It is ideal to take elastic wire, a metal hanger, or in a pinch, a wire that holds its shape. Cardboard is also possible, but this is the worst option in terms of strength from those proposed above.

And so we take what is available. We will take several turns of steel wire for the frame and fix its ends. To do this, you can use side cutters and pliers.

The ring diameter is approximately 35 cm for a medium-sized wreath.

Now you need to build up “meat” around the rigid frame, i.e. create the body of the future ring both in width and in height, so that the wreath looks more voluminous. To do this, take an ordinary newspaper 10-12 wide sheets.

You also need PVA glue, usually a small bottle is enough. And so that the manufacturing process is not painful for you, use paper tape.

We lay out a sheet of newspaper and squeeze it with an accordion, namely with an accordion, and not with a tube, because. we need volume. Squeeze the accordion a little and start wrapping the frame.

To start wrapping, the tip of the newspaper must be fixed to the frame. To do this, you can use glue, but glue and tape are better. Look at the figure below. We will make a wide, flattened ring that will give the necessary space for decor on the front side. To do this, the ring must be built up both from the outside and from the inside. To do this, we squeeze the newspaper in the same way, glue the initial end and lightly fix it with paper tape, without squeezing the newspaper too much. Here we simply increase the width of the ring, there is no need to wrap anything. Just put the newspaper on the right side and fix it. In general, we do this in this way to the desired thickness.

Now we form the correct shape with our hands, crushing the layers of the newspaper from the top and sides, making the disc more compact. While the ring looks careless, all this needs to be fixed with paper tape. We wrap the ring with adhesive tape in one layer in a spiral so that the strips of adhesive tape overlap each other.

Now you need to tighten and correct the shape and go through the tape a second time. Now we decorate the ring. To do this, take colored tissue paper in the color of future New Year's balls. Cut it into several strips and wrap around the ring. Since tissue paper is very thin, it must be coated on top with PVA glue diluted in water. We coat with glue both from the front and from the wrong side so that the paper holds firmly from all sides. Decorating with tissue paper is not at all necessary, just suddenly it will occur to someone to look at what the ring is made of and then you will be at your best. You are beautiful inside and out.

After the first diluted layer of glue has dried, we coat the workpiece with undiluted PVA glue. After drying, it will turn into a durable, glossy and most importantly waterproof film. After that, your wreath will last more than one season. To make the glue dry faster, you can speed up the process by using a hair dryer.

Now let's start decorating our future New Year's wreath.

We start decorating the wreath with tinsel. We apply a little hot glue from the gun to the frame and glue the tip of the tinsel at an angle. Connect the beginning of the tinsel to the end and also glue the end with glue.

Fastening (suspension) of the wreath is best done before the main decor, so as not to wrinkle and break it at the end.
