Star stencils for cutting. Stencil of a five-pointed star a4 format. How to make a star with your own hands: a master class

The star has long been an image-symbol that carries its own meaning. We are used to seeing a star at the top of the Christmas tree and in the interior of our rooms on the eve of the winter holidays.

So that you can also decorate your favorite corner and make it a little cozier, you can try to make a star out of paper and cardboard with your own hands. Although it is simple, such crafts look very interesting and impressive. From ready-made small stars, you can make a garland or a whole composition, as well as simply throw voluminous paper stars into a gift box. It will look great!

  • The five-pointed star inscribed in a circle is nothing but a symbol of perfection. It means 5 elements (5 elements that make up the whole world).
  • The six-pointed Star of Bethlehem refers to the Nativity of Christ.
  • Eight-pointed - began to bear the name of the Virgin.

How to make a paper star different ways

So, the first and quite popular way to make paper crafts is a technique called quilling. It consists in creating some compositions from strips of colored paper, twisted in a certain way and interconnected.

To make a very simple quilling star, we will need: strips of paper of several colors (you can buy it at a craft store or cut it yourself, the desired width is 5 mm), scissors, PVA glue, an awl, a pen rod or a toothpick (to wind paper strips).

For each beam, you need to make 3 small elements in the form of a leaf or a drop, one medium, which will be in the middle, and one more - the largest, encircling all the others. First connect the middle loop with one of the small elements, then glue two more on the sides. And only at the end encircle the entire resulting part with another strip. Do this in several layers so that the loop is stronger. Make 5 such parts and glue together. Here is our first star!

The simplest way

There is also a simpler version of a voluminous five-pointed star. Just cut out 2 parts of the star according to the template or according to your own drawing. To make the drawing even, you can first draw a circle and enter the finished star into it. So all the rays will be the same length. Better to use thick cardboard, can be different colors. In each of the details, make an incision to the centers. In one - in the center of one of the rays (upper), and in the second - in the center of one of the recesses (lower). It remains only to insert them into each other and that's it.

All of these options are more suitable, for example, as Christmas decorations or just pendants for something, as they turn out to be quite large. But you can make small convex stars. Of these, a garland will look very interesting if you string them on a strong thread. So how are they made?

Small bulging stars

To make such stars, prepare strips of paper 9 mm wide and 221 mm long. It is important to make them even so that there are no difficulties in further work. Closer to one of the ends, make a loop and stick the end of the strip into it. Then remove it inward from the back of the workpiece, and wrap the remaining strip around the resulting pentagon. For each face - at least 2 layers. It remains only to squeeze out their middle to the center, and the first asterisk is ready.

Holidays, themed evenings, theatrical performances - all this requires certain paraphernalia. And just decorating the house with interesting items, especially if they are made by hand, is always nice. In our article we will tell you how to make a star out of paper. Everyone will be able to choose for themselves the method they like from the many proposed.

Take 2 square paper sheets and fold them in half, first on one side, then on the other, so that when you straighten the sheet, you get 2 fold lines - horizontal and vertical. Then fold twice diagonally.

With scissors, cut the paper a little (about half way) from the top and bottom along the folds, and then from the left and right.

Following the drawings, fold the edges from the cut lines.

To fix the craft, take the glue and process it on the back of all the star rays.

Then make the second asterisk according to the previous description.

Glue the two stars together as shown in the picture. You can decorate them with sequins, beads, rain, etc.

Let's get to work:

Five-pointed paper star

If you want to make a voluminous five-pointed star, then we advise you to choose such material for work as cardboard.

In addition to cardboard, scissors, paints, a simple pencil and glue should be in the workplace.

Star of Bethlehem

Method 1

Such a star will become a decoration in any room and not only on Christmas days. But we’ll warn you right away that it will take a lot of time, the work requires dedication, scrupulousness and patience. But the result will surely please you.

Before you begin, you should have the following materials on hand:

  • plain office paper (coloured) A4 in the amount of 50 pcs.;
  • dense threads;
  • PVA glue;
  • stationery scissors;
  • stapler.

Let's start doing crafts.

Star of Bethlehem

Take the sheets and cut into 2 pieces lengthwise.

Twist all paper pieces so that one edge is denser, the other is looser, coat with glue and squeeze a little more.

These will be the rays of our future star.

Take a stapler and start with 3 beams. Fix them in the form of a fan.

You should put such fans on the prepared dense thread and tighten it tightly.

You will get a ray-shaped ball on a string. This is our star, which can now be hung in any place convenient for you.

Advice! If in your work you use not colored paper, but plain white paper, then spray paint will help to give the star beauty and shine.

Method 2

Making a star that glows in the dark

There is nothing complicated in creating a luminous star, as it seems at first glance. Just take any template of the star you like, make beautiful holes of any shape (round, diamond-shaped, triangular, pentagonal, etc.). After that, carefully pull any garland with small bulbs through these holes. When the job is done, the template must be fixed with glue. This version of the star is a great way to update an old unsightly garland and give the interior magic.

Advice! The stars can be hung separately on ribbons, or you can simply connect them all with a garland and lay them out on a windowsill or other surface.

Video instructions

Finding a suitable and understandable video is a real gift for needleworkers. We have selected for you the most interesting, in our opinion, video instructions for creating stars in different variations.

Star 3D:

For interior decoration or themed holidays, such a decorative element as a star is often used. There are a lot of variations on the theme of making a star: large and small, voluminous and flat, double or single. Materials for making crafts also vary significantly. It can be paper, cloth, foil, wire and other improvised means. In this article, we will consider the most popular formats for making paper stars. Well, a selection of thematic photos, detailed diagrams and video material of a master class on making a star with your own hands will make the task easier.

How to make a small paper star

Such stars are small (1.5 cm), but in large numbers they look very impressive and original.

To work, you will need colored or glossy paper (you can also use old glossy magazines) and scissors.

  • First, blanks are made: paper strips are cut, 29x1.1 cm in size. The width and length of the strips can be changed according to the desired size of the future star.
  • Make a small loop from the strip (at the edge), then bend the protruding short end. It turns out a pentagonal figure, press it slightly.
  • Turn the product over (pentagon) and continue working with the long end of the strip.
  • With a strip, we begin to tightly, gradually wrap the pentagonal figure, without pinching it too much. At least 10 such wraps are obtained, that is, each face of the star is wrapped twice.
  • Hide the remaining edge of the strip under the bottom.
  • The next stage: the transformation of the pentagon into a full-fledged star. Holding the workpiece with one hand, with the nail of the other hand, press on the middle of the face of the pentagon, forming the rays of an asterisk. Five pressures - and the star is ready!

  • Such stars look very stylish in the interior: they can fill a glass vase or a jar. And if you do this business with the children, the motor skills of the fingers are perfectly trained.

How to make a paper star

To make such three-dimensional stars, you will need thick decorative paper, scissors and glue.

  • Draw blanks for the rays of the star, print and transfer to the desired paper.
  • Bend along the lines and glue along the edge (gluing allowances are given).
  • Then, glue five prepared templates together, getting a three-dimensional star.

  • The size of the stars can be adjusted independently by increasing or decreasing the size of the template.

How to make an origami paper star

Such stars look great and stylish from newsprint or music paper.

  • Fold a square-shaped sheet in half, then bend the triangle of one of the vertices.
  • Do the same maneuver with the other vertex of the rectangle.
  • Attach the opposite corner of the rectangle to the intersection point of the previous folds.

  • Next, bend the rays of the future star along the drawn lines. The remaining shapeless tail of the workpiece is cut off.
  • With the correct execution of all the folds, on the spread you can see the pentagon pattern.

  • The final stage is the most difficult. To get a star, you need to carefully bend and wrap the resulting template along the lines.

So, in this article, the most popular ways of making a paper star were considered. Completely different in appearance and manufacturing method, the presented options will ideally fit into the festive interior and become a spectacular decoration.

An ordinary sheet of paper can be a suitable space for creativity. Having given it the desired shape, the craft can be decorated by painting with felt-tip pens, paints. Fantasy and sleight of hand will help the kid create a masterpiece. And how to make a three-dimensional star out of paper, this article will tell.

Necessary materials and tools

All the tools and materials that may be useful in the work can be found in everyone's home. Therefore, absolutely anyone can do this work. To create a star you will need:

  • paper;
  • protractor;
  • compass;
  • scissors;
  • simple pencil;
  • decorations.

Instructions for creating a three-dimensional star

They start making crafts by choosing paper. For work, you can use both a regular sheet and bright multi-colored paper. A do-it-yourself voluminous paper star can be made of durable paper; in this case, the craft will come out quite dense, and it can be used as a decorative decoration for a room or a Christmas tree toy.

On the back of colored paper, you need to draw a circle, the diameter of which will correspond to the size of the star. For these purposes, a compass is suitable, but if it is not there, then you can use a saucer or other round object. After that, you need to draw a line from the edge to the center of the circle.

At the second stage, a conveyor ruler will come in handy. With its help, from a straight line, you need to mark an angle equal to 72 degrees, and draw a line. Thus, it is necessary to mark the entire circle - you get five lines.

The next step is to connect all the lines into a star. In the center of the part, you need to draw additional lines as illustrated in the picture. After that, the asterisk must be cut out and bent along the main lines so that the drawing looks inward. If thick paper was used in the work, then the folds should be worked on much more carefully so that they are as pronounced as possible. For these purposes, you can use any blunt object (ruler, back of a knife, etc.).

Do-it-yourself voluminous paper star is done quickly enough. In conclusion, you need to make a small loop so that a beautiful craft can be hung on a Christmas tree or somewhere else.

double volume

This option is a continuation of the first instruction, which tells how to make one convex part. This master class will tell you how to make a double volume.

According to the previous example, two similar elements should be performed. A template for a three-dimensional star made of paper is presented below. Its difference lies in the fact that there are additional elements designed for gluing parts.

The elements cut according to the template must be shaped and glued according to symmetrical additions. It remains to wait until the glue dries, and the volumetric paper will be ready.

Star from book pages

And although this star looks very beautiful, many may not be happy with the fact that they have to ruin books. This is not necessary at all, because they can be replaced with old magazines, newspapers or technical publications.

When thinking about how to make a three-dimensional paper star, you should first of all take care of the materials and tools necessary for work. You will need a voluminous paper star, it can be made by following the master classes presented above. In addition, you need to prepare scissors, glue, as well as an old book.

The first step is to make a lot of paper bags. For each of them you need a paper rectangle equal to one fourth of a book page. When a lot of details are ready, they must be glued to a paper star as shown in the photo. In conclusion, a little glue should be applied to the bags and sprinkled with glitter crafts.

Do-it-yourself voluminous paper star is made quickly and easily. To make it a wonderful decoration for a room, a Christmas tree or a gift, you can experiment with colors and sizes. Such elements can be fastened together using threads, glue or double-sided tape.

What a beautiful starry sky! Millions of small lights burn in the vast sky, forming the most unusual constellations. What are stars? These are not just points in the sky, in fact, they are special planets, heated to such a temperature that they are able to radiate a large amount of light and energy. Following the instructions on how to make a star out of paper, it is not difficult to create such beauty with your own hands. We can say that stars are flares, but what kind? The time during which they emit light is different for each. Surely, everyone is familiar with sparklers - you light them, and small sparks are sprayed on all sides - also stars. They glow for a short time - a second - and there is no longer a flash.

It is worth comparing the Sun - the closest large star to the Earth. How much light and heat it gives to the living planet! Millions of years will pass until it goes out, but now every creature lives thanks to the energy of the Sun. What a pleasure it is to watch the bright sun reflecting from the mirror-like snow sheet in winter, to bask in the spring under a warm May ray or sunbathe on a sandy beach on a hot day! In autumn, the orange sun seems to merge with the golden leaf fall. On a bright day and the mood is excellent, which cannot be said about cloudy weather. They say it's dark at night without the sun. But what about the Moon? No, this is not a star, but the light that it gives off is the rays reflected from the Sun, which has gone beyond the horizon.

constellations

Not only the Moon pierces the darkness of the night with light, there are other stars - those very visible points that burn brightly high above. Thanks to ancient astrology, modern astronomy and other "cosmic" sciences, 88 constellations are currently known, 47 of which were discovered many centuries ago. Constellations are groups of stars located in celestial space so that from them the human imagination could recreate the images of certain figures. In each group, the brightest, less bright and dimmer stars are distinguished. In ancient times, they were given great mystical (cult) significance, they belonged to different religions, superstitions, deities. Some of these ideas have survived to this day, however, the impact on a person’s fate is described by more realistic methods of biological and psychological influence, a vivid example of this is modern astrology. Why do you need knowledge of the constellations? Having made such a decision on how to make a star out of paper with your own hands, you can dream up by folding the completed elements into familiar shapes or, for example, create your own composition of the night sky.

paper star light

Stars in terms of beauty attract people with their bright light. Raise your head - and thousands of rays simultaneously capture visual perception - so that your head is spinning in pleasant delight. When inventing how to make a star out of paper, a person was guided by the desire to create an image, a likeness of heavenly bodies, from ordinary material available to everyone. Light - rays streaming from the main source, the representation of these rays - sharp tips extending from the center of the paper model. A regular star is a group of beams of equal size (including volume). However, for the sake of diversity, there are models with a different number of branches that differ from each other, following the prompts of your imagination, it will not be difficult to make a beautiful interesting star.

Application of crafts

Well, how such beauty cannot but affect the most solemn holiday of the year. The New Year tree - the main beauty of the evening - was honored to wear a bright star on top, like a crown. This emphasizes the special significance of a coniferous tree among other New Year's attributes; fluffy spruce paws are also often hung with asterisks. So the forest princess becomes simply irresistible in her appearance. Following the example of how to make a paper star for a Christmas tree, everyone can make similar decorations and dress up a green beauty.

In addition to the Christmas tree, the star is used as decoration in other cases. Beautiful crafts serve as an addition to the interior, festive clothes (for example, to a children's party), magnificent small paper sparks are used for various celebrations.

The red five-pointed star is the hallmark of the Red Army. On the eve of February 23 (or another military holiday), the boys are invited to do their own crafts using a glued three-dimensional star. This will emphasize the firm attitude of the growing strong half to the male military duty to defend their family and homeland. The craft will be a great gift for dad, uncle or grandpa on a suitable holiday.

volumetric star

Instructions on how to make a three-dimensional paper star will help you quickly and easily complete this craft.

To work, you need to prepare paper (of any chosen color), a compass, a protractor, scissors, a pencil, a ruler.

1. On a sheet of paper, using a compass, a circle of the selected radius is drawn (the length of each of the rays of the star depends on the length of the compass solution).

2. A radius is drawn anywhere - a segment connects the center (the point of the compass needle) and any point on the circle.

3. The star, in this case, is five-pointed. 360 degrees of a circle are divided by five, as a result, there are 72 degrees per ray. If a different number of rays is required, the circle is divided accordingly (4 rays - 90 degrees, 6 rays - 60 degrees, 7 rays - about 52 degrees, etc.). A radius is drawn every 72 degrees.

4. The length of the sides of the rays is determined by the following action. Points are marked on each radius at the same distance from the center. The greater the distance, the shorter the rays.

5. A perpendicular is drawn through each indicated point - from one edge of the circle to the other.

6. Segments are drawn from the center to each point of intersection of the perpendiculars.

7. The figure is cut out along the outer lines of the depicted star.

8. Volume is created by subsequent bending along short segments inward and outward along the central lines of the rays.

Volumetric star is done!

double volume

The previous instruction on how to make a three-dimensional paper star contains information for making a convex part on one side of the bounding plane. This example will show you how to do double volume.

1. Following the example of the previous instruction, two identical elements are performed - five-pointed stars. However, here, in addition to the main outer surface, elements will be needed to connect the two parts into one figure. These are special "ears" that complement the shape from the sides of the rays. The figure can be cut according to the printed pattern.

2. Embedded elements are similarly given a three-dimensional shape.

3. The design is glued along symmetrically cut additions.

4. Glue dries.

Double star in volumetric form is ready!

Star

The following instruction offers to execute a simple small asterisk.

1. A thin strip (1-3 cm) is cut from a sheet of paper of any color (preferably dyed on both sides) along the entire length of the sheet.

2. The strip is neatly tied into a loose knot in the middle and slowly tightened (just as carefully so that the paper does not tear).

3. The paper on all the loops of the knot must be pressed along one plane (putting it on the table, iron it on top).

4. Turning the pentagon in the middle (knot) to any side, you need to find the part of the strip that goes on top. The protruding end, located at its edge, must be placed on it and tucked shortly, tearing off the excess part.

5. The second end wraps evenly around the remaining pentagon, wrapping around each face it encounters. It is not scary if the end is long and it will take a long time to wrap. This is a positive moment in the further creation of volume.

6. Having reached the end, the end of the strip must be tucked under the nearest overlay (if necessary, tear off the excess).

7. The angle of each vertex of the flat pentagon is compressed with fingers perpendicular to the surface.

It turns out a little interesting star!

Origami

The following method will also tell you about creating a three-dimensional shape, how to make an origami star out of paper.

1. A square sheet is cut out of paper. The square is folded in half. The corner of the rectangle rises from the fold to the upper length and unbends, similarly - another corner of the same width.

2. The bottom corner of the opposite width comes to the center of the intersection of the last folds. Further, the same corner is pressed with its side against a new fold.

3. The lower right corner of the rectangle goes to the last oblique fold.

4. The imaginary large half bends back to the smaller one.

5. The upper part of the resulting figure is cut off so that the cutting line is approximately equal to the new smaller side. It turns out an isosceles triangle.

6. The whole figure is revealed. A massive star is forming.

Origami: method number 2

This origami-style instruction will tell you how to make an eight-pointed star.

To work, you need several square sheets of paper and sleight of hand.

1. One of the squares is bent in half diagonally and turned back.

2. The upper sides are applied to the resulting fold line.

3. The lower sides also rise towards the middle.

4. The upper corner obliquely bends down and turns back, similarly at the same angle - to the other side.

5. The figure is turned upside down and upside down at the same time. The upper corner folds convexly, and the lower one follows it up along the upper oblique folds.

6. Similarly to the received part, 7 more blanks are made.

7. The blanks are connected: the small corner of each next one is inserted inside the large corner of the previous part.

It turns out a great eight-pointed figure! You can also try such work as making a star out of rubber bands, this type of craft is more complex, but no less interesting.

For many years, the five-pointed army star has been a symbol of two wonderful holidays, such as February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day, and May 9 - Victory Day. This symbol is used in the symbols of the army, with its help they designate the rank of a military man. The five-pointed star is essentially a symbol of the era and the great state. Therefore, I suggest you learn how to make this beautiful symbol - a three-dimensional paper star.

To make a star, we need:

  • The template with which the whole process will go;
  • Colored paper or cardboard;
  • Glue;
  • Scissors;

Cut out two pieces according to this pattern. You can print it out or draw your own. The color of the parts may differ, this must be done from thick colored paper or cardboard.

The red lines show the gluing sites. The dashed line indicates the folds. To bend the parts in these places, you need to resort to a process called creasing, but simply punching. We take for this not a writing rod from a ballpoint pen, but it is even better to do this with the edge of an ordinary teaspoon. We apply the ruler to the dashed line and push the fold line with our tool, after which we carefully bend it, as a result of the manipulations done, we should get what is shown in the photo.

we bend the gluing points and coat them with any glue, you can use glue stick, in this case, unlike the use of PVA, our paper or cardboard will not get wet and will not deform. We glue them.

In the example, the halves of the star are made from different colors.

Volume star from two sheets of paper

This option is the simplest one you can think of. In order to make a star by February 23, we will again use colored paper or colored cardboard, however, in the case of the latter, it is worth looking for double-sided colored cardboard for you.

We cut out the star according to the template, or draw it with our own hands, I will tell you how to do this at the end of the article.

The red line indicates the cut that is needed in order to connect the two crafts into the final result.

On the second part, the cut will not go from top to bottom, but from bottom to top.

We join the parts by introducing them into each other with cuts.

All this will look even better if you decorate them with satin ribbons or glitter.

How to draw a beautiful and neat five-pointed star with even rays

For this we need:

  • Compass;
  • Pencil;
  • Ruler;

I will write down the next steps step by step:

We draw a circle of such a diameter that the star inscribed in it corresponds to the size of your future craft.

Then we draw a line AB through the center, and a perpendicular to it.

To draw an exact perpendicular in the middle, you need to draw two semicircles from points A and B whose radius is greater than the radius of our main circle, as a result, these two semicircles drawn from two diametrically opposite points intersect, draw a line through the intersections of the circles.

Let's denote the point of intersection of the perpendicular lines as point O. We divide the segment AO in the same way as we described above, we get points E in the middle of the segment AO.

From point E we draw a circle whose radius will be equal to the radius CE, that is, we put the tip of the compass at point E, and the writing part at point C, and with this radius we draw a part of the circle that intersects with the line AB. At the place of the serif, we put the point F. EF is the radius we need, equal to the length of the side of the inscribed pentagon in the circle.

Next, we take a radius equal to EF with a compass solution and from point C we make a notch on the circle, then we put the tip of the compass at the intersection of the notch and the circle, after which we repeat this procedure 5 times, as a result of which you should return back to point C. Mark in places intersection of the circle and the point serifs, erase everything except the points. Now it remains for us to connect the dots so that we get a five-pointed star, the second option is to connect the dots so that we get a pentagon.

Conclusion

It is not at all difficult to make a decoration for the holidays of the Victory and Defenders of the Fatherland out of paper, because even a small child can handle it. This article will help you learn how to make such crafts for children. I also advise you to watch a few videos on which people make such stars with their own hands. By the way, in addition to the patriotic motive, our crafts can serve as decorations for children's rooms, they will look amazing if you hang them under the stream, painting them with sparkles or fluorescent red, which will give your child a real starry sky, which you will make with your own hands with minimal manufacturing costs.
