DIY puzzles for children from one year old. An entertaining puzzle made from a DIY construction set. Colorful puzzles for children to print for free

Everyone, probably, collected puzzles in childhood - these are pictures that have different sizes and shapes. Such parts have many different squares and figures with convexities. Mostly such crafts are made for children. Puzzles very well develop a child’s thinking, logic, attentiveness and perseverance. In this article we will look at how to make a puzzle with your own hands.

Before making a paper puzzle with your own hands, you need to draw a large picture or print it on a color printer. Then cut into pieces. In addition, little material is needed and everyone should have it.

The following materials are used in creation:

  • thick cardboard;
  • scissors;
  • White paper;
  • PVA glue;
  • ruler;
  • simple and colored pencils;
  • stationery knife.

As an example, let's take a beautiful landscape painting - it is nature against a background with beautiful hills. Now spread PVA glue over the entire surface, without missing a centimeter. This is necessary so that the puzzle that is cut in the future has all the parts glued together.

We wait a while for the glue to dry and turn the picture over.

We glue thick cardboard on the back side for strength. Wait again for it to dry.

Then we draw a grid on the glued cardboard using a pencil and ruler. We draw lines at an angle, one under the left slope, the other under the right. Thus, we get parts of different sizes. Take a utility knife and cut along the lines.

The end result is a puzzle made with your own hands at minimal cost. It's very beautiful to look at you

Good afternoon or evening, brainwashes! Question: what could be better and more interesting than magnificent paintings and photographs? Of course, puzzles are made from these paintings and photographs, but read on to find out how to make them.

If you have a laser cutter, then this brainstorming exactly for you! True, you will also need large-format paintings or photographs, which, like me, can be purchased from street artists or at flea markets, and if you yourself have artistic talent, then this is doubly great.

Step 1: Project

In a vector image program, we create several templates of puzzle elements that will serve as “building blocks” crafts, and then we create a unique layout from these templates. Since the puzzle layout is vector, it can be easily adjusted to the size of the purchased painting. I've attached my own version of the layout, which you can edit or use as the basis for your own new layout.

Step 2: Preparation

Some paintings or photographs are made on dense material that is already suitable for making a puzzle. But if your picture is drawn on thin paper, then simply glue it to a thicker material so that the elements you cut out later homemade products were hard.

Step 3: Cutting

An important point: we scale the layout so that its edges are inside the picture at a distance of at least half a centimeter from its edges. This is necessary so that when cutting you get a high-quality puzzle, all the elements of which have a finished shape, nothing moves and everything is cut as intended.

We place the picture on brain table cutter, set the extreme point and start the cutting process.

Step 4: Enjoy the Puzzle

Our brain trick ready! All that remains is to assemble it slowly and with pleasure.

Good luck with this project and good luck with the build. brain puzzles!

How to make puzzles with your own hands

To make puzzles with your own hands, you need to download the archive, select a file with puzzles, print it, glue it on cardboard, cover it with tape and cut the picture into small pieces along the lines.

If the child is good with scissors, then let him cut out the puzzles himself. Even if he doesn’t cut very smoothly, the picture will still turn out well.

If your baby loves to do appliqués, then you can invite him to glue the puzzle pieces onto a sheet of paper to make a whole picture. Then the sheet with the image does not need to be glued to the cardboard, but simply cut into small pieces and let the child glue them together.

The process of making puzzles for children with your own hands is shown in the photo. Good luck to you!

DIY puzzles. Master class with step-by-step photos

We create puzzles ourselves Master class with step-by-step screenshots

Dear Colleagues! Dear friends! You and I work at school, in the garden at a time when few people are interested in paper illustrations. Modern children enjoy playing computer games and have tablets. Judging by their students, they really love interactive presentations and enjoy working on the interactive whiteboard. And I can no longer imagine a modern lesson without these technical means. I create a lot of presentations myself, not because the ones already created are bad, no. I just like to do everything myself. And my kids put puzzles together with great pleasure, be it a math lesson, a Russian language lesson, or literary reading. It all depends on the illustration, the tasks and the animation you add. I bring to your attention a master class that will help you turn any illustration into a puzzle. Believe me, with this you will diversify your lesson, introduce into it an element of entertainment, clarity and problem-solving, because the child will need to put together a puzzle in order to get an answer to the question posed and consolidate existing knowledge. And sometimes you just need to relax. And so, today we will try to create a presentation - a puzzle based on a postcard from our favorite site “Pantry of Entertainment”

And we will get this puzzle

To work, we will need puzzle templates. I can provide them for you if you don't have them.
Let's get to work.
1. Open the program for creating presentations Power Point, open the slide, select Layout - blank slide

2. We will need a grid, so open the tab View and choose Grid, ruler.

3. Next step: press the right mouse button, select Background format.

4. Choose Figure-File

5. By pressing the button - File, select the drawing that you have prepared and which will be the puzzle.
(I prepared a postcard on the Desk)

6. Press the button Insert. The picture appears on the presentation slide

7. Now we need to cover the drawing with a rectangle so that it does not appear on the slide.
For this we choose Insert - Shapes - Rectangle.

8. We stretch it to cover the entire slide, thus covering the image on it.

9. Choose Shape Format - Fill - white color. Change the color of the rectangle to white.

10. Remove the borders of the picture. Ibid. Figure Format - Figure Outline - No Outline

11. Now it's time to insert the puzzle template. We must prepare it in advance. Open the template, right-click – Copy

12. Insert the template into the Presentation - Insert

13. The slide should look like this

14. Now we stretch it beyond the boundaries of the template to the size of the slide.

15. Now right-click and select - Group - Ungroup

16. Press the right mouse button again and select Object format.

17. In the drop-down tab, select Background fill. You should see our drawing, and on it the contours of the puzzle.

18. Now you need to group the puzzle template so that it takes the frame of the entire picture. To do this, right-click on the figure and select Group -Group.

The puzzle is almost ready, only its parts, the puzzles, are grouped. All that remains is to ungroup them and you can work with the resulting puzzle as you wish: add animation so that the puzzles appear on the slide with the correct answer to the question you prepare: these can be riddles, numerical expressions, rules, vocabulary work - anything , at your request.
I want to show you how to add animation to a puzzle. you can do this in your own way, choosing the animation to your liking.
So
19. Ungroup (right button Group - Ungroup) to customize the animation.

Now the puzzle pieces are moving.

20. Choosing Animation - Animation settings

21. Now we need to select the entire puzzle Add an effect

I chose - Entry-Departure. You can choose any one.
All puzzle pieces will have this animation. But to work with a puzzle, we need the puzzle pieces to appear gradually, one at a time, during the completion of certain tasks. Therefore we choose
Start of effect - After the previous one.

What are puzzles

Puzzle - (from the English puzzle - puzzle, rebus, riddle, difficulty) is a mosaic, a folding picture, a type of puzzle when the whole picture needs to be assembled from several parts.

Nowadays a large number of a wide variety of puzzles are sold, designed for people of different age categories: from one-year-old babies to adults.

The materials from which they are made are very different: wood, plastic, polymers, but the most common and well-known are cardboard puzzles. Also very popular are puzzles that can be played online on the Internet.

Puzzles: benefit or harm

Some people are sure that if specialists work with special children with the help of puzzles, then they are harmful for the mental development of ordinary children.

This is wrong. For example, some children are recommended to exercise for health reasons, but this does not mean that healthy children cannot do them.

Puzzles can only be harmful to small children - they should not be given small elements that a child can swallow, or elements from which a child can bite off a piece.

The materials from which the puzzle is made must be safe for the child, and the level of difficulty must be appropriate for his age.

What are the benefits of puzzles for children?

Like any mosaic or puzzle, puzzles develop:

  • fine motor skills
  • sensory
  • coordination of movements
  • logical thinking
  • spatial perception
  • imagination
  • perseverance

How to make puzzles for children with your own hands

You can buy ready-made puzzles for your child, or you can make them yourself. It's not difficult and won't take much time.

For the very first puzzles, it is better to choose something that the child is interested in in order to interest him.

You can make them by printing them on cardboard (or on plain paper and then gluing them onto the cardboard) and cutting the picture you like from the Internet into pieces. You can also use a variety of waste materials:

  • boxes for packaging toys, gift confectionery sets, sweets, baby food, etc.
  • postcards
  • used coloring pages

How to make puzzles for little ones

Puzzles for very young children should be bright, large and consist of a very small number of elements. It is best to start with pictures cut in half horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

After some time, when this task becomes too easy for the child, these same pictures can be cut into two more parts.

For example, if the picture was cut horizontally, cut it vertically as well. And vice versa. A picture cut diagonally is cut along another diagonal, etc.

The photo shows puzzles that I made for my daughter when she was not yet a year old (the picture with strawberries was originally cut only diagonally).

It is also very convenient for kids to assemble puzzles on flannelgraph, because... the parts do not shift or move out. Pictures can be of any shape. I made ones for my daughter like the ones in this photo from.

How to make puzzles for older children

This photo shows my puzzles from old Soviet postcards with dots and numbers (photo from my other blog).

And on these two are the puzzles that Marina made for her boys (pictures from the Internet with a car and a helicopter are printed, cut and numbered).

Over time, you can cut pictures in the form of classic puzzles, gradually increasing the number of elements. When the child learns to assemble them, you can offer him ready-made puzzles.

For preschoolers, pictures can be cut into a larger number of pieces of different shapes.

I made a puzzle from a postcard with a story about Prostokvashino for my daughter’s New Year’s calendar.

I didn’t take pictures of more complex purchased puzzles, because... and everyone knows what they look like ;)
