November 3 is a working day or a day off. november - short working day

The holiday itself, National Unity Day, which is annually celebrated by Russians on November 4, this year fell on a day off, Saturday. In this regard, almost all employees expect a long weekend, because the government postponed Saturday rest to Monday. But will the shortened day of November 3, 2017 be after such transfers? Let's figure it out together.

Legislation

Article 95 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation establishes the obligation of employers to shorten the working day if it is the last before the holiday date. The norms of this article apply to the production calendar for 2017, from which it follows that:

The duration of the working day or shift immediately preceding a non-working holiday is reduced by one hour.

In the same article, legislators define the concept of "pre-holiday days". These include the dates that immediately precede the holiday. However, not all citizens have the opportunity to work an hour less on such a date. Those workers who work on a schedule five days a week for 8 hours a day will experience this benefit to the fullest. But employees who have an irregular work schedule, for example, when the enterprise is operating in a continuous cycle or performing activities in which it is impossible to reduce the duration of the shift on the pre-holiday day, will not be able to use this preference. Therefore, for them, the employer must provide for compensation and prescribe such an opportunity in the collective agreement. The choice of compensation method must be made by the employee himself. It could be:

  • extra time for rest;
  • payment according to the norms established by labor legislation for overtime work.

November 3 - short working day

Since Friday 3 November 2017 immediately precedes the holiday non-working day 4 November expressly stated in article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, it is recognized as a pre-holiday date. Therefore, it should be shorter by 1 hour for all employees of Russian organizations and entrepreneurs, with the exception of those who work on a special schedule. Together with him, shortened days fell only three times in 2017:

  • February 22 - before the holiday, Defender of the Fatherland Day, which is celebrated on February 23;
  • March 7 - before International Women's Day on March 8;
  • November 3 - before the National Unity Day on November 4.

And this is the last shortened day in this calendar year. In all other cases, the days before the holidays coincided with the usual official days off, so they did not affect the length of working time.

Working hours on November 3 with a six-day working week

If an organization works on a six-day week, then its employees retain the right to a shorter working day. Therefore, the pre-holiday day of November 3 for them will also be reduced by one hour. However, the legislation does not provide for the opportunity to rest on Monday the 6th for such a schedule. Indeed, article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation states that the transfer of rest is carried out only if the holiday falls on a weekend. On a six-day week, Saturday is not a day off.

Less work on Friday

In some organizations, the internal regulations provide for a reduction in the length of the working day on Fridays. Such an initiative of management is usually welcomed by employees, but has nothing to do with the norms of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. The organization must prescribe a special mode of operation in an internal regulatory act (order or work schedule). At the same time, such a duration of work on Fridays should not affect the salary in any way. By the way, for the legislative reduction of working hours by an hour, employers also have no right to reduce wages. For a shortened day, you will have to pay for both 8 hours worked for all employees: both those who receive a salary and those for whom an hourly wage is set.

What is the reason for the conflict between Mikhail Koklyaev and Alexander Emelianenko:

Relationship between Russian MMA fighter Alexander Emelianenko and weightlifter Mikhail Koklyaev heated up in March 2019, after "Misha" posted a video in which he commented on Alexander's conflict with another MMA fighter - Sergey Kharitonov.

Koklyaev joked about "stupid jocks and fighters", summarizing that "...Now it's not only jocks who are dumb."

In a response video, Emelianenko suggested that Mikhail “be more careful,” as he could soon come to visit him at the gym.

The exchange of courtesies continued on the fighters' Instagram accounts, where they made notches on the bench press, stuffed a heavy ball, and fired from a broom.

In the end, everything ended with an agreement to resolve the dispute with the help of fists.

That is, the cause of the conflict is a joke by Mikhail Koklyaev.

When will the fight between Mikhail Koklyaev and Alexander Emelianenko take place (date and time):

"The most anticipated fight of 2019" between Mikhail Koklyaev and Alexander Emelianenko will take place on Friday 29 November 2019.

As for the start time of the fight, it is not known exactly, since it depends on how quickly the preliminary fights end. In total, 6 fights are planned in the tournament program, and the meeting between Emelianenko and Koklyaev will be the final one.

The tournament itself will begin on November 29, 2019 at 19:00 Moscow time. And Koklyaev and Emelianenko as headliners can enter the ring in a period of time from 21:30 to 22:30 Moscow time.

Where will the meeting between Koklyaev and Emelianenko be held on November 29, 2019:

The venue for the fight was chosen "VTB-Arena"(Moscow, Russia) - a multi-purpose sports complex built on the site of the central Dynamo stadium in Petrovsky Park.

According to what rules will the duel between A. Emelianenko and M. Koklyaev take place:

The duel will pass by the rules of boxing.

Prediction for the fight Koklyaev vs Emelianenko:

On November 29, 2019, we will receive an answer to the question of what is preferable - strength or speed.

Speed. Russian mixed martial arts fighter Alexander Emelianenko (younger brother of Fedor Emelianenko) has fought over a hundred fights in various martial arts. His manner of fighting is distinguished by courage, speed and entertainment. Now Alexander is in excellent physical shape, which means that in the upcoming fight he will be faster than ever.

Force. Eight-time champion of the Russian Federation in weightlifting, powerlifter Mikhail Koklyaev, "The Strongest Man of Russia" - is a multiple winner of international tournaments in power extreme sports. It is deservedly famous for its strength, courage and sports character. He claims that in order to knock out Emelianenko, he "needs only 1 hit."

If the fight between Koklyaev and Emelianenko is not a freak fight (staged, for the show), then Mikhail does not have much chance. Of course, there is a video where a strongman slaps 320 kilograms, and therefore, theoretically, he can knock out Alexander. However, Emelianenko is an experienced fighter who has been performing in mixed martial arts for a long time, and therefore is the undisputed favorite of the fight.

November 3,4,5 we celebrate National Unity Day

November 4 is National Unity Day in Russia. The holiday was established by the Federal Law "On the Introduction to Article 1 of the Federal Law "On the days of military glory (victory days) of Russia", signed in December 2004 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

National Unity Day was established in memory of the events of 1612, when the people's militia led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from the Polish invaders. Historically, this holiday is associated with the end of the Time of Troubles in Russia in the 17th century. The Time of Troubles - the period from the death in 1584 of Tsar Ivan the Terrible to 1613, when the first of the Romanov dynasty reigned on the Russian throne - was the era of a deep crisis in the Muscovite state, caused by the suppression of the royal dynasty of Rurikovich. The dynastic crisis soon developed into a national-state one. The united Russian state collapsed, numerous impostors appeared. Widespread robberies, robbery, theft, bribery, wholesale drunkenness hit the country.

It seemed to many contemporaries of the Time of Troubles that the final ruin of the "bright Muscovite kingdom" had taken place. Power in Moscow was usurped by the "seven boyars" headed by Prince Fyodor Mstislavsky, who let Polish troops into the Kremlin with the intention of placing the Catholic prince Vladislav on the Russian throne.

In this difficult time for Russia, Patriarch Hermogenes called on the Russian people to stand up for Orthodoxy and expel the Polish invaders from Moscow. "It's time to lay down your soul for the House of the Most Holy Theotokos!" - wrote the patriarch. His call was taken up by the Russian people. A broad patriotic movement began for the liberation of the capital from the Poles. The first people's (zemstvo) militia was headed by the Ryazan governor Prokopiy Lyapunov. But because of the strife between the nobles and the Cossacks, who, on false charges, killed the governor, the militia disintegrated. The anti-Polish uprising, which began prematurely in Moscow on March 19, 1611, was defeated.

In September 1611, the "trading man", Nizhny Novgorod Zemstvo headman Kuzma Minin appealed to the townspeople with a call to create a people's militia. At a city meeting, he delivered his famous speech: “Orthodox people, let us want to help the Muscovite state, we will not spare our stomachs, but not only our stomachs - we will sell our yards, we will lay down our wives, children and we will beat with a brow so that someone becomes our boss. And what praise will be to all of us from the Russian land that such a great deed will happen from such a small city as ours.

At the call of Minin, the townspeople voluntarily gave "third money" for the creation of the Zemstvo militia. But voluntary contributions were not enough. Therefore, a compulsory collection of the "fifth money" was announced: everyone had to contribute a fifth of their income to the treasury of the militia for the salaries of service people.

At the suggestion of Minin, the 30-year-old Novgorod prince Dmitry Pozharsky was invited to the post of chief governor. Pozharsky did not immediately accept the offer, he agreed to be a governor, on the condition that the townspeople themselves choose an assistant for him, who would be in charge of the treasury of the militia. And Minin became "an elected man by the whole earth." So at the head of the second zemstvo militia were two people elected by the people and invested with its full confidence.

Under the banners of Pozharsky and Minin, a huge army for that time gathered - more than 10 thousand serving local people, up to three thousand Cossacks, more than a thousand archers and many "subsistence people" from the peasants.

Representatives of all estates and all peoples that were part of the Russian state took part in the national militia, in the liberation of the Russian land from foreign invaders.

With the miraculous icon of the Kazan Mother of God, revealed in 1579, the Nizhny Novgorod Zemstvo militia managed on November 4, 1612 to storm Kitai-Gorod and drive the Poles out of Moscow. This victory served as a powerful impetus for the revival of the Russian state. And the icon became a subject of special veneration.

At the end of February 1613, the Zemsky Sobor, which included representatives of all the estates of the country - the nobility, boyars, clergy, Cossacks, archers, black-haired peasants and delegates from many Russian cities, elected Mikhail Romanov (son of Metropolitan Filaret), the first Russian tsar from the dynasty Romanovs. The Zemsky Sobor of 1613 was the final victory over the Time of Troubles, the triumph of Orthodoxy and national unity.

The confidence that it was thanks to the icon of the Kazan Mother of God that the victory was won was so deep that Prince Pozharsky, with his own money, specially built the Kazan Cathedral on the edge of Red Square. Since then, the Kazan icon began to be revered not only as the patroness of the Romanov dynasty, but by decree of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, who ruled in 1645-1676, the obligatory celebration of November 4 was established as a day of gratitude to the Most Holy Theotokos for her help in liberating Russia from the Poles (it was celebrated until 1917). This day entered the church calendar as the Celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in memory of the deliverance of Moscow and Russia from the Poles in 1612.

Thus, National Unity Day is essentially not a new holiday at all, but a return to an old tradition.

On the Day of National Unity in different cities of our country, political parties and social movements organize rallies, marches and concerts, charity events and sporting events.

Who should go to the country or enjoy the last warm sunny days in nature. Russia celebrates National Unity Day on November 4, this day is officially considered a day off.
