Hair rinse with fresh picked chamomile recipe. Rinse with essential oils. Shampoo for dry and damaged hair

The healing properties of chamomile and its beneficial effects on the body have been known since time immemorial. Among other things, it can have a beneficial effect on girls’ hair, which is why it is widely used in hair care. In this article we will take a look at its benefits, properties and various uses that will help you take a fresh look at this amazing flower.

Properties, benefits and harm

Even if you don’t set any special goal for yourself, by rinsing your hair with chamomile, you make your hair healthier; it gently helps protect your hair from the negative factors that affect it every day in a modern metropolis.

Chamomile provides disinfection of the scalp, soothes various irritations, accelerates hair growth, solves the problem of hair loss, and activates blood supply to the hair follicle.

It should be used by those who face frequent hair washing, since the plant normalizes sebum production.

With regular use, you will forget about such an unpleasant phenomenon as dandruff, and the hair itself will become smooth and silky.

Many girls use the plant as a hair coloring agent, as it gently tints gray hairs and slightly lightens natural curls.

Being a natural remedy, chamomile does not cause any harm to the body; the only contraindication is individual intolerance, which is extremely rare.

Types of chamomile

Natural chamomile is used in many different ways, depending on what you have on hand.

Most often, various decoctions are made from dried chamomile flowers, which can be easily purchased at a pharmacy.

Since it is sold in crushed form, it can be very difficult to strain the infusion, so most people prefer to use chamomile in filter bags. It is no different from loose, but it is much more convenient to use.

If you have fresh chamomile that you collected in the forest or in the country, it is also suitable for hair care procedures. You can use some of the herb and dry the rest for later.

In what form should I use it?

The easiest way is to make a decoction of chamomile, which will give your hair a beautiful shine and promote its restoration and growth. You need to take a couple of spoons of chamomile or several filter bags and pour a glass of boiling water over them. The resulting liquid must be filtered and then used as directed. If you want to tint your hair, the concentration of the decoction should be greater: pour a glass of boiling water over 100 grams of flowers and leave them for about half an hour.

The tincture can be prepared in two ways:

Cold

Take a glass of dried flowers and fill it with 500 ml of cold water. Leave to infuse for one day and then use to wash your hair.

Hot

Pour 2 tablespoons of flowers with hot (but not boiling!) water, leave for 2 hours. Use it to wash your hair for a month, and you will see a positive effect - your hair will become stronger, wounds, dandruff and scalp irritation will disappear.

Use the tincture to wash your hair for a month, and you will see a positive effect - your hair will become stronger, wounds, dandruff and scalp irritation will disappear:

  • Mask - chamomile essential oil is usually used for this. It is added to any thick base - kefir, sour cream, yogurt or a ready-made commercial hair mask. There is no need to take an expensive professional product; a basic inexpensive product will do. You need to apply the mask to the entire length of your hair before washing, and store no more than a few days in the refrigerator.
  • Chamomile balm is an excellent alternative to store-bought products. It is applied to the hair after washing and helps close the hair scales, making it smooth and silky. Mix the pulp obtained after preparing the decoction with 3 tablespoons of honey and apply the mixture to your hair for a quarter of an hour.
  • Rinse aid. Pour 2 tablespoons of flowers with 2 liters of hot water, leave for about an hour. Strain, add a few tablespoons of lemon juice and rinse your hair after washing. It is suitable for lightly lightening hair and giving it a natural shine.
  • Chamomile oil extract contains all the beneficial properties of the plant in increased concentration.

There are two ways to prepare it:

  1. Hot. Grind dry chamomile, pour into a container and fill with base oil (olive, almond, etc.) in a ratio of 1:2. Place the container in a water bath and simmer there for 2 hours. Remove from heat very carefully and cool completely so you don't burn yourself with the oil! Then filter and pour into a clean container.
  2. Cold. A longer method that preserves more useful components. Pour dried chamomile into a container and fill it with base oil in a ratio of 1:2.

Leave in a dark place for about two weeks, then strain.

Chamomile spray should be applied after each shampoo to damp, clean hair before applying any other products. Take 250 ml of chamomile decoction, which must be made according to the above recipe. Add a tablespoon of flaxseed oil and a few drops of essential oil (rosemary, sage, ylang-ylang, aloe).

Pour into a spray bottle and spray onto hair daily. They will be significantly strengthened and acquire a vibrant shine. Store the spray in the refrigerator, but still try to keep the shelf life as short as possible.

How to prepare a decoction?

There are several other ways to prepare chamomile infusion, which is the main ingredient in many hair recipes that we will look at below.

It is suitable for washing your curls, rinsing, making masks, sprays, balms, coloring tonics and much more:

  1. For a basic decoction, which in its pure form will gently lighten your hair, give it shine and a healthy appearance, take the number of chamomile flowers you need and fill them with hot water at the rate of 1:5. Leave for 5-10 minutes, then boil for half an hour and leave for another half hour. Let cool, strain and use as directed.
  2. Take 3 tbsp. spoons of chamomile and pour it into a gauze bag. Place it in a saucepan with 1 liter of hot water and boil for at least half an hour. All that remains is to cool the resulting broth.

What to combine with?

  • Chamomile with lemon gently lightens hair, giving it natural shine and softness. Pour a glass of boiling water over a handful of chamomile and simmer in a water bath. Cool, add the juice of half a lemon and a few tablespoons of base oil. Apply to hair and let the mask absorb well and let it dry. If possible, sit in the sun to enhance the effect. Carry out the procedure once a week for several months
  • With bay leaf. If you take the leaves of this noble plant, which we usually perceive as a seasoning for soup, you can get a vitamin infusion that has a beneficial effect on the hair. Mix 3 tablespoons of chamomile and 5 bay leaves, add 1 tablespoon of rosemary to them. Grind the herbs thoroughly with a mortar, blender or by hand. Pour half a liter of boiling water, cover and leave for two hours, then strain. The gruel should not be thrown away either - it can be rubbed into the roots as a vitamin hair mask.

  • With nettles. This decoction is great for rinsing hair and creating various masks based on it. It is very simple to prepare - you need to mix 2 parts of herbs, pour them with a liter of water, put on fire and boil. After this, leave the broth to simmer for another 10 minutes, let it cool and filter. Moisten your hair with the resulting liquid; it is convenient to do this from a spray bottle. Then wrap your hair in a towel and leave for half an hour until completely dry.
  • With glycerin. If you have brittle, dry hair, add glycerin to the chamomile mask. It is well suited for curly hair and lightens curls by 2-3 tones. However, you need to use it very carefully, because if you leave the mask on, you can, on the contrary, dry out your hair. In addition, before the procedure, check whether you are allergic to this product by applying it to the crook of your elbow.

  • With henna. In its pure form, henna gives the hair a reddish tint, and the “sunny flower” adds gold to it. For medium-length hair you will need 3 bags of henna and half a pack of chamomile. The flowers need to be brewed in a saucepan, henna mixed with water in a separate container, and only then combined. You can add a couple of drops of essential oil to the resulting mixture. Thanks to chamomile, henna will not flow, so you can safely leave the homemade dye on your hair for 2-3 hours, after which it will need to be washed off, not forgetting to apply balm to your hair at the end.
  • With calendula. A mask of these two plants can be used to speed up hair growth. Mix two parts of herbs, pour a liter of boiling water and leave for 30 minutes. Use as a rinse aid.

  • With honey. Honey has a beneficial effect on hair, and chamomile helps all its beneficial components be better absorbed by the skin. To prepare a healing mask for intensive care from honey and chamomile, you will need 4 tablespoons of flowers and half a glass of hot water, which you will need to keep in a water bath for about 20 minutes. The finished mixture will need to be strained and cooled, then add 2 tablespoons of honey and stir well. The mask will need to be rubbed into the roots, distributing the remaining mixture over washed, damp hair. Leave for half an hour, rinse with warm water. To get a visible effect, you need to carry out at least seven procedures.
  • With burdock. A decoction of these herbs is excellent for hair loss, helps get rid of dandruff and irritation of the scalp. Take chopped herbs in equal proportions, pour boiling water, boil and cook for another 15 minutes. Wrap well with a towel and leave to steep until the broth has cooled. Moisten your hair with the strained broth after squeezing your scalp, rubbing the liquid into the roots of your hair.

Methods of application

We have already looked at various types of chamomile treatments that can be easily performed at home. One of the most popular is rinsing hair with a decoction, which can be done without much effort.

Much more interesting is another popular method of application - dyeing and lightening strands, which we will take a closer look at.

If you want to achieve a light shade, start with the same decoction. It will give light strands a golden tint; light strands will help them look brighter and will get rid of the mousy tint that is often inherent in them.

Since the decoction recipe is described above, there is no need to repeat it again. It’s just worth noting that if you want a more intense color, take more chamomile, but less water, and vice versa.

Please note that a very strong decoction will give your hair a copper tint, even if your hair is black. If you are brown-haired, they will begin to have beautiful golden highlights.

The resulting decoction is moistened over the entire length of the hair and left until completely dry. It does not need to be washed off, but must be dried naturally, without using a hair dryer.

Of course, you will have to carry out more than one procedure, at least for a month, to achieve the desired result. But the effect should be noticeable after the first use.

The advantage of chamomile decoction is that it can be used on both undyed and dyed hair - you will still see the result.

There are other hair bleaching recipes that have an enhanced effect:

  • Infusion with peroxide. Pour a handful of chamomile with half a liter of vodka and leave for two weeks. Strain, add 50 ml of peroxide and use to lighten hair.
  • Against gray hair. Make a decoction in a thermos - take 3 parts water for 1 part chamomile and leave for 4-5 hours. Then, as with regular dyeing, divide your hair into strands and moisten them well with the resulting product. Next, wrap it in film, wrap it in a towel and keep it for about an hour.
  • With glycerin. To get a golden-yellow shade of natural hair that will stay on your hair for a long time, pour 150 g of chamomile into 500 ml of boiling water and leave for several hours. Then strain, add glycerin and wash your hair with the resulting mixture. The result will not take long to arrive.

What kind of chamomile should you collect?

There are many varieties of white flowers with a yellow center, but only chamomile is used for medicinal purposes and cosmetology. To distinguish it, cut the receptacle with a knife - it should be hollow. This will be the main distinguishing feature of the plant you need.

It is better to collect it at the beginning of the flowering period (in May-June); at the end it is not at all suitable for use.

When collecting, use scissors to cut off the flowers at the very base. Under no circumstances should you pull them out by the roots or pick off all the inflorescences on one bush. Be sure to leave some flowers for later propagation.

The beauty and health of hair has always been a great wealth. Since ancient times, a girl with a thick and long braid was an enviable bride. Chamomile decoction

Components:

  • chamomile - half a glass of dried inflorescences.

Cooking method:

  • To prepare a rich chamomile decoction, you can take ready-made dry mixtures at the pharmacy. But you can cook and dry the plant yourself. To do this, you need to go to the forest, to the edge, to the grove or to the dacha - where this storehouse of vitamins grows. It is not recommended to pick flowers growing along roads; they can accumulate exhaust gases and resins.
  • When collecting the plant, you must use a knife or scissors. Chamomile should be collected in late May - early June. After the armfuls of flowers are cut, you need to lay them out on paper and place them in a well-ventilated place. In just a few days, the chamomile will dry out and can be stored for a whole year.
  • To prepare a rich decoction, you need to take half a glass of dried chamomile flowers. You need to pour a liter of boiling water over them and place them in a water bath. After about 20 minutes, the broth can be removed from the heat, covered with a lid and left to infuse. After the broth has cooled, it needs to be strained, after which it will be ready for use. If necessary, it can be diluted with water.

This decoction is used as a vitamin and tonic for hair. Usually, chamomile decoction is used to rinse your hair after shampooing. This gives a brightening effect. Curls become shiny and smooth. However, if you already have dry hair and split ends, you should add a little olive oil to the mask. It will protect your hair from drying out and provide additional nutrition and benefits.

The resulting product must be rubbed into clean and damp hair. Carefully distribute the mask over the entire length, not losing sight of a single curl. Chamomile is the main medicinal flower, as Avicenna believed. Indeed, it contains many useful microelements that can restore beauty, health and shine to our hair.

Rinsing your hair with chamomile is a simple, inexpensive and very effective way to care for your hair. Nowadays tap water is subjected to harsh purification, so it will not be very useful for the hair and scalp. The water can be very hard, which negatively affects the hair - it becomes harder to comb, becomes dull and brittle.

To reduce the negative impact of tap water on hair, after washing your hair, you can rinse your hair. Beautiful, well-groomed hair always attracts attention. You can give your hair a well-groomed and silky look, sparkling with health and vibrant shine, not only in beauty salons with the help of professionals in this field, but also at home. You will need ordinary chamomile.

There are several types of chamomile that are similar to each other, but the most pronounced healing effect is found in chamomile, Roman chamomile and fragrant chamomile. Scented chamomile grows almost everywhere, but Roman chamomile grows in Europe and here in the Crimea, where it is also known as “noble navel.” This plant is absolutely harmless to our body, therefore it has found application not only in cosmetology, but also in medicine. Chamomile decoctions can even be given to infants or used as washes. Thanks to its healing composition, this plant soothes, moisturizes and disinfects the skin, has whitening properties, and also has a stimulating effect on the blood circulation process.

Chamomile is rich in essential oils, carotenoids, resins, vitamins, minerals and dyes that have a beneficial effect on our hair, nourishing, strengthening and promoting its growth. Chamomile for hair can be used in any form (both dry and fresh). The effectiveness of the effect is directly dependent on its concentration in decoctions and infusions, as well as on the duration of this effect.

There are a huge number of folk recipes for hair based on chamomile: these are decoctions and infusions, shampoos, rinses, masks, and also brighteners. All of them can be easily prepared by yourself at home. Systematic use of chamomile-based folk remedies helps strengthen hair follicles, makes hair healthy and beautiful, restoring its natural shine.

Folk hair remedies with chamomile

Chamomile shampoo

Take two tablespoons of dried chamomile flowers and pour half a glass of hot water. Wrap it well and let the mixture brew for half an hour, after which the infusion must be strained. The resulting amount of product must be combined with the same amount of regular baby shampoo. Constant use of this shampoo when washing your hair will soon yield results: your hair will become noticeably stronger and more manageable. It is worth noting that this homemade shampoo should be stored for no more than a week. The effect will depend on the “freshness” of the product.

Balm for dry hair

Pour 15 g of chamomile into 250 ml of boiling water, cover well and leave for thirty minutes, then strain. Then mix 125 g of lanolin with the resulting chamomile infusion, put on fire and heat slightly, avoiding boiling. After which the mixture must be cooled and a tablespoon of vodka added. Transfer the resulting product into a tightly sealed clean and dry jar and store it in the refrigerator. Apply over the entire length of the hair and lubricate the scalp an hour before washing. Before applying to hair, the balm should be heated in a water bath. Perform the procedure twice a week.

Chamomile based mouthwash

After rinsing, you don’t have to dry your hair, just pat it lightly with a towel and leave it to dry naturally.

The same chamomile infusion, prepared from one part of flowers and ten parts of boiling water, will help eliminate dandruff. It is necessary to rinse your hair with this infusion two to three times a week for a month.

An herbal infusion will also help solve this problem: mix chamomile and calendula flowers, as well as lavender, in equal proportions. Pour two tablespoons of the resulting raw material into a glass of boiling water and leave to infuse for twenty minutes, after which the infusion should be strained. Use the infusion two to three times a week to rinse your hair. The course of treatment is three to four weeks.

To combat dandruff, this mixture will also help: grind the raw yolk of one chicken egg with half a teaspoon of olive oil and add five drops of chamomile essential oil. This mixture should be rubbed into the hair roots once a week, half an hour before washing your hair.

For oily seborrhea, traditional medicine recommends washing your hair with an infusion of chamomile inflorescences. To prepare it, you need to pour one part of the raw material with ten parts of boiling water and leave for an hour. The procedure must be done two to three times a week. The course of treatment includes fifteen procedures. If necessary, the course can be repeated after two to three weeks.

Hair growth infusion

To stimulate hair growth, traditional medicine recommends using an herbal infusion: mix chamomile flowers, nettle and sage, taken in equal proportions, then pour two tablespoons of the resulting raw material into a glass of boiling water and let it brew for twenty minutes. Then strain the infusion and rub into the roots, after which the infusion is not washed off.

The following tincture is also effective: pour 400 ml of vodka into a glass of dry chamomile flowers, close the lid tightly and place in a dark place for a week to infuse. After this, pour 100 g of henna into 200 ml of boiling water, mix thoroughly and leave for a couple of hours. Mix the resulting henna solution with chamomile tincture and leave for another two weeks to infuse. Then strain the resulting mixture and apply it to your hair for half an hour, and apply a warm compress on top. After the specified time, you should wash your hair well using regular shampoo suitable for your type.

Video: benefits of rinsing hair with chamomile

For many years it has been used in cosmetology to care for both facial skin and hair. She really works wonders and you will see this now.

Decoctions are prepared from chamomile, which are then added to various cosmetics to enhance their effectiveness. Some add them to masks or shampoos, and some use chamomile and claim that it gives many positive results.

And it’s very easy to believe in this, because this herb is famous for its magical healing properties, which very quickly allow you to restore damaged hair structure. Chamomile contains all the substances necessary for normal hair growth. These include minerals, vitamins, tannins, and even essential oils.

Therefore, with regular use of chamomile decoction, you will notice that your hair becomes softer and stops splitting and breaking. In addition, chamomile adds shine to your curls and simply makes them shine with health.

But it is worth noting that chamomile has a lightening effect, so it is more suitable for fair-haired girls than for those with dark curls, especially dyed ones. Chamomile will gradually wash out the color pigment from the hair and the coloring effect will not last long.

However, you should not expect a clear lightening effect from the application. She will not be able to remove yellowness from your hair and make you a natural blonde. Therefore, if you have dark hair, but at the same time you want, then you can also use chamomile. However, this should be done for no more than one month.

I would also like to note the antiseptic effect of this herb, thanks to which it copes well with seborrhea. Itching, burning and peeling of the skin disappear after just a few procedures.

How to prepare chamomile as a hair rinse?

Making a chamomile mouthwash is very easy. To do this, you will need chamomile itself (you can use your own collection or a pharmacy one) and boiling water. Before preparing the rinse, you need to make a decoction.

Take 2 tablespoons of dry chamomile and pour 2 cups of boiling water over them. Then place the container in which you brewed the herb in a warm place and let the broth brew for one hour. Then strain it and dilute with warm water. For this amount of decoction, it would be ideal to use 1.5-2 liters of water.

After which the resulting solution can be used to rinse your hair. But it must also be carried out according to certain rules. In addition, chamomile decoction can be used in its pure form, but it should be made less concentrated.

You should rinse your hair with chamomile solution only after thoroughly washing it with a cleansing shampoo. The solution should be poured into a basin and the hair should be dipped into it. They need to be “bathed” in chamomile for several minutes, without squeezing or twisting them. Additionally, there is no need to rinse your curls with regular water.

If you use the decoction in its pure form, make sure that all the hair receives its “portion”. Otherwise, the effect of using the rinse aid will not be uniform.

Then you need to blot your hair with a cotton towel (not terry!), which will absorb moisture well. And then the curls should dry naturally. It is not advisable to use a hairdryer after this procedure, as it will nullify all your efforts.

After all, the action of chamomile is primarily aimed at smoothing the scales on each hair, which is why the hair becomes smooth and shiny. Using a hairdryer causes these very scales to begin to open, releasing all the moisture from the hair and making it dry and brittle. It is for this reason that experts generally do not recommend using a hair dryer to dry your hair. It is better to let it dry naturally.

Chamomile rinse should be used after each hair wash. In this case, it is very important to use a freshly prepared decoction, since after 7-8 hours it already begins to lose its beneficial properties and “bloom”.

You can evaluate the results of using a chamomile rinse after the first procedure. Your hair will become much softer and gain shine. But you can observe the final therapeutic effect after 1-2 months of regular use. Believe me, the result will definitely please you.
