To some, the STORM 2.0 looks like a skintight Adidas gopnik suit.
In fact, the Craft is also radically different from the usual tracksuit, like a low Priora from a tuned Volvo‎.

The outer layer, pleasant to the touch, smooth cloth is VentAir® branded membrane fabric.

What is its membrane fabric feature?
The pores of the membrane are so small that they can expel water vapor from the inside while keeping the outside waterproof. Garments made with VentAir® protect against snow, rain and wind from the outside, while allowing steam to pass through from the inside, allowing the body to breathe.

What does this mean in practice?
When we actively move, we sweat. Especially if you're wearing a lot of clothes. The wind blows ordinary clothes through, cools the wet body. We are dying. In the case of a membrane, moisture from the inside immediately comes out, and external wind and precipitation are delayed.

What else? A couple of rules.
You need to dress in such a way that it is cool when inactive. Then when playing sports it will be comfortable and pleasant. Gotta stick to three-layer principle. The first layer should be a dense thermal underwear that removes moisture from the body, an intermediate insulating fleece or polartec, and the outer layer should be a membrane that protects from wind, rain and snow.

This is a white cloth that makes up the inside of the jacket, fleece with increased windproof properties. It retains heat and provides moisture removal.
Under the jacket you need to wear thin or warm thermal underwear, depending on the weather.

At the bottom of the jacket there is a drawstring, the ends of which go into the pocket. It is very convenient to adjust the tension so that the wind does not penetrate.

On the back of the jacket and trousers is not a membrane, but an ordinary blown fabric.
At first I thought that Craft decided to save money on the expensive VentAir®.
Not at all. The fact is that this suit is for sports. And this assumes (especially in skiing) that a person is moving forward at a decent speed, the flow is coming from the front. And from the rear the wind is negligible. Therefore, the back can be made of special polyester for better moisture removal.
A high windproof collar protects the neck - the most vulnerable place in terms of hypothermia, there are a lot of blood vessels.

These slanted strips below the knees not only hide the curvature of the legs, but also serve as a reflector in the dark.

A very elegant cut solution for the knees. The layers of the upper fabric are made with a large overlap on each other. It is easy to bend your knees, nothing interferes.

Zipper to make it easy to put on ski boots or sneakers.
At the bottom of the leg there is a silicone strip with an elastic band so that the pants do not fly off the boots.

Easy in combat
I ran about 10 kilometers on the biathlon track. It was nasty weather (like my face here), wet wind with snow in my face. The temperature is -8-10 degrees. Under the suit, I put on thermal underwear from polartec.
It was comfortable to run, not hot and not cold. I didn't sweat or get cold. Legs and arms flexed effortlessly. The wind blew through the smooth fabric of the jacket, but did not penetrate into the cracks, did not blow into the holes.
Definitely the best suit I have ever worn for ski training.
