Competitions at the New Year's party in elementary school. New Year's entertainment: games, contests, magic tricks. Competition "Soap Bubble"

The brightest impressions of the holiday, as a rule, are associated with games, fun entertainment, various funny “dressing rooms” and gifts. That is why everyone loves so much when there is an abundance of all this, when favorite fairy-tale characters play their favorite games, when they are showered with gifts, when they especially believe in miracles and a fairy tale, because everyone on this holiday can transform himself into a fairy tale hero: Baba Yaga, Bogatyr or Thumbelina.

We present our collection New Year's games for children's holidays, which can be held at a family holiday or a matinee arranged in a kindergarten or school. The organizer of these entertainments can be Santa Claus with the Snow Maiden, hosts of holidays or parents.

New Year's game "Magic Chairs"

For this game, the chairs are alternately seated left and right. Children are seated on them and they are explained to them that when Santa Claus comes up to any of them and touches him with a magic staff, he must stand up, take hold of Frost's waist and repeat all his movements.

So after a couple of minutes, Santa Claus forms a rather impressive “tail” of boys and girls. Following the "prankster" Frost, children squat, jump, waddle and make other funny gestures.

But then Grandfather in a thunderous voice notifies the children that now they must quickly return each to their place. And by the way, he himself is in a hurry to take one of the chairs, so while the kids figure out who was sitting where, one of them is no longer enough space. This child is out of the game. So that the kid is not upset, the Snow Maiden should give him a small sweet prize and explain that soon one more of his comrades will be left without a chair (the fact is that with each round one of them should quietly disappear from a row of chairs).

It is not at all necessary to bring the case to one winner, four or five rounds are enough. With those children who "survived", you can sing a funny song.

Game "Throw a snowball"

This little competition can be run by one of the fairy-tale characters or Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden themselves. To do this, they need an ordinary hoop for gymnastic exercises, entwined with Christmas tinsel. A mountain of snowballs made of “cotton wool” is placed nearby. It is better to divide the "snowballs" in half. From these two piles, children will be taken, who are also divided into two teams.

Their task is to take the "snowball" from the "snowdrift" and, stopping at a special mark, try to throw it inside the hoop. The winner is not the team whose members throw the snowball into the hoop faster, but the one that hits the most times.

Game for children's party "Find a New Year's gift"

No more than four kids can participate in this almost detective game at a time.

Previously, the organizers of the holiday must draw four "paths" on the floor with multi-colored chalk, which would intersect each other, twist in zigzags, run away in different directions, that is, they were very dangerous and difficult routes.

At the same time, each child is given a picture with an inscription and an image of the method of movement with which he must overcome his path: on all fours, single file, ten jumps on the left and ten jumps on the right leg, forward with his back.

Most importantly, all paths will lead to the Christmas tree, under which four gifts are hidden. It is better if one of them is bigger - this is for the child who will be the first to reach the finish line. The other three should be the same.

New Year's game "Gallery of portraits of Santa Claus"

The kids love to draw, and they will definitely be pleased with the option of some unusual way of drawing. For example, invite the children to portray Santa Claus with their left hand. Another option is to draw blindfolded. The third way to amuse the kids is to invite them to draw by holding a pencil or felt-tip pen in their teeth.

To make it interesting for all the kids to watch the process, turn five or six easels with sheets of paper fixed on them into the hall. Let the sheets be not just large, but huge. This will give the child the opportunity to express themselves brighter and more fully.

Surely, each of the kids present will want to draw in one way or another, so it makes sense to use the above techniques in turn. It is also important to turn on a new melody every time so that the children do not get tired of the monotony of sounds and do not lose interest in the process.

Naturally, the organizers will have to stock up for this game with a large number of interesting presentations, so that, in addition to creative satisfaction, each child will also receive material.

Competition "Breath of winter"

To hold this competition, you will need to stock up on large snowflakes cut out of paper - their participants in mini-competitions will blow them off the table.

There should be three to five players, preferably both boys and girls.

Competition rules: snowflakes lying on the table, as at the start, must be blown off the surface of the table. However, the winner is not the one who quickly removes his snowflake from the table, but the one whose snowflake is the last to fall on the floor. Thus, before the “start”, small players need to be hinted that the snowflake should float a little in the air.

As a prize, the child can be presented with mint candies or sweets that would be associated with the name of the competition, for example, “Aunty Vyuga” or “Metelitsa”.

Fun idea "Magic snowfall"

The host of this little fun idea should emphasize that the snowfall that they are about to arrange is called magical, because it will be created by the hands of the children themselves. So, having intrigued her little guests, the presenter invites each of them to take a ball of cotton wool in their hands, fluff it up, throw it into the air and start blowing on the cotton wool from below so that a light “snowflake” begins to float in the air.

Those kids win - and there should be several winners! - whose "snowflake" will be able to soar as long as possible or higher.

Snowflake harvest game

This game is suitable for very young children. It is better to use the Snowman in it, because it is this character that children associate with snow and fun at the same time.

So, explain to the kids that now they will be given magic baskets in which the snow does not melt. They need them in order to race to collect snowflakes. Beautiful snowflakes pre-cut out of paper are shown to the children by the Snowman. It is best to put them on a patterned tray.

Then, standing on a chair like a boy, the Snowman starts throwing snowflakes up. At this moment, the kids need to turn on a pleasant melody and invite them to dance under this lacy snowfall. And then offer to collect snowflakes in magic baskets. Give the children two minutes, no more. The winner is the baby who turns out to be more agile than the rest and picks up as many paper snowflakes as possible in his basket.

New Year's idea "Wonder Hat"

They play this fun idea by building a round dance. Santa Claus or Snow Maiden starts. He or she takes off some funny hat from his head and puts it on the head of a standing child.

Explain to the children in advance that they take turns placing this hat on their neighbor's head. This will continue until the music stops or Santa Claus hits his magic staff. And now the one on which of the children at this moment the miracle hat turns out - goes to the center and demonstrates any of his talents (he must sing a song, tell a poem, make a riddle, etc.).

Naturally, this child receives some kind of prize as a reward.

Entertainment "Talking alphabet"

As an intellectual warm-up, you can invite children to play the "Talking Alphabet". Its conditions: Santa Claus pronounces New Year's greetings, which begins with the first letter of the alphabet: "Ali Baba sends you warm congratulations!"

The second participant - already from among the children - comes up with his own speech, but only for the second letter of the alphabet - "B". for example, "Barmaley asked not to worry, he will not interfere with our meeting of the New Year!". and so on. Surely the children will be especially interested in receiving prizes for the same letter that fell to them for congratulations, it will be especially funny for those who get b, b, y, etc. Here, of course, the organizers will have to work hard.

Entertainment for the children's party "Funny Christmas tree"

It is most appropriate to arrange such entertainment on, since in this fun competition children will have to show good coordination of movements.

So, in the middle of the hall we put a small artificial Christmas tree. It comes with a box of jewelry. However, toys should only be plastic so that children do not injure themselves.

Three to four volunteers are called. They are blindfolded and in this state they are offered to decorate the Christmas tree. Santa Claus with the Snow Maiden or other fairy-tale characters of the matinee can serve toys. It is advisable not to look for losers in the competition and give chocolate medals or Christmas balls to each child.

As a variant of this competition, we can offer the following form: we don’t put a Christmas tree in the center of the hall, but after handing a plastic toy, we turn the children around its axis three times and offer to walk and hang the decoration on the first “Christmas tree” that comes across. The trick of the leaders should be to spin the child, still direct him to his comrades. Then, having reached one of the guys, the little participant will certainly hang the toy on his ear, nose or by a button. Which will certainly cause friendly children's laughter.

Mindfulness game "One, two, three!"

This game is about attentiveness and ingenuity. It will surely amuse children who are at least seven or eight years old: it uses numerals, so the child must be able to count.

Rules of the game: on a chair in the center of the circle formed by the players lies a prize decorated in a New Year's way. You can grab it only when you hear the numeral "three". But the leader will be deceived. He will try several times to say the word "three", but all the time he will add some ending. For example, "One, two, three ... eleven!", "One, two, three ... one hundred!", "One, two, three ... twenty!". And somewhere between these snags, he should pronounce the cherished word "three".

The prize will be given to the one who turns out to be the most attentive, it is also better to encourage the rest so as not to be upset.

New Year's game "Let's make a blizzard"

"Snow Job"

For this game, you can use a small ball or make a "snow" ball out of cotton. The participants of the game stand in a circle and pass the "snow" ball around. At the same time they say:

Snowball we all roll,
We all count to five.
One two three four five -
You sing a song!

Whoever has a "snowball" on the last phrase, he fulfills this wish. The last phrase can be changed: "And you read poetry!", "You dance to dance!", "Tell you a fairy tale!" and so on.

"Joke" with a beard ""

The contestants take turns telling jokes. If one of those present knows the continuation, a "beard" is attached to the narrator, which is replaced by a piece of cotton wool. The winner is the one who ends up with fewer pieces of cotton wool.

"Cooking Competition"

For a certain time (for example, 5 minutes), the participants in the game must make New Year's menus. All dishes in it must begin with the letter "H" (New Year). Dishes on the menu for Santa Claus should begin with the letter "M", and for the Snow Maiden - with the letter "C". Whoever has the largest menu wins.

"Now I'll sing!"

In the New Year, it is customary to sing songs and dance around the Christmas tree. But this activity can be varied. For example, on the clap of the presenter, everyone begins to sing the famous song "It's cold in the winter for a little Christmas tree ...". On the second clap, singing aloud stops, but all participants in the game continue to sing to themselves. On the third clap, everyone starts singing aloud again. The one who entered at random is out.

"Fairytale Character"

Cards are laid out on the table, on which the names of fairy-tale characters, cartoon characters are written (inscriptions down). The participant in the game pulls out any card and, having read what is written there, must use facial expressions, gestures, characteristic sounds to portray this character so that those present understand who they are talking about. The first person to guess draws the next card.

"Cinderella"

The game is played by two people. Each participant is blindfolded and offered to make out his own slide, in which peas, beans, lentils, dried mountain ash are mixed (ingredients can be changed, depending on what is in the house). Blindfolded participants sort the fruits into groups. The one who completes the task first wins.

"Mystery Prize"

A small gift (notebook, pen, etc.) is wrapped in paper, on which a piece of paper with a riddle is glued. Once again they are wrapped in paper - and the sheet with the riddle is glued again. There can be any number of such layers, it all depends on the number of players. The participant unfolds one layer of paper, reads the riddle to himself and says the answer aloud. Then he unfolds the next layer, reads the riddle to himself again and says the answer. If he doesn't know the answer, he reads the riddle aloud. The first person to guess this riddle unfolds the next layer of paper. The winner is the one who, having solved the last riddle, gets to the gift.

"Mobile phone"

The participants in the game call the numbers in order. Those who get the number 5 or multiples of it say "jin-jin". Those who get the number 7 and multiples of it say "ding-dilin". The one who makes a mistake is out of the game.

"Choose a prize!"

Various gifts wrapped in small bags are attached to a long rope. The participant of the game is blindfolded and given scissors. He must cut some gift, which he gets.

"Shoe for Cinderella"

Participants in the game put their shoes in a pile and blindfold themselves. The host shuffles shoes into a pile and gives the command: "Find your shoe!". Blindfolded contestants need to find their own pair of shoes and put them on. Whoever completes the task faster, wins.

"Hurry"

For this contest you will need sweet jelly or, for example, halva. The winner is the one who quickly eats the portion offered to him with a toothpick.

"Harvesters"

The participants of the game are divided into 2 teams. The task of each team is to move as many oranges or tangerines as possible to a certain place without the help of hands in a certain time (for example, 10 minutes).

"Guess"

A piece of paper with the name of some animal, object, etc. (for example, an elephant, a pen, a pear, an airplane) is attached to each participant in the game, but in such a way that the players do not know what they have written in their pieces of paper. But they can read what is written on the back of others. Participants in the game must ask each other leading questions to find out what is written on their backs. The answers can only be "yes" or "no". The first person to guess their "name" is the winner. The game is played until the last guesser. All receive consolation prizes.

"Sculptors"

This competition is best held outdoors. The host calls the letter, and the contestants must fashion any thing out of the snow that begins with this letter. Whoever blinds faster and more reliably - he won. At home, you can hold this competition using plasticine.

Focuses

Learn these simple tricks, and on New Year's Eve in the eyes of your guests, you will become an unsurpassed magician.

Thread on the jacket

You notice a white thread on your jacket and try to brush it off, but the thread remains on your jacket. Then you take it by the tip and pull. To your surprise (and the surprise of other people), it continues on. You pull further and further until a few meters of thread ends.

Focus secret: Before showing the trick, you put a small pencil in the inside pocket of your jacket, on which several meters of thread are wound from the spool. Using a needle, thread the tip of the thread through the fabric of the jacket to the outside. The main thing is that after demonstrating the trick, there are no traces left in your pocket if especially vigilant spectators decide to inspect your pockets. Therefore, the thread is wound on a pencil.

Three glasses and paper

Place two glass glasses on the table at some distance from each other. Place a piece of paper on top.

Pick up the third glass and invite the audience to place it between two glasses on a sheet of paper so that the paper does not bend. Nobody succeeds, of course. Then you demonstrate your "magical" abilities.

Focus secret: Fold a sheet of paper like an accordion along the long side, then it can easily support the weight of even a glass cup.

magic rope

You sit down in front of the audience at the table, show them the rope, put it on the table and say: "I will tie a knot on this rope without using my hands."

After that, cross your arms over your chest. Taking one end of the rope with your left hand and the other with your right, you spread your arms to the sides. There really is a knot on the rope!

Focus secret: There is no particular secret here. You just need to take a rope at least 1 meter long. And, of course, carefully rehearse the number in order to be able to grab both ends of the rope from the table.

Magic "Piglet"

You ask the audience for two coins in denominations of 1 and 5 rubles. Put a coin of 1 ruble on a small piece of paper, draw a mark around it with a pencil and then carefully cut out a hole equal in diameter to this coin of 1 ruble. After that, invite the audience to put a 5-ruble coin into this hole. Nobody knows how to do it. Then you can easily solve the proposed problem.

Focus secret: Of course, a 5-ruble coin will not fit into such a small hole. But if you fold a piece of paper in half so that the fold line passes through the center of the hole, then the hole will turn into a gap. Stretch the paper a little - the diameter of the hole is enough for a coin to easily slip through it.

Without getting your hands wet

Take a large flat plate, put a coin on it and pour a small amount of water so that it covers the coin. Then invite the audience to take the coin without getting their hands wet.

Focus secret: You set fire to a piece of paper and put it in a glass. Then quickly turn the glass over and place it on a plate near the coin. When the paper in the glass burns out and goes out, the water from the plate will collect under it, and the coin will be in a dry place.

Three layouts

Take any 21 cards and arrange them face up three cards in seven rows. You should have three vertical columns of seven cards each. Invite one of the spectators to remember any one card and say which column it is in. Carefully, one by one, place the cards of each column into piles, and then all the piles into one pile. In this case, a stack of cards from the column with the selected card must be placed in the middle between the other two. Then turn the stack face down, arrange the cards again into three columns of seven cards each, and again ask the spectator to indicate which column the chosen card is in. Fold the cards in columns and put the indicated column of cards back in the middle. And finally, for the third time, lay out the cards and again put the column with the selected card between the other two. Count out ten cards. The eleventh card comes out.

Focus secret: the main thing is to always put a column with a hidden card between the other two.

cunning trick

Take a deck of cards. Invite one of the spectators to choose and remember some card and put it on top of the deck without showing you. Then remove the deck and put its bottom part on top. Lay out the cards face up and accurately indicate the hidden card.

Focus secret: To find the hidden card, we apply a little trick. Before demonstrating the trick, remember the lowest card of the deck. Now, when laying out the deck, the hidden card will lie in front of the card that we spied on.

Guessed card

You invite four spectators to sit at the table with you. Deal five cards to everyone. After that, the spectators must memorize one card from those that are in their hands. You collect cards and lay them out on the table in five stacks. Spectators choose one of the stacks. You take the cards and fan them out to the audience. Then you ask which of them sees their card. After receiving the answer, you accurately indicate the card that they remembered.

Focus secret: You start collecting cards from the spectator who sits to your left and further - clockwise. Moreover, you collect all five cards at once, and not one at a time. You will collect your cards last, and they will be at the top of the deck. When you then lay out the cards in five stacks, in any of them the cards are in the order in which the audience sits at the table. If, for example, a third spectator recognizes "his" card, it will be the third one, counting the piles from above, etc.

Kings and Ladies

Kings and queens are selected from the deck. You lay them out in front of the audience in two rows - separately for kings and separately for ladies. Stack the cards by placing a stack of kings on top of a stack of queens. The resulting deck of eight cards can be removed by the audience any number of times. Then you hide the cards behind your back, take out two cards and show them to the audience. They see that it is a king and a queen of the same suit.

Focus secret: Initially, you stack the cards so that the sequence of suits in both decks is the same. Behind your back, you divide the deck into two of four cards each and take the top card from each mini-deck. It will always be a king and a queen of the same suit.

Conceived number

Invite one of the spectators to think of a number. After that, the viewer must multiply it by 2, then add 8, divide by 2 and subtract the number that he had in mind. After a meaningful pause, you announce that the resulting number is 4.

Focus secret: There is no secret, pure mathematics!

What fun New Year will do without competitions, relay races and other entertainment programs? These games will help you entertain your little guests and tell you what you need to cook for this. It will be more interesting if you prepare small souvenirs in advance for those who win. It can be some stationery: pencils, erasers, pens, balloons, notebooks.

Maybe something edible: sweets, waffles (in the package), lollipops, chewing gum, etc.

FUN RELAY

This is a very fun and moving game. It should not be taken immediately after a meal. For this relay race, two chairs (or stools), two ropes on pegs, two buckets, two balls will come in handy.

The participants are divided into two teams. At the command of the leader, the players must complete the following tasks: jump over the rope, run around the chair, throw the ball into the bucket (it is advisable to hit it). The team that completes all the listed actions faster and more accurately wins.

WHO WILL COLLECT THE MOST SNOWFLAKES?

To start this competition, you need to arrange a mini-competition for cutting paper "snowflakes". To do this, you need to distribute colored and (or) shiny paper to the children in a size suitable for the size of future "snowflakes", give scissors in their hands, and also ask them to turn on all their imagination and skill and make paper "snowflakes".

After these little works of art are ready, you can proceed, in fact, to the competition itself.

"Snowflakes" fall on the floor. At the command of the leader (this can be a bell, clapping, the words: “One, two, three, start!”), Children begin to collect “snowflakes”. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that they collect “snowflakes” not in handfuls, but individually. The game ends when the leader rings the bell again (or gives some other command). At the same time, all participants stop, and everyone who knows how to count counts his “trophy”. If the participant still does not know how to count, then the leader helps him in this difficult matter. The one with the most snowflakes wins.

ACCURATE SHOOTER

This competition develops accuracy and attentiveness in children. For him, you need to prepare “snowballs” in advance (3 “snowballs” per child) from a ball of cotton wool and wrap them in a shiny, multi-colored “rain”. But if you did not have time to prepare, then you can instruct the little craftsmen to do it. And as a prize, you can give them the very “snowballs” that they will make with their own hands. But before handing out "snowballs", arrange such a contest.

Divide the participants into two teams. Each player needs to distribute "snowballs". Children take turns throwing snowballs into a hoop or basket, which must be prepared in advance and placed on the floor. The team with the most snowballs in the hoop wins.

MEMORY OF THE SUMMER

This competition develops in children the speed of reaction and attentiveness. To hold it, you need to prepare multi-colored "daisies" in advance (according to the number of participants). Each petal of the future "chamomile" should be cut out of colored paper the size of a landscape sheet. It is also necessary to cut out a round center, suitable in size to the "chamomile".

Chamomile petals are laid out on the floor (mixed, colored side up). Participants stand near their "midpoints". At the command of the leader, they begin to collect daisies. The player who has his own daisy collected earlier and more correctly than all will win.

RIGHT SNOWMAN

To hold this competition, you must prepare large sheets of blank paper in advance. The size of the sheet will depend on the size of the snowman you want to see. You can take a sheet of A1 format (Whatman paper). The amount of paper and markers (or markers) will depend on the number of participants.

The players are blindfolded (a neckerchief or scarf is suitable for these purposes), they are given a felt-tip pen in their hands. Each participant begins to draw a snowman. The winner is the one whose drawing will turn out to be neater than everyone else (or more suitable for the image of a snowman).

This competition can be done as a team. Each team has three players. In this case, each participant will draw their own snowman circle. The team that does the best job will win.

BALL BASKETBALL

For this game, you will need to inflate two balloons in advance, prepare two baskets that would fit these balloons, and two rulers of 30-50 cm each.

The participants are divided into two teams. Each player must “bring” the ball with a ruler to the basket (by air) and lower it with the same ruler into the basket standing on the floor. In this case, the ball must not fall to the floor and must not be touched by any part of the body. The winner is the team that will bring the ball to the basket faster than the other (in turn) with the least errors. The game can end if the balloon bursts.

WHERE'S THE NOSE?

To make the game successful, you need to draw a snowman in advance on a large sheet of paper (you can use whatman paper) and attach it to some vertical surface (wall, door, closet, etc.). Make a nose for this snowman separately: take a sheet of paper, roll it up in the shape of a nose (“potato”, elongated) and wrap it with tape, but only with the sticky side up so that the nose sticks to any surface.

Participants line up one after another, dividing into two teams. The queue can be set by numbers that are drawn in advance. The leader blindfolds each player with a handkerchief or scarf, then turns the participant around its axis with the words: “It is spinning, spinning, everything will stick with us” and turns it to face the picture. The player must stick a nose to the snowman while blindfolded. For each well-aimed gluing of the nose, the participant receives a snowflake. The team with the most snowflakes wins.

CHRISTMAS PICTURES

This game develops children's attention. Both interesting and useful. It will require two identical pictures with drawings (Christmas trees, snowmen, snowflakes, sleds, skates).

The facilitator lays out the pictures on the table with the pictures down and shuffles them. Two participants take turns choosing two pictures. If the images match, then the player takes them for himself, if not, he puts them back. The game continues until there are no cards left on the table. The one who collects the most pictures wins.

BABKI-Ezhki

This is a mobile game. To carry it out, prepare in advance a broom (like janitors) or a broom, skittles (the number depends on the available distance). Participants must be divided into two teams. Each player runs on a broom (zigzag) between pins placed at a distance of 2-3 m from one another. In this game, the team that runs faster and knocks down fewer pins wins.

Dashing chauffeurs

In this game, toy cars (preferably trucks) will come in handy for you, on which you can install glasses (or small buckets) filled to the brim with water. The number of cars will depend on the number of participants. Numbers are attached to the participants on the chest.

To the cars you need to tie ropes of the same length (10-15 m). At the command of the leader, the participants must quickly wind the rope around the stick, pulling the machine towards them. If the water is splashing, the host calls out loud the number of the “chauffeur”, and he stops winding the rope for a second. The winner is the participant who pulled up the machine faster than the rest and did not spill the water. You can play without water, only the rope needs to be lengthened.

RACING ON BALLS

This is a very fun and noisy game. Before the game, you need to inflate the balloons very strongly. Each participant, as it were, sits on his own ball and begins to jump on it. The goal of the game is to jump on the ball as long as possible so that it does not burst.

The winner is the one who does not burst the balloon the longest.

FLIGHT ON SNOWFLAKES

For this outdoor game, we will need to cut out 4 paper "snowflakes" the size of the largest participant's shoes. "Snowflakes" can be made from ordinary white or colored paper, but it would be better if they were made from some kind of thick paper (for example, from whatman paper) or from thin cardboard.

All participants must be divided into two teams. At the signal of the facilitator, the participants must put one "snowflake" on the floor and step on it with both feet (without stepping on the free floor), then put another and step on it. So rearranging the "snowflakes", reach the chair. While the kids are “flying” from “snowflake” to “snowflake”, the presenter can comment on their “flight”. On the way back, the participants must run back. The team that arrives the fastest wins.

COCK-FIGHTS

This mobile game can be arranged both between two players and between two teams. Two participants stand opposite each other. At the command of the leader, the participants remove one hand behind their back and begin to jump on one leg. At the same time, they push each other with their free hand. The winner is the participant who lasts longer than the other on one leg (does not fall and does not stand on the second leg). If the game is played between teams, then each participant who wins is given a “snowflake” cut out of paper. The team with the most "snowflakes" will be considered the winner.

MISSING UNDER THE HOOD

For this game, you need to make a beautiful New Year's cap out of paper in advance, decorate it with tinsel, "rain", and paint it brightly.

One player is taken out of the room where the participants are located. The remaining players (or the leader) hide one participant under a bright blanket and cover it with a prepared cap on top. All other participants change places. When the leader leads, the player who left, the player must determine who is hidden under the cap.

CHRISTMAS FIGURINES

This competition develops the imagination and ingenuity of the little participants. The host distributes to each player a multi-colored, bright, plasticine that does not stick to their hands. Then he shows some letter (it is better to write the letters in advance on separate cards). Participants should make something New Year's (or winter) starting with this letter as soon as possible. It can be a sled, a snowman, a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, a hat, mittens, felt boots. The winner will be the one who molds the plasticine figure the fastest.

FOUND RING

For this game, a large ring is suitable (diameter about 20-25 cm). It can be made from wire or cut from some thick paper. And in order for it to be elegant, it should be wrapped with shiny paper, tinsel or “rain”. Participants sit on chairs in a circle. Each player is given a rope in their hands, the ends of which are previously tied, and a ring is threaded through this rope. The leader (one of the little guests) stands in the middle of this circle. He is blindfolded with a handkerchief or scarf. The leader's task is to find a ring on a string, while all participants move it in a circle or in different directions. When the ring is found, the leader should be changed.

FUNNY SLED

In this game, the participants must be divided into 2-3 equal teams. Each player is given paper “sleds” tied on a thread (the length of the thread can be 1–1.2 m), which must be cut in advance from the album sheet and decorated with 2–3 (depending on the number of teams) colors. Each participant fastens his end of the thread with the “sledge” on the back of the belt so that the “sleigh” freely touches the floor. If the participant cannot do this, the facilitator helps him. Each team has a different color sledge. At the signal of the leader, the players, running one after another, try to step on the "opponent's" "sleigh" with their foot. Participants are not allowed to touch the threads and "sledges" with their hands. The player whose "sledge" was torn off is out of the game. The team with the most sledges left wins.

IN CHASING THE ICUCLE

This competition will require two participants. But it can be carried out until all those present in pairs have played enough.

In the middle of the rope, you need to tie an "icicle". You can take it from old stocks of Christmas toys or, if you have imagination and skill, make it yourself from paper, cotton wool or something else and wrap it with multi-colored paper, tinsel or “rain”. A simple pencil, also beautifully designed, is attached to the ends of the rope. Each participant stands on their own side of the rope. His task is to wind his part of the rope around the pencil. The winner will be the one who reaches the "icicle" faster than the other.

JUMP INTO THE NEW YEAR

For this competition, all participants (if there are a very large number of participants, then they take half) line up in one line. At the command of the host, all participants "jump" into the New Year. The winner is the participant who jumped the furthest.

NAVIGATOR

This is just a fun game that does not require any skills from children. For this game, binoculars and a rope 5-6 m long (or such a length that it is comparable to the size of the room in which the competition is held) should be prepared in advance. You need to put a rope on the floor, and not in an even strip, but tortuously. The binoculars are given to the participant's hands, turning it over so that the objects are reduced. The participant, looking through binoculars, must go along the entire length of the rope, trying to get his feet on it more accurately. The winner will be the navigator who completes the entire course more accurately than other navigators.

Making an unforgettable holiday for children is not an easy task. But this article will help you with that. In her we have collected interesting competitions for the New Year for children. All of them are exclusively thematic and will easily fit into any New Year's scenario.

Note also that for the New Year, games for children can be team, pair and intended for the whole team. We have divided the types of these games for your convenience.

Children's New Year's competitions for two participants

Competition "Christmas bags"

Two children can take part in each round of this New Year's game. The host gives them each a bag decorated in the New Year's style and invites them to come to the table, on which there are two medium-sized cardboard boxes containing small, unbreakable Christmas toys, New Year's figurines and other items.

The facilitator blindfolds the children and offers to collect as many New Year's items in the bag as possible, observing one condition: participants can take from the box and put into the bag only one item at a time.

The competition is accompanied by musical accompaniment. After 30-45 seconds, the music stops, the children are uncovered and offered to look at the contents of the bags. The winner is the participant who has more New Year items in the bag.

Competition "Get to the tree"

There is a prize under the tree. The facilitator puts two participants at the same distance from him, but from different sides, and invites the team to race to jump to the prize on one leg. The most agile wins and receives a prize.

Competition "Snowflakes"

This competition, like some other New Year's competitions for children presented here, requires preliminary preparation. Between the chairs you need to pull a thread with New Year's tinsel. Paper snowflakes are hung on tinsel. The host blindfolds the two participants in the game and gives out small scissors. Players are brought to a stretched thread, the command is given to start. The task of each participant for a certain period of time is to cut as many snowflakes as possible.

It is possible to play without scissors, in which case the snowflakes should be easily removed from the tinsel.

Competition "Christmas tree with a surprise"

To prepare for this New Year's game, it will take a little more effort and time than in the previous version. It is necessary to make a Christmas tree layout from cardboard. Holes imitating Christmas balls are cut in it. On the reverse side of the layout, a bag is attached under each hole (but you can do without them).

The host gives the participants 5 small balls. The player's task is to get them into the cut holes. The one who hits the most times wins. He takes the main prize, which can be hidden for the time being on the branches of the main Christmas tree.

Competition "Who is the first?"

For this New Year's game, prepare two chairs and a couple of sets of winter clothes. A winter jacket turned inside out with sleeves is hung on each chair. A hat, scarf and gloves are placed on the seat. Two children take part in each round of the game. They take a position not far from the chairs and, at the command of the host, run towards them. They need to turn back and put on a winter jacket, gloves, a scarf and a hat. The winner is the one who gets dressed faster, sits on a chair and shouts “Happy New Year!”.

Competition "New Year's Castle"

The facilitator selects several who wish to participate in the competition. They receive a drawing of the New Year's castle of Santa Claus, which is given 30 seconds to memorize. After that, the participants are blindfolded and given a set of plastic cups. The task of the players is to collect an exact copy of the castle from the cups. The child who completes the task faster and more accurately wins.

Team games and competitions for the New Year for children

Competition "Where is the tree?"

The players are divided into two teams. Each chooses a captain. Then the teams line up in two lines parallel to each other. Team captains receive a set of three flags. On two of the set, a forest animal or a character from a fairy tale is drawn. And on the third is a Christmas tree.

At the command of the leader, the team captains begin to pass the flags along the chain back. The flag with the Christmas tree must be transmitted last. As soon as the extreme participant in the chain receives a flag with a painted spruce, he shouts: "Christmas tree!" and raises his hand up. The team that does it faster than their opponents wins.

Competition "Decorate the Christmas tree"

To play this game for the New Year for children, you need two small artificial Christmas trees and a couple of cardboard boxes with unbreakable Christmas toys. Christmas trees are placed at a distance of 2-4 meters from the boxes.

The facilitator divides the children into two equal teams. Each goes to their starting line, located by the toy box. At the command of the host, the participants in the game take turns decorating the Christmas tree. Each player can take only one toy at a time. The first team to empty their toy box and decorate the Christmas tree wins.

"Don't miss" contest

To play, you will need a small gate, in the amount of two pieces, and table tennis balls. The host divides the children into 2 equal teams. Each player receives one ball. The task of the participants is to roll the ball into the goal from a certain distance. Players perform their attempts in turn. The team whose players rolled the most balls wins.

Competition "Magic Scooter"

To play, you will need two children's scooters and small artificial Christmas trees. The facilitator divides the children into two equal teams. Each line up opposite its row of Christmas trees. At the command of the host, the first pair of participants on scooters goes around each of the Christmas trees in their row and returns back to pass the baton to the next one. The team that covers the distance the fastest and knocks down the least Christmas trees wins.

Competition "New Year's tinsel"

The game requires tinsel and a cheerful melody, for example, "Jingle bells". The host divides the children into two equal teams and gives each one a string of tinsel. The teams line up and, at the command of the leader, the first member in the team must tie the tinsel on the neighbor's hand. He, in turn, ties the next one. The last members of each team run to the first and tie the tinsel to them. The team that will raise their hands with tinsel tied to them faster than the competitors wins.

Remember that you can easily get hurt on some New Year's tinsel, and try to choose the safest version of the product. Conduct only such children's games for the New Year, which you are sure are safe.

Competition "Collect snowballs"

3-4 teams can participate in the game at the same time. In advance, you should prepare a lot of small white balloons (these will be snowballs) and large garbage bags. From the bags you need to make something like bloomers, cutting off the two lower corners so that the legs crawl into the holes.

Before the start of the competition, it is necessary to choose one participant from each team, they will need to crawl into the prepared bags, and the rest, at the command of the host, will have to fill their bag with balls. The team with the most snowballs in their bag wins.

Competition "New Year's bowling"

Decorate skittles or plastic bottles with tinsel - they will act as icicles growing out of the ground. The competition can be both team and individual. The task of each player from a given distance is to knock down as many skittle icicles as possible with a snowball.

Entertainment for the new year for all those gathered

Competition "What does the Christmas tree like?"

The host tells the guys that he has been preparing for this holiday for a whole year and has learned about everything that the tree loves. And now he asks the guys to test his knowledge. Children must either confirm (if they agree) his statements by saying "yes", or deny the facilitator's incorrect opinion by saying "no".

And Happy New Year...

Competitions for the New Year for children in the form of simple questions and answers are perceived with great interest by children of preschool and primary school age. Use them between dances or outdoor games, giving children the opportunity to relax a bit.

The following interesting competitions for children for the New Year will also help to relax and at the same time have fun.

Competition "Choosing a tree"

All children participate, they stand in a circle and hold hands, and Santa Claus is with them. He explains and shows the audience what Christmas trees are:

  • high - everyone in the circle, together with Grandfather, rises on their toes and pulls their hands up;
  • low - everyone squats and lowers their hands down;
  • wide - everyone is trying to expand the circle as much as possible;
  • narrow - the circle should be narrowed as much as possible.

Then Grandfather begins to walk around and "choose" the Christmas tree. “Oh, well, high!”, “And this one is too narrow!”. According to the parameters voiced by Grandfather, the children depict the Christmas tree that he saw. Frost himself is trying to bring them down, demonstrating the wrong movements.

Competition "New Year's cap"

The players form a circle. Cheerful New Year's music is turned on, and the children begin to pass the New Year's cap in a circle. The music stops intermittently. The participant, who had the cap in his hands during the stop of the music, puts it on his head and fulfills the wish of Santa Claus. Grandfather Frost may wish that they sing a song to him, tell a rhyme, guess a riddle or dance. Everyone who fulfills his wish receives a sweet prize.

Competition for the best New Year's costume

Young children love to dress up in carnival costumes and portray a variety of characters. The competition for the best New Year's costume for children should be notified in advance. There may be several nominations, but first everyone will have to "defend" their costume. This will make it possible to evaluate not only the originality of the outfit, but also the artistic abilities of the child, who, having entered the role, can portray habits, sing a song or read a monologue of his hero.

New Year's entertainment "Lucky number"

Everyone loves pleasant surprises, and children especially. Prepare small gifts in advance (there should be as many as there will be children at the holiday) and wrap them in multi-colored paper, then number them. Put them in Santa's bag or place them under the Christmas tree.

Cut out small tokens from cardboard according to the number of gifts in the form of Christmas balls or Christmas trees and also number them on the reverse side. Hang the tokens indoors in prominent places.

When it's time for gifts, invite each child to find one token for themselves. Now Santa Claus knows exactly who to give what gift to.

Human memory is so arranged that for the rest of our lives we remember only the brightest and most exciting events of our lives. And most of these events for each of us come from childhood. We hope that the children's competitions prepared by us for the New Year will help you create an original entertainment program that will become another bright and unforgettable event for children's memory.
