Let's create a lush tea rose from foamiran, which can outshine any living flower.
Prepare for work:
- foamiran (green and pastel);
- scissors with sharp blades;
- PVA glue;
- glue gun;
- wire No. 20 and No. 24;
- acrylic paints;
- polymer clay;
- cardboard templates of leaves and petals;
- an impression to create veins on the leaves;
- sponge;
- iron;
- pliers and wire cutters;
- toothpick.

Let's start manufacturing
- Using a toothpick, circle the stencils on a sheet of foamiran.
- Carefully cut out the blanks.
- Make a drop of self-hardening polymer clay. She will be the basis of the rose. If there is no clay, you can use cotton wool or foil. Try to roll the most dense droplet. At the end of the wire number 20, bend a small loop with pliers and grease it with PVA glue. Insert the loop into the thick part of the base drop.
- For realistic petals, tint them with acrylic paints or dry pastels. With a damp sponge, pick up a little paint and apply it on both sides of the blanks. Shade the base of the petal with yellow paint, apply green on top, leaving part of the yellow unpainted. Color the edges of the petal red.
- Gently place the petal on the heated iron. Then quickly fold the hot petal like an accordion.
- Twist the workpiece around the axis several times up to half, starting from the red edge. This will make it thinner and give it a waviness. This is a crucial stage: the petals can accidentally break, so it's better to cut them with a margin.
- Unroll the petal and with two thumbs give it a convex shape.
- For more realism, twist the red part of the petal into a tube on both sides as in the photo.
As a result of all the manipulations, you will get beautiful blanks.
- Now take care of the leaves. Attach the workpiece to a hot iron. After that, firmly press the sheet to the print so that the veins are printed. If you do not have a special mold, you can push the veins with a toothpick or the blunt side of a knife.
- Stretch the edges of the leaf a little to make them wavy. So the workpiece will turn out to be as realistic as possible.
- Heat the sepals on the iron and twist like rose petals. Unroll it and give it a little bulge with your fingers.
- You can collect roses. Place the petals on the same level.
In the first row, use a glue gun to glue three small blanks.
- Cut off the edges of the petals sticking out from below. Then glue the petals from below, lightly press them down, forming a dense bud.
- You can create a second row. It consists of 4 small petals. Stick them in a circle, each petal should half cover the previous one.
- Slightly trim the bottom of 5 large petals.
- From the cut blanks, form the third row.
Already at this stage, a beautiful flower is obtained.
Don't forget to glue the bottom of the petals.
- The fifth row consists of 7 large petals.
- Apply glue at two points on the base of the workpiece.
Admire the result of the work.
- Glue the remaining petals in the same way in the last row (you should have 8 of them, or 10 if you made spare petals). Make sure that the bottom of the rose is neat. To do this, glue the bases of all the petals.
- Apply a drop of glue to the base of the rose and let it harden.
- From green foamiran, cut strips 0.5-0.7 mm wide.
- Cut the end of each ribbon diagonally. Tightly wrap wire #24 with it, after lubricating the tip with glue. Glue the sheet to the wire.
- When sticking the second leaf, hide traces of glue and wire under it.
- Gently glue the sepal to the base of the rose.
- Wrap the flower stem tightly with a ribbon of foamiran.
- Glue the leaves one by one to the unwound pieces of wire.
- Wrap the wire with foamiran and assemble a rosette of three leaves.
- Using a gun, glue the branches with leaves to the stem of the rose.
- We wrap the formed stalk with a strip of foamiran, hiding all traces of glue.
Peony variant
If the previous method of flower formation seemed too complicated for you, pay attention to this master class. Following the step-by-step instructions, you can create a beautiful peony rose.
Necessary materials:
- foamiran (yellow, preferably two shades, and green);
- sharp scissors;
- glue gun;
- wire;
- thick hook;
- ball on the handle;
- thick foam rubber, covered with a dense, lint-free fabric.
Now you can give the blanks a natural shape. All petals, with the exception of the largest, alternately attach to a heated iron. Put the hot plastic blank on the foam rubber and press down in the middle with a hook.
Warm up large petals in the same way, transfer to foam rubber and roll with a ball with force. If you do not have such a ready-made tool, you can attach a large bead to a wooden skewer or knitting needle.
Thread the sepals on a toothpick and attach to the iron. The tips of the petals should curve slightly.
We evaluate the result.
Take thin wire. Cut 4 pieces, bend a small loop at the end of each.
Glue 3 small petals on each wire. Their edges should look in one direction.
Now glue 4 petals of the next size onto these blanks.
Form the third layer by sticking 3 more petals on each blank.
Twist the blanks in pairs.
Twist the resulting blanks again into one common middle of the flower.
Glue the bottom in a circle, first 4 darker, and then light petals. Next, fix the largest ones, each new petal should half cover the previous one. Attach the sepal last.
For greater realism of the flower, add small bright petals to the middle of the rose with a toothpick.
If you want to achieve perfection, you can lightly tint the edges of the petals with yellow (use dry pastel or acrylic paint).
The masterpiece is ready. You can complement the rose with leaves, attach a pin to it and use it as a brooch or glue it to a hair band. The choice is yours.
Wreath of small roses
If one rose is not enough for you, you can collect a whole bouquet of them. Be patient - as a result of simple but painstaking work, you will get a chic headband from unblown rose buds.
Prepare materials:
- foamiran for flowers and leaves;
- thin wire for roses and thicker wire for the base of the wreath;
- wire cutters and pliers;
- glue gun;
- green teip tape;
- nail scissors;
- quick-drying glue;
- optionally - an imprint for the leaves and paint for the petals.
Alternately apply the petals to an iron heated to 100 degrees, and then twist around its axis. Then straighten the blanks and form bulges with your fingers.
Cut a thin wire into pieces of 4-5 centimeters. Bend a loop at the end of each. From the gun, grease the petal with glue and wrap tightly around the wire.
Wrap the second petal around the first, glue the third in the same way.
Add more petals, placing them on the same level. With an increase in the bud, glue the blanks less tightly. In the photo, a finished rose of 8 petals.
Cut out the leaves and sepals from the green foamiran. Make small notches along the edges of each pattern.
Heat the sepals on an iron and twist. After heating, immediately press the leaves to the print to create a relief. You can simply push through the veins with a toothpick.
This result is worth the effort.
String a sepal on the wire with a bud and secure it with glue from a gun. Fix the leaves to the wire with quick-drying glue.
Similarly, continue to make small closed foamiran roses. Their exact number depends on the volume and collection scheme of the desired rim.
To form a wreath, attach blanks with roses to a thick wire, fixing them with a teip tape. The type of finished product depends only on your desire.
You can complement the composition with white or contrasting large roses.
Make loops at the ends of the wreath and thread the tape through them to adjust the size, or simply connect the ends of the wire. Your shiny accessory is ready.
Small unopened bud
If you want to try your hand, but starting with large projects is scary, take note of the simplified way to create roses. In this MK, the tools and materials are similar to the previous options, and you will make the base of the flower from ordinary foil.The result of the work is a closed goblet-shaped bud that will decorate a hairpin, hairpin or hair band.

Foamiran is a very plastic foam rubber that feels like thin suede to the touch. Flowers made from this material are almost indistinguishable from real ones. They are used for interior compositions, attached to brooches or clothes.
Foamiran is used to create various volumetric decorative figures. A flower can be one-color, two-color or multi-colored - it all depends on the desire of the master. It can be standard or peony, with or without a stem.
The rose can be small or large, used as a brooch or for photo shoots.
Following these instructions, you can make a beautiful and simple rose from foma. Such a flower can be used as a decoration for hair clips or elastic bands.
From the tools you will need:
- Pencil.
- Long skewer.
- Scissors.
- Iron.
- Glue gun.
- Sponge.
To create you need:
- Cardboard.
- Wheat groats.
- Foamiran.
- Cotton buds.
- Acrylic paints.
- First, we draw templates on a paper sheet or print out ready-made ones. There should be two small templates with four petals, two medium ones with four and three large ones with five. We also draw a sepal with five leaves.
- We prepare two foma sheets (one pink, the other green), 1 mm thick.
- With a skewer or toothpick we transfer the contours to foamiran from paper.
- We cut out the blanks according to the resulting contour: two small ones with four, two medium ones with four, three with five and one sepal.
- We take a cotton swab, which will become the basis, cut off the tip wrapped with cotton wool. From the other end, we smear the cotton wool with hot glue from the glue gun and dip it in millet or semolina.
- Until the glue is completely dry, we form it with our fingers with a diameter of about a centimeter.
- Paint the balloon with pink acrylic paint.
- We heat the iron weakly and, in turn, apply blanks to the iron to heat them.
The iron should not be warm, but not hot (silk-wool mode).
- After that, immediately press the petal to the sponge and press it with your finger to bend it, then gently pull from the edge and the middle, making it wavy. We repeat the same steps with each.
- We prepare the rest, cut out the leaves of the sepals, bend them and give them a wavy shape. Cutting through the leaves, we do not reach the very middle.
- We pierce the middle of the workpiece with four petals with a skewer or toothpick. We put them on a stick, moving closer to the ball.
- We glue them in turn and form a bud, applying a little glue.
- We put on medium blanks, arranging them so that they close the gaps between the petals in the first row. We stick on in turn, lightly start one by one.
- We repeat the same steps with the next row (each closes the space between the previous two).
- We glue all the remaining petals, completing.
- Cut off the tube from the cotton swab at the base of the flower. You can glue a hair clip or hair band.
A simple rose for decoration is ready. Even a beginner can do it. Such a flower does not have a stem, and therefore it can be used for various hair ornaments.

According to this instruction, we will make a large foamiran tea rose. In diameter, the flower reaches 65 cm, the height of the stem is 1.8-2 m. Such huge flowers are used for photo shoots, decorating rooms and various festive events.
In this master class, the rose should turn out to be open, it can also be made in the form of a bud, increasing the number of petals and placing them more densely.
For manufacturing you will need:
- Three meters of plastic-metal pipe.
- Scotch.
- Four sheets of pink foamiran.
- stapler.
- Corrugated green paper.
- Half a leaf of green foamiran.
- Cardboard.
- Tape green color.
- Second glue and hot glue gun.
- Six tubes rolled from newspapers and cardboard.
Step by step instructions
- We take pink foamiran and bend it in half twice, then cut it into rectangles 30 * 35 cm in size (we need six pieces). Two other rectangles are cut out from another sheet. We fold the sheets in half and cut out the petals from them.
- We cut the remaining sheet of foamiran into two squares 30 * 30 cm in size. We need six of these squares, so we cut the rest from the third sheet. From these squares we will cut out the same blanks, but smaller in size.
- We divide the fourth sheet into three parts (on the side 60 cm long) so that we get rectangles 70 * 20 cm, with a side of 70 cm. We cut out rectangles 20 * 26 cm from them, and then blanks of the same shape.
- We stretch the blanks by the edges, making them wavy. Stretching the largest ones, we retreat from the bottom by 10 cm. We process everything in this way.
Base making
- For the base of our flower, we cut out a square from cardboard 20 * 20, round off the edges. We make folds at the petals in their lower part, fixing with a stapler.
- On the largest blanks (first and second rows), we form three folds. For the third row, we make two folds.
- We retreat five cm from the edge of the base, glue the first petal. After we glue the second and third rows, closing the gaps.
- From the remaining material we cut out petals 12 * 15 cm, there should be six of them. We give them the desired shape, make one fold and glue the fourth row. We do the same with the fifth row.
- We heat the blanks on a warm iron (“silk-wool” mode). We fold them into an accordion and grind them between our fingers, straighten them and give a convex shape. We make waves on the blanks.
- We glue the remaining material, twisted into a funnel, in the middle. At this stage, a tea rose without a stem can be considered finished. You can make a mount at the base of the flower, glue the sepals and hang on the wall.
- In this master class, we will make a stem. We take 6-7 newspaper tubes, insert them into a plastic-metal pipe, note the length by which the tubes fit into the pipe.
- According to the mark made, we strongly smear the tubes with glue. We glue the prepared fastener with the base and spread it with glue.
- We put a plastic-metal pipe on the mount and smear it well with glue. If you are going to make a removable rose, then you do not need to smear with glue.
- To form a sepal, you need to take a half from a leaf of green foamiran. We cut out the sepal leaves from it (there should be 6-8 of them). We cut them, fold them into an accordion and then rub them with our fingers, then glue them, closing the base of the flower.
- After the sepal is ready, we begin to process the stem. To do this, take corrugated paper (to save teip tape). It is needed so that the stem does not shine through.
- After the paper, wrap the stem with teip tape. The tea growth rose is ready. Use it as room decoration or for photo shoots. It is no worse than large indoor flowers and palm trees.
peony rose
This is a great option for those who find other master classes too difficult. This rose differs from other species, since its bud consists of petals twisted into a spiral and close to each other.
To create you need:
- Scissors.
- Foamiran (yellow and green).
- Thick hook.
- Hot glue gun.
- Ball on the handle.
- Wire.
- A little thick foam rubber covered with a dense, lint-free fabric.
First you need to make blanks of leaves and petals. You can use cardboard to create blanks of the desired shape, or you can immediately cut them out of foamiran. Details that differ slightly in shape and contour will make the product more realistic.
We cut out twelve small blanks from yellow foamiran and six of the same other shade of yellow.
Advice
If there is no foamiran of different shades, we use the material of the same color.
We give the petals a more realistic look and shape. All but the largest are pressed against a heated iron. We put the hot part on the foam rubber and press it down with a hook in the middle.
In the same way, we heat up large workpieces, transfer them to foam rubber and roll them with a ball. If there is no ball, take a large bead and attach it to a skewer or knitting needle.
Assembly
We string the sepals on a toothpick and apply to the iron. We bend the ends a little. We take a thin wire and cut off 4 pieces from it, at each end we bend a small loop.
We glue three blanks on each of the pieces of wire, their edges should be directed in one direction. We glue four more on these blanks. Then we form the third layer and glue three petals on each blank.
We twist the resulting blanks in pairs. Then we twist the blanks again and place them in a common middle. We glue four darker (if you use foamiran of two different shades) petals from below, then lighter ones.
Each new sheet should cover the junction of two from the previous row. The last to glue the sepals.
Also, to give realism, you can slightly tint the edges of the petals with yellow. For this we use acrylic paints or dry pastels.
The peony rose is ready. You can attach leaves, a pin, wear it as a brooch or attach it to a hair band.
Step-by-step instruction
- We take 2 strips of material, 5 cm wide and 24 cm long, and 4 * 36 cm. We cut the strips, six rectangles 5 * 4 cm and twelve - 4 * 3 cm should be obtained from them. Cut out blanks from them.
- We spread them on office paper, put a second sheet on top. We go through the iron several times on both sides until the workpieces become thinner.
- We paint the tips of large blanks with red oil pastels. Fold them into an accordion, grind between your fingers. We straighten them and give them a convex shape.
- We fold the small blanks into an accordion and repeat with them all the same actions as with the large ones. We glue the blanks in pairs.
- We cut off a piece of foil 12 * 12 and roll a ball out of it, which will become the base of the flower. Glue the petals to it from all sides.
Step-by-step instruction
- We form the top of the center, glue the rest and the bottom, cutting off the excess. It turns out a button. We glue together small blanks and glue the bud in the middle.
- We cut out the leaves from green foamiran, paint with green oil pastel, and the edges of the leaves with pink. We shade the paint with a sponge.
- We cut out the veins on the leaves, then we process it with an iron at a low temperature, and then we squeeze it out with the help of a mold, we fix the rose with a clip. The little rose is ready.
Rose from a brilliant foamiran
A rose from a brilliant foamiaran turns out to be very bright. It can be used as an accessory or to give the interior a more joyful look.
It will require:
- Iron.
- Glue gun.
- PVA glue.
- Foamiran of any color.
- Acrylic or pastel paints for toning.
- Paper for creating stencils. You can also find a template on the Internet and print it.
- Small sponge.
- Polymer clay.
- Scissors.
- Wire #26.
- Cardboard.
- Pliers.
- A set of toothpicks.
- Mold for highlighting the veins on the leaves.
It is not necessary to use all the materials listed in the list. This list is suitable for people who are professionally involved in creating roses from foamiran.
Step-by-step instruction
- We make a pattern on paper. After we cut out the templates and apply them to the foamiran, cutting out the blanks. The contour of the parts on the foamiran can be drawn with a sharp toothpick or a plastic knife.
- We take a sheet of thick paper or cardboard. We draw on it the future petal or leaf. In shape, it should resemble a stretched drop.
- For beginners or those who draw poorly, it is better to copy from the finished image or print templates. We cut out elements from paper and apply them to a sheet of foamiran.
- We cut out the elements on the foamiran according to the template. This should be done not with a pencil, but with a toothpick or a plastic knife. According to the resulting contour, we cut out the petal.
We cut out the number of details we need (depending on the size of the flower). The more petals, the more magnificent it will be. It is better to cut out a few spare parts if you can’t make a neat blank the first time.
Rose base
Take polymer clay. We make a small drop out of it, put it on the end of the wire. After we lubricate the base with glue and fasten it to the workpiece. Instead of polymer clay, you can take cotton wool.
Sponge paint the base in the color we want. Most often, red or pink paint is used. We dilute acrylic with water and apply to the workpiece.
Lightly ironed with a hot iron cut petals. Then we fold them in half and twist them so that they become thinner and can be wrapped inward. At this stage, spare blanks may be needed, as they often break during twisting.
Paint the leaves green. Stretch them a little with your fingers to give them a more natural look. We twist the leaves.
Slightly stretch the tip of each petal, making it more wavy. We give the petals a convex shape (you can do this with your fingers or a ball). We tint the edges of the leaves, applying paint with a sponge.
Glue petals and leaves around the clay base. We glue the leaves with an overlap, closing the previous one with the end of each new petal. We slightly bend the top of each so that the rose looks like a real one.
We start with the smallest petals, wrapping them around the base close to each other. At the initial stage, a kind of bud should turn out. We glue the petals of medium size, covering with each petal a small part of the previous one.
We bend the edge of the last petal under the very first petal. We glue the sepals, placing its leaves in the right directions.
Rose on a stem
A foamiran rose on a stem can even replace a real one. It is not suitable for a brooch, but it can be safely decorated with a room.
To create a rose you will need:
- Glue gun.
- Wire #24 and #20.
- Templates for petals and leaves made of cardboard.
- Green and pastel foamiran.
- Acrylic paints.
- Impression for veins on leaves.
- PVA glue.
- Sponge.
- Sharp scissors.
- Polymer clay.
- Iron.
- Nippers and pliers (for wire).
- Toothpicks.
Let's draw patterns of petals and leaves on cardboard. You also need a template for the sepals.
Circle the contour of the cardboard stencil on a sheet of foamiran with a toothpick. Let's cut out these blanks.
We blind the base in the form of a drop of self-hardening polymer clay. Instead of clay, foil or cotton wool is suitable. The base should not be loose.
Take wire No. 20 and bend a small loop with pliers, smear it with glue. We will stick a loop from the wide part of the base.
Making petals
To give the petals a more natural look, paint the edges with dry pastel or acrylic. To do this, we wet the sponge, pick up paint with it and tint the petals on each side. Shade the lower edges of the petals with yellow, then apply a little green on top, tint the edges of the petals with red.
We heat the petal with a warm iron (“silk-wool” mode), then fold it like an accordion. Twist the petal halfway around the axis several times, starting from the red edge. This will make the petal thinner and wavy (at this stage they often break, so you need to cut out a few spare ones).
We unwind the petal and make it convex. To give a more natural look, we twist the painted part into the tube on both sides.
We will attach the leaf blanks to a warm iron, then press them to the mold to make veins. Instead of an impression, you can use toothpicks or a plastic knife.
Slightly stretch the edges of the sheet, giving them a wavy shape. We heat the sepal with an iron and twist its leaves like petals. We unwind with our fingers, make the petals convex.

We collect our rose, placing the petals at the same level. We glue the three smallest in the first row with a glue gun. We cut off the protruding edges below and glue the petals down, pressing them down and folding them into a bud.
We collect the second row of four small petals. We glue the overlap, the petals should close the joints of the two on the previous row.
Slightly trim the five largest petals from the bottom and form the next row of scraps. We glue the blanks from below.
For the fifth row, we take seven large petals, smear glue on two points of the base. Glue the remaining petals in the last row (there should be 8-10 if you cut out spare petals). The bottom of the flower must be carefully arranged.
We glue the petals of the base, apply a drop of glue at the base and wait until it hardens. Cut out strips 0.5-0.7 cm wide from a green sheet of foamiran.
We cut off the tip of each strip obliquely and tightly wrap wire No. 24 with it, smearing it with glue before that. Glue the sheet to the wire. When gluing the second sheet, carefully hide the visible glue and wire under it.
Glue the sepal next to the base. We wrap the stem with foamiran tape and glue the leaves to it in those places where the wire is visible.
We wrap the wire with green material and assemble a socket of three leaves. With a glue gun, glue the branches with leaves to the very bottom of the stem.
We wrap the resulting stem with a strip of foamiran so as to hide the glue. At this stage, the rose on the stem can be considered finished. Now you can decorate rooms with this beautiful flower or use it for photo shoots.

There are also a huge number of shades of a feminine flower, so a delicate rose is a versatile and basic flower in order to create realistic compositions. On its basis, you can easily make the most interesting bouquets, because these graceful flowers are combined with almost any other. Foamiran, unfortunately, does not give aroma, like products using the kanzashi technique, but you can make a beautiful flower out of it that will decorate a brooch, hairpin or other item. This master class on foamiran for beginners will clearly tell you step by step how to make various types of roses.
For manufacturing, it is necessary to prepare marshmallow foamiran of pink and purple color. As well as superglue, a lighter, purple oil pastels, foil, a hair clip, an elastic band for hair or a brooch.
The creation master class is carried out in stages as follows:
- Any crafts begin with a pattern. It is necessary to cut 3 types of petals according to the indicated sizes.
- Next comes the manufacture of the petals themselves. The smallest are light, medium and large are dark. When the petals are cut out, they need to be shaped by heating with a lighter and tinted with pastel.
- The next step is to create the middle of the foil rose. It needs to be twisted. The size of the middle of the flower should be as follows: height 2-2.5 cm, bottom diameter 1.5 cm. The middle must be wrapped in a small petal.
- Next, you need to collect the flower in a circle, gluing the petals, one after another. You will get a kind of Esperanza.
- Then you need to attach the meringue rose to an elastic band or hairpin. The stem is not needed for this craft.
This is how easy it is to make an original decoration.
Small foamiran roses
A creative project can include not only large flowers, small roses look very gentle and touching. Making beautiful mini flowers is not difficult.
For work you will need:
- Marshmallow foamiran pink;
- Leaves are made from green foma;
- Mold for leaves;
- Pastel;
- Super glue;
- A4 paper;
- Foil;
- Iron;
