How to make a snowman from a sock with your own hands

White socks are an excellent preparation for a snowman. Mom's or dad's things will turn into a big snowman, and small socks are suitable for making snowballs.

So, we need one white sock, scissors, filler, thread or elastic bands.

  1. Cut off the lower part from the whole sock.
  2. We tie one end with an elastic band, and then turn it inside out.
  3. We fill the sock with any cereal. Loose products will make the toy more stable and make it easy to give it the desired shape.
  4. We tie the other end with an elastic band.
  5. Hands give the snowman a slightly elongated shape. And in order to highlight the head and torso of the snowman, we bandage the workpiece just above the middle. The bottom part should be slightly larger and thicker than the top.
  6. Now you can make a hat from the rest of the sock. And a narrow piece of any fabric will replace a scarf for a snowman.
  7. It remains to make eyes and a nose, and glue two or three buttons on the bottom.

How to make a snowman out of plastic cups

A snowman made of plastic cups turns out to be big and charismatic. It can be placed both in the classroom and in the children's room. Leave more space!

The snowman will require more than three hundred plastic cups, a large stapler and glue. Our product will consist of two large balls. Let's start assembling the snowman from the bottom.

  1. We fasten in a circle with a large stapler the first row of cups of 25 pieces. We connect the cups to each other neatly and evenly.
  2. Now we put the following cups in turn on the resulting circle and connect them to each other and to the previous row. Thus, we complete the first half of the ball. By analogy, we perform the second half.
  3. The upper part of the snowman is also performed, but for the first row of the head, 22 cups are already taken. The resulting balls are glued together.
  4. We make eyes and a nose.

It remains to come up with a hat for the snowman and choose a suitable scarf.

And the available video tutorial will clearly demonstrate the process of making a snowman from plastic cups.

How to make a snowman out of thread

The next master class will help you learn how to make air snowmen. The basis for them are balloons, glue and threads.

We choose PVA glue, it has good adhesion and does not leave yellow streaks. We take threads of white color of any thickness.

  1. Inflate the balloons so that one is slightly larger than the other. Connect them with tape.
  2. Let's prepare the adhesive composition. To do this, pour a little PVA glue into a small container, then add water and mix everything.
  3. Soak the threads in glue and begin to wind in random order, first on one, then on the other ball.
  4. After drying, you need to pierce both balls and pull their remnants through the threads.

It turned out balloons. You can attach a thread or rope to them and hang them on a Christmas tree. But we need a snowman made of thread. Therefore, we glue the balls together so that we get a snowman.

It remains to come up with a headdress, a scarf. Glue the drawn eyes or buttons. A carrot-shaped nose is obtained from orange paper folded into a narrow cone, or plasticine. Ready!

All the subtleties of the master class are shown in our video.

Do-it-yourself snowman from a light bulb (master class)

Do not rush to throw out old incandescent bulbs. Let's make cute snowmen out of light bulbs that will decorate any Christmas tree. You can remove the internal parts of the lamp, but this will require you to carefully disassemble the top of the base. It is up to you to decide whether you will do this painstaking work.

  1. First of all, you need to paint the glass part of the lamp with acrylic paint, for a uniform application of which a sponge is used on the surface.
  2. After the paint has dried, the base is tied with a rope and a loop is glued to hang the toy on the Christmas tree.
  3. Eyes, mouth and nose are made with beads or painted with paints, as in the photo.

Light bulbs are quite fragile, so do not leave children unattended while working with them.

  2. From white cardboard, you need to cut out two adjoining circles, one slightly larger than the other.
  3. We apply a layer of glue to the base of our snowman, and a thin layer of cotton wool on it.
  4. Cut off all unnecessary and glue the snowman on the main sheet.
  5. We finish his hat, eyes and nose from beads.

And now turn on the fantasy and decorate the card as you wish. And this video will help.

New Year's snowman made of paper with your own hands in 3d

A gift card with a volumetric or so-called 3D application looks interesting. This result is achieved by cutting and bending the elements of the postcard.

We need two sheets of paper, and the white one should be 1 cm smaller than the colored one in width and length.

  1. Fold a white sheet of paper in half widthwise and make two parallel cuts. So we designate the bottom of the snowman.
  2. The part obtained from the cuts is bent and directed inward.
  3. We make two smaller cuts on one of the folds. And also direct the bent part inward.
  4. It remains to make the last two small cuts and again bend the resulting small element inward.

Now we open the card, and we get a voluminous snowman inside. We glue the wrong side of the white sheet on the colored one. More details - on the video.

The main element of such a postcard is a snowman made of several layers of paper, which give it volume and splendor.

  • For the base of the postcard, take a thick sheet of cardboard, you can also have two sheets of different colors. We fold them in half.
  • The snowman is made of two circles. For a fluffy snowman, you will need at least 20 circles of each size. Cut them out of white paper and fold each in half.
  • We glue one upper and lower circle completely so that they coincide with the fold of the base sheet along the fold. Apply glue to the remaining circles only along the outer part of the fold, and glue them to the previous circle. And so all the top twenty pieces.
  • And then twenty lower ones.
  • It remains to decorate the card.

Christmas craft: paper snowman - garland

If desired, windows, walls and a Christmas tree can be decorated with a garland of snowmen.

  1. Fold a white sheet of A4 scale in half along the length and cut along the fold line.
  2. We put one part aside, and fold the second in half in width, and then again in the form of an accordion.
  3. Now on the front side we draw the silhouette of a snowman so that its handles end at the edge of the sheet. This will be the place where the garland is connected.
  4. We cut out the drawing along the contour, and we have a part of our garland of four snowmen ready.
  5. We also make a few more links of our product, and then we fasten the parts (where the handles are) together with narrow adhesive tape.

Thus, a wonderful New Year's friend, made by hand, appeared in your house.

Winter is coming, which means that one of the most beloved holidays of the year will soon come - the New Year. To give yourself and your loved ones a festive mood, we suggest making a funny snowman from plastic cups with your own hands. Using our step-by-step instructions, it will not be difficult to do this. The product will not only decorate the house or yard, but also give a lot of joy to you and your children.

What you need to make a snowman out of plastic cups

Making a snowman out of disposable cups is not difficult at all. They taper downward and this shape allows the formation of spherical structures. You won’t need expensive materials or any special tools, because glasses are cheap, and there is a stapler in almost every home. In addition, making such crafts will not take you much time and will be a great way to have fun for the whole family.

You may need the following tools and materials:

  • plastic cups - 300 pcs.;
  • stapler;
  • staples - a pack of 1 yew. PC.;
  • glue or glue gun;
  • transparent tape;
  • Double-sided tape;
  • scissors;
  • elements for decoration.

The number of cups may vary. This primarily depends on the size of the snowman, the number of parts of which it will consist, and the shape of the body - a sphere or a hemisphere. Cups can be selected as one size or different. For the body, you can take ordinary cups of 100 ml, and for the head, small ones, 50 ml.

Choose glasses with narrow rims as they are easier to staple.

It is better to buy glasses with a small margin, because during operation some of them may be damaged and become unusable.

The main tool for creating a snowman is a stapler. You will need the most common stationery stapler and a pack of staples (approximately 1000 pcs.). The number of staples used will depend on how the snowman is made. If you decide to use glue or double-sided tape, then you will need much less.

Glue is better to take universal polymer, which is designed to connect plastic parts. Great if you have a glue gun. With it, it is very convenient to apply glue pointwise. You can also use double sided tape.

Glue and tape are more of an auxiliary material. It is not necessary to use them, since the cups can be connected using the same brackets.

Instead of traditional white cups, you can use transparent ones. The stapler will need a small size to fit easily in a cup You can do anything with a glue gun Scotch is better to buy with a cutting knife With the help of double-sided tape, you can connect large parts of the structure Eyes, nose, mouth, headdress and buttons are made from colored cardboard.

Variants of snowmen from plastic cups

All options are quite similar to each other. The glasses are connected in such a way that the result is a ball or a hemisphere. This can be done in two ways: using a stapler or glue. Let's consider both methods.

Step-by-step instructions for creating with a stapler

This is the easiest and fastest way. In addition to the stapler, you will also need tape. For decor, prepare colored cardboard, tinsel to decorate the Christmas tree, or a regular scarf. Cardboard is needed to make eyes, nose and buttons. Tinsel or scarf is tied between the “head” and “torso” so that the image of our homemade snowman is complete.

The snowman will consist of two parts - the body and the head. The cups are connected to each other only with the help of a stapler. We suggest making the lower part of large cups (164 pcs.), And the upper part of small ones (100 pcs.). You can, of course, use the same dishes, but then the head and body of the snowman will be the same.

"Sculpt" a snowman in stages:

  1. The lower part of the body.
  2. Head.
  3. Attaching the body to the head.
  4. Decoration.

First make the bottom. So that the snowman can stand on the floor, the bottom ball is not completely closed and a hole is left. The head is “molded” from small cups and also not completely covered. A small hole will be needed to attach the top to the bottom.

The cups are placed upside down inside the ball, aligning the outer walls with each other.

As for the decor, you can limit yourself to making eyes, a spout and buttons. Or you can give yourself and your loved ones a real holiday and place an LED garland inside the finished snowman.

Consider step by step how to make a snowman:

  1. Open the packaging with the cups and take them out of each other.
  2. Lay out a circle of 17 pieces and fasten the cups together with a stapler from the side of the rim.

Lay out a circle of glasses on the floor and staple them together

  3. This will be the basis of the "body".

You should get a circle of glasses

  4. Line up the second row in a circle: the upper glasses are placed between the two lower ones, as if filling the space between them.

Lay the glasses on top and fasten them to the bottom

  5. Fasten together the top row with the main one (the top glass with the bottom one and so on in a circle).
  6. Fasten the glasses from the second row together.
  7. Do the rest of the rows in the same way. You should get a hemisphere - this will be the upper body.

Gradually you will have a hemisphere

  8. In the same way, make the lower hemisphere, only it will already have a small hole and consist of four rows.
  9. Connect the bottom of the sphere to the top using the same stapler.

Don't forget to leave a hole in the bottom ball

  10. Now proceed to the manufacture of the "head". Everything is the same: we build the main row of small glasses (also 17 pieces), then the next row (15 pieces) and so on until a sphere is obtained.
  11. In the "head" we also leave a hole the size of one glass.

Leave a small hole for the head, the size of one glass

  12. Now you need to make a "rod" to connect the head to the body.
  13. Take 2 glasses and make three cuts on each, 4 cm deep.
  14. Position one glass at the very top of your torso so that each notched part of it is lower in the glass.
  15. For reliability, wrap the glass with tape so that the cuts do not “go” up.
  16. Put another glass on top of the first and also fasten with tape.
  17. To prevent the glasses from falling out of the structure, glue their ends with adhesive tape to the inner walls of the cups.
  18. Put the "head" on the resulting rod.

When you attach the top to the bottom, you will get this design

Everything, the snowman is almost ready. It remains only to glue the eyes and nose, as well as make a headdress.

A snowman can be made in three parts, but then it will be unstable and you will need more cups and staples.

How to decorate and "revive" a snowman

Prepare colored cardboard, scissors and glue. It is better to use two types of glue. One for working with paper, that is, ordinary stationery or PVA, and polymer glue for gluing decor to a snowman. If you have double sided tape, you can use that. What and how to do:

From the same cardboard you can make a headdress, for example, a cylinder.

In the same way, you can connect the details of the structure with glue. Glasses are arranged in a circle and glued together.

If you want the snowman to glow like a Christmas tree, then put an LED string inside and connect it to electricity.

How to make a product with your own hands using a glue gun

You will need about 300 cups of the same size, a stapler, staples, and a glue gun. The essence of this method is that you need to combine the connection with brackets and the connection with glue. Do the following:

  1. Lay out a circle of glasses (17 pcs.) on a flat surface. This will be the main row.

By connecting the glasses together in this way, you will be able to form a circle

  2. Secure each glass with a stapler.

Don't worry if the cups are wrinkled

  3. Apply glue to each glass approximately in the middle (make a circle).
  4. Lay the next row of glasses on top. This way you will form a hemisphere.
  5. Wait a few minutes and let the adhesive "seize".
  6. Additionally, fasten the glasses together in the top row.

Before you have time to look back, two rows of glasses will be interconnected

  7. Next, lay the glasses in such a way that they move inside the structure.
  8. Apply glue to each row and fasten the glasses together in one row.
  9. When the upper hemisphere is completely ready, proceed to the lower body.
  10. For the first row, you should need 15 cups (just in case, count how many glasses you got in the second row of the hemisphere).
  11. The lower hemisphere should be unfinished, it is enough to make three rows. Then the snowman will stand steadily on the floor and not fall.
  12. Make a head, also from two hemispheres. You don't need to leave a hole.
  13. When the head and torso are ready, make a "rod" out of two glasses. With it, you will connect the upper and lower parts.
  14. Connect the cups together so that the rim of one glass enters the rim of the other (you can make several cuts on one glass).

This is what the “rod” of glasses looks like to connect the upper and lower ball

  15. Rewind with tape so that the structure does not fall apart.
  16. Insert one end of the “rod” into the uppermost glass of the body, and put your head on the other. For reliability, pour a little glue into each glass in which you will place the "rod".
  17. Start decorating your finished snowman. You can wear a funny Santa Claus hat on your head or leave it as it is.

If you make a snowman from the same dishes, then both parts will turn out the same. We advise you to resort to a little trick. When you make the head, squeeze the glasses a little at the bottom - the ball will turn out to be smaller.
