100%. But 100% natural tights wear out faster on your feet and do not perfectly fit your figure. Therefore, the manufacturer adds elastane and polyamide thread. Elastane thread increases the elasticity of tights, and polyamide extends the life of tights.

3. Which tights are the warmest?

The percentage of synthetic threads included in the tights can be from 60 to 15%.

The more synthetic threads in tights, the correspondingly less natural threads. These tights are highly durable, but they are not suitable for cold winters. Those tights with a natural thread content of 60 - 85% will be warmer.

4. Fashionable winter tights.

Today, in order to comply with fashion and style, manufacturers produce warm, natural, women's tights. Various colors, different models, openwork and bright prints that can highlight your unique style and complement your image.

I really hope that my article will be useful to you and will help you understand the choice of warm tights for the winter, and in the cold season your legs will feel warm and comfortable. I look forward to your feedback in the comments.
