And knitted New Year's balls look even more original and unusual, and can be an excellent home decoration for the holiday. To make a starch solution, which we then use to treat the knitted ball, you need to stir 3 tablespoons in a glass of water. powder.

After processing, the jewelry should be allowed to dry for at least a day. Then you can carefully burst the balloon and make a string, with which you can hang the toy on the Christmas tree. The decoration is ready!

There is another option that allows you to maintain a clear shape - use spray paint or decorative varnish. It contains glue that will fix the ball, and if the product in the can has color, the toy will turn out even more colorful and festive.

Simple New Year's ball made of threads

To make such a product you do not need a hook; one small skein of thread is enough. First of all, you need to inflate a small round balloon. And then take a skein of thread and wrap it around it.

After this, the threads also need to be treated with PVA glue or starch, allowed to dry and carefully burst the balloon. The color saturation and density will depend on the number of threads.

Each ball consists of three parts: an increase section (the beginning of the ball), a straight section (without increases and decreases, where the pattern is knitted) and a decrease section (we finish the ball).

Rows 1-13: increase area

Beginning row: Cast on 8 stitches and distribute evenly onto four double needles, 2 stitches on each needle.

A convenient way to set the initial row using a hook: make eight single crochets into it, connect the ring with a connecting stitch.
