• white stripes - 30 pieces (size 4.5x9 cm);
• blue stripes - 30 pieces (size 4.5x9 cm);
• PVA glue;
• knitting strong thread.

Stages of work:

Take a blue strip of paper and fold it in half from left to right.

Then return to the starting position. Thus, the middle of the strip is visible.

Bend the upper left corner of the strip up to the middle.

Do the same with the second corner, that is, the right one. Only it needs to be bent from top to bottom.

Now bend the upper left corner down, and the right corner up to the center line.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 again.

Now carefully unfold everything to the initial position of the leaf.

Take a piece of white paper and fold it in half.

Then step back about 0.5 - 0.7 mm down and bend again.

Gently fold the accordion leaf to the middle.

At the end, it is not necessary to bend the corrugation for the last time, a ledge should remain.

Do the same with the other side of the workpiece. In the end it should look like this.

Now you need to bend the lower left and upper right corner.

On the back side, it looks like this.

Then bend on both sides already along the marked lines.

The white center must be glued with PVA glue.

Now assembling the ball. Take one module and glue the pocket near the corrugation with glue.

This kusudama is perfect for a beginner. It consists of only 30 modules, which are very easy to fold.

For work, you will need 30 paper squares with a side of 8 to 10 cm. It is very convenient to use leaflets from blocks for notes, but you can cut squares from colored paper. In this version, squares of 8.5 cm are taken in five different colors.

Let's start folding the module. Take a square of paper and fold it in half.

Unfold and fold the edges again to the midline.

From opposite sides, bend the corners to the first horizontal line.

We bend the corners again.

Fold the sides towards the center of the square.

We make two diagonal folds.

Repeat the action in the other direction to get such a pattern of lines.

We turn off one side of the workpiece and put a corner there.

We return the bend to its place.

On the other hand, we fill the edge of the paper into the formed pocket to make a rhombus.

Bend the rhombus in half.

We fold the triangle to the center of the module.

We do the same with the other edge. The module is ready.

When all 30 pieces are assembled, we proceed to assemble the kusudama. We push the corner of one part into the pocket of another.

We form a pyramid of three modules.

In the future, when assembling, we focus on the "asterisk" of the five pyramids. This is how the correctly assembled side of the kusudama should look like.

We continue to collect. If the modules were made carefully, then everything will turn out smoothly and without glue. The last 2-3 modules are difficult to insert. Make sure your creation doesn't fall apart.

• PVA glue;
• paperclips;

01. Take one blank, that is, a square and put it with an acute angle up to make a rhombus.

2. Now bend the workpiece from the bottom up horizontally.

4. Then bend the left half in half from top to bottom.

6. Now fold the left corner of the module to the right so that they do not overlap each other, but simply touch.

7. Hide the right corner of the module, as shown in the photo.

11. Each flower consists of five modules. They need to be glued in a circle. To fix them, they must be fastened with paper clips.

• We turn the workpiece over to the second side and bend the corners to the center line in the same way.

• For one flower you need five such blanks. I took three white and two purple petals.

• Now let's start assembling the flower. To do this, you need to take two blanks and insert the corners from each other. Then bend along the line.

• Thus, we connect all five parts. We should get an asterisk.

• Next, you need to carefully turn the product inside out, and straighten the petals. That is, we take the corners of the star and pull it down.

• Such flowers must be collected 12 pcs.

• Now we proceed directly to the assembly of the ball. We take one ready-made flower and apply a thin layer of glue on one of the sides.

• Gently glue the second flower to the smeared side.

• Next, you need to glue two sides already in order to attach the third part.

• Thus, you need to glue all 12 blanks.

For example, to create one flower module, you need to take squares of 13, 14 and 15 cm in size, respectively.

Parts of the lily will be made according to the following scheme:

1. To start, take the smallest of the 3 squares and work with it. Make up the so-called "double square"- the basic figure of origami. To do this, fold the square in half and diagonally 2 times, expand and bend the middle parts inward. You should get a three-dimensional detail in the shape of a square.
2. Then you need to bend each of the faces of our square to the center, while smoothing them out. We do this with all four edges.
3. Now bend the bottom corners to the center and repeat on all sides. The result should be a figure resembling a rhombus.
4. The next step is one of the hardest. You need to pull the inner bottom corner out. In order to do this, you need to make a fold exactly in the middle of the figure, which should subsequently remain inside the workpiece, and the inner corner must be pulled up. Next, we do this step on all sides of the workpiece.
5. Now again bend the bottom corner up exactly in the middle of the figure.
6. Doing it now vertical fold in the middle of the figure and bend back. This step is done to determine the middle of our part.
7. Now we bend the lower parts to the center (from the corner to the base slightly above the middle of the workpiece) We do the same action on the other side of the module.
8. We bend the entire upper part of the work from all four sides. The fold line should be slightly above the middle. These are our future petals. They need to be straightened to a horizontal position and can also be slightly bent for beauty. Our first lily for the kusudama ball is ready!
9. From the remaining two larger squares, we make the same parts and put them one into the other in order. The first module of our lily flower kusudama ball is ready.
10. It is better to assemble the modules into a finished ball with a thread and a needle, rather than glue, since this option will be more durable.

I want to offer you another scheme for creating kusudama crafts for beginners. It will consist of 12 modules, each of which will require 5 square sheets of paper. The length of the side is 10 centimeters. So let's get started.

Take 1 of the prepared squares and fold it in half diagonally to make a triangle. We bend its corners up to the middle (to the top of the triangle). Eventually a rhombus should form. Now on one side we unbend the corners, as in the manufacture of a lily. To do this, draw the middle and make a fold along it. We do this with 2 corners on one side. For the resulting convex parts of the part, fold the upper parts down, and then the side parts towards the center, along the already existing fold line. We connect the extreme surfaces of the part and glue them together. You should get an oval-shaped detail with "stamens" inside.

For 1 flower, you need to complete 5 such parts and start assembling. Glue them together by connecting the corners. And then, according to the same principle, collect the entire Kusudama-ball, consisting of 12 flowers. Decorate with bows and beads if desired. You can put them on glue or sew. Our craft is ready!
