Let's analyze the second knitting with two threads at the same time, linking a small sample pattern according to the scheme. First, cast on the required number of loops + 2 edge loops with threads of both colors.

On the knitting needles we get twice the number of loops, where each typed loop consists of a dark and light thread, try to arrange the threads alternately. The first and last typed loop of two threads is edge. We knit the edge loops with a double thread in the first row with facial ones, in the next - with purl ones and so alternate. After the hem, the first loop is the loop of the front side, it is always knitted with the front side, the second loop is the loop of the reverse side, it is always knitted with the wrong side. Further, the alternation also continues.

Let us consider in more detail the method of knitting loops: Front loop: we place both threads on the index finger of the left hand and the first loop from the edge, the loop of the front side is purple, we knit the front one, grabbing the dark thread from the index finger, so the light thread remains behind the knitted loop.

The second loop (pink) is the reverse side loop. We place both threads in front of the knitting needle, as when knitting the wrong loop and knit a purl stitch, capturing with a knitting needle, only a light thread. Thus, the dark thread remains in front of the knitted loop.

After knitting several rows, we get a fabric of two layers of dark and light yarn, connected by edge loops. On the outside, the front surface, and on the inside, the pattern of the wrong side.
