Crafts insects from waste material and paper. What crafts can be made from waste material

Waste material gives a huge scope for creativity. To make something unique and unusual, you do not need to go to a craft store or to the forest for natural materials. It is enough to do a general cleaning.

In every home there is an egg container, an empty plastic or glass bottle, a juice or milk carton, a paper sleeve and much more. Craftsmen make handicrafts from waste material so skillfully that it is not difficult to guess what they are made of.

Autumn crafts

funny bees

The sweetest time is Autumn. For the manufacture of funny honey bees, drinking yogurt bottles are suitable. We paint the bee yellow and draw black stripes. Mica from the old bouquet will go to transparent wings. We also make our own eyes.

We take a blister from pills, for the eye we need one cell. We cut out a small circle from black cardboard - this will be the pupil. We cut out a circle from white cardboard along the diameter of the cell, insert the pupil and glue it with the cell. No one will distinguish such an eye from a needlework store bought in a needlework store.

Casket - apple

Autumn is famous for its fruits. Ordinary plastic bottles will make excellent apples - caskets. For one apple we take two bottles. Cut off the bottom at a height of about 7 cm. These are the parts we need. Red or yellow, choose an apple color and paint both blanks. To make the edge look more interesting, we glue lace or braid, but do not overdo it, the workpieces should overlap easily. It remains to glue a branch with a leaf. Do-it-yourself apple harvest is ready.

autumn garden

The brightest time of the year is autumn. Making a real autumn garden with your own hands is very simple, even a child can handle this task. We will need: a paper sleeve, a disposable cardboard plate, paints and scissors. The sleeve will be the trunk, we paint it brown. The plate is the basis of the future crown, boldly paint it in bright autumn colors on both sides. Now we make two parallel cuts in the trunk, and insert the crown. A wonderful autumn tree is ready.

If you take a closer look at some home-made gizmos, then you can be surprised to recognize in them objects that people thoughtlessly send to the trash can. Photos of crafts made from waste material prove that for leisure, developing activities with children and creating decorative elements, both a plastic cup and a piece of cotton wool will fit equally.

What can be set aside for a home workshop?

The question of what is junk material, and where to get it, is unlikely to arise before needlewomen and housewives.

The details of the future crafts can be paper and things made from it:

  • carton boxes,
  • milk bags,
  • napkins,
  • toilet paper rolls,
  • disposable tableware,
  • boxes with cells for eggs.

Do not throw away small bottles of drinking yogurt and plastic containers of various sizes. Scraps of tinsel, thread, shreds of fabric will come in handy in creativity.

If you are serious about creativity, stock up on a large box in which they will be stored for the time being:

  • plastic containers from Kinder Surprise
  • matchboxes
  • bottle caps of different colors and diameters
  • CDs
  • unpaired socks
  • clothespins.

Do not rush to throw away a broken mirror or a cracked ceramic plate. They will find application in the decor of useful gizmos.

What can be made from "nothing"?

There is no limit to human imagination, it generates more and more new ideas. Here are some crafts you can make from waste material:

  • toys for the development of toddlers and entertainment for older children,
  • souvenirs as a gift for any occasion (whether it's balls for a Christmas tree or a bouquet for March 8),
  • gizmos for home and life (organizers for storage, automatic watering for plants, caskets, flower pots),
  • decor items,
  • themed products for a competition in a kindergarten or school.

It remains only to bring to life ready-made beautiful ideas for crafts made from waste material, or come up with your own concept of a hand-made souvenir.

We play, we learn, we grow

Many workshops on crafts from waste materials are devoted to creating toys for children. Here are some of them:

Hanging module

Compact discs are perfect for a mobile toy - a carousel. They can be attached with adhesive tape to threads - eyelets, and then tied to thin twigs of different levels. The joints are hidden behind the appliqué, ribbon bows or a large half-bead.

The discs are made multi-colored or decorated in the form of flowers, balls, rattles or cartoon characters, for example, Smeshariki. To do this, the elements of the hairstyle, arms, legs and face are cut out of colored paper with an adhesive layer.

TV

A large box easily turns into a TV mockup. It will be interesting for kids to watch a TV fairy tale with mom or dad as storytellers. And grown-up children themselves can put on puppet shows or try themselves as TV presenters.

If you take a small box, make a slit on top and prepare thematic pictures cut out from magazines, then such a TV will be indispensable in a doll house. "Switch programs", changing pictures, the child can easily himself.

Aquarium

Children often ask to have pets, but this is not always possible. Try to make an aquarium out of a large box. With indents along the edges along the perimeter, the front wall is cut out.

Inside the aquarium is pasted over with blue paper. At the bottom, you can pour sand or small pebbles. Plants are cut out of paper. Fish are bought or made from cardboard, and then painted.

The inhabitants of the aquarium can be fixed on threads and hung from the top wall. You will get a three-dimensional layout that will take its rightful place on the shelf.

Mask

Home theater needs costumes. Have the young actors make simple animal masks out of paper plates. They need to be cut so that the mouth, nose and chin of the child remain open. Then slits are made for the eyes. On the top of the workpiece, the ears of the animal whose mask is planned to be made are glued.

Can be done:

  • mouse
  • bear
  • hare
  • tiger

Holes are pierced on the side of the plate, into which an elastic band is inserted. It remains to add colors, and you can transform for the role.

Socks that have lost their pair turn into small soft toys. You don't need to make complicated shapes. A rectangular blank is easiest to turn into any animal by adding the appropriate ears and tail. The eyes and nose are beads.

It remains to tie the workpiece with a cord or ribbon, forming the head and body. You can fill the sock with finely chopped foam rubber, cotton wool. If you use buckwheat, rice or beans, you get an anti-stress toy.

Home, sweet home

Decorating your own home is a natural aspiration of any homeowner. Here are some DIY DIY instructions to make life easier and update your decor:

Mirror in a beautiful frame

For the first option, you will need: an oval-shaped mirror, a sheet of thin plywood or chipboard larger than a mirror, round soda lids of the same diameter (metal or plastic), liquid nails or strong glue, spray paint.

The mirror is glued onto a sheet of plywood, which must first be given the correct oval shape. Then around the reflective surface you need to glue the covers close to each other. Then the mirror is closed with masking tape, and the covers are painted from a spray can. The original frame is ready.

The second frame option is suitable for a small table mirror. As a basis, you can take a flat photo frame. A rectangular mirror is attached to the center, which is pasted over, like a mosaic, with pieces from broken ceramic dishes.

wall decor

Paper plates turn into a flock of colorful fish or your favorite emoji. The required number of blanks is pre-tinted with paint of the same color, and then the details are completed with felt-tip pens.

The fish are attached with a tail and fins from scraps of plates. For a change, among round waterfowl, you can “settle” their counterparts with a cut out (in the manner of a piece of pie) sector. So the fish will get a smile.

original veil

To highlight a work area or a place to relax, you can assemble an air curtain from strings of beads and various unnecessary items at the ends. Small keys, feathers, flowers made from plastic bottles or bells look good.

Organizers

To store office supplies and other necessary little things, you need a lot of coasters, organizers and boxes. The simplest solution is a glass jar decorated with coffee beans and coarse twine.

Empty shampoo bottles are cut to various heights and collected in a single group so that all pencils and felt-tip pens are stored in order.

They can be stylized as Minions (painted with yellow paint, face painted, blue jumpsuits) or pasted over with buttons, pieces of fabric or bright wrapping paper.

bulk apple

Try to make bright apples from two bottoms from plastic bottles of the same diameter. Cut the blanks evenly, connect them together with a strip of masking tape (it has an adhesive base, and its front side can be painted over).

A puncture is made in the upper part with an awl, where the stalk is inserted - an ordinary twig will do. Now the apple can be painted, and the junction of the halves can be decorated with a ribbon in the color of the fruit.

autumn waltz

In schools and kindergartens, competitions dedicated to the gifts of autumn are not uncommon. Make a beautiful garden with your child. You will need toilet paper sleeves - paint them brown and make two shallow symmetrical cuts on both sides.

We plant small pieces of crumpled napkins on PVA glue over the entire area of paper plates. When the workpiece dries, we paint it with a mixture of orange, yellow and red paint - these are the crowns of trees. They are inserted into the slots on the bushings, and our garden is ready.

Christmas mood

From waste material, you can assemble a candlestick that will decorate the New Year's table. It is better to do it in a single color scheme. We will need:

  • base (metal lid for twisting cans, CD);
  • a cap from perfume or glue - a cylindrical pencil (we wrap it with twine);
  • decorative elements - small cones, small Christmas balls, scraps of beads, spruce branches.

The cap is glued to the center of the composition. Around him in an artistic mess are balls, twigs, cones. The composition can be spray-painted or sprinkled with artificial snow. It remains to light a candle.

A simple Christmas tree is obtained from a paper cone hoisted onto a disposable cup. It is worth adding a few beads and scraps of tinsel, as the green beauty will be transformed.

Small snow-covered houses will also support the New Year theme. The cone needs to be made wide and shallow - it will become a roof, and the same paper cup turned upside down will turn into walls. Windows and doors are drawn in watercolor, and pieces of cotton wool planted on PVA simulate snow on the roof and near the house.

Waste material can become anything: from a favorite toy to a funny trinket, which you don’t mind parting with when you get tired of it. A big plus of unnecessary things is that they can no longer be spoiled, so children can endlessly hone their skills, fine motor skills and imaginative thinking on them.

Nowadays, people do not think at all about the well-being of our common home - the planet Earth. Everywhere you can see unrecycled plastic bottles, paper bags, shoe boxes, egg containers and many other wastes. All this is called waste material. However, if you make an effort and imagination, you can use such material wisely, while not littering the planet, but on the contrary, decorating it!

Products made from this material have recently become very popular. Such crafts can be done together with the child, while developing fine motor skills in him, instilling respect for nature and developing creative thinking. Parents should teach their children not to throw some unnecessary materials into the street, but to create beautiful things from them.

Waste material is in any home, so products from it are not at all expensive. Do not rush to throw away used plastic bottles and jars - with the use of imagination, they will last you a very long time.

99 photos of ideas for crafts from waste material

My dear friends, hello! Invariably, your Tatyana Sukhikh welcomes you to the pages of her pedagogical blog. Autumn has come, and with it - the desire to climb under the blanket and drink a cup of tea. But we drive away such lazy intentions from ourselves, but rather we will do crafts with you with our own hands from waste material - and the melancholy will immediately go away. When hands and head are busy with creativity, other thoughts scatter, believe me.

Have you noticed such a feature in yourself - to store incomprehensible, but cute little things such as caps, corks, bottles, strings and similar rubbish? If so, then you will definitely find in this article an idea on how to turn something unnecessary into a cute craft or even a more serious household item. I decided to break the text into subheadings according to the type of rubbish that is most often collected in our homes.

I’ll give you advice right away: to connect the parts together, the best tool is a hot glue gun. If you buy household, for creativity, then it will turn out inexpensively, and on the farm it will come in handy for different situations.

Another point: be sure to call the children for joint creativity. The value of your general activities for development, emotional well-being, psychological health is priceless. Time spent with children is more precious than any good toy. And by the way, self-made amusements often become favorite among children for a long time.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the authors of the photos of amazing crafts that delighted me so much that I had to “steal” the ideas. But for this we expose the products of our creativity or other professional developments to a wide network so that everyone can use it, right?

Ideas for transforming plastic containers

Not to say that mountains are piled up with plastic bottles, but we often leave it so that there is something to pour into, right? What can be useful from them? To be honest, I don't particularly like plastic compositions in the flowerbeds of our cities, it's somehow primitive. But there are gizmos that will satisfy the artistic needs of almost everyone. I will pay special attention to crafts that will be useful and interesting for children.

So, plastic masterpieces:

  • Magic dragon: here you need to show imagination and stock up on a large number of different containers and lids from them. The dragon consists of several cut transparent bottles inserted into each other and fastened with twine. The head and tail are held on the ends of the twine, this is necessary so that the body wriggles, but the details do not fall off. As you can see in the photo, the head and tail are made of opaque containers, but this is a matter of fantasy.

Inside the bottles we place any "waste" of different colors.

If you want, for the development of motor skills, you can provide for the possibility of “feeding” the dragon with small objects, for this you need to fasten the cut bottles in such a way that the neck extreme to the head is in the “mouth” of the dragon.

Or you can make such a simpler fish:

  • Charming inhabitants of a home zoo from opaque containers: it’s just a miracle what a fantasy people have to see animals in containers from under home “chemistry”. Just a few additional details, a couple of strokes - and we have an outlandish bird or an unearthly creature in front of us.

  • I was so inspired by the next idea that I immediately go looking for a tool! A vase for fruit or anything else is an artistic thing, you see.

How to make this miracle? We take a large 5-liter eggplant, cut off the top with a neck. Holding the bottom and slowly rotating around the axis above the candle, we achieve the melting of the edge of the bottle. We give an artistic form to the future vase, it would be nice to bend the edges of the bottle inward, which, even when melted, can be very sharp. Then, with a hot knitting needle or a burning tool, we make many holes in the workpiece.

  • Caskets from the bottoms: in my opinion, also an extremely unbanal craft. Cut off the bottoms of the bottles. For each box you need 2 blanks. Along the circumference of the bottom, we select a lock-snake, glue it first to one half of the box, then to the other.

What else is lying underfoot: we make beauty from natural materials

Somehow I got carried away with plastic, but for kindergarten children there is nothing better in manual creativity than natural materials. Now - expanse for this occupation, so many wonderful "exhibits" right under your feet. By the way, on this topic, I suggest that you familiarize yourself with the methodological literature:

  • "Crafts from natural materials: applique from burlap and birch bark, crafts from wasteland herbs"– an excellent book on how to create paintings without a sketch from living, warm material;
  • "Master Samodelkin. Crafts from cones and acorns: 8 colorful model cards with guidelines "- instructions are clearly and clearly given on how to make a fish step by step, New Year's toys - a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, a garland, etc .;
  • “Crafts from natural materials. Notebook for children 5-9 years old»- also a kind of instruction in pictures for joint creative activities with adults.

So, what unusual, non-trivial can be made from twigs, fruits, herbs growing around us:

  • Unlike plastic in the interior, which I don’t really like, I adore things made from natural materials. And here's what's interesting, not everyone can see in a twig or leaf found on the site, a future masterpiece. Praise to those who can see it! That's how I could "pass by" such a highly artistic napkin holder? Here, of course, one glue gun is not enough.

I think you need to drill holes in the base according to the diameter of the branches, pre-cleaned with sandpaper and covered with stain. Then you can put them on the glue. Beauty is impossible, but requires caution: the branches are thin and brittle.

  • With the kids, be sure to make a set of dishes from acorn caps, because there is nothing complicated: plasticine and caps. Great attribute for role-playing games!
  • It happens that at school they asked the child to do crafts for the autumn holiday, and he remembered this at 11 pm the day before? Look, I found a clever solution, but I need the appropriate products: let's make a cauliflower lamb! As you can see in the photo, you need to cut off the lush inflorescence so that it stands steadily. Muzzle of champignon - just a charm!

A couple more ideas for nature lovers...

  • I got so carried away looking for unusual ideas for crafts that I found a real work of art: compositions from old wood. You can’t do without a saw, of course, but the effort spent is worth it. I don't know about you, but I'm just fascinated by this wooden miniature. And, most importantly, the material is really junk! Please note: "trees" of walnut and peach pit, probably.

  • You imagine, of course, what value fantasy and manual labor have for the development of children. Use everything you find in the forest, garden, just in the yard. See what the pieces of twigs turn into! By the way, doing such miracles is not so difficult: for candlesticks or vases we take the base - unnecessary glass glasses, jars, and artistically paste over them with fragments of twigs.

And we do the ball like this: we glue the inflatable ball with twigs, but we try not to stick them to the ball. The glue has frozen - we blow off the ball, take it out, a hollow sphere of pieces of wood remains.

From the bark, leaves, pebbles, nuts, twine and other amazing dolls are obtained, if you show imagination. By the way, children, as they say, for one, two, three, get masterpieces, if you release their imagination and do not interfere with the creative impulse.

Unnecessary paper is also used!

I don’t know how it happened, but in articles on the development of fine motor skills, I seem to have forgotten to talk about a wonderful activity that strengthens children’s fingers - making crafts from crumpled paper. Such crafts are good because you can crumple everything: newspapers, colored paper, corrugated, toilet, napkins ... The technology is simple: if the material is soft and thin, like corrugated paper, napkins, then we make pictures, bas-reliefs from many small lumps. Thicker paper will be used to make three-dimensional figures from 1-2 large and small parts. You can simply wrinkle the paper, then smooth it with your hands and cut out the details of the picture.

To more deeply understand the essence of this method of making crafts, I advise you to read the book "Crumpled Paper Crafts"- an interesting technology for making volumetric products from crumpled paper will allow you to develop your fingers and creativity.

From my own experience, I will say that creativity from a crumpled piece of paper is more like the younger and middle groups of the kindergarten. Older children are already more striving for the ideal, and it seems to them that crumpled paper looks sloppy ... Although if you make such flowers, then to whom will they seem sloppy?

Crafts from everything!

I don’t know if I can stop, I found so many great ideas! It's time to organize a master class for colleagues or parents. Here, for example, it is quite easy to sew a kitten out of work gloves, with just a few stitches. On long winter evenings, you will have something to do with the kids, right?

A separate article needs to be written about crafts made from caps from plastic bottles and corks from wine bottles.

Cork is a fertile material, it is already a ready-made basis for crafts. It is easy to work with it, it is glued with PVA glue, you can simply stick the parts into the cork, you can paint with gouache, cut. How many craftsmen make things for everyday life! From Christmas decorations to furniture!

Bottle caps should not be thrown away either - they are a great tool for creating attributes for the development of fine motor skills and sensory sensations. I wrote more than one article about this, I will not repeat it.

The simplest thing is to arrange the caps in the form of muzzles of different living creatures. Eyes are sold in craft stores, a glue gun will firmly fix the rest of the details.

And for the benefit of the whole family, I advise you to make a sensory rug that will heal the whole body during hygiene procedures in the bathroom. You need to stick the caps on the rubber mat. Voila!

From plastic eggs from under the "kinders" interesting toys are also obtained. For example, if you paste over them with decor for Easter eggs, we get New Year's toys, garlands, beads.

What can we say about chickens, minions, pigs and other “living creatures” - “kinders” serve as an excellent basis for creative searches! They can be pasted over with paper, here - with cotton wool to get such wonderful bunnies. Craftswomen tie them with crochet threads and create a different feast for the eyes!

And from the onset of the flu-prone period, be sure to make a prophylactic pendant for your child in the kindergarten: put peeled and slightly crushed garlic inside the testicle, hang the testicle on a ribbon and around the child’s neck. Garlic esters will disperse viruses around the baby.

How about a baby massager? A simple but useful device that will allow kids to knead the back, shoulders, neck. I am sure that it is not difficult to make it, the main thing is to understand how to weave twine and “kinder” together.

And in the end I will tell…

Did I manage to ignite your inspiration? I hope so. I would also like to hear from you ideas for creativity that stunned you. I’ll stop for now, but not for long, I need to work and develop. I am waiting for new subscribers in our company, and also please like my article.
