Christmas nativity scene from newspaper tubes mk. Master class on making a Christmas nativity scene. How to put on a show

The easiest way to make a Christmas nativity scene is paper. You can make it in the company of a child, using paints, scissors and thick sheets from which paper figures are cut. This option does not need a master class, so we will not consider it, but will give recommendations on how you can create a Christmas nativity scene with your own hands of more complex designs.

How to make a Christmas nativity scene from plasticine? Master Class

To work on creating a cave and figurines of den participants, you will need the following materials:

  • plasticine (hard and soft),
  • board,
  • stacks,
  • wooden skewers,
  • lace handkerchief,
  • narrow golden ribbon
  • wicker mat or pieces of matting,
  • toothpicks,
  • cake stand or pizza wrapper,
  • star.

The baby figurine is molded without anatomical features, since most of it will be hidden under a blanket (handkerchief). The visible part - the head - is made of plasticine with a special study of details. To create beautiful curls, you need to run the sharp end of the stack over hard plasticine with the same pressure along its entire length, then the cut out strip will turn out to be in the form of a spiral. You can not sculpt the baby's eyes, but make them from beads. The finished figure must be wrapped in a lace scarf and tied with a ribbon bow.

The cradle for the baby is made from a piece of hard plasticine, into which four straws are stuck (a skewer broken into pieces) that act as legs. We make a pillow in the cradle from soft plasticine. The side walls are made of mats, which also need to be fixed to soft plasticine.

The nativity scene itself is made of wooden skewers in the form of a hut. To do this, on a plate, which will be the basis of the composition, 3 sticks are installed, interconnected using hard plasticine. Each of the straws should be equidistant from the next one. After that, the walls are completed by filling the space between the skewers. One side remains open. We take soft plasticine and fasten it over the entrance (open side). Attach a star to it.

If you don’t have such a large plate as in our master class, then you can make a small fence instead of a hut by fastening mats and toothpicks together with soft plasticine and installing the resulting structure along the edge of the base.

We make animal figures and a bird from plasticine, fastening the parts together with toothpicks. We also make paws from toothpicks. We tie a rope to the bird, which will need to be tied on the top of the hut. We make eyes from beads.

Finger puppets. Master Class

Do-it-yourself Christmas nativity scene can be made in the form of a finger theater. To do this, you need pieces of multi-colored felt, fleece and beads to decorate the eyes. Figures are made in the size of 5-6 centimeters. All characters, including the Magi, are attached to the nativity scene with Velcro. The design itself is made of cardboard, sheathed with fabric, and closed with a button.

With wooden figurines. Master Class

You can make a nativity scene with your own hands from a whole shoe box and a lid from another one. The box plays the role of a cave, and both covers are located in the lower and upper parts (horizontally - to accommodate the Magi, vertically - to attach the angel). The boxes are fastened together with a stapler and glue.

The cave is painted with black paint, the covers are glued with sheets of colored paper. The sheet of paper for the top cover is purposefully creased for greater aesthetics. Straw is also placed in the cave, on which the characters land.

Wooden dolls can be made independently, or you can buy a ready-made version and dress them up according to the images. Outfits can be sewn from fabric or glued from paper. Animals can also be taken factory (from children's toys). An angel is attached to the top cover. Gifts are molded from plasticine and added to the composition. To make a projection of a star, you can cut out its outline from an empty egg from a Kinder and project it onto paper using a flashing light from a children's toy.

Crochet characters

You can use crocheted dolls in any of the presented nativity scenes. This will require cotton yarn of various colors and a small hook. The eyes of the characters can also be crocheted or dark beads can be used. The cradle can be made from pieces of yarn laid in the form of a nest, on which a crocheted baby fits.

Nativity scene - a reproduction of the scene of the Nativity of Christ. Therefore, on the eve of the holiday, the topical Christmas composition, made with your own hands from cardboard or thick paper, will be an actual craft.

The templates available in the master class will help you make a nativity scene, which you can later decorate your home interior with. A nativity scene can be made for a kindergarten or school, because with it you can acquaint children with the theme of the Nativity of Christ, the Bible and tell the story of the holiday.

How to make a Christmas nativity scene with your own hands

Making a Christmas composition is very easy, as templates make it easy. It is enough to download, print, cut paper templates from paper and transfer them to cardboard. Then it's a matter of technology ... But since we present the work in the form of an MK, let's still deal with the manufacture of crafts in stages, with a description and a photo.

Necessary materials:

  • cardboard - soft and dense;
  • paper - 3 sheets A4;
  • openwork braid - 1 meter;
  • universal glue or glue gun;
  • twine or thread for knitting - 6 cm;
  • transparent plastic, which is used for the face of packaging of children's toys or souvenirs in boxes.
  • scissors (wallpaper knife);
  • sample: , .

We print templates from paper, transfer them by outlining on cardboard, and cut out the necessary elements.

Moreover, all the elements must be made of thick cardboard, which does not bend and holds its shape well, but the roof must be flexible, so thin and flexible cardboard is needed to make this part of the craft. In this MK, colored cardboard of golden color with a hardness of 180 units was used.

These are the cardboard blanks you should get.

We begin assembling the basis of the crib composition.

We take a blank for the bottom of the future den, apply it across the width to a piece of transparent plastic packaging and make plastic folds along it. This will be the back wall of our den. Its width should be equal to the width of the base, that is, 15 cm.

Now you need to take the "walls" and glue them to the bottom, as shown in the photo.

We glue the back wall of transparent plastic.

Front view.

And attach the roof.

The base is almost ready. It remains to make a beautiful and discreet decor, for which you will need nothing more than openwork linen or braid.

Using a glue gun, attach it around the perimeter of the front of the nativity scene. You can also paste over the top of the back wall in front and the perimeter of the back of the craft (but this is optional).

It remains to glue the faces of the saints and the symbol of Christmas - the star of David.

Pre-cut cardboard blanks need to be slightly modified, namely, to make them stable. To do this, take pieces of cardboard and fix them on all three figures as shown in the photo.

The cradle of Jesus is ready, now the rest of the figures are in line.

Glue them to the crib.

We cut out a star from cardboard, on top of which we decided to stick a paper one, glue a thread and a square of cardboard to the star, which will help to better attach the craft to the ceiling.

And now the most interesting thing is experimenting with candles.

In the first photo, we put a candle in front of the nativity scene and got the following effect.

Now we put it inside the product. So it's better. This option is, in principle, optimal, since customs involve wearing a nativity scene along the street during Christmas carols. With proper handling, the candle will not go out ...

If the Christmas composition will be in one place in the room, then the option with a candle behind it is the most optimal.

IMPORTANT! Open flames are always unsafe, especially when located near flammable materials. Just from which our craft is made. Therefore, you should not leave crafts with a burning candle unattended in order to avoid disastrous consequences.

But in general, enjoy the holiday and crafts. After all, the evening is about to come when Jesus Christ was born long ago!

May this bright holiday give all adults and children real joy, which comes only from childhood! And let it be with us not only on holidays!

Merry Christmas!

I really love Christmas and everything connected with it: carols, family gatherings, small Christmas cribs with tiny figures, delicious kutya, funny people dressed up, Christmas stories ... I also love more modern things related to Christmas: cartoons and good films based on Christmas stories, Christmas wreaths and decor, a finger theater about the birth of a little God.

For several years I have been dreaming of buying a beautiful table nativity scene, but I still don’t find it the way I imagine. So that there are many figurines that can be played with, so that the figurines are made in a childishly naive and at the same time restrained (without smirks and bulging eyes - I came across those too :)

But recently I thought about a drawing of a nativity scene - a Christmas picture that each kid can color in his own way. Parents will help him cut and glue everything correctly. And now a beautiful table nativity scene with your own hands is ready!

Having searched, I, of course, found interesting samples, but still decided to draw my own. Unfortunately, due to my growing tummy and my daughter, who manages my time without permission, my idea was postponed. Just today, my husband and I finally finished our Christmas nativity scene. We hope that at Christmas time he will still have time to please the kids.

Blank-coloring of the scene of the Nativity of Christ

The barn and 14 figurines can be printed, colored, glued onto thick paper, cut and glued in the right places. You get characters that stand on their own.

With such a nativity scene, you can arrange a table performance about the Nativity of Jesus Christ. It seems to me that making a nativity scene together with a child is a great opportunity to tell him about sacred events, about the birth of an unusual Baby, about who the Magi are and why the star shone so brightly. In addition, by coloring the figures, it will be easier for the child to remember who is where, and what role he played in this story.

A few words about gluing:

The figures must be folded along the dotted lines so that the rectangle is at the base - the figure will stand on it. Fix on top with a little glue. Cut out three parts with the image of a barn along continuous lines, stick them on thick paper, bend the edges along the dotted lines, and glue them together. Get a big house. To make it stand steadily, you need to bend it along the dotted lines along the beams.

On the seventh of January we will celebrate the Nativity of Christ. How toto touch the miracle of Christmas? On the eve of this holiday at the family table, tell the child the legend of the birth of Christ, and then offer to make a nativity scene with your own hands (from the Latin praesepe- "crèche", "cattle feeder").

There are no strictly established sizes of the nativity scene and the number of characters, but it must necessarily contain a manger where the newborn Jesus lies, the figures of Joseph and the Virgin Mary, bent over the manger, sheep, an ox and a donkey. These characters were not just figurines-dolls (they were not played with) - they were symbols of Christmas.

Traditionally, they were made three-dimensional, from wood, fabric, or flat from cardboard, in one or more levels. The figures could move, depicting thematic scenes.

We will need a medium-sized box that can be pasted over with colored paper, and preferably with a cloth. For the outside, choose dark blue, for the inside - red, for the floor - brown.

In the depths of the box we will place our heroes - a manger (a small box with dry grass or straw), on the right - Mary, on the left - Joseph, around the manger - animals, in the foreground - shepherds with staffs in their hands. We will place an angel next to or above under the roof. We blind the heroes from plasticine or salt dough.

The figurine of the Virgin Mary will be in red clothes, kneeling (smaller) - in a green veil. The figurines of Joseph and the shepherds will be larger, we will give the shepherds a staff (from a stick, a tube of suitable thickness), and roll a tourniquet over the head over the cover.

A manger can be made not only from a box, but also from plasticine, a recess in a manger - with a phalanx of a finger. The figures of the Three Kings should be in bright clothes, and the harnesses on their heads are also bright, made of plasticine balls and "sausages". Let's make a lighter angel out of paper.

The nativity scene can also be made from a cardboard rectangle, which is bent so that the bottom is larger than the top. Round the upper part, glue a cardboard sky strip to it with hot glue or adhesive tape. The firmament should be dark blue, we will glue yellow stars on it.

The basis for the figures of characters will be a paper cone with a cut off top. For the head we use large wooden beads, we will also cut out the hands from cardboard. For the cover you will need pieces of fabric, for animals - sticks, threads, beads.

We will make a nativity scene from cardboard according to a pattern-template. We will print the barn and heroes on a printer, stick it on thick paper and color it.

If you glue a rectangle to the base of each figure, they will be able to stand on their own.

If you find a color printer, the nativity scene will immediately turn out in color. It will only be necessary to cut out all the elements.

Another Christmas nativity scene can be made from felt, fleece, gingerbread, ready-made sets of figurines.

The "vytynanka" nativity scene will also be original - cut out of thick paper with a mock-up knife. Figures can also be embroidered and covered with a cardboard base or knitted using the amigurumi technique.

For lighting, we use a small light bulb or a Christmas tree garland, which we will turn on in the evenings.

It will be nice to get together by the light of the lights with the whole family together with the children and tell them about the Great Feast of Christmas!

One of the Christmas traditions is the crib drama, a puppet show about the birth of Jesus Christ. To play such a show, you need christmas nativity scene- portable puppet theatre. The Land of Soviets will tell you how to make a Christmas nativity scene with your own hands.

Traditionally, the Christmas nativity scene is a two-story box made of wood, in which the scenery and figures of heroes are located. Even if you are not going to play a puppet show, a Christmas nativity scene will decorate your apartment with a holiday. In addition, with its help you can tell the story of Christmas to your child.

And it is absolutely not necessary to make a Christmas nativity scene from wood, the main thing here is not the material, but the symbolism. A paper nativity scene may turn out to be no worse than a wooden one, made according to all the canons. The main thing is that you made it yourself. In addition, a child can also be involved in the manufacture of a paper nativity scene.

Try to do christmas nativity scene out of the box: we think you will certainly find an unnecessary box of shoes or sweets at home. The box will be the basis ("scene") of the nativity scene, which is a manger. If it is too deep, you can trim the sides a little. The bottom of the box will be the back wall of your crib.

To start cover the inside and outside of the box with colored paper. Outside, the color can be anything, inside it is better to paste over with brown paper that imitates walls and floors. To decorate, cut out stars from colored paper or foil and paste them over the Christmas nativity scene inside and out. You can also use other decorations for the nativity scene, for example, spruce branches, cones, "rain", etc. For greater credibility, the “floor” can be strewn with “straw” from colored paper cut into thin strips.

Now you need make action figures- Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus and the Magi who brought gifts. By the way, the Magi do not have to be three: their exact number is not indicated in the Gospel, so there may well be more of them. Three Magi-kings - Balthazar, Caspar and Melchior - is a Western European tradition, in Orthodoxy they are not considered kings, and their exact number is not counted.

So, to make figurines for a nativity scene, you need to take thin cardboard, paper, scissors, glue and paints (pencils, felt-tip pens). From thin cardboard, roll and glue the cone This will be the body for the figurine. Color the torso: draw clothes, arms. You can make an application instead of coloring. On paper, draw the character's face, carefully cut it out and glue it in front of the cone (we will consider the seam from gluing as the back of the cone). Hands can also not be drawn, but cut and glued.

To make a figurine of baby Jesus, you will also need a matchbox- it will symbolize the manger. Cover the box with colored paper. Cut yellow or light brown paper into thin strips and glue on top of the boxes in random order - this will be straw. On the "straw" glue the paper-cut and painted figurine of the baby Jesus.

Don't forget to put in your nativity scene and sheep figurines. The easiest way is to draw them on paper, drawing a small “stand” on the bottom (as in the figure). Then cut the sheep along the outline along with the “stand” and fold the “stand” so that the sheep can stand. And if you have small toy sheep, you can just use them.

If desired, you can mold figurines for a nativity scene from or and even. All in all, use the technique in which you know how and like to work.

Don't forget to make the Star of Bethlehem that announced the birth of Jesus. The easiest way is to cut out two blanks of a star from cardboard, glue them together, after placing a string between them (if you plan to hang a star on the ceiling of a nativity scene) or a stick (if you want to put a star). And then cover the star with gold or silver foil.

Christmas nativity scene will bring holiday atmosphere to your home. Do not miss the opportunity to make a Christmas nativity scene with your own hands and, together with your household, remember the history of the bright holiday of Christmas.
