DIY crafts from old things - great decor, photos and ideas. New life for old things. DIY crafts for the home

Recyclables: garbage or unplowed field for fantasy? Oh, any more or less experienced handmaker will answer this question without hesitation “of course, the second one!”. So let's talk in this article about recyclables. Everything that an ordinary person banally throws into the trash can, we, headmakers, will thriftly drag it into our bins, with the aim of further reincarnation into some kind of . Get to the point! Let's start!

Idea number 1. Pen and pencil holders - monsters

How to please your child? Or surprise the kid of your friendly family? Naturally, the children of handmakers are oh, how spoiled and fed up with various crafts and curiosities. Therefore, each time you need to contrive more and more. And here's an idea for you.

Running out of shampoo or dish soap? Save the container. From flat plastic bottles, a pretty pencil case for a young artist will make a great job.

So let's get started. What do you need to create an original pencil box - a monster for a little artist:

  • Shampoo bottle. It is advisable to take a flat one and a volume of no more than half a liter, but you can experiment with a larger volume.
  • Scissors.
  • Self-adhesive thick film in black and white.
  • Stationery knife.
  • Double sided tape. Preferably without lining.
  • Superglue or hot glue.
  • Simple pencil.

So, first we remove the labels, wash and dry the container. The craft is intended for a child. Therefore, the bottle must be thoroughly washed, the bubbles are useless to us.

Now, armed with a simple pencil, we sketch the future monster. Place the pattern on the bottle based on the fact that the bottom will be the bottom of the structure. About ten centimeters from the bottom of the bottle should be saved for the pencil reservoir, this should be taken into account when planning the sketch layout.

We cut out the main lines with a clerical knife, cut out smaller details with scissors. It is advisable to take small scissors. You can dream up on the theme of limbs and cut out handles from the remaining material.

The limbs must be attached to the body, we will do this with hot glue or super glue. We press them together and wait for complete drying and fastening of the parts.

From self-adhesive paper we make out the face of the monster. Here you can let your imagination run wild. Draw the eyes out of black and white paper. White oval or circle - protein, black circle - pupil. However, we are creating a fantastic monster, but it can be the other way around. Having cut out an approximate shape of a bean-heart, we make a mouth. And let's not forget about sharp teeth, so that the teeth look good, it is better to take a pair of them. Just cut out elongated triangles from white self-adhesive paper. There is a good chance that it is this detail that the child will most of all like.

Don't forget about fastening. As mentioned above, we planned to place the monster pencil holder on the wall, so we will take care of the fastening. Sufficient to withstand the weight of the pencil holder, we glue a piece of double-sided tape on the “back” of our monster.

That's all. Get your masterpiece up and running faster. It is desirable to fix the pencil holder above the child's work surface.

Idea number 2. how to make a pencil case - do-it-yourself mouse for school

And here is another fun gift idea for a little person. But there is a small mandatory skill - crocheting. In principle, nothing complicated, everything can be knitted with a single crochet.

So, what do you need to create a great mouse-shaped pencil case:

  1. A fairly large plastic tube, no matter what. The main thing is the shape and size.
  2. Knitting.
  3. Hook. Select the number under the thread.
  4. Button fastener.
  5. A small piece of white cloth for the eyes. You can do it by crocheting small circles.
  6. Needle with thread.
  7. Four foam balls of small diameter or you can take plastic beads or something similar.
  8. Stationery knife.
  9. Scissors.

Now to the master class itself!

1. Prepare a tube. For our project, you only need the container itself, the “shoulders” of the tube and the threaded cap must be separated. This can be done with a utility knife or a sharp kitchen knife. An open tube must be thoroughly washed from the contents, even if you are preparing a gift for a fairly adult child, you should not fully rely on his consciousness, it is better to play it safe.

We remove the sharp ends in the places of soldering of the tube. We do not cut them off completely, but only dull and reduce them.

2. Now we dress our mouse. Using a hook, we knit a cover. The transition of color can indicate the boundaries of clothing. In what you will dress your mouse, ask your imagination. Just keep in mind that it is at this stage that you can determine the gender of the mouse, that is, indicate whose pencil case it will be for a girl or a boy. You can knit something like pants with suspenders or a sarafan with a skirt.

Now you need to knit four parts for the legs and handles. You can make them the same or on legs, for example, “wear” tights. These items are done in the following way. You knit a chain of air loops, and attach a tied foam ball to the end.

Now it's the turn of the ears. You knit two identical parts of small circles.

Muzzle. Knit a cone. In width, it should correspond to the neck of the tube. And be long enough to play the role of a cover. Finish the cone with a black nose. It can be knitted from a black thread or sewn from a small piece of black fabric and synthetic winterizer.

3. Muzzle. Eyes should be placed on the cone of the head. They can be made independently from small patches of fabric and foam rubber, or crocheted, you can attach those bought in the store. The main thing is that small parts are securely fixed. After all, a small engineer is sure to put some of his strength to check the reliability of fastening. By the way, this applies to all small details. To make the pencil case more interesting, you can add small details, such as cilia and antennae. They can be done with a needle and thread.

Sew on the ears.

4. Assembly. When all the parts are prepared, it's time to move on to the assembly. First, we assemble and tie together the tube cone and the triangle head. Sew on arms and legs. We divide the button and sew one part on the head in the nose area, and place the second part, respectively, on the first one. So that when connecting the parts do not spoil the structure and perform their function.

Idea number 3. Craft from plastic corks - little man

Well, continuing the theme of gifts for our flowers of life, consider the idea of the simplest recycled toy. Or rather, from corks that are left over from plastic bottles. The idea is great because you can and should invite kids to the process of creating toys. The process is simple and safe, but without the watchful eye of an adult it is better not to carry out, otherwise you never know.

So, what do you need to create a cork man:

  • Corks from plastic bottles at least 30 pieces. You can take covers of different diameters.
  • Durable cord.
  • 6 cores from the Kinder Surprise toy.
  • Toy eyes. You can take buttons or black beads.
  • Superglue or hot glue.
  • A nail, an awl, a knitting needle, everything with which you can make a hole of 2-3 millimeters.

So let's get started

Before the start of the practical part of the “project”, we sit down in a row and together we figure out what kind of little man we should succeed. On a table or other flat surface, lay out the lids, let each take its place. Do not forget about the kinders, they also need to determine the place.

After, first of all, you need to make the right number of holes in the right places. To do this, we take a nail, for example, and heating it on a gas burner, we burn holes in the lids.

After that, let the child collect the toy. And you do not forget to add knots on the cord in the right places.

When the toy is assembled and all the knots are securely fastened, you can begin to decorate the face of the toy. You can just draw eyes, nose, lips, or you can stick toys or replace them with buttons or beads. The main thing is that small objects are firmly glued with superglue or hot glue.

On the head of the toy, you can put on a hat of two caps of a larger and smaller diameter. And you can make a forelock of threads. This is up to you and your wish.
The doll is simple and absolutely cheap, but the time spent on a common activity is simply priceless.

Here's another recycling idea for you. The original bag that does not wrinkle and does not get wet. Perfectly passes air and water.

A bag with such characteristics is always needed on the farm. Well, if you appear with her on the street, you will simply attract the eyes of passers-by. And what is most interesting, a bag made of cork rings is quite durable. Making such a household item or wardrobe item is easier - simple.

  • Cork rings. The quantity taken is directly related to the size of the product. In the example, more than 260 pieces are used. The main thing is that the diameter is the same
  • Plastic clamps. Again, the required amount is related to the size of the product. You can take multi-colored ones. This will also add color to the product. The smallest will look elegant.
  • Patience.

For care!
The first thing you need is to determine the size of the future bag or box. Now you need to expand all the rings and carefully, but tightly connect with plastic clamps. Remove loose "tails" with scissors or side cutters.

The operation algorithm is simple, first one plane, then the second, and so on. If a large product is conceived, then you will still need a lot of patience. Good luck!

The best things in life are free. Find out how you can turn boring, old, and tossed-out items into something beautiful and functional for your home.

10. Maps

There are 3 popular ways to use old geographical maps:

  • in the role of a wall decor that will remind you of places you have visited or places that still need to be visited;
