The debut of London Fashion Week will also be for Alexa Chung - a journalist, blogger and fashionista will first show her own brand collection on the catwalk on September 15th. Chang launched the clothing line of the same name in May last year, managed to present it in Moscow and will now conquer London Fashion Week. It was difficult to trace a single leitmotif - it seems that the designer was inspired by the collective image of the discharged and multinational New York crowd, which is familiar to everyone who has ever been there, and even more so lives. Models opened the show in bright baggy suits and cardigans that looked like they were off the shoulder of a man, which somehow blended harmoniously with exotic turbans. The attention of the public was focused on the newcomers to the schedule - Raf Simons (although he can hardly be called a newcomer) and Oliver Shane
as part of Helmut Lang, who this season have shown themselves to be innovators, able to create trends, and not follow them, unlike many young and not very designers this season.
Judging by the collections shown in New York, the main trends of the coming season will be clothes with deliberately American motifs, clothes made of transparent fabrics, midi length skirts and others.

J.W. Anderson
Everyone is used to seeing the avant-garde in the work of Jonathan Anderson, the numerous cultural references and the neglect of the concept of gender - take at least the men's collection show, for which he dressed the guys in frilly skirts. Now the designer is increasingly turning to simplicity, explaining this by the desire to "return to the man himself." The spring-summer women's collection was a direct continuation of this idea - the designer was inspired by prehistoric times, when there were no clothes as such.
Christopher Kane
The designer built his collection on the paradoxes of "private - public" and "housewives - BDSM". Starting with pretty homemade ruffles and ending with tailoring as a reference to serious brothel guests, the collection from image to image acquired an increasingly frank and sexy character. An oxymoron cloak made of black glossy leather in the spirit of BDSM with a white ruffle collar became an irony for prim housewives and their not quite prim thoughts, and transparent dresses with frills parodied negligees.
Burberry
Christopher Bailey seems to have decided to seriously take on the rethinking of the brand in the direction of commercial success. Firstly, Bailey added curation to his main work: the designer presented a retrospective exhibition of 20th-century photography, and also invited Gosha Rubchinsky to shoot several bows from the collection, and these pictures were also included in the exhibition. The collection itself has become a mix of British cultural codes - chavs and aristocracy.

The theme of ancient paganism and the worship of idols was traced both in clothes and in accessories that resembled amulets; among them were not only beads and pearls, but also horns. And models in floor-length dresses, with boleros and hoods looked like priestesses. At the same time, the collection itself has become more of an ode to the kitsch of the 70s. It was symbolized by tousled hairstyles from the movie "Hairspray", wide-brimmed hats, satin and velvet kitsch jackets as if from the shoulder of the Rolling Stones. And Elton John became the main character of the collection, as evidenced by shiny bodysuits, shining overalls and geometric glasses in rhinestones.
Prada
Miuccia Prada has already made it clear what side she takes on feminism - in the last collection, the designer invited women to resist the darkness with the help of kitsch and glamour, and this season she decided to take an even tougher stance. Tayloring, tomboy style and rave became the main ingredients in the riot girl look through the prism of Prada. T-shirt prints adorned the drawings of artists of the 30s and 60s, they also appeared on the scenery of the show.
Versace
Donatella Versace made the spring-summer 2018 collection a tribute to the life and work of her brother. For the first time, the designer returned to the catwalk iconic items from the collections of Gianni Versace, which were released from 1991 to 1995: among them Vogue, Warhol, Animalia, Native Americans, Tresor de la Mer and others. The show was closed, as in the 90s, by supermodels Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen.

Fashion Week in Milan this season was remembered for personnel changes and memorable shows. Roberto Cavalli's new creative director Paul Surridge showed his first collection, while Lucy and Luke Mayer made their debut at Jil Sander.
