How to use acrylic paints for painting on different surfaces. Choosing and using acrylic nail paints

Mankind has been engaged in dyeing fabrics since ancient times. The simplest way was to leave the material overnight in a vat with boiled leaves or rhizomes of various plants. The resulting muddy yellows and browns were called the colors of the poor because of their affordability.

Rich and noble people preferred bright colors in outfits and interiors. So, rare purple was universally considered the prerogative of royal dynasties.

Fabric dyeing is used in various industries:

  • furniture industry. The unique upholstery of a sofa or chairs is often the pride of the owners.
  • in the fashion industry. Every year, fashion designers show us fashionable colors of the new season from the catwalks.
  • Creation of interior items. Various panels, tablecloths, paintings, curtains bring their own flavor to the design of the room.

At home, often faded or worn things are given a new life with the help of paints. Needlewomen use various pigments to paint decorative napkins and clothing accessories.

Types of dyes

Gone are the days when the right hand was cut off in Iran for importing artificial dyes. Now, even in their homeland, indigo plants actively synthesize a blue pigment for coloring denim.

According to their composition, it is customary to divide dyes into:

  • Acrylic
  • Aniline
  • Stamp
  • Plastisol
  • natural

The choice of a particular paint depends on the purpose of use and the composition of the material. For uniform coloring, natural and aniline dyes are best suited, and for drawing on fabric - luminous and acrylic.

Acrylic paints

The most popular for silk, woolen and cotton fabrics today are acrylic dyes. They are convenient to apply both small bitmaps and create whole masterpieces. Spectacular panels, small napkins or original blouses can be your pride.

The technique of painting with acrylics is identical to painting with watercolors or gouache. Apply the image to the fabric with a pencil or a special marker, and then use a natural bristle brush. In order not to go beyond the borders of the picture, use a colorless outline.

For painting on fabric, acrylic paints are used on a water-dispersion basis. They are odorless and dissolve well in water. After complete drying, they become waterproof and indelible from the fabric. True, in order to avoid the appearance of stains, it is recommended to wash such things by hand, at a water temperature not higher than 40 degrees.

Acrylic dyes are produced in the following forms:

  • In tubes. The most economical form factor. Allows you to keep the freshness of the paint for a long time.
  • In cans. Spray paint is used to dye large areas of fabric. It should be noted that the material itself acquires rigidity and ceases to stretch.
  • Spray. Unlike aerosol, the dye is sprayed by drip. It is not explosive because there is no pressure inside.

The best manufacturers of acrylic paints:

  • Simplicol (Simplicol)
  • Decola (Decola)
  • Marabu (Marabu)
  • Dylon (Dylon)

Aniline paints

This type of dye is available in powder or liquid form. Suitable for single color dyeing of natural fabrics.

As a rule, synthetic fabrics or mixed fabrics containing more than 60% of artificial threads are difficult to repaint.

The standard sequence for working with these paints is as follows:

  1. The pigment is dissolved in a large volume of liquid. The proportion is 1:30 or 1:40 in relation to the weight of the fabric being dyed. So, for a T-shirt weighing 100 gr. use 3-4 liters of coloring liquid.
  2. The fabric is immersed in the composition and boiled at a temperature of 95 degrees. The longer the process, the darker the color will be.
  3. At the end of cooking, 2-5 tbsp. l. salt to fix the paint.
  4. If you dye wool, add a couple more tablespoons of vinegar to the water. If cotton fabric - then soda.
  5. Do not forget to rinse the item after dyeing. The next 3-4 washes, the fabric may shed, so wash it separately from light and easily soiled items.

The above coloring option resembles the batik style. Aniline dyes can also achieve other effects on fabrics:

  • Gradient. The fabric is gradually lowered into the vat of dye at regular intervals. Then the part of the material that is on the coloring for half an hour will be darker than the one that has been in the liquid for only 10 minutes.
  • Divorces. In the 90s, jeans were dyed in this way at home. The fabric is twisted, as if they wanted to squeeze, and tied with a rope. In this form, the material is subjected to boiling.
  • Nodular. Small buttons or coins are covered with cloth and wrapped with thread. After coloring, characteristic traces in the form of rays remain on the material.

Stamp paints

Stamp inks are used in the hotel business and laundries for marking bed linen, towels and other fabric consumables. Their chemical composition is varied:

  • Alcohol based. Dries quickly. Withstands bleach and boiling.
  • Based on water and glycerin. Absorbs quickly and doesn't stain hands. Withstands temperatures up to 70 degrees. The most commonly used color is black.
  • Oil based. Durable paint. Dries slowly after application.
  • Colorless. Invisible under normal lighting. They show up under ultraviolet light. Used for hidden marking.

Plastisol paints

Luminous designs on clothes and sneakers are often found in people hanging out in clubs.

Unique images are applied with special fluorescent paints based on plastisol.

The following types are available for sale:

  • Glowing in the dark and under UV light.
  • Luminous only when exposed to UV radiation.

There are also visible and invisible colors. The latter in daylight have a white color scheme, and in the dark they glow blue, yellow, green or another color.

natural paints

The list of natural dyes is very wide:

  • onion peel
  • Vegetable, berry and fruit juices
  • nettle leaves
  • Turmeric
  • Zest of an orange or lemon
  • buckwheat leaves
  • Tansy
  • Oak bark
  • spruce cones
  • And so on.

The main advantage of such staining is its environmental friendliness. If you suffer from any kind of allergies, you should not take risks and use synthetic dyes. Use natural pigments to transform your items.

The dyeing technology is very similar to working with aniline paints. Just don't bring the water to a boil. It is enough to soak the fabric in infusion at 50-60 degrees.

The penultimate stage is the fixation of the pigment. It is carried out using a one percent solution of the following mordants:

  • Iron ammonium alum
  • Potassium bichromate
  • Sulphate copper
  • Potassium alum
  • stannous chloride

In the prepared liquid, the material should be kept for about 25 minutes, and then rinsed in a slightly acidic solution of vinegar.

It is one of the ways of self-expression. IN last years spectacular images with acrylic paints on nails are becoming more and more relevant.

This type of manicure is performed in beauty salons, but this does not mean that it cannot be done at home. The technique of its implementation is quite simple and, if desired, every woman can master it. With a little effort, and by trial and error, having learned how to work with an acrylic set of paints, you can create a stylish exclusive manicure on your nails.

With acrylic paints you can create whole paintings!

Once you have mastered the acrylic manicure technique, you can begin to master the more complex watercolor design.

We draw flowers on the nails with acrylic paint - a video tutorial to help you:

Some drawings with acrylic paints may seem very complex and impossible. However, having practiced on simple patterns, you can proceed to more complex ones. To do this, you need to know some of the nuances, knowing which you can create real works of art on your nails:

  • - material with a liquid consistency. So that it does not flow, the painting is done on a support.
  • It is better not to mix paints of different brands.
  • You should not apply the pattern with a natural brush, it is better to use a special synthetic brush designed for painting with acrylic paints.

Acrylic paints dry fairly quickly and do not require a UV lamp.

Acrylic design options

You can start with simple flowers

To create beautiful original drawings on the nails, it is enough to have a certain amount of imagination. Having fully mastered the design technique for a change, you can try its options.

Oil painting

Oil technique allows you to create on the nails both the simplest drawings and voluminous, varied in texture. The image will visually resemble an oil painting.

You need to draw with undiluted acrylic, to get more voluminous and textured patterns, you can purchase special 3D acrylic. The drawing is applied with a small flat brush. An unusual spectacular drawing will turn out if two different shades are applied to the brush and, without mixing them to the end, apply to the nails.

Pastose technique

This technique got its name from the Italian word "pastoso". Acrylic is applied in a very thick layer and resembles gouache. You can apply simple lines or create complex images - the drawings are clear and opaque, and the strokes in hue and texture are uniform and dense.

Over time, the paint on the nails does not crack or fade. Most often, landscape scenes, drawings with characters and other images with clear contours are applied. Paste technique involves the use of concentrated acrylic in intense colors.

watercolor technique

Acrylic paints - for those who can draw

To achieve the effect of halftones, drawing small elements inside the contour or adding a background to the picture, use the watercolor technique. To do this, acrylic is diluted with water, the paints become translucent and look like watercolor.

You can choose any drawing, the main thing is to adhere to the principles of the watercolor technique. Unlike pasty, it is applied in a thin translucent layer, using delicate pastel shades, which are created by mixing several colors of paint.

The watercolor technique involves the application of fuzzy, blurry outlines, so it is better to choose drawings that do not need detailing, for example, floral motifs.

sliding

This technique is considered one of the most difficult. For this reason, it is performed by masters in salons, for beginners who master the basics of acrylic manicure, it is better not to take it. Paints are diluted with a special gel so that they acquire a spectacular whitish tint. When dry, the paint becomes darker.

The difficulty lies in the fact that when applying an image using such paint, you can not calculate the color saturation and spoil the manicure. Only professionals can do this, which is why women who master acrylic design on their own should start with something simpler, with oil or pasty techniques.

Glaze

There are different techniques for painting with acrylic paints.

The glazing technique is used to create a background, shadow or base for a picture. Acrylic is diluted with water and applied to the nails with the thinnest layer, resembling a veil. Each layer is applied only after the previous one has dried.

The master using glazing must have fantasy and imagination, since the final effect will be visible only after the completion of all work, the application of the main image and the complete drying of the paint.

The peculiarity of a manicure made using the glazing technique is that it is almost completely translucent, and the image is very gentle, elegant and smooth.

Now that you know everything about acrylic design, you can start making it. A few workouts are enough and you can create real masterpieces. Artistic painting with acrylic paints is resistant and does not fade in the sun, so the manicure will last a long time.

In contact with

Hello to all my readers, today I will talk about acrylic paints. Or rather, what kind of acrylic paint for manicure is suitable, how to draw patterns with it. So, let's start with the main thing.

As always, before proceeding to the nail plates, you need to prepare them. The preparatory procedures include: removal of cuticles, burrs, shaping nails and polishing.

Now you need to choose the image that you would like to see on your nails. You can choose from samples or come up with something of your own if you want to show your imagination.

But do not forget that the image must fit on the nails so that the length and width fit.

To create the drawing itself, you will need some tools. These are water, acrylic paints, brushes, napkins, for convenient mixing of paints, you can use the panel and.

Also a colorless top coat. If you want, you can use regular varnish for the background. For decoration, you can use sparkles, rhinestones, etc.

How to use paint

The first step is to squeeze the paint onto the panel. But a small amount is better, as it dries quickly. If you think the color is too bright, you can check it on a piece of paper. Need a shade lighter? Just dilute with water and stir with a stick.

Also, if you do not have the desired shade, for example, you need pink, but there is only red and white, just squeeze out a couple of drops of red and white paint and mix. You need to drip them not on each other, but side by side. This makes it easier to get the color you want.

How to create a design

Three main types of design creation:

We use colored varnish as a base. Any varnish is applied to the nail plates (are you planning dark patterns? Then you need a light varnish, and vice versa).

We are waiting for complete drying and proceed to create the image itself with acrylic paint, there are a lot of options - flowers, stars, leaves, and so on. When the drawing is dry, cover with a protective clear varnish to fix.

Now we use acrylic paint itself as a base. Using a wide flat brush, apply paint to the entire surface of the nails.

Just dip the tip of the brush into the paint and spread. Before picking up more paint, the brush must be dipped in water, and the excess wiped off with a napkin. Next, you can draw patterns. Finish with varnish.

Without applying the main layer, you can achieve an unusual naturalness of the picture. It is without a color base that they look very natural. By the way, acrylic paint dries in just 10 seconds to a minute.

How to choose paint

You can buy it at any cosmetic store, the choice is very large, but you need to choose the right one for you. It should be dense and fit well on the nails, but this does not depend on the price.

They are sold in sets or individually. But do not rush to buy a whole set at once, it is better to buy one and try it out.

Only after trying several options for acrylic paint, you can choose the one you like and really good for yourself. I wish you good luck with this! Subscribe to my blog. Bye! Bye!

There are several types of hair dyes. Tints have the easiest effect due to the fact that they practically do not contain potent substances. They are more useful, but paint over the surface layer of the hair, giving it a new shade rather than a full color. Such paints cannot be called stable, because they are quickly washed off.

Semi-permanent dyes have a number of advantages of both tint and persistent types. And yet their action is not aimed at a cardinal change of color, although they affect it to a greater extent. Similarly, you can change the color by one tone. This type of dye contains hydrogen peroxide in small doses.

Thanks to persistent means, you can completely change the image. They are saturated with a significant amount of elements contributing to this, such as the notorious peroxide and ammonia. It is worth approaching the choice of the necessary composition with particular care so as not to allow it to disrupt the structure of the hair. Professional paint, known for its high cost, is saturated with fewer chemicals, which does not have such a negative effect on the body.

How to freshen up your look

First of all, read the instructions for using the paint and do an allergy test by applying the substance to the crook of your elbow for about a day. You will need: the dye itself; disposable rubber gloves; dishes for creating a mixture; brush for applying paint; protective cream and comb. Mix the dye components stored in separate containers in the required volume, taking into account the length of the hair and the instructions. After the mixture is ready, it is required to put it into action within half an hour, otherwise it will become unsuitable for this.

Divide the hairstyle into several large strands with a comb, starting from the parting. Lubricate the scalp along the edge of hair growth with a protective cream to prevent the paint from soaking into it. Cover your shoulders with a cloth, covering your clothing. Apply the dye to dry hair, as sebum has protective properties. Making massaging movements, first fill the partings with the mixture, then the back of the head and hair roots, then brush the rest of the hair with a brush, processing them to the ends.

To give a hairstyle a vibrant color, change the procedure, starting the process from the ends of the hair and moving towards the base. When staining regrown roots, start working with them, not being afraid to apply a sufficient amount of the mixture. After the proper time has elapsed, wash off the dye with warm water, preferably with a specialized shampoo, and rinse the scalp.

What to Avoid

Do not overdo the dye, but do not wash it off before the time specified in the manual - this can ruin your work and make your hair brittle. Lightening dark strands, do it gradually - tone by tone and not in one coloring. If you have previously used henna and other reddish shades, it is not recommended to experiment with color changes without consulting a hairdresser.

Take care of the hair at the temples and forehead last - they are particularly thin and susceptible to chemicals. And, of course, choosing a tone suitable for your hair, at least for the first time, should be done together with a specialist.
