Collections of famous fashion designers. The most famous fashion designers in the world. Evening and wedding dresses Gaultier

The noble dark turquoise color, called the Bay of Biscay shade, is also returning to fashion.

It is the overflows and the combination of green and blue that make it ideal for the autumn-winter period. Well, one more shade that attracts attention this year is “dusted orange”, which with its tenderness cheers up, warms in the cold season, and even brings smiles on the faces of other people.

However, you should not dwell only on the shades already described. You can pay attention to such a shade as "rose quartz", which will be perfectly combined with "Bay of Biscay" and "exquisite marsala".

It should also be noted "peach echo", dipping into the world of tenderness and sensuality. But the shade "calm", reminiscent of a cloudless sky, will give its weightlessness and airiness to each item of clothing made in this color. “Buttercup”, or bright yellow, shade will give a colorful mood and a charge of vivacity, but “deep blue”, on the contrary, will drag you into the world of mysticism and mysteries.

The lilac-gray shade, ideal for dresses and skirts of various cuts, does not give up its positions in the new season.

It is he who will add romance and lightness to any image, even seemingly bulky. But the name “fiesta” absolutely does not correspond to what we are hiding under it - muted red with bright transitions is unlikely to create a calm atmosphere, but it will fill it with ardor and positive.

What is a fashion collection? What distinguishes a ready-to-wear collection from a haute couture collection? Where to find an idea for creating a collection, what role does color play in it, and what will happen to the collection after the show? These questions are answered by Alina Aidarkina, a former participant in the competitions of young fashion designers, and now a specialist in creating exclusive collections.

What distinguishes a private tailor from a young fashion designer? Both of them work with clients, give advice on style, help to choose a style and accessories, create patterns and sew a product... But only a clothing designer, unlike a dressmaker, creates not just products for a customer, he thinks in collections! At young design competitions, it is often necessary to present just one piece, which, nevertheless, will serve as a complete expression of the concept of the collection. With good luck, a young designer will have the opportunity to demonstrate his design idea on the catwalk of one of the Fashion Weeks and reach a new level - to create his own design studio, get a job as a designer in one of the famous Fashion Houses or become a fashion designer for one of the industrial clothing brands.

With a request to tell about the different moments of the creation of collections, we turned to Alina Aidarkina, a former participant in the competitions of young fashion designers, and now she is engaged in both the development of patterns for mass production and the creation of exclusive collections for modeling agencies and salons in Ulyanovsk.

Alina was previously engaged in individual tailoring, worked as a designer at a research and production enterprise and a fashion designer in a wedding salon, has extensive experience in designing and modeling clothes (ski suits of complex design, tracksuits, outerwear, casual women's clothing, evening and wedding dresses) .

Now, after a short digression, we return to the topic of this article and give the floor to Alina.

Creation of fashion collections

collection it is customary to name several models of clothing for various purposes (from 5-7 items of clothing for novice fashion designers to 60-80 models for famous couturiers), which are united by a certain idea, correspond to a certain theme, have a similar color scheme and are created for a specific season (spring-summer or autumn winter). There is a difference between an author's design collection and a collection of a certain fashion house or company, which can be created by several designers. Collections can be created for two main lines - haute couture and ready-to-wear.

Haute couture

The term "Haute Couture" (haute couture) literally translated from French means "high sewing". Nowadays, it is understood as the creation of clothes of the highest class and is usually translated as "high fashion".

The center of haute couture is Paris, home to the Chamber (Syndicate) of haute couture. She determines the status of fashion designers and organizes haute couture fashion shows (in January and July). To be classified as a Haute Couture House, one must meet a number of strict requirements: The House must have at least 15 employees and present collections twice a year (each fashion show has 35 dresses for the day and for the evening).

Haute couture dresses are made almost entirely by hand and only in one copy. Each model usually requires 100-400 hours of work. The suit or dress chosen at the fashion show is only a sample, and a new one is sewn for the client, ideally suited to the figure.

Ready-to-wear

Ready-to-wear models replicated for sale are called ready-to-wear clothing (from French pret-a-porter - ready to wear).

There are four groups of ready-made clothes:

  • luxury series (circulation 4-5 copies);
  • high quality series (circulation 100-200 pieces);
  • classic series - high quality products, but serial production (several hundred copies);
  • a category of large series that does not have standard restrictions, consumer goods.

Since its inception, the ready-to-wear industry has evolved from the production of low-grade, cheap products or semi-finished products to an extremely complex and diverse system of clothing production. Pret-a-porter has formed its own art schools, fashion centers, a circle of fashion designers and clients, as well as a fine gradation of quality and prices.

Use of elements of historical costume

When choosing a theme for a collection, the designer can refer to the classic forms and history of the costume. It is not necessary to try to repeat the elements of the costume. It is necessary to translate into reality the associations that arise when studying a topic, change the design of clothing, try to present your vision of the image taken as a basis.

For example, referring to the theme of Ancient Egypt, you can use elements of the Egyptian costume: a headband (klaft), a collar-necklace (uskh), a triangular-shaped apron (shenti), cone-shaped headdresses, a draped women's dress (kalaziris). At the same time, the lancet folds of pleating on the apron can resemble divergent rays of the sun, and women's clothing made of transparent fabric, enveloping the body to the very ankles, creates the effect of a body undressed and dressed at the same time.

Using Art Directions

Often fashion designers find ideas for new collections in other areas of art. The following areas had a strong influence on the development of high fashion at one time:

  • constructivism (promoting the design and technical side of a work of art);
  • cubism (an attempt to depict an object simultaneously from all sides, as a combination of geometric shapes);
  • surrealism (paradoxical, unexpected combination of seemingly incompatible, reflection of the stream of consciousness without control from the mind);
  • pop art (inclusion in the composition of real objects, photographs, reproductions and illustrations);
  • postmodernism (using previously created forms to build a new one, searching for new relationships between styles, borrowing and quoting);
  • op art (the use of various visual illusions, which are achieved by sharp color contrasts, intersections of meandering lines).

Using Color in a Collection

The selection of colors also plays an important role in creating a collection. For example, when choosing fabrics for the "Egyptian" collection, it should be borne in mind that the Egyptians used blue and red colors in their clothes, as well as dyed their hands orange, wore gold jewelry and used green cosmetics for their faces. Using all these paints, you need to consider the correct ratio of colors.

The color proportion can be like this:

  • base color - 60%,
  • additional - 30%,
  • accenting - 10%.

Contrasting colors enhance each other's saturation. For example, yellow is purple. There are two more pairs of additional colors: red - green, orange - blue.

The contrast can be softened if you take not pure colors, but their shades.

A color scheme

The use of close, related colors makes the image soft and calm. The use of colors in the triad (red - yellow - blue, orange - green - violet) requires a sense of proportion and proportional balance.

An achromatic combination (white, gray, black) always looks strict and concise. Black and white is a classic that does not require additions. Combinations of white and gray, several shades of gray, gray and black are ideal backgrounds for bright color accents. All other colors of the spectrum harmonize with achromatic colors.

In a suit designed in one color or in monochrome (non-contrasting) colors, a person looks more slender and taller. If the suit is divided into contrasting color spots, alternating light and dark stripes, then the figure will appear lower and denser.

composition center

It is very important that all the components of the image obey the main one - the compositional center. This is an accent, a dominant that attracts special attention with its mass, design or color. It is possible that there are several compositional centers interconnected by a single idea and a common style, but you can not overload the model, allow attention to be scattered when looking at it.

The center of the composition, located in the center of the figure, draws attention to the body - chest, waist, hips. The accent transferred to the lower part, to the legs, gives the image solidity and stability. If the compositional center is absent, then the image is "unreadable", seems blurry, unfinished or breaks up into separate fragments.

In the model given as an example, the emphasis is on the contrast of shapes (slim-fitting top - oval bottom) and colors (white - black). The compositional center also attracts with its mass and design.

Three rules of costume composition

The main principle of the composition is the consistency of the elements of the costume according to three rules: contrast, nuance, similarity.

Contrast- this is a pronounced opposition, opposition, which can be carried out in the form, color, volume, texture of the material. For example, the composition of a costume can be built on the contrast of shapes: acute-angled at the top and rounded at the bottom. Contrast is also possible in a combination of materials: a tight jacket and a thin, easily draped skirt.

Similarity- repetition in a suit of one element, which occurs in various variations. Let's say a decorative detail - a chain can be a handbag handle, a watch bracelet, a trim on the pockets of a jacket, or repeat a pattern on a neckerchief. Today, such a technique seems too correct, devoid of imagination and individuality.

Nuance is a kind of transition from contrast to similarity. It creates more interesting and picturesque connections between elements. A suit, the color scheme of which is built on nuances, a combination of shades and halftones, looks richer, more complex and more refined than the one decided in one color. This principle gives a lot of scope for personal creativity of the designer.

Creating an image

The same image can be created by completely different means. For example, to emphasize the fragility and youth of a girl, based on the principle of similarity, you can dress her in a light outfit made of thin fabric with a delicate pattern, open shoes with thin heels, add a small handbag and elegant jewelry.

And you can, following the path of contrast, offer this girl a larger military overalls, rough shoes with thick soles - and achieve an even greater effect.

The first option gives an understandable and specific image, the second - contradictory, ambiguous, associative. An unusual result can be obtained by using these principles simultaneously in the same model.

The embodiment of the image

When the idea of the collection is clear, the designer makes a series of sketches, where the main features of future models are outlined. As a rule, a great many sketches are created. Then there is a strict selection of draft sketches. Those of them that are destined to be embodied in products are refined, overgrown with finally verified details. Selected working sketches are sent to designers and technologists. The first ones turn an abstract sketch into a pattern. Technologists develop a tailoring strategy for each model, taking into account the specifics of the fabric, lining, threads and thousands of other little things. And only then the seamstresses begin to implement the model, and most of the work is done manually. For each dress, shoes, bags, jewelry and jewelry are selected or ordered from other companies. At the last stage, the couturier thinks over the style of hairstyles and makeup for fashion models.

The fate of the collections

The collections are always designed to sell, although some models are so fantastic that they almost certainly will not be bought. Not only extravagance, but also prices scare away: a haute couture dress costs several thousand dollars. Therefore, the main income for the creators of haute couture comes from the sale of their own perfumes, accessories and fashionable trifles with the brand name.

In addition, more adapted collections are made (also very expensive), which are sold in company stores. Each model is repeated in three to five copies and almost always from fabrics of different colors. There are few buyers of real haute couture clothes. Experts believe that there are no more than 2.5 thousand of them all over the world.

Actually, the fashion of the season is determined by ready-to-wear collections created by famous masters, dispersing all over the world.

Every fashionista who closely follows the latest fashion trends sooner or later wonders how clothing collections are created, and what influences their creation. Fashion collections are a group of wardrobe items that are united by a common idea, style, artistic solution, color combinations and are presented in one fashion show. Eminent couturiers create collections of 40-50 looks, while beginners most often limit themselves to creating 5-10 models.

All clothing collections created by fashion designers of various levels are divided into two main lines, namely haute couture and ready-to-wear. A designer can create a collection on his own, or he can use the help of other designers. Fashion houses have a chief couturier and several designers. They help him design collections for spring-summer and autumn-winter seasons. The main couturier is responsible for determining the overall artistic concept of the collection, as well as its idea and style.

Creating a new fashion collection for a designer is a creative process and precise calculation. Today, fashion is a very commercial direction, since in addition to clothes, various jewelry, accessories and perfumes must be sold in addition to it.

Starting work on a new collection, the designer first of all comes up with what its main concept will be. When the concept is defined, you can be sure that there will be a collection. Couturiers think big in terms of fashion shows and collections. Creating things, they simultaneously think about the individuality of things, and that they become mass and find recognition of fashionistas.

Anything can be an inspiration for a designer who wants to create a new fashion collection, because they are creative people! It can be a beautiful landscape, a table with an unusual finish, or dew on the grass in the early morning. Inspiration can catch a designer anywhere and anytime, so he always has a pencil and notebook at hand.

A classic example of the search for ideas is turning to old collections, since it is quite difficult to “invent your own wheel” in fashion, everything revolves in a circle: shapes, colors, styles, textures, silhouettes, etc.

When the concept is chosen, sketches are created, and the color solution is thoroughly weighed and thought out taking into account the basic laws of color, the discussion of the best options and their “decoration” with details and trifles begins. Further, the final sketches are sent to designers and cutters who prepare patterns, as well as to technologists who develop the technology for manufacturing (tailoring) future products, taking into account the texture of fabrics, the color of the threads used, the presence of a lining or its absence, etc. At the final stage, seamstresses are connected to the process. And that's it! the collection is ready and now it remains only to sell it and start creating new masterpieces.

What is a collection of clothes - every woman knows from the pages of fashion magazines. Stylish outfits, unusual jewelry, a beautiful hairstyle and fashionable make-up create together the image that the designer has conceived. What collections are and how they are created is described in this article.

What are collections

The word "collection" is of Latin origin and is translated as "collection". In the fashion industry, this word is understood as a series of models of clothes, shoes and accessories, which has a common idea (color palette, type of fabric, shape, type of cut and sewing) and was released by one person.

The main sign is the integrity of the models with a single style, image, color scheme and creative approach of the author. Another sign of the collection is the dynamics of the development of the idea. That is, different nuances should be demonstrated during the time, reflecting the development of the author's intention.

What is a collection, everyone is well aware of the television programs about fashion, which talk about the new developments of famous couturiers.

It may consist of accessories, or single items of the author. Well-known fashion designers and designers create collections that present both designer clothes and accessories.

Collection types

  1. Author's - this category includes author's works in which the designer expresses his own concept of clothing. These include ready-to-wear collections, etc. This group also includes unique collections designed to be displayed at exhibitions, presentations, competitions and international fairs.
  2. Industrial - designed for mass production. That is, industrial series of clothing, footwear or accessories are initially designed to be sold in huge quantities. They are shown at regional fashion fairs. As a rule, industrial collections are more restrained compared to the author's works, but at the same time, all fashion trends are present in them. What are industrial-type collections, every person knows from personal experience. They are presented every season at local fairs and various exhibitions of clothing and footwear.
  3. Promising - contain trends that will be relevant in the next season. As a rule, when developing a promising collection of clothes or accessories, designers take into account the economic situation in the country or region, changes in color preferences, fashion forecasts, and lifestyle trends for women.
  4. Special - this group includes collections designed for a specific event or occasion. For example, a collection of school uniforms designed for an individual educational institution, or a series of clothes for employees of a company / organization.

By purpose, all collections are divided into the following groups:

  • mass - designed for mass production and a wide range of customers;
  • group - created for a specific group of people (police uniform, kits for company employees, clothes for delegations and sports teams);
  • individual wardrobe - sewn to the client on an individual order.

How a new collection is created

During its creation, designers and fashion designers must take into account such important factors:

  1. Appointment - sports and sleep sets, evening dresses, etc.
  2. Seasonality - autumn-winter or spring-summer. Sometimes a new collection can only be developed for one season.
  3. Age category - clothing for babies, people or youth.
  4. Assortment - swimwear, outerwear, shoes, bags, hats.

What happens to the old collection

Each firm engaged in the production of clothing, footwear or accessories has situations when a seasonal product is not fully sold, and some stocks remain in stock. In this case, manufacturers act in two ways. So, the company can organize a sale, offering the buyer discounts and bonuses. This method is very popular and always brings good income to the organizer of the sale. In addition, this method of implementing outdated fashion items very often stimulates sales of a new collection. A shopper enters a store with a tempting offer to buy a stylish item at a low cost, and as a result buys an expensive novelty.

The second popular way to sell the remnants of the old collection is to sell to wholesalers at a significantly lower price. In this case, the old collection goes into the "stock" category. Stock clothing is sold in specialty stores.

Haute couture collections are unique author's images that will never go into mass production. Like an exclusive painting by an artist intended for an elite interior, such things are created to adorn the most successful and famous people, emphasizing not only the refined taste, but also the high status and financial viability of the owner.

Charles Frederick Worth was the first designer who declared that fashionable things should have not only practical, but also artistic value. It is to this couturier that the world owes the division of fashionable images by season and the appearance of the first collection of the couture segment.

Today, high fashion is in the spotlight and the most famous fashion houses consider it prestigious to present on the catwalks not only new ready-to-wear looks for the 2017-2018 season, but also exclusive haute couture collections.

It is about the 5 most striking collections of the season that will be discussed:

The couture collection of the Chanel fashion house is designed in the style of the great Coco. Restrained neutral shades of gray, elegant style with hints of English stiffness, laconic lines and stylish hats that complement the images - all this perfectly matches the concept of the fashion house and makes Chanel items recognizable and incredibly popular.

Karl Lagerfeld offers fashionistas in 2018:

  • bouffant skirts;
  • black cocktail dresses;
  • feminine sets with a classic jacket and a straight skirt;
  • puff sleeve coat.

Chanel puffy skirts

For a special occasion, a luxurious Chanel dress with a fluffy skirt would be an ideal choice. The sophistication and chic of the evening looks created by Karl Lagerfeld for the fashion house, as if emphasizes that the outfits were created specifically for the red carpet and the most iconic events.

Elegant black Chanel dresses

It has been 90 years since the great Coco introduced the little black dress into a woman's wardrobe. But, in the collection of every modern fashionista, you can find a universal black cocktail dress. Of course, in the couture collection, Chanel also offers several exclusive options worthy of becoming an adornment for a film star.

Classic kits

A single print on different elements of the wardrobe is the trend of 2018. Chanel offers to keep in the same style not only a jacket and a skirt or dress, but also to complement the image with a hat made of the same fabric and textile boots.

Elegant coats from Chanel

One of the most popular trends of 2018 is the visual extension of the shoulder line. This is the effect achieved in fashionable women's coats by Chanel. Combined with the accentuated narrow waist, the voluminous sleeves of the 2018 models look very impressive.

Fendi

As the creative director of the Chanel fashion house for many years, Karl Lagerfeld has collaborated with other brands as well. So, this season, the great couturier presented to the public another couture collection under the Fendi brand.

Images for Fendi are a floral extravaganza, striking the imagination with a riot of colors, as well as the complexity and magnificence of the decor. The collection offers the following trends in the new season:

  • plain translucent dresses with an openwork pattern;
  • bright floral print with voluminous decor;
  • luxurious fur;
  • stylish capes.

Fendi openwork dresses

The collection features incredibly luxurious models in delicate nude shades, classic white and black colors, as well as in deep burgundy, rich blue and pale blue tones. Each Fendi dress is the pinnacle of perfection! I propose to evaluate their magnificence in the photo and dream up which of the stars will choose luxurious bows from Fendi for publication.

Floral theme

Floral prints are incredibly popular this season and, despite the fact that winter is ahead, high fashion in 2018 suggests boldly choosing bright things, richly decorated with floral elements.

Fur in the images of Fendi

Natural fur is always popular, because an elegant mantle or an elegant fur coat has long become a kind of symbol of luxurious life for many.

Fashion capes

Having once appeared as a variation of the classic demi-season coat, the cape is rapidly gaining popularity, and fashion designers create new and new interpretations on the theme of capes. The collection of the fashion house Fendi presents unusual models in which openwork elements and expensive fur are intertwined, shiny fabrics and voluminous floral decor, classic and creative notes.

Christian Dior

The looks of 2018 from the brand are nostalgia for retro style. The collection is based on elegant dresses made of light airy fabrics, which the designer successfully complemented with stylish coats, elegant jackets and classic trible hats.

Fashion house Christian Dior sets such current trends:

  • fashionable pleated;
  • noble velvet;
  • transparent skirts;
  • an abundance of ruffles.

Pleated skirts

In the coming season, pleated and corrugated maxi length skirts are again relevant. Such models from translucent fabrics, as well as multilayer options, look especially stylish.

Velvet by Christian Dior

Models made of luxurious velvet in discreet shades look very elegant and sophisticated. The splendor of expensive fabric is emphasized by the original design solutions of the dresses.

Sheer skirts

For bold owners of beautiful figures, the designer offers to replenish the wardrobe of exclusive outfits with transparent dresses and skirts. It is worth noting that in 2018, high fashion does not recommend flaunting minimalist lingerie under transparent skirts. Pay attention to the photo. All the models took to the catwalk in high waisted shorts, which are really great for this look.

The abundance of small ruffles

In continuation of the retro style, Dior offers fashionistas unusual dresses with small ruffles.

Fans of extravagant looks will appreciate the creative winter overalls, patchwork coat and knit cape with tassels.

Jean Paul Gaultier

When creating a new haute couture collection, Jean Paul Gaultier was inspired by the exotic images of Indian women. That is why in the fashionable bows of 2017-2018, elements inherent in the traditional outfits of this amazing country are visible.

It is safe to say that the Gaultier collection has become one of the most spectacular and unusual in this fashion season, inviting fashionistas to introduce into their wardrobe:

  • exotic images in the ethnic style of India;
  • jackets, vests and jackets with extended shoulder line;
  • creative hats;
  • extravagant evening looks and wedding dresses.

The theme of magical India has found its embodiment in trendy monolooks and elegant models of dresses. At the Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture show fall-winter 2017-2018, the models seemed to have simply stepped out of modern Indian video.

Extended shoulder line

Narrow waist and wide shoulders are the trend of 2018. Gaultier has a wide range of exclusive models with a visually extended shoulder line:

  • downy cropped jackets;
  • stylish vests;
  • elegant jackets;
  • unusual raincoats;
  • elegant coats.

Jean Paul Gaultier hats

The designer assures that in addition to the knitted patterns that are relevant as always, large fur hats with earflaps will be popular in 2018, the extravagance of which can be assessed in the presented photo.

Evening and wedding dresses Gaultier

Gaultier evening looks are femininity and elegance in their purest form, effectively finished with creative notes and unusual design solutions.

Atelier Versace

The couture collection, presented in Paris by the fashion house, consists of only 19 looks designed in the brand's recognizable style. Exclusive bows proposed by the designer can be divided into the following areas:

  • neo-classic;
  • elegant tenderness;
  • alien chic.

The interpretation of the classic look in the Versace collection

In 2018, fashionistas will be able to purchase an exclusive Versace trouser suit made of expensive fabric with a floral print, as well as stylish white coats with an unusual cut of the sleeve, revealing the stylish pattern of high gloves.

Futuristic images from Versace

For lovers of spectacular extravagant bows, the Versace fashion house offers unusual dresses in the style of alien civilizations. It is worth noting that this theme promises to be very popular in 2018, since many couturiers turned to it when creating collections for the autumn-winter 2017-2018 season.

My girlish memory completely refuses to sort out the names of fashion house collections. Of course, I know everything, but when I am asked to explain in words what the meaning of the terms "Haute Couture", "Cruise" or "Pre-fall" is, my thoughts cannot be converted into articulate speech. So, it's probably time to defragment the data in your head.

About trends and tendencies

I want to start by answering a question that so many people ask: who comes up with trends? Where do they come from? Who dictates to us what we should wear this season? Before giving answers, I propose to figure out what is the difference between a trend and a trend, and there is one, despite the fact that most people combine these concepts into one.

  • The trend is the “peak of fashion”, the general fashion trend, which is a novelty and find of this season. First, a trend appears, then it is “checked” according to the criteria of convenience and wearability, if necessary it is transformed and develops into a trend.
  • The trend is the general direction of the season, which can be traced in the collections of different designers over several seasons.
  • What was once a trend will not necessarily become a trend.
  • If the trend continues for a long period of time (more than four seasons), it develops into a classic.

Popular

Previously, trends were born in the frameless collections of Haute Couture ("haute couture"), which for a long time were more art than clothing. Today, this function of haute couture is almost forgotten, and the Ready-to-Wear lines ("ready-to-wear") are responsible for it. Then the trend is adapted for the mass consumer, and the clothes go on sale in the mass market, where they will be presented in a large circulation and with a wide size range.

Fashion mechanisms

It may seem to many that designers are sitting in their huge workshops and “from the bulldozer” draw the fruits of their boundless imagination, unite them with one common theme, and their apprentices, in turn, sew the resulting collections one after another, simply timing them to the coming seasons. But in reality this is not entirely true. Even these creative people with an unlimited flow of ideas have a clear plan that they must adhere to on an ongoing basis. All these terrible and at first glance incomprehensible to the ear “bourgeois” names are just some kind of framework, a schedule that allows the world to see the creations of the fashion industry right on time.

haute couture

The concept of Haute Couture ("haute couture") hides the creation of high-class clothes - usually translated as "high fashion". The center of haute couture is still Paris, where the Chamber (Syndicate) of High Fashion Houses (Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture) is located - here, by the way, only women's “High Fashion” is dealt with, for the creators of menswear and Ready-to-Wear there are two other syndicates).

To become a Haute Couture house, you must meet a number of requirements. First of all, all production and central stores of the House must be located in Paris and fall under the jurisdiction of the French Department of Industry. Secondly, it is necessary to engage in the manufacture of clothing for individual orders - while using at least 70% of manual labor.

The number of haute couture houses varies but always remains around 20. The Haute Couture Syndicate includes brands such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Elie Saab, Giorgio Armani, Giambattista Valli, Valentino, Versace.

Haute couture clothing is distinguished by the fact that it is almost completely sewn by hand and in a single copy. Each model takes approximately 100 to 400 hours of work to make. The products chosen for the show are just samples, and a new product is sewn for the client, ideally suited to his figure. Therefore, the price of a haute couture dress is high - from 26 thousand to 100 thousand dollars, a suit - from 16 thousand dollars, and an evening dress - from 60 thousand dollars (however, these prices are very conditional and can vary indefinitely) . Haute Couture collections are showcased twice a year during haute couture weeks in Paris, usually just before the start of the season.

Pret-a-Porter or Ready-to-Wear

According to the Pret-a-Porter collection (aka Ready-to-Wear), we are with you and track the main trends of the season. These clothes are produced in larger quantities for mass sale in fashion boutiques and multi-brand stores. The expensive Haute Couture line sometimes maintains the name and reputation of the fashion house, while the Pret-a-Porter line brings it the main profit. These clothes are sewn according to standard size lines, but often they are in no way inferior in quality and complexity to couture products - it all depends on the complexity of the product.

The collections are also divided by seasons:
« SS», « spring-summer" - spring Summer.
« FW», « fall-winter"and sometimes just" fall" - autumn winter.
Seasonal collections are shown at fashion weeks in Milan, Paris, London, New York, Berlin and other world fashion capitals.

Capsule collection

A capsule collection is a small collection of a brand, sometimes in collaboration with a celebrity or guest designer, sometimes just for a specific reason (or even without). For example, the space "capsule" of Victoria Irbaieva (which she herself spoke about in the most detailed way). Often such collections are timed to coincide with the anniversary or significant event of the fashion house. Or an example from the mass market: "capusal" Chupa Chups x Tezenis. But if this is still a collaboration between two brands or a brand and a designer, then the collection is called a collaboration (callobaration) - for example, Balmain, Versace or Kenzo for H&M.

Pre-collection

Pre-collections (Pre-fall - pre-autumn, Pre-spring - pre-spring) - this is an easy
