Shatush for short curly hair. Tips from hairdressers about coloring and caring for hair after dyeing "shatush". Difference from other techniques

The combination of a short haircut and dyeing using the shatush technique is exactly this style that the star beauties from the red carpets fell in love with so much. The Italian staining method is capable of literally turn you into another person. After the shatush procedure for short hair, you will forget about yesterday's gray everyday life and surround yourself with admiring glances and a continuous stream of compliments.

Basic principles of technique for short haircuts

Short haircuts, such as pixie, page or bob, are much more difficult to color using the shatush technique than long hair. Following a number of rules will help you get the desired color gradient:

  • The strands are colored alternately, as in classic highlighting, but without foil.
  • It is necessary to leave about one centimeter of the roots intact. This will help to avoid continuous discoloration.
  • The effect of a smooth transition is achieved by fleece.
  • There is no single correct color scheme. Everything is selected individually, based on the specific hair length, structure, color and shape of the haircut.
  • Need to forget about saving and choose professional coloring products. This will improve the quality of the result.

The specifics of the technique for short hair

In order to be sure of the readiness to paint curls with the shatush technique, check out all the pros and cons of this technique.

How to do it right at home

Hair preparation

In order for the paint to lie well and the hair structure not to be injured after the procedure, it is necessary to carry out preparatory work three weeks before dyeing.

Decide on how to do it

Coloring using the shatush technique for short haircuts can be done in two ways:

  • using fleece;
  • without fleece.

Shatush using fleece

First stage: we comb the hair with high quality, achieving an absolutely smooth state without tangles. We divide in a chaotic manner into strands two centimeters thick.

Second phase: starting from the roots, we comb each strand in order. Light fleece - if you want an expressive color transition, strong - if the transition is planned to be smooth.

Third stage: following the instructions on the dye box, prepare the mixture in a non-metallic (!) vessel. With a hairdressing brush, we stretch the bleaching agent through the hair, retreating from the roots one and a half or two centimeters. We pay special attention to the strands that frame the face. This will give you the most natural effect.

The percentage of oxidizing agent is selected individually, based on the main color and structure of the hair. Light brown or thin hair is best bleached using a 3% oxidizer, dark or dense hair using a 6% (in some cases 9%) oxidizer. For fair-haired girls, the stage of preliminary hair bleaching should be skipped and go directly to tinting.

Fourth stage: waiting for the required time. It depends on the initial tone of the hair and the expected result and varies from ten minutes to half an hour. Rinse the dye from the hair with warm water and deep cleaning shampoo.

Fifth stage: if the color of the clarified strands satisfies, proceed to the next step. If not, we tint the length with paint. Apply the mixture with your hands, but be sure to wear gloves. We rub the paint with light massaging movements.

Stage six: After fifteen minutes, wash off the dye and apply a mask or deep moisturizing balm to the curls.

Shatush without using fleece

If in the case of the first method of coloring it can be easily reproduced at home, then only a true master can use such a technique as shatush without using a pile. The technique is very capricious and demanding for perfectly accurate application of the coloring composition. This method can be found in the video, which is presented below in the article.

Photo variations of coloring shatush for short hair

Shatush for short hair with bangs in the photo

If the haircut is made with bangs, then the emphasis in coloring should be shifted to it and to the strands that are near the face.

Looks the most advantageous and natural. Especially if it is an elongated bob haircut with light waves.

Shatush for very short hair with a photo

On very short hair, this technology is used extremely rarely, since the effect of artificial hair is created.

Shatush on dark short hair with a photo

On dark hair, shatush is most noticeable. The resulting contrast of colors is able to give the face a “after vacation” look and “obscure” minor imperfections.

Shatush on blond short hair with a photo

Often on light curls, shatush looks inexpressive and faded. But it is this effect that captivates many fashionistas.

Precautionary measures

Shatush for short hair is extremely rare, but if you manage to find an excellent master, the effect will be just super!

What is a shatush?

This incomprehensible word hides one of the highlighting options, which creates a very fashionable transition from dark to light shades.

Coloring in the style of shatush has a lot of important advantages:

  • It looks very natural due to the chaotic arrangement of colored strands, smooth color transitions and the correct selection of colors. Everything will look as if you just returned from an overseas resort, and did not sit for two hours in a beauty salon;
  • Gives the female hairstyle the desired volume and texture;
  • Refreshes the appearance, makes the face younger;
  • Perfectly structures the tips and emphasizes the beauty of short haircuts;
  • The paint can be applied not only to the entire hair, but also to individual zones (bangs or strands near the face);
  • It does not require frequent corrections - a repeated procedure can be carried out no earlier than in 3-4 months;
  • Makes natural color bright and very deep;
  • Disguises gray hair;
  • Allows you to use not only ammonia paints, but also tint agents, as well as natural compounds;
  • Suitable for any type of hair (normal, oily, dry, straight or curly);
  • Bears minimal harm to the health of the hair.

How to choose the right color?

Having decided on the procedure, do not forget to choose the most beautiful shade. So, on light and blond hair, such tones ideally fit:

  • Beige;
  • Pearl;
  • Wheat;
  • Golden;
  • Caramel;
  • Ashen;
  • Walnut.
  • Honey;
  • Light brown;
  • Chestnut;
  • Walnut;
  • Golden;
  • Wheat.

As for the red-haired girls, they were much less fortunate. Firstly, red hair practically does not fade in the sun. Secondly, it is difficult even for an experienced master to choose a shade that is ideal for toning. Experts recommend stopping at flowers, a couple of tones lighter.

How to prepare your hair for dyeing shatush?

Hair coloring in this technique requires some preparation, which should be started three to four weeks before the procedure. It consists of several important points:

  • Regularly make masks that improve and restore the hair structure;
  • Trim split ends;
  • Wash your hair two to three days before coloring. Later, you should not do this - wash off the protective layer. In addition, the active substances of the shampoo almost always remain on the hair, which can react with the coloring composition;
  • Styling products during this period are also better not to use;
  • If shatush is performed on dyed hair, pre-dye the hair in the base color. It is advisable to do this with the same master as the highlighting itself;
  • Do an allergy test to avoid unpleasant surprises.

Shatush painting technique

Shatush coloring is of two types:

  1. With a fleece - classic.
  2. Without bouffant.

Let's consider each of them.

Shatush with fleece

Staining in this technique is carried out in several stages:

Stage 1. Comb your hair and randomly select a few thin strands. Their width should not exceed a couple of centimeters.

Stage 2. Comb each of these strands with a comb.

Stage 3. In a glass bowl, prepare a clarifier and apply it to combed hair with a special brush. The intensity of the product depends on the thickness of the hair and is selected individually:

  • For thin hair - 3% brightener;
  • For thick hair - 12%.

Attention! Blondes can not lighten their hair, but immediately start toning!

Be sure to step back a few centimeters from the roots or color only half of the entire length. Movements should be soft, smooth. Your main task is to stretch the composition towards the tips. Thanks to the pile, the clarifier will lie unevenly, which will provide such an amazing effect. If you want to achieve sharper edges, do not make the bouffant big. And one more thing - special attention should be paid to the area around the face. This will allow you to get the maximum effect of the strands burnt out in the sun.

Step 4. Wait for the right time (10-30 minutes - depends on the original hair color and the desired result) and rinse the dye with water.

Stage 5. If you like the color of the clarified tips, proceed to the next step. If not, apply a tinting dye over the entire length. For a full effect, remember the hair with your hands, rubbing the paint without residue.

Step 6. Wait 10-15 minutes and wash it off with water.

Step 7. Apply a moisturizing balm or mask.

Step 8. Wash your hair after 10 minutes.

If the first option can be safely repeated at home, then the technique without fleece is available only to real professionals. This coloring technique requires special skill, as the coloring composition is applied to smooth strands either by hand or with a brush.

Care after the procedure

Having decided to make a shatush for short hair, take care of proper care:

  • Choose a shampoo and conditioner for colored or highlighted hair. It is advisable to take funds from one line;
  • If the strands become brittle and dry, use silicone-based cosmetics - such products create a protective film on the hair;
  • Regularly apply nourishing masks (homemade or professional). Fruit, honey, egg, kefir, oil, as well as herbal decoctions are perfect;
  • Wash your hair very carefully. The water should not be hot, and at the end, pour cold water over your hair;
  • Exposure to thermal styling products should be kept to a minimum. And even more so, you can’t use a hairdryer or ironing daily;
  • Do not go in the heat without a hat - UV damages the hair;
  • If possible, take a course of salon care (keratin masks, lamination or mesotherapy).

To date, a large number of various stains have appeared. And if earlier it was possible to add light strands only with the help of highlighting, today technologies allow us to change the color in a less gentle way and at the same time get a rather interesting and beautiful transition. In coloring, hairdressers can use the techniques of shatush, ombre, balayage and others.

What is a shatush

Shatush is one of the most popular coloring techniques, which consists in lightening with a smooth transition to darker shades. In this case, the dye is applied to strands of different thicknesses, retreating a considerable distance from the roots. Due to the fact that about half the length of the hair is dyed, the procedure can be repeated about 1 time in 3 months.

Most often, curls of medium length or longer are subjected to such staining. Only an experienced craftsman can make short shatush.

Shatush features for short hair

Shatush is a technique that allows you to change the shade, but the color remains more natural. If you have to dye short hair, then the result will no longer be the same. The difference will be much more visible. Therefore, if you have short hair and you definitely want this particular color change method, then it is better to turn to a real professional with this. But just keep in mind that the result will be different from the photos that show this technique.

Who will suit

This coloring method looks most successful on those who naturally have light shades, such as light brown, blond, brown-haired. For those who have darker colors, one of the varieties of shatush is great - California highlighting. And of course, it is best suited for long and medium hair.

Also, this technique is chosen by women who already have gray hair. But it is suitable only for those whose gray hair takes no more than 30%.

Shatush will also help add a little volume to the curls if they are naturally thin and not very thick.

Shatush shade palette

So, the shades for it may differ. It all depends on the original color:

For a shatush of light and blond hair, the following shades are best suited:

  • pearl;
  • wheat;
  • beige;
  • ashen;
  • walnut;
  • caramel;
  • golden.

The following shades are suitable for dark hair:

  1. walnut;
  2. wheat;
  3. fair-haired;
  4. chestnut;
  5. golden;
  6. honey.

Shatush on light and dark short hair

For those who have dark hair, you can choose shades for dyeing a little lighter than the original color, by about 2-3 tones. Then the result will be more natural.

Blondes can experiment with colors and choose darker tones.

For those who have light brown hair, you can make shatush with both light and dark dyes.

How is it performed

Staining according to this technique is performed in two ways. You can do bouffant before applying paint, or you can do it without it.

What is necessary:

  • paint - 2-3 packs, depending on the number of shades chosen;
  • tinting agent, if necessary;
  • brush for applying paint;
  • comb;
  • gloves.

Hair preparation

You need to prepare your hair for coloring long before this day. In about 2-3 weeks, you need to do the following:

  • During the entire preparation time, make masks 2-3 times a week. Nourishing, moisturizing, vitamin, any;
  • Also during this period, it is advisable to contact to the hairdresser and cut split ends;
  • Wash your head 2 days before staining;
  • On the day of dyeing you can not use various styling products;
  • If the main length needs staining, then you first need to paint the entire length in the base color. You can start shatush after 1-2 weeks.

Coloring

Consider how staining is done in this technique with a fleece:

  1. Comb the curls and select a few strands. The width of each of them should be no more than 2-3 cm;
  2. Now you need to comb each of the selected strands;
  3. Once everything is prepared, you can start mixing paint or clarifier with an oxidizing agent. If you have thin hair, then an oxidizing agent of 3% is recommended for you, and if you have thick hair, then you can use 6.9 or 12%;
  4. Next, apply the paint with a special brush on the prepared strands. It is necessary to apply paint retreating from the roots a few centimeters. You can color the strands from the middle to the very ends.
  5. Gently apply the coloring composition. Strands near the face can be lightened more strongly and along the entire length. This method will allow you to slightly refresh the complexion;
  6. Now leave the paint for the time indicated on the package, or watch in the process. Everything will still depend on the base color and quality of the hair:
  7. After this, you wash off the paint, you need to apply a tinting agent. In this case, the product must be well rubbed into dyed hair;
  8. Tonic should remain for about 15 minutes, then it needs to be washed off;
  9. Apply a balm or mask after tonic. But only this time you need to hold these funds for about 10 minutes and then wash off.

The shatush technique without fleece differs from the previous one, in that you are unlikely to be able to perform it at home. For this option, the hand of a master is needed.

What colors are suitable

Shades that suit a particular color have been listed above. But if you want to completely change the color, then you need to start from the main color, in which you will succeed and after that select the shades for the shatush.

If the coloring falls on the warm season, then keep in mind that the strands closer to the face quickly fade in the sun. Part of the hairstyle on the back of the head practically does not change its color under the influence of the sun.

The paint for the shatush, or rather the clarifier, is chosen by the master himself, who will perform the entire procedure. On your own, you can choose the brand that you have trusted for a long time. But if you have not used a clarifier yet, then first do a sensitivity test. Masters in salons use paints Estelle, Matrix, Loreal and others.

Care

Since during the procedure the strands are clarified, which means they become drier, after they need special care:

  • Replace your usual shampoo and balm with those that are designed for colored hair;
  • For dry hair, styling products that contain silicone are recommended. They will perfectly protect curls;
  • Keep making nourishing masks;
  • Try to reduce the use of hair dryer and straightener for styling;
  • Cover your head in the sun to further dry out your hair.

Advantages and disadvantages

The benefits include:

  1. it is not necessary to maintain staining every month;
  2. the change in hue is noticeable, but the transition is very smooth;
  3. suitable for those who do not want to lighten completely because of the existing gray hair;
  4. one of the most gentle ways to lighten curls.

The disadvantages include the following:

  1. does not look on short hairstyles;
  2. not suitable for blondes, or rather not so noticeable.

If you want to change, but do not want to radically change the color, then shatush in this case is a great option. But if you still have short hair, then you should pay attention to other methods of dyeing.

And due to the fact that part of the hair undergoes lightening, care for them after this procedure will be significantly different from what you are used to. So be prepared to change most shampoos and conditioners. But on the other hand, you will undoubtedly like the result of professional staining and proper care.

Among the technologies in hair coloring, Shatush technology is among the most popular. Its essence lies in an unsharp, smooth transition from dark to light. At the time of fashion for everything natural (speaking of makeup and haircuts), this method will be very appropriate and harmonious. Imagine that the summer sun "burns out" your hair: it just turns out that the hair just burned out in the sun, each strand with a different intensity. This technique is not only fashionable and stylish, but also the most gentle for the head.

The shatush hair coloring technique was invented specifically for dark hair in order to emphasize their beauty, volume, and also to give freshness to the image of a brunette. Now we will get acquainted with the most popular coloring techniques, and also tell you how to make shatush yourself at home.

Why do we choose "shatush"?

  • The cuticle of the hair remains almost intact;
  • Creates volume and splendor, which was not there before;
  • Due to hair growth, there is no noticeable contrast between the colored part and your natural color, therefore, it is not necessary to visit the hairdresser every month;
  • There are no restrictions in the choice of haircuts, styling;
  • "Problematic" gray hair is no longer an unsolvable problem;
  • The choice of dyes is quite diverse: both natural and artificial (natural, of course, is preferable, since in addition to the coloring effect, they also have a healing effect);
  • With this technique, you can also “repaint”, i.e. get away from a boring or unsuccessful color;
  • This type does not take a lot of time.

With all the versatility of this method, it is still more suitable for dark-haired people. Two adjacent tones in the palette are selected and, when painted, smoothly transition from dark to light along the entire length of the strands. That's right, because regrown, light-colored roots do not look very attractive. Unfortunately for the gray-haired, this technique will be aesthetic if the percentage of gray hair does not exceed thirty. Among the most used tones, I would like to mention all the “bread” shades, the colors of walnut, gold, ash-pearl.

How not to be confused with ombre and highlighting shatush?

1. With ombre, there is no feeling of naturally faded hair, due to the fact that the ends of the hair are dyed and the transition is quite clearly visible from tone to tone. With the shatush technique, strands that are unpainted or as if burnt out are arranged as they should, scattered. This detail creates a certain resemblance to another technique in coloring - this is balayage.

2. With ombre, “walking” from tone to tone occurs in both directions: from dark to light, then back: from light to dark. If the shatush is recommended for brunettes and brown-haired women, then the ombre is wider in use, falls on any original color. If in our technique the paint is applied to the entire length, then in the ombre it is almost always from the middle (the original shade is left from the root to the middle). The range of tones here remains closer to natural, and the ombre allows any extravagant tone. And then, ombre “horizontal method”: the dye is applied horizontally, and therefore more striking, brighter.

3. The classics of highlighting does not imply, like shatush, the technique of “stretching the tone”. It is noteworthy that this coloring option occurs outdoors, not indoors. Hair acquires vitality, natural strength, attractiveness. After performing this coloring, the result is similar to California highlighting.

Shatush technique: salon version

  • All hair must be divided into strands two centimeters long;
  • Coloring begins with the lower strands, in connection with this, with the help of clips, the entire upper part of the hair is fixed;
  • The hair roots remain unchanged, and the strand is combed and then the dye is applied in short, jerky strokes;
  • The longer the dye stays on the hair, the lighter the tone you achieve: ten minutes is enough to achieve a natural, natural shade, thirty minutes of dyeing makes the hair very light. Choose the number of minutes in this time interval, having decided in advance with the desired shade;
  • Painting requires thorough washing, and with plenty of running water;
  • It is better to use a tinting agent to neutralize the clarifier.

The difference between shatush, balayazh and armoring techniques

Hairdressers know that when bronzing, coloring tones range between blond and shades of brown. As a result, we will see a brown-haired woman with hair faded in the bright sun, a shade of golden honey or creamy caramel. The range between shades should not be more than three. Visual volume is provided by a soft, smooth transition from shade to shade.

If you imagine a trace of a panicle on wet sand, then you can easily understand the essence of the balayage technique (derived from the French word, which means "revenge" in Russian). The master smoothly applies paint to the strands with a brush, sweeping away like leaves on the sidewalk. To a greater extent, strokes are swept in a horizontal direction along the top of the hair. It turns out the appearance of burnt hair. Unlike sombre and ombre, as well as -, this technique means clarity in execution and is not suitable for those who want to fundamentally become different in appearance. The shatush method is not very different from the above techniques, its advantage is a minimum of time costs and ease of implementation.

Highlights in California (special shatush technique)

Helps protect hair. With the help of special foil, a hairdresser can achieve natural, natural shades: unsharp overflows of tones from golden sand, creamy caramel, cinnamon and tree bark. No matter how thick your hair is, this technique in itself gives visual splendor and volume. Highlighting hair and highlighting in California loses to the shatush method in naturalness, because shatush provides a transition from dark at the roots to light at the ends of the hair very gently, without drops, and highlighting suggests a more contrasting option between light and shadow. Such highlighting looks more spectacular on light brown and darker shades. If we talk about vertical strands, then they are covered with paint differently, with different widths.

Due to the fact that the basis of the dye is beeswax, it minimizes the harmful effects on the hair structure. During painting, the paint “does not run” over the head, as it is thick enough and does not dry out the surface of the hair shaft. If such highlighting is done with high quality and professionally, then five tones can be achieved, which is very similar to how natural sunlight affects hair.

Shatush for dark hair: who can choose this technique?

Age restrictions are not known. Gives age what it lacks: it gives freshness to maturity, and gives harmony and balance to youth. In addition, the dark color, used without measure or in adulthood, adds years, which at any age should be avoided.

This coloring method is, in principle, universal, because it does not take into account the structure, the presence of curls or their absence, density and splendor. Looks presentable in any case. To better see the effect, of course, it is better to prefer the option with long hair, but you can also achieve the desired effect on short ones. If you wear a bob or other haircut to the level of the chin, this is your shatush, just have an experienced universal master. However, there is one "but" - this is a haircut "under the boy" or "pixie", here such coloring will not work, unless you experiment with a long bang.

Of course, any painting is performed on healthy scalp and hair. If you notice split ends or overdried strands, urgently correct the situation: cut off the damaged areas, subject your hair to proper moisture

Color shades for brunettes and brown-haired women

The first step in coloring is choosing the right shade. What tones are preferable to dark-haired? All shades from the natural, natural range: the color of wheat and ripe honey, here the color of gold and copper, of course, is red and light brown. The color of mother-of-pearl pearls and an ashy shade are very effective, beige, cognac and chestnut shades look noble. Today, blond, ash and walnut are in demand, while we do not forget about harmony with skin color and base hair color: for dark tones it is better to choose "bread" shades, gold and beige.

For brave people, a bolder option is suitable: red, reddish and pink strands and dark (almost black) roots.

It’s easier to dye the strands using the shatush method of your natural color, because the roots in this technique are not painted a few centimeters from the scalp, so over time you don’t need to tint anything: the roots are your natural color! In the case of re-painting, the master always aligns the color, as they say, makes the base for painting.

It is important for the master to remember that the range of tones should not exceed three, sometimes two shades are enough. A sharply defined border between the tips of the strands and the roots should not be observed, otherwise your head will visually consist of two halves. If the master is not experienced, incorrectly applies paint to the hair or the tone is incorrectly chosen, the result will not be good. For a natural effect, it is advisable to apply light paint to the ends, and make a few strokes of a darker tone on the roots.

It is important to pay special attention to the selection of the oxidizing agent, or rather, its percentage. An unprofessionally calculated percentage will either damage the hair structure, or the tone will turn out to be completely wrong. So, for thin hair, you need to take an oxide of three percent, a 9 percent (sometimes even 12%) oxidizing agent is chosen for thick, rigid hair structure.

Shatush for different hair lengths

Color details will depend on many things. Firstly, an individual approach to your curls is always important. Here it is necessary to consider whether the hair was dyed. With a positive answer, you need to be able to combine the colors so that they do not conflict. For example, if you were black as a raven's wing, then it is unlikely that you can be lightened easily: usually the paint will not bring results, you need a professional brightening powder. Probably, even the master will try to remove (“wash off”) black residues, level the base color, and only then perform the main staining. The type of haircut and hair length also matter. - a more noticeable and effective end result.

Shatush on short hair

This is a very rare case of using the shatush technique, because there is simply no opportunity to smoothly move from darkness to light: the hair is short. It is unlikely that you will find a master who dared to perform this qualitatively and beautifully on very short hair. If the short haircut is still not very short, then the shatush is performed. The advantage here is that you don’t have to achieve a sharp, clear contrast of tones, slight chaos is allowed in the color transition (unlike ombre, for example).

This is a variant of shatush means that you need to make a pile of selected curls and paint them a little from different sides. Natural and simple! But in the case of applying this method on all hair, you will get classic highlighting, burnt hair will not work.

At home, it’s better not to go for such a feat, most likely you won’t be able to do it efficiently and will only ruin your hair, transfer the paint and waste your time. Advice of masters for those who want to make a shatush: 2 weeks before dyeing, nourish with masks, strengthen your hair.

Shatush on medium length hair

This option is simpler in technique and looks more natural. Well, the best option is on long hair.

Shatush on straight and wavy hair

This method of coloring with wavy curls gives a stunning result, the only thing is that due to the porosity and fragility of curly hair, the correct selection of an oxidizing agent, its percentage, will be of particular importance.

For straight hair, shatush is invaluable because of its ability to give volume, in addition, it emphasizes the natural harmony of a natural, natural color. The skill of a hairdresser who performs this type of coloring on straight hair should be high, since all the flaws in applying paint will be immediately visible on them.

Details on the shape of the haircut and the presence / shape of the bangs

  • The bangs, as usual, are not dyed in a light tone;
  • Be sure to step back from the roots along the entire length of the bangs;
  • Sometimes thin strands are isolated to lighten 1-2 tones lighter.
  • Kare, cascade, bob as varieties of graduated haircuts undoubtedly benefit from this technique, as graduation is enhanced, additional volume is created;
  • The lines of geometric haircuts get a winning nuance through the use of a special transition from tone to tone in this method.

Shatush: execution technique

Preparation stage

  • In two weeks, hair should be strengthened, nutrition should be carried out: the resource of restoring masks, shampoos, balms is quite large;
  • During this period, it is better not to refrain from thermal stress: do not style with a hairdryer, electric tongs, ironing;
  • If you want to get a haircut, do it at least a day in advance;
  • The paint is better, “smoother” on unwashed hair, because sebum is a natural lubricant that protects the hair and allows the oxidizer to penetrate better into the hair. For the same reason, do not use foams and varnish;
  • Look for a salon where the shatush will be done correctly: it is done in the open air, without the use of special foil (otherwise, under the name "shatush" "highlighting in the open air" will be hidden);
  • Beforehand, be sure (!) Pass an allergic reaction test (when using the paint for the first time). Instructions for conducting such a test are always attached to the tool.

Required tools:

  • Frequent comb (to bouffant);
  • Latex gloves;
  • Paint brush 3 cm;
  • Cup (to mix the ingredients);
  • Clips for fixing strands;
  • Illuminating powder and / paint with ammonia.

Execution steps

The first way (classic, with fleece):

  • Fasten the upper main part of the strands with clips at the crown;
  • Start staining from the back of the head, the bottom;
  • Separate thin strands of 2 centimeters, each of which is combed (it is due to the fluffy bouffants that the paint does not penetrate the hair roots, so fuzzy borders and smoothness in the overflow of shades are obtained);
  • Only the longest curls are clarified, and the “coolness” of the pile is determined by the intensity of color you want to achieve;
  • The specificity of applying the composition lies in short strokes on each strand without an even layer: at first, the ends are painted, then we move up, slightly smearing the composition along the strand, without getting on the roots;
  • Do not forget about the time: the lighter the desired result, the longer the time (from 10 to 40 minutes);
  • After the time has elapsed, rinse thoroughly with running water, apply conditioner to facilitate the combing process;
  • Upon reaching the desired tone, additional coloring is not carried out. If something is wrong with the tone, then they use blond tinting, choosing an option that is harmonious with the natural color;
  • When tinting, different dyes are taken: persistent, without ammonia, on a natural basis;
  • At the end of the process, apply a nourishing mask to your hair.

The second way (without fleece):

  • Chaotically, randomly, strands are taken, fixed with clamps;
  • A coloring composition is applied with brush strokes, using shading (sometimes experienced hairdressers do this simply with gloved hands);
  • It is permissible to apply the paint first on a rounded comb ("brushing"), then on the hair;
  • The number of minutes with the composition on the hair is checked by the "eye", visually: as soon as the master sees the planned shade, the head is immediately washed, followed by the application of a nutrient.

Shatush at home

  • First, prepare everything you need: a comb, a brush, a shower cap (a plastic bag and an elastic band);
  • We form a tail - in front, closer to the forehead. If the tail turns out at the crown, then the staining effect will be only at the ends of the strand;
  • Comb your hair, then select strands and use a comb to lead from end to root. The denser the pile, the contrast will be more noticeable;
  • The volume of the prepared paint should depend on the length of the hair: with a length below the shoulder blades, you will need two packs;
  • Not really trying, almost carelessly, to paint the tail: do not try to distribute the composition evenly, as then there will be no burnt hair;
  • Put a plastic bag on the tail and hold for 30 minutes;
  • After 40 minutes, the action of the paint will end, so if you forgot about the time, it's not scary;
  • Rinse your head thoroughly with running water, dry, lay as you are used to.

To maintain the desired tone, just once a week, apply a mask for bleached hair.

As a result, the entire process of staining using the shatush technique will take no more than 45 minutes.

You can pay an average of about 5 thousand for a shatush to a master, if you have money, still entrust it to a professional.

Spare your hair, take a break between coloring sessions for 3 weeks, less is not recommended.

Shatush for short hair is extremely rare, but if you manage to find an excellent master, the effect will be just super!

WHAT IS SHATUSH?

This incomprehensible word hides one of the highlighting options, which creates a very fashionable transition from dark to light shades.

Coloring in the style of shatush has a lot of important advantages:

It looks very natural due to the chaotic arrangement of colored strands, smooth color transitions and the correct selection of colors. Everything will look as if you just returned from an overseas resort, and did not sit for two hours in a beauty salon;

  • Gives the female hairstyle the desired volume and texture;
  • Refreshes the appearance, makes the face younger;
  • Perfectly structures the tips and emphasizes the beauty of short haircuts;
  • The paint can be applied not only to the entire hair, but also to individual zones (bangs or strands near the face);
  • It does not require frequent corrections - a repeated procedure can be carried out no earlier than in 3-4 months;
  • Makes natural color bright and very deep;
  • Disguises gray hair;
  • Allows you to use not only ammonia paints, but also tint agents, as well as natural compounds;
  • Suitable for any type of hair (normal, oily, dry, straight or curly);
  • Bears minimal harm to the health of the hair.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT COLOR?

Having decided on the procedure, do not forget to choose the most beautiful shade. So, on light and blond hair, such tones ideally fit:

  • Beige;
  • Pearl;
  • Wheat;
  • Golden;
  • Caramel;
  • Ashen;
  • Walnut.
  • Honey;
  • Light brown;
  • Chestnut;
  • Walnut;
  • Golden;
  • Wheat.

As for the red-haired girls, they were much less fortunate. Firstly, red hair practically does not fade in the sun. Secondly, it is difficult even for an experienced master to choose a shade that is ideal for toning. Experts recommend stopping at flowers, a couple of tones lighter.

HOW TO PREPARE HAIR FOR COLORING SHATUSH?

Hair coloring in this technique requires some preparation, which should be started three to four weeks before the procedure. It consists of several important points:

  • Regularly make masks that improve and restore the hair structure;
  • Trim split ends;
  • Wash your hair two to three days before coloring. Later, you should not do this - wash off the protective layer. In addition, the active substances of the shampoo almost always remain on the hair, which can react with the coloring composition;
  • Styling products during this period are also better not to use;
  • If shatush is performed on dyed hair, pre-dye the hair in the base color. It is advisable to do this with the same master as the highlighting itself;
  • Do an allergy test to avoid unpleasant surprises.

SHATUSH PAINTING TECHNIQUE

Shatush coloring is of two types:

  • With a fleece - classic.
  • Without bouffant.

  • For fine hair - 3% brightener;

Shatush without fleece

If the first option can be safely repeated at home, then the technique without fleece is available only to real professionals. This coloring technique requires special skill, as the coloring composition is applied to smooth strands either by hand or with a brush.

CARE AFTER THE PROCEDURE

Having decided to make a shatush for short hair, take care of proper care:

  • Choose a shampoo and conditioner for colored or highlighted hair. It is advisable to take funds from one line;
  • If the strands become brittle and dry, use silicone-based cosmetics - such products create a protective film on the hair;
  • Regularly apply nourishing masks (homemade or professional).
  • Fruit, honey, egg, kefir, oil, as well as herbal decoctions are perfect;
  • Wash your hair very carefully. The water should not be hot, and at the end, pour cold water over your hair;
  • Exposure to thermal styling products should be kept to a minimum. And even more so, you can’t use a hairdryer or ironing daily;
  • Do not go in the heat without a hat - UV damages the hair;
  • If possible, take a course of salon care (keratin masks, lamination or mesotherapy).
