Original and cheerful pillows are a fashionable and stylish interior detail. Textile or made of fur, these pillow toys will appeal to both adults and children. Bunnies, cats, dogs - what kind of animals are created by skillful hands of craftswomen! Today we will figure out how to sew an owl pillow with our own hands using a simple pattern.

Crib pillow

In our master class, the owl has a blue shirt-front. If you sew a pillow in a girl's crib, then you can make an owl in pink.

For needlework you need:

  • cotton fabric of two colors;
  • pieces of felt for eyes and beak;
  • beads or black buttons for pupils;
  • ribbon for decoration;
  • lace;
  • filler;
  • needles, pins, scissors, thread, sewing machine.

Description

Print out a full-size pillow pattern.

Cut out all the details of the toy from the fabric.

For the bow, cut out a rectangular piece 8x16 cm and a square with a side of 45 mm.

We attach lace and a beak, performing a zigzag seam along the contour. Lace should lie in the center of the calf, between the wings.

We attach the wings and eyes with the same seam. Manually sew pupils - beads.

We fold the two parts with the front sides inward, we cut them off with pins, we sew along the contour. At the same time, do not forget to leave an area for turning and stuffing.

We make notches in convex areas so that the shirt-front with wings does not bulge after eversion.

We turn out the pillow, iron it. Then the main part, that is, the shirtfront, is filled with filler.

Sew up the hole with hidden stitches.

Now let's decorate the owl. We fold a strip from a square blank for a bow (see photo) and iron it. We sew a rectangular blank with an allowance of 1 cm.

We turn the bow inside out, pick it up in the center. We cover the place of assemblies with a strip.

Sew the decoration on the ear of the pillow toy.

From a narrow ribbon we make a bow and sew it on. If desired, you can also decorate the pillow with buttons.

Felt owl

Sewing such a toy is quite simple. Depending on the size, the craft can be a small owlet - a keychain or a comfortable sofa cushion. A bright owl made of felt with your own hands is made according to a pattern.

For work need to cook:

  • felt of different colors;
  • filler;
  • fabric for finishing the tummy and wings;
  • needles, pins, scissors.

Description

It is convenient to sew an owl, like many felt toys, using a “needle-forward” seam, in which the lengths of stitches and gaps are equal.

Using pattern templates, cut out all the elements from felt and fabric. Sew colored details on the felt wings. Hide the knot of thread between the felt and the fabric. For convenience, the fabric can be fixed with a pin before sewing.

We make out the muzzle of a felt owl. Referring to the pattern, we place and sew the details of the peephole. Please note that from the edge of the main part to the eye, as well as between the eyes, the distance should be about 5 mm.

As an alternative, you can choose to glue the peephole.

Then we sew the tummy, after fixing it with a pin.

We attach the claws, beak, dark details of the ears. Embroider a tail on the back side.

We fold the two main parts, insert the wings between them and fix with pins. We sew a seam along the circumference, leaving a small part not sewn up.

We fill the owl with synthetic winterizer or any other filler. Sewing up the hole.

Educational search toy "Owl"

For creativity to us you need to prepare:

  • fleece material of sand and light green color;
  • brown and white felt - 3 mm thick;
  • felt, black and yellow - thickness 1 mm;
  • rep ribbon with a bright ornament;
  • film file or any thick transparent film;
  • quick-drying glue;
  • short chain;
  • filler - rice, beads;
  • small toys - searchers;
  • threads for embroidery;
  • scissors, pencil, needles, adhesive tape.

Description

We make patterns of all the elements of the toy, drawing them on our own or printing them from the site.

The body with ears should be symmetrical.

We mark the abdomen and frill. To do this, you can use improvised items.

Try to keep the size of the waves of the frill the same.

Cut out the belly.

We mark two main details on the fabric - one with the abdomen, the other without it.

Cut out both pieces.

Cut out the frill pattern.

We mark it on the fabric and cut it out.

We put the main part on a transparent film.

We connect the parts with pins and sew along the contour of the window with a zigzag seam.

We cut off the excess film, leaving an allowance of 20-30 mm from the seam.

We fold the main parts right side out and fix with pins. Then, along the contour, we manually sew a seam “over the edge”. Such a seam looks good if it is done with threads that match the main part, but a little darker.

We make a loop from the tape.

We sew it along the edge of the product.

We do not sew up the top of the head and ears. We do not cut the thread.

We glue the frill along the edge of the window in the form of a decorative rim, closing the seam.

To fill the tummy of an owl, we use beads or rice.

We prepare small items that we will put in a toy, lay them out on paper and take pictures.

We fill a third of the height of the abdomen with filler. We put prepared searchers there.

Sew up the top of the owl, fasten and cut the thread.

Using improvised objects as templates, we cut out three circles of white, yellow and black for each eye. We also cut out the beak and eyebrows.

We connect the white circles, glue the beak from the wrong side.

We glue the details of the eye, eyebrows and beak.

We glue the general part on the front side of the owl.

We print out a photo of the search engines, laminate them with adhesive tape, laying a piece of cardboard or multi-colored paper Velcro for rigidity.

The process of sewing toys

A step-by-step description of making an owl toy from felt:

Assembly of parts

We begin to collect the product by sewing on the tummy. We fix it to the front of the toy small hand stitch "forward-needle". Then, with a similar stitch, we sew the base for the eyes, which looks like a recumbent eight.

If the eyes are sewn in the form of beads in the center, then the pupils should be sewn on first, and only then we sew the detail into the "eight" in place of the eye. If the eyes are glued, then first we sew the part of the eye and then glue the eyes or pupils on top.

Without changing the seam technique, we sew the beak in its place, which is located exactly in the middle. At this stage, the front part of the product is completed.

Then fold the front and back pieces together. So that they do not move, we pin with pins. Now, with suitable or contrasting threads, we sew these two parts with a buttonhole overlock stitch. If you need to give volume, then through a non-stitched hole fill the animal with filler. When the product is stuffed, we sew up the hole. After filling, you can sew on the paws of the bird.

The final step is sewing on the wings. The area for sewing on the wings can be decorated with beads. To give a cute look to the ear, you can sew a felt flower.

Textile pillow toy

The pillow toy will please not only children, but also adults. Such things fit perfectly into any interior, bringing warmth and comfort to it.

Materials and pattern

What you need to prepare:

  • A few fabric scraps.
  • Threads of different colors.
  • Sintepon.
  • Needle.
  • Scissors.

As with any sewn product, for further work, you must first draw a pattern.

It consists of several parts:

Steps for sewing a pillow

How to sew a pillow-toy in the form of an owl:

  1. Dimensions are randomly selected depending on the size of the pillow. But the pattern can also be printed from the Internet if there is no time to draw it.
  2. Next, cut out all the elements of the templates. First, we transfer the body part. To do this, take the material and fold it twice, then fold the already folded fabric again. Now we pin the template of the body of the owl to the fold of the fabric with pins and trace the contours of the template with a pencil. At the same time, be sure to leave allowances for the seams. Now we cut out.
  3. Then we unfold the cut parts and stack them face to face. As a result, the wrong parts look up, and the front ones turn out to be from the inside.
  4. We fix the detail of the tummy with pins to the fabric folded in half, outline and cut out.
  5. We fix the fabric part of the tummy with pins to the body on the front of the outer side right in the middle.
  6. If the product is sewn by hand, then sew the belly to the body. If the pillow is made on a sewing machine, then with a simple zig-zag stitch we sew the middle onto the upper fabric of the product.
  7. After that take templates for the inner ear and transfer the pattern to a material of a different shade. Only in this case we cut out the details without allowances.
  8. Next step: pin the ears in place with pins and leave it like that for now.
  9. We take a material of a different shade and cut out the largest eye detail from it. From a fabric of a suitable color, cut out the middle part of the eye. The smallest detail of the eye - the pupil - is made of fabric of the third color.
  10. Made from matching fabric cut out the beak.
  11. Now all the details of the muzzle are pinned with pins in their places so that in the future they do not slip.
  12. Further from a fabric of a different shade cutting out wing pieces in the amount of two pieces. We also fix them with pins.
  13. When all the details are already fixed, sew with a zigzag stitch all these elements to the body.
  14. Then turn the body with the sewn parts inward, and the wrong side up, we also lay the second part of the body with the front side inward, that is, the two parts are located with the front side to each other. We grind these parts along the contour, but leave a small area below to turn the product inside out.
  15. In places where there are corners, we make cuts without reaching the stitched seam. Now, through the left area, turn the future pillow inside out and straighten all the seams. The hole is not closed yet.
  16. We transfer the four parts of the paws to the fabric. To do this, fold the material in half and pin it with pins to the material. Next, draw the contours of the template with a pencil and cut along the drawn lines, not forgetting about the allowances.
  17. It turned out four pieces of fabric. We fold the two parts right side to each other and sew on the wrong side, leaving an area for eversion. We do the same with the second leg. We turn both paws on the front part.
  18. We fill the paws and pillow with filler: evenly, filling all corners of the product. For convenience, you can use a stick to push the filler.
  19. We bend the fabric on the body and paws with cuts inside and fix with pins. We sew up the curved sections and open areas with a blind stitch.
  20. At the last stage sew the paws to the pillow.

The owl is a symbol of wisdom, so its image must be in every home. If you don't already have it, now is the time to get it. Funny owl pillow will decorate the interior. Since such a product will "live" on the sofa, sew a pocket to it, and you will no longer lose the TV remote control.

What do we need

To make a product, prepare:

How to sew an owl pillow master class

Here are some cute do-it-yourself owl pillows you can sew. Be patient and in two hours you will be able to fall asleep, hugging the symbol of wisdom.

For the pattern you will need paper (you can use old newspapers), scissors, a pencil, your imagination. On one sheet of paper, draw a torso with pointed ears, cut out the template. The pattern should look like the photo above.

On the second sheet of paper, draw additional elements - a wing, a beak, two circles for the eyes, a large one and a smaller one.

We cut out our blanks.

The eyes of the owl are large, should occupy about a third of the body. We recommend making a large circle white, then they will stand out favorably on any color of the body.

The color of the fabric for the body and additional elements should be different, but of the same tone. No need to make a red owl with green wings - this combination will not give originality, although the choice of colors is exclusively your prerogative.

Now we take a paper pattern of the body, apply it to the fabric folded in half, fasten it with pins in order to avoid displacement, cut it out along the contour.

We do the same actions with wings, beak, eyes.

We put the pieces together. If you notice inaccuracies, then at this stage it is much easier to fix than after flashing.

We fasten the small and large circle with pins as shown above.

You can sew with a machine or sew with floss threads, as shown in the figure.

In the same way, we sew the remaining elements - wings and nose.

The front side of the pillow will look like this. For the practicality of the pillow, you can add a pocket in the front or back.

When the muzzle is ready, you can start sewing on the back. To do this, fold both blanks with their faces inward. Sew the blanks, not forgetting to leave a small hole in the bottom of the owl.

Turn the finished product inside out and fill with filler. Next, you need to carefully sew the owl with your own hands. To be invisible, use a hidden seam.

The original owl will now take up residence on your sofa. So that she is not bored, sew her friends using the same technique, but from a different color of fabrics.

Good afternoon, today we will make an owl with our own hands - in a variety of techniques. This article is the largest piggy bank, where owl crafts are laid out by topic and the materials from which they are made. You will see simple crafts for kids in kindergarten or younger students. You will also find ideas for adult crafts on the theme of an owl, worthy of decorating the interior of a house or apartment.

  • Do-it-yourself owls from natural material.
  • Owl applications from leaves.
  • Owl crafts made of felt and fabric.
  • Owls from kitchen utensils.
  • Owls in quilling technique
  • Owl crafts made of paper and cardboard.
  • Mosaic owls made of buttons and tiles.

Let's start making an owl with our own hands.

Owl craft FROM WOOD.

Very beautiful owls can be made using thin log cuts. Ordinary firewood and a hacksaw in the determined hands of a designer can create an adorable owl craft. As we see in the photo below, we need one large saw cut (here you will need to work hard with a hacksaw) and several smaller saw cuts (this work is already fast).

A large saw cut will be the basis of the owl's body, and smaller saw cuts will serve as the eyes and plumage on the owl's chest. They can also become wings. Or the wing can be made from a cone or a piece of bark, birch bark from the same firewood (trimming the bark with scissors, giving it an oval wing shape).

If you do not have large saw cuts, you can use small saw cuts and make a beautiful little owl with your own hands. Eyes can be made from buttons (as in the photo below). Draw a wing pattern with a felt-tip pen or ordinary pharmacy iodine. Or the drawing of the wings can be made with a burning device - the paws can be molded from plasticine, fluffy wire, birch twigs or cut out of cardboard.

From wood logs you can make tall owls. With large eyes and a nose-bump. Such owl crafts will decorate your summer cottage. Or they can become part of a festive autumn composition to decorate a celebration - a wedding in the yard, for example.

Owl craft

from the bark of a tree.

Even ordinary pieces of bark can become crafts in the form of an owl. You just need to give a piece of bark the shape of an oval with two pointed corners at the top (to get the contours of the ears). And then we make the eyes and nose. The eyes are large and the nose is small, pointed down. Eyes can be from acorn caps, from saw cuts of a thick branch, from buttons, round slices of apples dried in the sun. Of two large flowers (for example, asters). From any natural material that has a round shape or a round cut.

Wings for such bark owl crafts can be made from ordinary leaves or paper (fabric) cut in the shape of an autumn leaf. As we can see in the photo below.

Craft wreaths with owls

with your own hands.

We have already said what beautiful autumn compositions in the form of wreaths can be made with your own hands as crafts for a school competition. In the same way, we can decorate our autumn wreath in the form of a large owl. And all this is done from autumn natural material.

All we need is a large sheet of cardboard (from pizza or from a packaging box from household appliances). And we also need a glue gun (sold in the craft and construction departments of the store is very cheap - it costs a couple of dollars).

Cut out a donut ring from a cardboard box. This will be the basis for the future owl. And now we attach pieces of natural material to this cardboard ring with a glue gun. In the woodshed there are always a lot of chocks, chips, bark and birch bark - everything is lying around idle. And we'll put it all together. We attach this natural debris to our cardboard ring. Add bright circles of eyes from colored cardboard, beak elements of wings (optional) and paws.

The eyes can be cut out in the form of flowers. How to cut beautiful paper flowers and many templates for them can be found in the article "Paper Flowers". Wings can be oak leaves - real or also cut out of cardboard.

A variety of dry leaves, herbs and flowers can be a source of owl crafts. You can cut out a solid circle from cardboard (without a hole in the center) and fill this entire round space with natural material. You get a rich autumn DIY owl craft - which will decorate any exhibition at a school or kindergarten.

Crafts-owls from CONES

with your own hands.

Beautiful cones - large and small - can be a source of beautiful crafts in the form of an owl. We take a large spruce cone (and even better cedar, but it is not so easy to get it in the city) and a small pine cone. The fir cone will be the body, the pine cone will be the head.

With a glue gun (or on plasticine), we attach a small cone to a large one - at an angle. Do not worry if the gluing place turned out to be sloppy - it will be closed by the owl's large eyes. Next, you need to put the craft on paws - we make them from dried bean pods(we also attach it to glue from a gun or plasticine). Next, we cut the sides of the cone-body with a knife, take out a row of ingots on the left and right, or push the scales apart, and into this gap we insert bunches of thin birch branches onto the glue from the gun.

Eyes are bunches of small straws(or dried stigmas from corn, or hairs from ears) that were collected in a bunch - then this bunch tied with thread in the middle. And from this mid-dressing fluff the bundle in a circle. And this circular fluffy spread was fixed with glue - pressing the button eye on top.

Your children can also make a small owlet from a single cone. Cardboard eyes, dried orange peel beak. Wings can also be made from the peel. Ears from leaves, a forelock on the head from a piece of moss. Moss can be brought from the forest. And on this moss bump and plant an owl craft - you get a wonderful autumn composition.

Even from the moss tussock you can make an owl. And the scales from the cone will be the plumage of the wings. The eyes are acorn caps, the nose is cut out of birch bark, and the paws too.

And if you have pieces of felt at home, then you can make such beautiful owl crafts.

And you can also gut the bump - pull out all the scales with tongs. And from these scales lay out the outlines of an owl like a mosaic-puzzle. All this is planted on a toned canvas from a piece of plywood - fastened with glue from a pistol. Complete the composition with a branch with dry leaves.

And also small cones, acorns, chestnuts, nuts and Christmas tree branches can be thrown into a transparent glass jar (let the child pick up everything his heart desires in the jar). And along with it, it remains to decorate the surface of the can in the form of an owl. It will also turn out an owl craft made from natural material.

From the remains of acorn and chestnut hats, you can make little owls with your children. Attach all parts to plasticine or sharp toothpicks.

Crafts-owls from LEAVES

with your own hands.

Leaf applications are another technique that is very suitable for creating any kind of birds, including owls. The rows of leaves resemble plumage, so owl-leaf applications look very realistic and artistically beautiful.

First, you can cut out a large owl from packing cardboard - the outlines of a future craft. And then cover it with feather-leaves on a glue gun.

You can lay out the application of an owl from the foliage of coniferous plants - fir, spruce, pine. The base for the application can serve as a sheet of cardboard, plywood or a cut of a thick log. Lay out the edges of the application with sprigs. And then in each sector of the craft - on a layer of glue - put needles and fir paws.

It is very interesting when not only dry leaves and flowers are used in the application of an owl from natural materials, but also a more uniform filling: poplar fluff, dry grass, pieces of moss.

You can also do PHOTO-DIY, this is when you work with fresh material that cannot be glued and sealed for a long time. A perishable craft can only be fixed by means of PHOTO-SHOOTING. That is, on a table on a white background, we lay out our craft - without glue just like that - and then we take a photo in good quality and print it, put it in a frame and it serves as an interior decoration. These photo crafts with owls can be used as gift pictures or greeting cards.

Household items

in the manufacture of crafts-owls.

Ordinary bottle caps can be turned into cute owls. Very cute mini owl crafts your kids will love. They will be happy to play with them, settle them in a dollhouse, ride in a Barbie Cadillac.

And if the cork is cut into round saw cuts, then an owl can be laid out of them like from a geometric mosaic. Nice and interesting owl craft for kids.

Any household items that have already served their kitchen age faithfully can turn into pets - cute and cozy owls. Can and beer lids will give the owl craft expressive eyes, eyes straight with cilia. The wire wrapped around the perch will become the tenacious paws of such an original owl.

A chipped saucer that you were about to throw away, cups with broken handles, old can openers - everything can be the basis for an owl craft. Bright beautiful and unusual.

You can also twist a beautiful owl craft from household twine (as in the photo below). We inflate two balloons - a larger one for the body and a smaller one for the head. We throw a roll with twine into a bowl, where glue (silicate or pva) is already poured - we wind the threads smeared in glue on balloons. Dry by hanging on a chandelier. We burst the ball, separate it from the thread web. We get two spider web balls - we put them on top of each other and form the rest of the elements of the owl - ear ties, eyes, cotton pads with cardboard pupils, a nose and an elegant tie around the neck with a cone or a sprig of acorns.

From an ordinary plastic bottle, you can make an owl with your own hands. It is necessary to cut off its lower part from the bottle (this will be the top of the head) and the upper part, cutting off the neck from it (this will be the lower half of the owl). We dress two parts on top of each other and paint with paints. If you use not acrylic, but gouache, then after painting and drying, you need to fix the paint with hairspray.

Ordinary corrugated packaging (cardboard boxes from a TV, etc.) can become a source of material for do-it-yourself owl crafts. The easiest way for children is to cut out the silhouettes of owls and stick bottle caps on them. Bright colored plastic lids will be even more elegant than metal beer lids.

Corrugated cardboard craft can be supplemented with colored paper inserts.

And the technique for making such an owl craft can be different - both on a flat cardboard base, and using corrugated cardboard rolls, as in the photo below.

We just cut the cardboard into strips - we twist them into rolls, fixing them with glue, and from such twists we make a craft. And you can make owl legs out of wire.

You can buy real children's craft corrugated cardboard and make neater owl crafts out of it, as in the photo below. Children will like such an owl with their own hands - it is beautiful, quite simple and elegant. And in the New Year, it can be hung as a toy on the Christmas tree.

DIY owls

in quilling technique.

Quilling is a technique for making crafts from thin paper strips that are twisted in the form of twist modules. The modules are given different sizes and shapes, and crafts are assembled from them like puzzles - flat or voluminous.

Below we see a very small owl made by hand in this technique. We wrap strips of black paper around a thin rod. Then we wrap these round black coats with white paper strips, then blue ones - we get three-color eyes.

The body is the largest roll of white paper.

Eyebrows are round twists - which were first twisted tightly around the shaft, then they were allowed to unwind, and then rolled into the shape of long wavy modules.

The wings and nose are also round twists, which were slightly relaxed, unwound and then gave them a teardrop shape with your fingers.

You can twist an owl from oval narrow long twists as in the photo below. The ears are the same round twists that were triangular in shape with the fingers.

We can lay a quilling owl with our own hands on a cardboard base - arrange it in the form of a regular application-picture.

Paper owls with their own hands.

Crafts-applications.

The simplest children's owl craft is an application made of paper and maple leaves. For a kindergarten of a younger group, this craft is the most suitable. It's quick and easy and the kids love it.

The silhouettes of owls can be generally undefined - in the form of a cloud with uneven edges, made of paper, unevenly torn, from fluffy pieces of cotton wool or synthetic winterizer.

Owl crafts can be painted with paint applied by poking with a piece of foam rubber (photo below).

Children of the middle group love to make broken applications. First you need to tear a sheet of paper into thin strips - and then each strip into paper scraps. Having made a bunch of such blank scraps, you can start making an owl with your own hands. The color can be brown, black or white if against the night sky.

Older kindergarten groups or younger students can make such an autumn owl craft. The trunk of a tree is a sheet of paper that is folded in half lengthwise and in half again - only 2 times. Then they unfolded and got a sheet of paper, divided by fold lines into 4 parts. We glue the two extreme parts with each other with an overlap - and the two central parts eventually rear up like this angle - forming a convex log. We cut a hollow hole in it with scissors. At the bottom of the hollow we glue a spring made of paper (I already told you how to fold two paper strips criss-cross into a spring). And on this spring that rises above the bottom of the hollow, we are already pasting an owl made of paper or cardboard.

From ordinary paper bags you can make an owl very quickly. We put a lump of crumpled newspaper in a bag - we tie the bag with twine. We glue the nose, eyes and paws on it and get a simple and quick do-it-yourself owl craft.

You can also make an elegant owl craft out of ordinary cardboard. Rolling cardboard into a tube- fasten to the stapler (staples), because the glue will not hold. Further, in the upper part of the cardboard tube, we press with a finger - in front and behind - and we get owl ears.

It remains to figure out how to decorate it. The beak, eyes and paws are understandable. But you can also add wings from paper fans or paper cupcake liners. From the same molds you can make lush breasts of an owl - as in the photo below.

DIY owls

FROM FABRIC and FELT.

Any fabric is suitable for making an owl. Your trousers. Remains of upholstery. A torn floral chintz blouse. Any pruning can very quickly become beautiful do-it-yourself owls.

Even ordinary socks can turn into cute owls. The toe is cut off. And from above it is cut in the form of a triangle. This triangular protrusion is thrown forward - and forms the ears and the tip of the beak. We sew eyes and wings from felt or pieces of the same sock.

flat crafts-appliques from felt in the form of an owl also an interesting topic for children. Here you need to carefully cut out all the details and sew them on a thick fabric stretched over an embroidery hoop.

DIY felt owls can be made in a variety of styles. It can be a charming lady owl - a pure charm - or crafts in the form of an owl bully.

Felt owls can complement elegant autumn wreaths for interior decoration.

Also, your children will be happy to make a whole tree with small felt owls.

In the form of an owl from felt, you can make a keychain and an odorous pendant in the car (if you fill it with the contents of a laundry sachet - dried lavender, etc.).

Also, a cover for a phone or a notebook can be sewn in the form of a cute owl with your own hands.

And even table setting can be decorated in the theme of owls - sew cutlery cases with owl wing pockets.

Owl drawings

Children's crafts.

You can also make your own crafts stickers from stained glass rubber paints. On a sheet of paper we draw a sketch-draft of an owl. We insert a sheet of paper into a transparent office file - and outline the outlines of the picture with stained glass children's paints. Dry on the cabinet - one night. And peel off the frozen dense owl pattern from the cellophane and glue it on the window or mirror. A beautiful craft-owl with your own hands.

With ordinary paints - gouache or acrylic, you can draw bright cartoon owl y. It is very simple here - the shape of an owl can be any - the main thing is that it has ears, eyes and a beak. Everything else is up to your taste and imagination.

The main thing (pay attention to the photo) is each painted element of the owl outline with separate color. Then the drawing will be expressive and not vague.

You can draw a whole owl tree. First draw with a pencil. And then ask the children to decorate with all the colors. They will love this coloring with their own hands.

DIY owls

Mosaic crafts.

Children are very fond of play puzzle. And what if this mosaic is made of colored buttons and beads. And offer them the contours of an owl drawn on paper. Children will be happy to fold such owls. If the application turns out to be successful, you can take a picture of it, then remove all the buttons and repeat the craft from the photo already on the hot glue from the gun.

Buttons are now an expensive pleasure. To make the craft require less money, you can order cheap sets of buttons on ali-express (Chinese website). You can also use buttons only in some elements of the owl - and fill the rest of the space with beads(cheaper this way) - as it is done in the photo below.

You can add the contours of such a mosaic from long sticks of glass beads- as in the photo of the craft below.

You can make a mosaic owl with your own hands broken ceramic tiles. We break the usual facing tiles with a hammer (wrapped in a towel so that the fragments do not scatter).

Prepare a flat tray. Put a cement or gypsum mortar on it - a mixture for laying tiles is suitable. On this wet solution, draw the outlines of an owl with a sharp stick and lay the mosaic.

It is very good to use in such applications old CDs- they are simply cut into pieces with scissors. It turns out very beautiful (photo below).

Also in such a mosaic application, you can use large beads, rhinestones and glass decorative pebbles from a decor store.

Under such a mosaic craft, you can make a substrate from a kitchen board. And then this DIY painting can decorate your kitchen.

For those who like to do crafts, you can offer an actual idea of \u200b\u200bmaking an owl from improvised materials. Such a thing can decorate any interior, and for elementary school children it will be a good craft for a labor lesson.

Materials and manufacturing technique

Every child should know what an owl can be made of. We list some materials, but with sufficient imagination, this list can be expanded:

  • natural materials;
  • Two-dimensional owl made of leaves;
  • Fabric and felt;
  • Paper and cardboard applications;
  • Tiles and buttons.

Owl from wooden parts

A beautiful craft of an owl can be obtained if you use saw cuts of thin and large branches. With the help of a saw and the required amount of firewood, you can make a lot of cuts. For the base, a thin cut of a large log is taken, and small cuts of twigs are used as feathers.

Larger cuts are made for the eyes and wings. Other elements of the wings can be cones or bark. The blanks are brought to the desired size with scissors.

Do not be discouraged in the absence of large cuts. You can use smaller cuts, and then you can get an owl of small sizes. A little more of these products can be made.

On a saw cut, you can draw plumage with felt-tip pens, or iodine. And glue buttons as eyes. A burning apparatus is also useful, and plasticine from which paws are made.

A tall tree trunk is suitable for the body, and a wooden cut is used for the head. Large eyes from saw cuts, and a small bump for the nose will do. Ears are made from thin twigs (twigs). Small feathers are also glued to them.

Craft from the bark

Consider how to make a simple owl for children. In this case, a large piece of bark will do. It is processed so that the workpiece acquires an oval shape. If possible, make two ear contours pointed at the crown.

Acorn caps will look original as eyes. Large saw cuts of twigs, buttons, large apple dryers are also suitable. Wings are cut out in the form of a sheet of fabric or cardboard. Autumn leaves are best.

Owl in the form of a wreath

An owl, made in the form of a large wreath, is a good autumn composition. In the process of creativity, not only natural materials will be used, but also parts of cardboard.

Making an owl with your own hands at home will begin with cutting out an oval ring of thick cardboard. For crafts, it will be the base on which you need to apply glue. Next, having collected the material at hand, you should glue it to the cut out oval.

Chips, small twigs, pieces of bark can be used. Eyes can be made from circles of multi-colored cardboard, it is advisable to use bright colors. Paws, wings and beak are also made from it.

For the eyes, circles cut out of fabric in the form of flowers are suitable. And make the wings out of autumn oak leaves. If there are no suitable leaves at hand, then they are cut out of cardboard or fabric.

Dry grass, leaves, and even flowers can be used. An oval cardboard circle can be made without a slot inside. Then the center is sealed with any improvised material. Such a craft for the school will be a good decoration at the exhibition.

Owl from a cone

A variety of cones inspires the creation of crafts. Consider a master class on how to make an owl craft from a cone. The larger it is, the better. Ideally, take cedar, but it is extremely rare. Therefore, we take a large spruce and pine cone.

Glue or plasticine is suitable as a fastening material. Since the spruce cone is longer, it will become the body, and the pine cone will stick for the head.

Two elements are fastened together at an angle. Dry bean pods will become paws, they are fixed with glue or plasticine. To make the wings, you need to make side cuts with a knife in the spruce body. Pull out a few scales, and place a small bunch of thin twigs in this place. This element is attached with glue.

We will make eyes from a small bundle of hay. It is tied up in the middle, and fluffed up on one side. The result should be an even fluffy circle. Also for the eyes, you can take small straw, dry corn stigmas, barley hairs. Finished elements are glued together, and buttons are fixed in their center.

For the eyes, cuts are made in the bump. They are inserted together with a few thin branches to serve as cilia, and glued. The same is done for the paws, but they are made only from dry branches. The composition is ready, the photo of the owl craft turned out to be a very attractive product.

craft for children

Homemade from a cone has a different design complexity, but the process is fascinating, so even children will be interested. For them, there are crafts a little easier to make. For example, only one cone is used as the body and head.

They make cardboard eyes, and a beak from a dried orange peel. It can be glued for wings. The ears of an owlet are made of leaves, and put a piece of moss on the head. The product is almost ready, it remains to plant it in a clearing of moss. The little owlet is ready!
