What will be the production calendar for 2018 you will learn from our material.

Production calendar 2018 with holidays and days off

All holidays that are non-working days are listed in the Labor Code. These include (Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation):

  • New Year - January 1-6 and 8,
  • Christmas - January 7,
  • Defender of the Fatherland Day - February 23,
  • International Women's Day - March 8,
  • Holiday of Spring and Labor - May 1,
  • Victory Day - May 9,
  • Russia Day - June 12,
  • National Unity Day - 4 November.

All these dates reflect the 2018 calendar with holidays. According to the rules of the same article 112 of the Labor Code, a holiday coinciding with a weekend is “shifted” to the working day immediately following the holiday. In 2018, such a day is Sunday November 4, which means that Monday November 5 will also be non-working.

But there is an exception to this rule that applies to New Year's "holidays": the days from January 1 to January 8, coinciding with days off, can be transferred to other days of the year, as a rule, they are added to other holidays, thereby "lengthening" them and changing the calendar of working days. For example, in 2017, due to January 1 and 7, which coincided with the weekend, the February and May holidays increased by 1 day (Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 08/04/2016 No. 756).

What transfers are offered in 2018? At the suggestion of the Ministry of Labor, a Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 14, 2017 No. 1250 was prepared, according to which the production calendar for 2018 contains the following days off:

  • New Year and Christmas "holidays" will last from December 30, 2017 to January 8, 2018,
  • "holiday" days off from January 6 and 7 are transferred to March 9 and May 2, respectively,
  • holidays from Saturdays April 28, June 9 and December 29, 2018 are proposed to be moved to working days April 30, June 11 and December 31, 2018, so as not to break the "long" weekend.

If the Government adopts such a version of the resolution, then this is how everyone who works on the “five-day” will rest. For those working on a six-day week, they will remain working days on March 9, April 30, June 11 and December 31, since the transfer of weekends to these dates is planned from Saturdays that coincided with non-working holidays, and Saturday is not a day off for the six-day week.

Timesheet calendar for 2018: production time standards for "five days"

The norm of working time is calculated according to the schedule of a five-day working week with days off Saturday and Sunday, based on the duration of daily work or shift (Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation of August 13, 2009 No. 588n). This calculation procedure is also applied to the “six-day period”.

For the "five-day" week, the timesheet calendar for 2018 indicates the following annual norms of working time:

  • with a 40-hour week (8 hours a day) - 1970 hours,
  • at 36-hour (7.2 hours per day) - 1772.4 hours,
  • at 24-hour (4.8 hours per day) - 1179.6 hours.

The duration of work before the holidays, according to the 2018 timesheet calendar, is reduced by an hour on February 22, March 7 and May 8. Also, working hours are reduced by 1 hour on working Saturdays April 28, June 9 and December 29, due to which the rest is postponed to Mondays.

The norm of working time for any month is calculated as follows: the number of hours of the working week must be divided by 5, multiplied by the working days of the “five-day period” in a particular month and subtract the hours by which work is reduced on pre-holiday days.

For example: the production calendar-2018 in June shows 20 working days, incl. 1 pre-holiday (June 9). Working hours in June with a 40-hour week will be 159 hours (40 hours: 5 days x 20 days - 1 hour).

The total number of working days on the “five-day period” in 2018 is 247, of which 6 are pre-holiday “reduced” days, and 118 days off with holidays.

The 2018 production calendar with holidays for the five-day work week can be seen below.

2018 calendar of working hours with a six-day working week

The norms of working time for the "six-day work" in 2018, similarly to the five-day week, cannot exceed 40 hours per week (Article 91 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

The reduction of pre-holiday working days by an hour, for those working six days a week, is provided for on February 22, March 7, April 30, May 8, June 11, November 3, December 31.

Working days with a six-day week will be 299 days, and non-working days - 66 days.

The 2018 calendar with holidays and weekends (six-day week) can be found in this post below.

Symbols in the calendar-2018 with holidays and weekends

Traditionally, weekends and holidays are marked on the calendar with a different color than weekdays, usually red. Pre-holiday days, when the work should end 1 hour earlier, are marked with an asterisk.

The production calendar of Russia for 2018 contains information on how many working days are in a year, how Russians relax, how many days the New Year holidays, May holidays last, as well as the transfer of weekends and non-working holidays. Information assistants that facilitate the work of accounting and personnel are various calendars with the dates of important tax and statistical reporting painted in them. One of these popular "reminders" was the production calendar 2018. It is compiled annually. It is based on the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, which regulates the transfer of days off during the current year. It ensures the rational use of working days, weekends and holidays. A new legislative act on the distribution of days off in 2018 was issued on June 20, 2017.

From this day on, all departments of the enterprise can plan vacation schedules, work hours calculations, action plans for any period by month or quarter. But the standard working time is a five-day week: working days from Monday to Friday and two days off. Working hours vary from 8 hours (normal) to 4.8 hours (short day). Accordingly, the working week can be 40, 36 and 24 hours.
The amount of working time is determined on the basis of the Procedure, which is approved by the order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development. The formula by which the rate is calculated is given in the above document. It is quite simple: the number of working hours in a week, for example, 40 divided by 5, then the resulting number is multiplied by the number of days of work that is in the month, and finally, subtract the hours of reduced working days. But today accounting and personnel can forget even about these simple calculations. After all, the production calendar 2018 already contains the necessary numbers, comments and tips.

247 working days, weekends 118. The first quarter (January, February, March) of the year probably has the largest number of holidays - New Year's and Christmas holidays in January.

  • The first month of the year begins with the holidays that all Russians are waiting for, they will last from December 30, 2017 to January 8, 2018. They also include Christmas, the 7th. January 2018 has 17 working shifts, six days off and eight public holidays.
  • February - Defender of the Fatherland Day, February 23 in the 18th year falls on a working day of a five-day week. Therefore, the day preceding it, the 22nd, is a shortened pre-holiday day. That is, one of the days off will be “long”, from February 23 to February 25.
  • In March, with holidays and weekends, there are 31 days. Twenty working days, ten days off and one holiday non-working day.

Here, the Government of the Russian Federation carried out the transfer of Saturday January 6 to Friday March 9. As a result, we got a small spring break, because together with Saturday and Sunday there were four days of rest: 8,9,10, March 11.

Second quarter

The next period is April, May, June. In it, state transfers affected all three months.

  • There are 30 days in April, of which 21 are working, 9 days off. The 28th day of the month is pre-holiday, according to the first part of Article 95 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, it is shortened by one hour. It is affected by the postponement - this Saturday has been postponed to Monday, April 30th. So there was a continuous, four-day, rest period. The first holidays in May begin on April 29 and will last until May 2 inclusive.
  • In total, May contains twenty working days, 9 days off and two holidays - Victory Day and the Spring and Labor Day. The second holiday of May falls in the middle of the working week. It was not affected by the transfers, so May 8 is shortened by one hour according to the current labor legislation, and May 9 (Wednesday) is a non-working holiday.
  • The June work schedule in 2018 consists of 20 days of work, nine days off and Russia Day. This holiday, June 12, falls on Tuesday. Government Decree "On the postponement of days off" dated 06/20/17. Saturday, June 9 goes to the nearest Monday, June 11. The Russians are waiting for a working Saturday, and then a period of continuous rest includes June 10, 11, 12.

Third quarter

In the third quarter of 18 - July, August and September. There are no holidays during these months, but the period is significant in terms of accounting and the work of the labor protection service.

  • In July, before the 27th, the accounting department submits an important report on the profits of the enterprise and organization and pays the tax of the same name.
  • Until August 1, the structures of the organization responsible for labor safety submit to the FSS an action plan for labor protection to reimburse part of the costs that have already been made or are planned to be completed by the end of the year.
  • September, twenty working days and ten days off is the traditional start of business activity, more employees took their regular annual holidays.

If during the vacation there were reviews and or sick leave, it is possible to adjust its continuation, including being guided by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on the transfer of days.

fourth quarter

The last quarter, consisting of October, November and December, includes one holiday, November 4, National Unity Day.

  • October, as determined by the production calendar for 2018 with holidays, becomes the leader in the number of working days: there are 23 of them and eight days off.
  • November consists of 21 working days and 9 non-working days, including a public holiday. It falls on Sunday, which means, according to Article 112 of the Labor Code, it is transferred to a working day, Monday, November 5th. The first weekend of November becomes extended - from Saturday, November 3 to Monday, November 5. For those businesses that operate a six-day work week, Saturday will be a shortened pre-holiday day.
  • And in December, on the contrary, one of the Saturdays will be shortened, but working - December 29, the Government moved to December 31, ensuring the continuity of the rest period of Russians during the New Year holidays.

Briefly at the end of the year

The calendar of production dates for the 18th year, approved by the government, does not contain fundamentally new legislative initiatives. Despite the bills submitted to the Duma to abolish the New Year holidays or to add their duration to the May holiday, it does not reflect anything of the kind. It can be downloaded here in a convenient format with comments and necessary footnotes to print or just save. The relevance of all information available in the calendar strictly complies with regulatory documents.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation has prepared a draft transfer of days off in 2018. It differs from the schedule according to which the Russians lived in 2017. Details - in the material Federal News Agency.

How to relax on New Year's Eve in 2018

In 2017, December 30, which is considered a working day, successfully fell on Saturday, so we can consider it the beginning of a long New Year's vacation. Official holidays in late December - early January will be extended from December 30, 2017 to January 8, 2017, which is 10 days.

Postponement of holidays in January 2018

Next year, as well as this year, during the New Year holidays, two official holidays coincide with days off. That is why the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation proposes to postpone these days, adding a bonus to other holidays. And here's what happens:

  • day off 6th January(Saturday) may be rescheduled for 9th of March(Friday);
  • day off Jan. 7(Sunday) may be rescheduled for May 2(Wednesday).

As stated in the text of the document of the Ministry of Labor, these transfers will be made in accordance with the second part of Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

Recall that on January 7, Russia celebrates the second most important (after Easter) Orthodox holiday - Nativity.

Weekend changes in 2018

The main change compared to 2017 is not only that officials are proposing to increase the number of days off in March and May due to two days that fall on the January holidays.

Officials also propose to organize the postponement of the weekend from April 28, the 9th of June And December 29th(these three days fall on Saturday) - on April 30, June 11 And 31th of December(that's Mondays). The Ministry of Labor is confident that such changes will help organizations and companies plan their working hours in advance. So, it will be convenient for the inhabitants of the country.

How do we relax in the spring

Officials in 2018, following the calendar, are preparing us a long weekend. So, in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day, Russians will be able to rest for three days, and in honor of International Women's Day on March 8 - even four.

Before the Holiday of Spring and Labor, Russians will also be rewarded with a good mini-vacation - from April 29 to May 2. At the same time, Victory Day, although it is a day off, but the days standing next to it are not. And on May 8 and May 10, the inhabitants of our country will have to work hard.

How to relax in summer and autumn

In the summer, the time for vacations begins: if one of the Russians is deprived of such happiness, then it remains for him to console himself with the weekend. Both ordinary and unscheduled - in honor of the Day of Russia. In 2018, the Ministry of Labor proposes to make the weekend from June 10 to 12.

Also, three days will be allotted to the inhabitants of Russia and in November - on the occasion of the Day of National Unity. From November 3 to 5, people will have the opportunity to escape from the bustle of work and have a little rest.

Reaction to the new calendar

The reaction of social networks to the new schedule is still restrained. Users simply share information. Silent for now and Vladimir Zhirinovsky, which is known for its harsh statements regarding the schedule of rest of Russians.

So, a few years ago, he proposed canceling the New Year holidays, making January 2 a working day. According to him, the best gift for the Russians would be the complete abolition of the long-running New Year holidays. However, other deputies were able to defend the holiday calendar, adopted in the mid-2000s and giving the Russians long winter holidays.

A little later, Zhirinovsky softened his position: all holidays should be removed, leaving only three days off (January 1, May 9 and June 12). Instead, he proposed to give the Russians 30 days of vacation annually, as well as 15 days when they can take a break in excess of this schedule. Individually, independently, without general festivities.

Official holidays in Russia in 2018

Let's summarize. If the proposal of the Ministry of Labor is approved, then the Russians will be able to rest on the following dates:

  • New Year holidays and Christmas (December 30, 2017 - January 8, 2018);
  • weekend in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day (February 23-25);
  • International Women's Day weekend (March 8-11);
