Your chance to get to a private show will increase significantly if you work in the fashion industry: a photographer, blogger, buyer, stylist or journalist. Thanks to this profession, you will be able to receive an official invitation by being accredited on this site.. After approval, you will need to pay a commission (50€). Accreditation starts 3 months before Fashion Week.

You can also send applications to the press centers of brands presenting their collections at the show. Required contacts can be found on this website.. If you are just starting your journey in the fashion industry, then most likely you will be invited to start by young designers. But this is a great start!

Invitations will be sent to the address of the hotel in Milan where you will be staying during Fashion Week. Therefore, clearly write the address and name of the hotel, otherwise you may be left without a show. It is also better to warn the hotel staff in advance that letters will be sent to your name.

Another interesting way is to get a job as a volunteer. Your duties will include seating guests, helping models, passing people at the entrance, and so on. An application for such work can be sent through agencies or by contacting the press center of brands on your own.

The most anticipated was, of course, the show Gucci. Alessandro Michele continued his journey through time. Its history dates back to Ancient Rome, but also tells about characters from other times. In his new collection, Alessandro Michele tried not to miss anything. The runway showcased colorful colors and Prince of Wales checks, 80s inspired mini dresses and sparkly satin suits, vintage and modern. Perhaps the most important hero of the collection was jewelry, which generously adorned both male and female images. Unisex style has long been a tradition at Gucci, and as representatives of the fashion house again combined men's and women's collections in the show, it was not always easy to distinguish who is who.

Founder and designer of the Fashion House Alberta Ferretti went against the trends and, despite the desire of some brands to dress women as men and men as women, presented an elegant, lyrical and very feminine look on the catwalk. Soft tones of pink, blue and green gave the outfits even more delicacy and tenderness.

Already on the first day of the shows, it became clear that many Fashion Houses prefer to organize joint shows of men's and women's collections. Does this mean that soon we will have to part with men's or women's Fashion Weeks? Quite possible. The main thing is that men would not part with the male image, and women with the female.

The second day of Milan Fashion Week was the epitome of femininity and romance. Maybe because the collections used such exquisite fabrics as transparent organza, noble satin, shiny crepe de chine - everything sparkled, sparkled and translucent, creating an intriguing “I see - I don’t see” effect.

Or maybe because on this day the true creators of Italian style, veterans of Made in Italy presented their shows: MaxMara, Fendi, Prada, Luisa Beccaria and Moschino.

And the role of novelties on the podium was played by fabrics - chiffon and organza, which gave women's images a special appeal and sexuality. There were also men's two-piece suits at the presentation, but they have long since organically fit into the women's wardrobe and have not spoiled the elegant and feminine style of the collection.

And here in the garden Luis Beccaria Everything was in bloom, as always. Roses, daisies, and other wonderful flowers covered the floor-length dresses. The faces of the spectators present at the show also bloomed: apparently, the collection radiated a truly positive energy. The Milanese designer continued to sing of romance, while still managing to remain modern.

Karl Lagerfeld has been living between Paris and Rome for many years and, despite his very mature age, manages not only to create ingenious collections, but also to keep two leading fashion houses afloat: Chanel and Fendi. He does not hold genius, because he once painted for MaxMara those same camel coats that the brand's designers still periodically take out of the archive.

At Milan Fashion Week, Karl Lagerfeld presented Fendi. For this Italian brand, he created a very elegant collection. She wore feminine pencil skirts, long bell skirts, sheer dresses, and fitted raincoats. Sexuality was in everything. The Fendi designer did not refuse romantic chiffon, but he suggested wearing transparent blouses over striped turtlenecks.

On Friday, two giants of the Italian fashion industry: Armani and Versace clashed in the battle for supremacy.

At first, this day belonged entirely to King Giorgio. The founder of the Italian "prêt-à-porter" is never wrong. So this time, in his new spring-summer 2018 collection Giorgio Armani managed to successfully combine glamor and elegance, luxury and sophistication. Even though glitter was the key of the collection, everything looked unusually elegant and without frills. The designer did not forget about his favorite total black, he also remained faithful to the men's suits of twos.

However, to everyone's surprise, Armani was not the only hero of the day. The king of Italian fashion had to share the stage with another famous brand - Versace. This brand ended its show with a stunning finale that attracted all the press to its side. Donatella's collection, dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the death of the company's founder, Gianni Versace, combines all the designer's archetypes, from studded leather jackets to colorful prints. But the main surprise was presented at the end of the show, when, under the phrase “Gianni, I love you, we love you, this is all for you”, 5 legendary top models of all time took the stage in golden dresses: Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Carla Bruni. The spectators could not stay in their seats and everyone rushed to the podium in the hope of taking a picture or getting an autograph from the world's divas.

It is worth noting that next to the legendary brands, young designers are also growing. From season to season they delight with fresh ideas and bright trends. On the third day of Milan Fashion Week, Marco de Vincenzo showed his skills. In the spring-summer 2018 collection of his brand Marco de Vincenzo he sings of Sicily. Maxi T-shirts with the inscription "Ultrapharum" - as the island was called in ancient times - are somewhat reminiscent of T-shirts-souvenirs that are sold in tourist markets. That is why, when in 2012 she decided to become a designer, success came to her very quickly and easily.
It's important to note that at Milan Fashion Week, she not only showed off her expert tailoring skills, but also brought up the topic of overuse of technology. With the slogan “Stop Phubbing” embroidered on the T-shirts, Anna encouraged viewers to leave their phones for a while and take a closer look at the world around them.

After Peter Dundes, it's Paul Surridge's turn to manage the Maison's style Roberto Cavalli. The new creative director decided to play on the animalier prints that brought the brand great fame in the 80s. Evening floor-length silk dresses were undoubtedly the epitome of elegance and sophistication, but still did not bring the expected shake-up to the declining brand.

The fourth day of the Milan Fashion Week shows was not as noisy as the previous one. There was no deadly struggle for the front pages of magazines here, nor out of the ordinary provocations. The theatricality characteristic of Gucci was supported only by the brand's Sardinian designer Antonio Marras. It seemed that, finally, fashion houses thought about their fans and tried to present clean, measured and practical collections. And yet on this day on the catwalks it was possible to trace a lot of different novelties and interesting trends.

Show Bottega Veneta. Designers of the Italian brand tried to dress their fans elegantly and stylishly. They did not resort to pretentious tricks and presented a practical collection without any frills for an adult and respectable woman. The trend of the season was supported by sparkling rivets and sequins, as well as leather goods. Bottega Veneta designers offered a wide range of demi-season outerwear: raincoats, jackets and windbreakers.

Gabriele Colangelo adheres to the style of deconstructivism favored by the Japanese. The asymmetric design and geometric shapes looked very harmonious and neat, once again confirming the designer's extraordinary talent. Gabriele also adopted the technique of painting nui shibori fabrics from the Japanese. She decorated dresses, blouses and trim elements on clothes.

Among all the collections presented on the fourth day of Milan Fashion Week, the collection turned out to be the most feminine. Ermanno Scervino. Even on weekdays, a fan of the brand will look like a fabulous nymph. Luxurious chiffon dresses in this series can be worn under leather jackets, while nightgown-style dresses can be worn with a business jacket or sangallo cloak for special occasions.

White color in psychology is sometimes interpreted as an absolute beginning. It was with him that the designers decided to start showing their first collection. Jil Sander Lucy and Luke Meyer. The minimalist style inherent in the brand was enriched with pleats, draperies and expensive materials, one of which was crocodile leather. It's safe to say that it was not a bad start at all.

Because the expression "fashion show" does not capture all the beauty, theatricality and romance that the designer has put into the show. Not without reason, before the show, Fellini's phrase was written on the brand's page on Instagram: "I don't want to try, I want to show." Who is better able to travel in time: the Sardinian designer Antonio Marras or the favorite of the press Alessandro Michele - perhaps we still need to discuss.

Since designer Massimiliano Giornetti left the company Salvatore Ferragamo, the former zest was gone from her collections. The brand, which has been and continues to shoe Hollywood divas, undoubtedly occupies the world championship in the shoe industry, but, unfortunately, it is not yet possible to say the same about their clothes.

Milan Fashion Week 2018. Day five

The main event of the fifth day of Milan Fashion Week, September 24, 2017, was the first ceremony GreenCarpet Fashion Awards 2017 held at the famous La Scala Theatre. National Chamber of Italian Fashion in cooperation with the organization Eco-Age and, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, honored the most environmentally responsible fashion companies with awards.
