You can also run a wet palm or a rag over a fur coat - and see how many hairs are left. Cheap faux fur very quickly becomes unusable precisely because of the loss of pile.

Look carefully at the composition: most models today are made of acrylic and cotton or polyester. It is the last element that makes the product durable. Therefore, look for information on the label about the presence of polyester (there are names - PAN or polyacrylonitrile fiber).

Smell the product for the presence of chemical odors and swipe with a white napkin for low-quality dyes that then remain on the skin and clothing.

If the fur coat beats with current from friction, this means that it has not undergone electrostatic treatment. Feel free to stop buying.

How to properly care for a faux fur coat?

- Fur loves free space, so it is better to store an eco-fur coat in a special cotton case in a dark, dry place.

It is better to wash in a washing machine at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees with a double rinse without spinning. Dry the product without using electrical appliances. After complete drying, you can comb the fur with a comb with blunt teeth.

The faux fur product must not be ironed or subjected to other heat treatment (for example, a heated car seat).

If you have soiled the eco-fur coat, then the stain can be removed with a soapy sponge.

And try not to wear bags on your shoulder and expose the fur to friction.
