- sharp scissors and a dummy knife;

- threads and needles;

- various decorative materials - it can be sparkles, sequins, confetti, multi-colored foil, stickers and much more.

This is a simple and at the same time spectacular Christmas decoration that can decorate any Christmas tree.
For manufacturing you will need:
- yarn;
- tailor's pins;
- plate or bowl;
- porous material (for example, a disposable tray);
- cutting paper;
- marker.
The template needs to be attached with pins (or ordinary toothpicks) to the porous material, and lay out the pattern you need on top - first the outline is laid out, then the interior decor. Do not cross the threads too often, the toy should be fairly flat. After you are done, dry the product and remove it from the pins, and tie a loop in the eye. If desired, you can decorate with sparkles or rain.
From wire
How to make Christmas toys with your own hands in just a couple of minutes? Use wire!
To make toys you will need:
- two types of wire - thick and thin (thin can be replaced with bright threads, for example, floss. Pure white strong threads look very nice);
- beads, beads;
- colored tape;
- pliers.
The ends of the thick wire must be twisted. You need to string beads and beads mixed on a thin wire, tie the end of a thin wire to a future Christmas tree decoration, and wrap it randomly.

First, make a pattern on plain paper, and then transfer it to cardboard. Do not forget that the star must be double. Do not make the star too thin, it is better to make it from a centimeter or more. The tail of the twine is glued to the cardboard, then you need to gradually wrap the entire workpiece.
Lay the thread as tightly as possible so that there are no gaps. In order to decorate the star, make a couple of leaves and berries out of fabric and decorate one of the rays. Your decoration is ready.
From yarn and cardboard

The threads need to be cut into segments of approximately 20-22 centimeters. We fold each piece in half, draw the loop through the cardboard ring, and stretch the free edges of the threads through the loop. It is necessary that the thread is firmly fixed on the cardboard base. So you need to repeat until the cardboard base is hidden under the threads.
All thread tails need to be pulled through the ring so that our hat has a “lapel”.
And now we drag the free ponytails tightly with a thread and cut them in the shape of a pompom - the hat is ready! It remains only to make a loop and decorate your Christmas tree toy with sequins and sparkles.
From beads

Circle the details and cut out with a margin of 0.5 cm per seam. Unlike fabric, it is best not to use scissors when working with fur. If you don't have a special tailor's knife, use a sharp utility knife. Cut with sharp short strokes, do not drive the knife deep so as not to cut off the fur.
To sew the fur, it is necessary to apply two front sides to each other and straighten the fur outward. After sewing the toy, it is necessary to leave a small hole through which the toy is turned inside out and stuffed with filler. Previously, toys were stuffed with cotton wool, pieces of leftover fabric.
But such stuffing dries for a very long time when washing, and often after cleaning the toy was thrown away only because the stuffing did not dry out and mold appeared inside. Modern fillers are made of synthetic materials (synthetic winterizer and others), which dry quickly and well, do not stray and retain their shape. Having stuffed, it remains to sew with a hidden seam.
The final touch is the eyes, nose and mouth. You can embroider yourself, or you can buy ready-made accessories in the store.

I want to show you how to sew a Teddy bear (i.e. with movable legs and head), if there are no special hinged fasteners (cotter pins, discs, etc.), special eyes for bears and other accessories. I will show tailoring not a professional, but an amateur :)
So, I chose a pattern
I cut it out of fur, observing the direction of the pile:
2 children tummy
2 children backrests
4 children hands
2 children legs (I cut them with a fold at the back, since there is a straight line, so 2 parts)
2 children side of the head
1 children wedge head
2 children ears
2 children tail (it is not on the pattern, but I prefer to make tails for the bears, so I just used the pattern of the ears, rounding it a little at the base)
From finishing fabric (for example, artificial suede or fleece):

Before sewing the details, I cut off the pile from the seam allowances, so they (the seams) will be more dense and neat. First of all, I sewed the ears, pairwise connecting the fur part with the finishing fabric part. Seam allowances must always be carefully leveled, and in places of rounding (protrusions) or recesses (corners), make an incision perpendicular to the seam. This applies not only to the ears, but to all details. Then after turning the seams will not puff.
Then, I sewed the legs together, leaving the soles and the front section open.
I sewed the details of the feet into the lower sections of the legs from heel to toe. And only after that she turned out through the hole in front of her legs.
Stachala both halves of the tummy and both halves of the back. Then I sewed the back and front parts of the torso, leaving the neck opening unsewn.
She sewed a ponytail. She twisted her body and tail.
Having connected the side parts of the head, I stitched the line of the chin.

Then I sewed the middle (wedge) of the head between the sides, from the nose to the back of the head.

I sewed up the open areas with a hidden seam. And on all the details with a needle she straightened the pile from the seams.
The area of the muzzle (nose) I neatly cut out. Embroidered the nose and mouth. For the eyes, I used ordinary black beads, and for the eyelids, faux suede. I folded a wide section of the eyelids to the wrong side and glued it.
Then she smeared the narrow part of the eyelid from the inside with glue and carefully tucked it behind the eye from behind. Then, CAREFULLY with a needle (toothpick), she applied glue to the remaining parts of the eyelid and glued it to the eye from above and to the sides, tucking behind the eye, what it asks to refuel. As a result, the bear found a face :-)
To articulate the head, in the absence of special devices, I use ordinary wooden spools of thread, or bobbins if the toy is small.
From the same fabric from which the bear was sewn, I cut out a rectangle in size (so that it was enough to wrap the coil), cut it (here the pile is not necessary at all), or you can use, for example, fleece of a suitable color.
I smeared the coil (its narrow part) with glue, glued it with a flap and, for reliability, also stitched an overlap, tucking it a little. Well, why not the neck??
I gathered the neck openings of the head and torso on a strong thread (leaving the ends), tucked the seam allowances inside. Then I inserted one end of the coil (the wide part) into the head, and the other into the body, deeper, so that it didn’t turn out to be a long-necked animal :-) Then I tightened the threads and tied the ends into strong double knots. The ends of the threads led to the head and torso, respectively.
Now we can turn our heads.
I fastened my arms and legs with a rope connection. That is, using a thick strong thread or a thin rope, I first threaded it into one leg (on the side adjacent to the body), left one end of the rope 10-15 cm. The other end was drawn through the body at the points of attachment of the legs. Then she passed through the other leg, and through the body back, near the original points of entry and exit of the needle into the body. Returning to the first leg and not piercing it again, she tied the two ends of the rope with a strong double knot, pulling the legs together to the desired position. Then I put both ends of the rope into the needle and took them inside the body through one of the puncture points.

Cotton fabric is very suitable for sewing on a typewriter. Finished products do not deform, they look dense and elastic after stuffing, which gives sculptural character to soft hearts and stars.
Cotton bell
Very simple, like all ingenious. Radial symmetry appears due to the fact that the bell is sewn together from three parts along the vertical axis. As a result, 6 elements depart from its center - densely stuffed puffy corners.
Interesting options for combining fabrics are obtained when a material with a similar pattern is used in two colors, moreover, during assembly, the parts are folded so that the petals of the same color touch.
- First, we make a simple pattern with our own hands, which can be modified as you like, changing the ratio of the length and width of the product as you wish, cut out 6 identical parts from the fabric.
- Sew 2 pieces together, leaving 2 holes at the bottom. We turn the resulting 3 blanks.
- We evenly put the parts in a pile and sew the future New Year's bell in the middle from top to bottom on a typewriter.
- Through the holes left, we fill each part of the bell with a padding polyester or holofiber and sew it with a hidden seam by hand.
- It remains to decorate our Christmas tree toy with a ribbon on top, and on the bottom with a bead or bell.
Christmas decorations in patchwork technique
The details of such a New Year's toy are not necessarily contrasting. It happens that fabrics that are close in color, but with different fineness of the pattern, give a greater effect. Minimal decorations are needed: a ribbon, a bead, a button. Traditional shapes: six-pointed star and ball.
It is difficult to sew a ball of the correct shape with your own hands. Therefore, a variant was invented that simplifies and speeds up the implementation of such a toy. The basis is a ball of foam or polystyrene foam. A drawing of the future borders of the shreds is applied to it. According to this pattern, cuts are made with a knife. Then pieces of matter of the desired shape are applied to the ball and their edges are tucked into the slots. The seams can be decorated with a cord.
Using buttons
Button decor is in fashion right now. Entire pictures are created from button mosaics. Again, the contrast is appropriate. A toy Christmas tree made of felt can be embroidered with buttons, as if decorated with tiny balls. At the top of the felt cake, the buttons will play the role of sprinkles. In addition, you can take a plastic Christmas ball and glue it with buttons using liquid nails with your own hands.
