Riddle about the iron barrel of water. Subject. Trees, bushes, herbaceous plants

Sometimes you can do some actions only with the help of special tools. And if they are not at hand, then you have to use all your ingenuity!

We invite the reader to try to solve an interesting puzzle that will test your logical thinking.

Imagine that you have a barrel that is about half full of water. You need to check if it is in fact filled exactly to the middle, and you do not have any tools at hand to do this. How can you check to what level the water is filled in the barrel?

But there is also a logical paradox. In fact, a half-empty keg is exactly the same as a half-full one. And since both parts of this barrel are equal to each other, it turns out that the whole ones are also the same. And since a half-empty container equals a half-filled one, an empty keg will equal a full one. But how does this conclusion come about?

Answers

In order to check the water level, you need to tilt the barrel so that the water touches its outer edge. If the bottom of the container is shown from under the water, then, therefore, the liquid level is somewhat less than half. When the bottom of the barrel is not visible when tilted, then the water in it is definitely filled with more than half. Well, in the case when the edge of the bottom of the barrel is exactly at the water level, then there is exactly half of the water in the barrel.

As for the slightly inconsistent conclusion about the equality of a full and empty barrel: a half-empty barrel is a barrel, one half of which is empty and the other half is full. And in the reasoning, it turned out that the definition “half empty” began to mean “half an empty container”, and “half-full keg” began to mean “half full”. Hence the wrong final conclusion.

Since ancient times, people have composed not only proverbs and sayings, but also riddles that fascinated with their poetry and capacity of content. Riddles and riddles - favorite hobby many children. Riddles introduce children to the world around them, broaden the horizons of children, train resourcefulness and ingenuity, observation and memory.

When selecting and using riddles, it is important to know what methods of encoding certain words or concepts are used in riddles. In a riddle, only signs of a particular object are often given, and the simplicity or complexity of the riddle depends on how many of these signs are given, to what extent they reveal the hidden object.

A lot of riddles are built on allegories. These include riddles where the action or attribute of an object is compared with the same action or a similar attribute of another object, in most cases with a living being.

Most often, riddles are given orally according to a list compiled by him in advance. The one who gives the correct answer counts known number points (for example, from 3 to 6, depending on the complexity of the puzzle).

The winner is the one who scores more points.

Sometimes riddles are written on separate sheets or cards. The children take turns pulling out the leaves and guessing the riddles that are written on them. The sheets must be returned to the presenter (or a specially assigned attendant) along with an oral answer, on the basis of which points are awarded.

Riddles can also be used to make board games. The texts of the riddles for this game are written on separate cards, and the drawings that are the answer to these riddles are placed in cells big cards(for example, six to nine drawings on the map). They play like a regular lotto. The facilitator pulls out cards with riddles and reads them.

The players together guess riddles, and the one who has a drawing on the card with the answer to this riddle covers it with a card. The winner is the one who closes all the drawings first on his card. For the manufacture of the game, you can use die-cut or decals that are commercially available.

For ease of use, we have divided all the riddles into topics. This selection is conditional, and, of course, neither the list of topics, nor even the selection of riddles on these topics, in any way claims to be complete.

RIDDLES AND RIDDLES IN CHOIR

There are riddles in which the answer is pronounced in chorus, by all those present. They are written in verse, and the word that is the answer to the riddle is referred to the end of the last line. It is easy to guess not only by the meaning of the problem, but also by rhyme.

Riddles with a collective answer are especially loved by kids. It gives them great pleasure to jointly guess and together, in unison, shout out the answer.

My son's birthday is in the cold season, so we celebrate it at home. But I liked the scripts of MIA pirate birthdays so much that I wanted to arrange a similar holiday for my child, otherwise what kind of happy childhood is it without treasure hunting? Fortunately, our dad's birthday is in the summer, and we always celebrate it in the country. Based on the characteristics of my summer cottage, I came up with the following steps. I wanted all the tasks to be active, the kind that cannot be done in an apartment. Since there were no riddles about the net and the barrel, I had to compose it myself.

I. Pirate's letter.

The game begins in the farthest corner of the summer cottage on the kitchen terrace. (While the children are eating the kebab, you need to hide all the clues, it is dangerous to do this in advance, because they can accidentally find it). When the meal is almost over, the leader comes to the terrace and says that while they were eating, he found something interesting - a small tin box. The host shakes the box, and it becomes clear that there is something in it. The children are asked to open the box. It contains a letter and the first clue. The letter reads as follows:

Old Jack, I hid your share of the treasure in one safe place, and in order not to forget where, I drew a map. At first I wanted to put it in a box, but then I got scared - what will happen if it falls into the wrong hands? Then I cut it into small pieces and hid it. I know how agile and smart you are, so I'm sure that you will cope with all the tasks, find all the pieces of the map, glue them together and find your treasures.

Hint #1.

riddle about the planer

Along the wooden river

A new boat is sailing

Twisted into rings

Its smoke is pine.

And where can we cut with a planer here? - Of course, at the workbench. We run to him (we have a homemade workbench on the street).

II. Crafting table.

On the workbench there are empty bottles from drinking “Agusha” with caps (one bottle for each child, if there are few children, then two). Children should knock down cans from a water gun from a distance of 1-1.5 m (the bottles must be placed on the very edge and shift the center of gravity, otherwise you won’t knock them down). When all the bottles are knocked down, you can see what's inside. In one of the bottles is a piece of the map, in the other - the next clue.

Hint #2.

the sand riddle

It's convenient for me to bake a cake.

Just don't eat it, my friend.

I am loose, yellow, inedible.

Guess who I am? I - …

Where is the sand? - Of course, in the sandbox.

III. Sandbox.

But the sandbox is not easy to get to. Everyone has to run along small boards that are scattered at a distance of 40-50 cm from each other and lead from the workbench to the sandbox (about 3 m) and plus a circle around the perimeter of the sandbox (we have it standard). It is important not to set foot on the ground, otherwise you need to start all over again. When all the children have completed the task, they are given scoops. In the sand, they find a capsule that used to contain a cigar. The capsule contains a new clue. And in a tin box from under cigarillos (buried at the other end of the sandbox) - the next piece of the map.

Hint #3.

a riddle about a butterfly net and a postscript that you need to take it with you to the next stage

On a stick a light hood,

He is very fast and agile

And always ready to help

Catch may beetles.

IV. The search for a net.

You need to find a net in the area. You can prompt children by type (cold-hot). In the net there is another piece of the map and a new clue.

Hint #4.

water barrel puzzle

I am a green fat woman

I'm standing under a pear

And when the beds are dry,

I give them water.

(We really have a green barrel of water under the pear tree in case the water supply is turned off)

V. Barrel.

In a barrel, you need to drown small glass jars according to the number of children. In one of them is the last piece of the map. In order for the jars to sink, they need to be filled with pebbles. It is advisable to put the card in a bag so that it does not get wet. The children fish out the jars with the net they found earlier. (We drew skulls and bones on the jars with a waterproof black marker. I hung a towel on the pear so that I wouldn’t grab the map with wet hands).

VI. Map.

Here the guys have collected all 4 pieces of the map. Children stick them on cardboard with a glue stick (the scraps should be different in size, preferably irregular in shape). Now you need to go where the arrows on the map point - to the watchman's house. There is an abandoned tractor. A red cross is drawn on the tractor. The chest with chocolate coins is inside the tractor.

Unfortunately, there were some overlaps. We peeled off the Agushi bottles and pasted stickers with pirate symbols, but because bottles are uneven, stickers peeled off all the time. So choose flat bottles. From 200 l. barrels, we quickly fished out the first jar. And then for 5 minutes all the mothers unsuccessfully tried to catch the rest. I had to call for help a two-meter dad with long arms. Therefore, it is better to drain half the water in advance or use a smaller barrel.

Props for three children:

1. a tin box from under a set of whiskey (2 bottles of 50g each) or from under tea;

2. a pirate letter (you can do this: write the text on a sheet of A4 in large block letters with a wax pencil (H: orange), and make a background with brown paint on top with a cotton swab (the paint does not fall on the pencil and the letters are clearly visible), cut off the edges of the letter and lightly crumple);

3. 6 small light opaque bottles with lids;

4. water gun + water bucket for refilling;

5. cigar capsule and cigar tin box;

6. pieces 7 boards;

7. 3 scoops;

8. net for catching butterflies;

9. towel;

10. glue sticks and cardboard A4;

11. card cut into 4 pieces;

12. 4 leaflets with tips;

13. 3 jars of tea or puree;

14. chest with 60 chocolate coins.
