Competitions for the New Year 2019 - the best New Year's games and entertainment for a friendly company

Interesting and fun competitions for the New Year 2019, New Year's games and entertainment during the celebration are no less important than a richly laid New Year's table. Thematic games and competitions, in which everyone present at the holiday will take part, will probably be remembered by guests more than treats and gifts, because such entertainment allows you to plunge into memories of a carefree childhood, feel the spirit of competition and have fun.

The patron saint of the coming 2019, the Yellow Earthen Pig (Boar), favors any New Year's entertainment and games, because this animal loves a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere. Therefore, by adding games and competitions to the “scenario” of the New Year’s party, you can not only be guaranteed to amuse all the guests, but also enlist the favor of the mystical patron of the New Year.

The best ideas for games and entertainment for the New Year

There are a lot of ideas for New Year's games and entertainment for a large or small company, because competitions for the New Year 2019 can be created based on any well-known games. Dance, intellectual, comic competitions, quests, competitions for dexterity, logic or knowledge of New Year's signs and rules - these are only a small part of the games for the New Year 2019. And below are described three of the best, in our opinion, entertainment for the New Year, which are suitable for any companies.

  1. Game-competition “Associations for the New Year”. The essence of this game is that everyone present at the New Year's party must name a word (object, phenomenon, etc.) in some way connected with the New Year. Examples of such associations are a Christmas tree, Christmas tree decorations, Santa Claus, gifts, etc. Their associations cannot be repeated after other participants in the competition. A participant who cannot come up with an association is eliminated from the game. And the winner will be the one who names the most words associated with the New Year holiday.
  2. Talent competition (New Year's forfeits). Forfeits with tasks for participants must be prepared in advance. You can come up with any tasks, the main thing is that they are related to the New Year theme. For example, excellent tasks for the game would be to sing a children's New Year's song in the style of a romance, play the role of the Snow Queen, make a beautiful snowflake from what is at hand, etc. The winner of the game will be the participant who best copes with his task.
  3. Dancing around the New Year tree. This simple and fun game is suitable for both children and adults. After the feast, all guests get up from the table, the host plays New Year's songs and names a fairy-tale character for each song. The task of all participants is to dance to portray the character named by the leader. The winners of this competition will be the most artistic participants; the winners can be determined both at the end of the game and after each song.

The coolest competitions for the New Year 2019 for a cheerful adult company

When choosing games and entertainment for a New Year's party, it is necessary, first of all, to take into account the age and interests of all guests present. For a company with small children, a cheerful group of friends and a family feast, completely different games and competitions are needed, because children, for example, are more interested in funny outdoor games, adults are more interested in funny table competitions, and older people prefer to just talk calmly. Also, when coming up with the coolest competitions for the New Year 2019 for a cheerful group of friends, you need to focus on the preferences and character traits of everyone present so that no one gets bored.

Below we will tell you how to hold three cool competitions that will surely appeal to all guests. Moreover, it should be noted that it is best to appoint those guests who usually take little part in the general conversation and rarely take part in the fun as a judge or judges of competitions. Such people will probably enjoy the role of a jury, and they will be able to have fun with everyone else.

Ideas for cool New Year's competitions for adults

Competition "Don't tell the truth."

To conduct this competition, it is necessary to compile in advance a list of questions about the New Year 2019, to which everyone present should know the answers. Such questions could be: “What animal’s year will New Year 2019 be according to the Chinese horoscope?”, “What tree is decorated for the New Year?”, “What animals are pulling Santa Claus’s team,” etc.

The host of the competition asks these questions to the participants, and the main condition is that you cannot answer the truth. And in order to make the competition more fun and not allow guests to think about the answer for a long time, it is necessary to set the time during which each participant must give an answer - 3 or 5 seconds. The participant who answered the truth or did not give an answer within the allotted time must complete some funny or cool task from the presenter.

Competition "Snowman with a surprise"

To conduct the competition you will need a plastic bucket, tape and various New Year's sweets - candies, tangerines, oranges, etc. The presenter tapes some sweets to the bottom of the bucket so that the participants cannot see, and then calls one of them, tells him to close his eyes and puts a bucket on his head. The participant's task is to guess which sweet is glued to the bucket without opening his eyes. If he doesn't guess correctly, the next participant is called. The one who correctly names the sweetness takes it for himself.

Competition “Box of Wishes”

This cool competition is very simple to prepare, but guarantees a lot of fun for everyone present. Its essence is that each of the guests must write their own funny wish task on a piece of paper and put it in a box. Then all the leaves with wishes are mixed, and each of the guests must take one leaf out of the box and complete the task written on it.

Funny corporate competitions for the New Year that will complement any scenario

The scenario of any corporate party for the New Year necessarily includes, in addition to congratulations and gifts from management, games and entertainment for all those present. Funny corporate competitions for the New Year allow everyone present at the party to have fun, have fun and build friendships with colleagues. And as a rule, in companies where mostly young people work, cool and funny competitions are held at corporate events.

Funny corporate competitions at New Year's celebrations are usually conducted by the host of the evening. He organizes everyone present, tells the rules of participation and chooses the winner. And here we have described several examples of funny competitions that will complement the scenario of any New Year's corporate party.

Funny competition “Addition to the festive look”

To conduct this competition, you need to prepare in advance a large box with various funny wardrobe items - huge leggings, children's tights, bright stockings, caps, multi-colored bow ties, etc. To conduct the game, you need all participants to stand in a circle and one of them takes a hands box with things.

The presenter turns on the music, and the participants pass the box to each other in a circle. As soon as the music is turned off, the one who has the box in his hands must pull out the first thing he comes across and put it on himself. Then the music is turned on again, and the participants then pass the box around. The competition ends when the box is empty.

Then all participants must draw a cartoon or a funny caricature of someone present at the celebration on a piece of paper and indicate the author of the drawing. Competition for adults “Fairytale photo shoot”

For his behavior you will need a camera (or, alternatively, a smartphone with a good camera) and the imagination of the presenter. The essence of the competition is that the presenter gives each participant the task of portraying a fairy-tale character using posture, facial expressions and available means, and then films it on camera. For the New Year of the Pig 2019, participants in such a competition can portray both funny New Year's characters (drunk Santa Claus, an angry Snow Maiden, a gray bunny whose Christmas tree was taken away, etc.), and the symbol of the coming year - the Yellow Pig or the earthen Boar.

After each participant in the competition has been photographed in a funny way, all guests look at the photos and choose a winner. And of course, these photos must be saved and sent to all guests as a memory of the fun holiday.

Competition "Let's Sing"

Number of players: Any
No props needed. Uses your own vocal cords.

Essence: Participants are divided into 2 teams. One “choir” must take turns asking a question, remembering a line from the song. For example: “What should I give you, my dear man?” Opponents quickly find the answer - a line from another piece of music, for example: “A million, a million, a million scarlet roses...” The last team to answer wins. You can make the task more difficult by choosing only New Year's questions.

Competition “What is my name?”

Number of players: Any.
Props: Cards made of paper with funny words on them (for example: lemur, bread slicer, bulldozer, cutie, etc.), of course not names.

The essence: Everyone receives a new name for the evening - a corresponding sign is attached to their back. The players' task is to find out their name from others. Questions can only be answered with “yes” and “no”. The winner is the one who first guesses the inscription on his sign.

Competitions for corporate events for the New Year 2019 - 2020 (Year of the Rat)

Let's celebrate the 2019 Year of the Pig with a fun competition).

Relay race "Pig's hooves"

Props: for this competition you will need paper cups (insert ribbons or strings along the edge of the glass on both sides into the slot, secure with a knot from the inside).

Essence: Guests are divided into two or three teams, depending on the number of people. The first players in the team are given cups, they stand on them, and take the ropes in their hands. On the contrary, there should be a space limitation, for example, a chair, 5-7 meters away. The first participants, accompanied by music, slide to the obstacle, go around it, return to the team and pass the cups to the next participants. The team that finishes the relay first wins, but points can be deducted for accuracy of execution.

Competition "Advertising"

Two young men are called. The presenter asks them to choose one lady from the audience. Then the presenter asks the question: “Why exactly did you like this girl? Viewers choose - eyes, hairstyle, shoes, etc.
Now the task of the participants is to come up with an advertisement for this part of the body, an item of clothing. The most creative advertisement wins.

Competition "Negotiations with polar bears and penguins"

An interesting and fun competition to “stretch” the brains of the whole team. Guests are divided into teams of approximately 5 people. All teams receive the same task: they will negotiate with polar bears and penguins in the same room, but bears are predators, and penguins are birds. In theory, the former should eat the latter. But here you can relax, no one will eat anyone. And the teams will have to answer in a minute of discussion why they shouldn’t worry, because 100 percent of the time, polar bears won’t eat penguins. There will be plenty of options. Ah, here is the correct answer and it is quite simple. But it’s unlikely to come to mind right away - polar bears won’t eat penguins, because the former live at the North Pole, and the latter at the South Pole, and in principle cannot eat each other, so the meeting will go peacefully. And, if suddenly, the team answers correctly, of course, they will receive a prize.

The guests will begin to have fun when someone has to come up with an original start to the letter “Y” or those toasts for which it is difficult to quickly come up with an initial word. The author of the most interesting toast wins.

Competition "Burst the Ball"

Many family fun competitions for the New Year are organized with balloons. In this case, you first need to put small notes with funny riddles in them, and then inflate the balloons. During the fun, the host distributes them to the players. Each owner must burst the balloon and take out a note from there, read the riddle out loud and answer it. If someone finds it difficult to answer, then he will have to complete a penalty task invented by everyone.

Riddles need humor, for example:

Game “What will I do with the gift?”

You can also use the idea of a magic gift bag in this table game. The presenter has cards on a tray with options for what can be done with the gift received. Each guest draws a card, reads it out, then randomly takes a gift out of the bag and, if desired, depicts the action predicted with it.

Competition "Get to know a relative"

Funny New Year's competitions in the family circle rarely take place without this competition. Some members of the household are blindfolded and woolen mittens are put on their hands. Then one of the participants in the feast approaches him, and the host invites the player to find out who is in front of him. The player can feel the person's figure without taking off his mittens, trying to guess who is standing in front of him. In fact, even a close and well-known person is not so easy to guess.

Competition "Dance on an Ice Floe"

Any number of male-female couples can participate in the competition. To carry it out you will need newspapers (according to the number of pairs). A newspaper is placed in front of each couple - this is their ice floe. The participants' task is to dance without stepping over the edges of the newspaper. Every minute the ice floe begins to melt, and the newspaper folds in half. Music is constantly changing. You cannot stand; the couple must dance. Participants who step outside the boundaries of the newspaper are eliminated from the game. The last pair remaining wins.

Do you want even more interesting and cool competitions? Read Part 2:
And of course, the most important thing at the New Year's holiday were always children.
And for them it is worth choosing not only individual competitions and games, but also involving all adults in them. Otherwise, what fun is it?

Competitions for the New Year 2019 - 2020 New Year's games and entertainment for children

Game "Candy"

Suitable for adults and children. It is necessary to tie the candies to threads in advance and hang them on chairs. Contestants, one at a time, must try to cut the candies with scissors with their eyes closed. Other guests may give incorrect advice in finding candy.

Competition "Hairdresser"

“Victims” sit on chairs, preferably men, of course. At the command of the presenter, young hairdressers must do hairstyles for clients using elastic bands, hairpins and combs. Whoever gets the most creative hairstyle wins.

Competition “Remembering Childhood”

This nostalgic competition for the New Year with family can appeal to different generations. You need to say a phrase or sing a verse or chorus of a song of a famous fairy-tale or cartoon character without saying his name. For example, “I am a man in the prime of life,” “Whoever helps people is wasting his time,” “Normal heroes always take a detour.” If no one remembers who they are talking about, the player who made the guess begins to give clues without saying the name of the hero.

Relay race “Snowball Gatherers”

For the relay race, two large, thick bags are prepared in advance, with slits for the legs at the bottom. In addition to this, you will need foam snowballs. You can replace them with lumps of white paper in the shape of snowballs. Children are divided into two teams. One of the players on each team is given the honorary name “Snowball Collector” and a bag with slots is put on his feet.
Cheerful music plays and the presenter throws snowballs on the floor. At the leader’s command, the children begin to collect snowballs, throwing them into the bag of their “Snowball Collector”. At the end, they count whose team collected the most snowballs.

Game "Throwers, knockers, hits"

There is no need for intelligence here, and it is quite possible to entertain guests from 3 to 103 years old.
From experience, such competitions sometimes turn out to be very exciting. It is difficult to guess what exactly your guests will like, we will simply list some options, and you will decide on the available props and set aside a place for the game:
– If you find any version of darts (magnetic, balls with Velcro), feel free to award a prize to the most accurate, there will definitely be interest in the competition.
– Skittles or plastic bottles filled with beans, peas or water are fun to knock down with a rubber ball at any age. Prize for winning New Year's bowling!
– Throwing “snowballs” from a newspaper into a basket (what if someone gets a 10 out of 10 result?). Choose the distance yourself.

DIY New Year's crafts

Choose the most interesting Competitions for the New Year 2019 - 2020! New Year's games and entertainment will help make your holiday interesting and unforgettable, which you will remember for a long time with warmth and joy! Happy New Year!

Have you already started preparing competitions for the New Year 2020? Yesterday I decided to look for various games and competitions for the New Year, and found many interesting ones that will help us enter the Year of the Rat cheerfully and joyfully.

How to prepare for competitions and games: fun and interesting competitions for the New Year will help save even traditional New Year's family gatherings in the company of a TV, not to mention a party for a cheerful company. However, it is best to prepare a little.

  1. Make a plan for games and competitions. A group of adults will need to eat, raise their glasses to the New Year, and dance, so the game program should be carefully woven into the natural flow of the party.
  2. Prepare your props. Having decided what you will play at home for the New Year, make a list of what you will need for this or that competition. It's best to organize props and prizes into themed competitions (I use small gift bags for this).
  3. Stock up on prizes. People really like to receive small funny prizes - candies, chocolates, cute New Year's toys. It’s better to take extra prizes.
  4. It is better to make auxiliary materials on cards - if you need to stock up on some phrases, scripts and texts, then write or print them on regular cards in advance, this is much more convenient than using one large script.
  5. Select music, identify your helpers, prepare a place for games.

Collection of competitions and games

"Wishes"

The simplest New Year's games and all sorts of competitions are those where guests do not need to do anything - for example, they can be asked to burst balloons with wishes inside.

You need to prepare in advance a large bunch of balloons (their number should be greater than the number of guests, just in case), inside which notes with wishes are inserted. For example, you can give a guest scissors and invite him to cut off the ball he likes, and then read it aloud to all the guests - such a simple but cute entertainment helps the company have fun and unite.

"Tsiferki"

New Year's games and competitions based on the question-and-answer model always receive a lot of applause. It’s no wonder - everyone loves to laugh, but there are no difficulties.

So, the host hands out small pieces of paper and pens to the guests, and invites them to write down their favorite number (or any other number that comes to mind). If you wish, you can record some sequence and play several circles. When all the guests have completed the task, the presenter says that now everyone present will be able to learn more about each other - he will ask questions, and the guests will answer them, holding up a piece of paper with the numbers written down and loudly announcing the answer.

It is best to choose simple questions - how old is this or that guest, how many times a day does he eat, how much does he weigh, how many times has he stayed for a second year, and so on.

"Not a word of truth"

My favorite pastimes are funny competitions for the New Year. Of course, for a group of retirees you will need to choose something more decent, but in your circle you can always have fun - for example, by playing the game “Not a Word of the Truth”.

The presenter will need to prepare in advance many New Year's questions, such as these:

  • What tree is traditionally decorated for the holiday?
  • What film in our country symbolizes the New Year?
  • What is customary to launch into the sky on New Year's Eve?
  • who is sculpted from snow in winter?
  • who on TV addresses Russians with a New Year's speech?
  • The outgoing year is the year of whom according to the Chinese calendar?

It’s better to write down more questions; you can ask about New Year’s traditions in different countries, or the habits of guests. During the game, the host will have to quickly and cheerfully ask his questions, and the guests will answer, without saying a word of the truth.

The one who makes a mistake and answers truthfully, based on the results of the game, can read poetry, sing a song or fulfill various wishes - you can use wishes to play forfeits, for example, the loser needs to put several slices of tangerine in both cheeks and say something like “I’m a hamster and I eat grain, don’t touch it - it’s mine, and whoever takes it is the end!”. Bursts of laughter are guaranteed - both during the game and during the “punishment” of the losing participant.

"Accurate shooter"

As entertainment for the New Year 2020, you can play snipers. It’s most fun to play this game when the participants are already a little tipsy - and coordination becomes more free, and there is less constraint, and it’s a little more difficult to hit the target.

The essence of the game is as follows: guests are divided into two teams, and in turn each player throws “snowballs” into a bucket. The bucket is placed at a distance of five to seven meters from the players; you can use lumps of cotton wool, crumpled paper as “snowballs,” or just take a couple of sets of simple New Year’s plastic balls, which are sold in any supermarket.

I decided to improve this game for a New Year's party 2020 for adults and use children's basketball hoops as a “goal” - hitting them with a soft ball of cotton wool is even more difficult than hitting a bucket.

"New Year decoration"

Of course, New Year's competitions for adults can be less sporting.

All those present should be divided into teams of 5-6 people (depending on the number of guests at your party). The teams are given the task of building a New Year's ball. For production, you can only use toiletries, accessories and jewelry that the team members are wearing. The team that makes the brightest and most beautiful ball wins.

By the way, a little life hack— in every company there are people who do not actively participate in competitions and just try to sit out, which is why quite a lot of time is spent on persuasion. So, appoint them to the jury - you can make them score cards in advance, offer them to make a short speech into an improvised microphone. This way they will be simultaneously involved in the general fun, and at the same time they will not have to be persuaded and pulled out from the table.

And of course, the sight of my own mother, who soulfully speaks into a glass of champagne instead of a microphone about how grateful she is to Mikhalkov and the Film Academy for the opportunity to see the ice battle in her own living room is priceless. :))

"Come, forest deer"

By the way, if you are selecting competitions for a corporate event for the New Year or for a party that will not take place in a city apartment, then be sure to play Santa with his reindeer. There is no need to divide the guests into teams; it is enough to simply invite them to split into pairs.

Each pair has a “reindeer” and a “Santa” (you can give one a makeshift antler and the other a Santa hat—both sell for mere pennies at a convenience store before the new year).

The “deer” needs to be blindfolded and made into a harness - no need to split hairs, a simple clothesline or cord that wraps around the belt will do. The reins are given to Santa, who stands behind his “reindeer.” A track is built from the pins, the leader gives a signal and the competition begins. Those participants who reach the finish line earlier than others and do not knock down the pins win. Instead of skittles, you can use empty bottles, cardboard drink cups or paper cones (we made them in the shape of Christmas trees, it was very cute).

"Collective Letter"

When it comes to New Year's games at the table, I always remember how my parents and friends wrote a collective New Year's greeting for everyone present every New Year. You can use a ready-made text (as in the image), you can create your own - the main thing is that it should not contain adjectives - the guests should call them.

The host invites the guests to congratulate each other and say a big and beautiful toast - and waves a postcard on which he has already written a congratulation. Only he didn’t have enough adjectives, and the guests must suggest them. Everyone randomly offers adjectives related to winter, New Year and holiday, and the presenter writes them down and then reads out the result - the text turns out to be very funny!

"Turnip: New Year's version"

If you love New Year's competitions for the whole family, then turnip is what you need!

So, you need to prepare the participants - they need to match the number of characters in the fairy tale. Each participant gets a role in an impromptu performance. It's simple, the participant needs to remember the key phrase and movement that he must act out when mentioning himself.

  1. The turnip will slap its knees and then clap its hands with the exclamation “Both-on!”
  2. Grandfather rubs his palms and grunts, “Yes, sir!”
  3. The grandmother swings her fist at the grandfather and says, “I would have killed him!”
  4. The granddaughter dances and sings “I’m ready!” in a high voice (when men play this role, it turns out just great).
  5. The bug itches and complains of fleas.
  6. The cat wags its tail and mannerly drawls, “And I’m on my own.”
  7. The mouse sadly shrugs its shoulders and says, “We’ve finished the game!”

After everyone has tried themselves in a new role, the presenter reads the text of the fairy tale (no changes here), and the actors act out their role whenever they hear about themselves. The grandfather planted (rubs his hands and grunts) a turnip (clap-clap, both of them!) and further according to the text. Believe me, there will be enough bursts of laughter, especially when the fairy tale comes to the end, and the presenter will list all the participants in turn.

"Strictly in alphabetical order"

During one of the pauses, the presenter takes the floor and reminds everyone present that the New Year’s celebration is just beginning, but it’s already difficult to remember the alphabet. In this connection, the presenter suggests filling the glasses and raising them, but strictly in alphabetical order.

Each guest must make a short toast to his letter of the alphabet. The first one starts with the letter a, the second one should start with the letter b, and so on. Toasts should be simple:

  1. A It is absolutely necessary to drink to happiness in the new year!
  2. B Let's go healthy in the new year!
  3. IN Let's drink to the old year!
  4. E If we don’t get drunk, we’ll have to eat!

The task for everyone present is to make toasts for each letter of the alphabet, and then choose the winner - the one who came up with the best toast, which is worth drinking for!

"Bunnies"

If you want to pick up outdoor games for the New Year 2020, play bunny. On New Year's Eve, it is best to play this game at home when there are many guests - it is suitable for a group of friends.

Everyone stands in a circle and holds hands, the leader walks around all the players in a circle and whispers to everyone the names of two animals - a wolf and a bunny, a fox and a bunny, and so on. Then he explains the essence of the game - when the presenter says the name of the animal out loud, the person for whom it was given crouches, and his neighbors on the left and right, on the contrary, pull him up, preventing him from crouching. You need to play at a good pace so that the participants get into a frenzy.

The main joke of this action is that absolutely all players have a second animal - a bunny. Therefore, after people have taken turns squatting to the names of other animals, the leader says “Bunny!”, and the whole circle suddenly tries to sit down (trying to overcome the possible resistance of neighbors, as was the case with other animals).

Naturally, everyone starts laughing, and a pile of small things gathers on the floor!

"News from the New Year"

A great competition that you can play without leaving the table.

The presenter will need to prepare cards on which unrelated words and concepts will be written - five or six words, no more needed. Each participant receives a card and must quickly come up with the hottest news from the New Year's issue, using all the words from the card. What to write on cards? Any set of words.

  • China, dumplings, roses, Olympics, lilac.
  • Santa Claus, wheel, eraser, north, bag.
  • New Year, fan, tights, pan, scabies.
  • Santa Claus, rat, herring, stapler, barrier.
  • Nettle, tinsel, Kirkorov, fishing rod, plane.
  • Football, shovel, snow, Snow Maiden, tangerines.
  • Snowman, beard, tights, bicycle, school.
  • Winter, zoo, washing, boa constrictor, rug.

How to come up with news? Set an example for your guests by showing them that all words need to be used, and the stranger the news, the more interesting it is.

Well, for example, from the last example I gave, you can build something like this: “In the Moscow Zoo, during winter washing, a rug was discovered in a boa constrictor.” There will be a reason to be surprised, and laugh, and drink to the fact that all the news in the new 2020 will be just as positive.

"We're jumping into the New Year"

In the family circle, we often organize jumping as a form of entertainment for the New Year, and 2020 will not be an exception, I’m sure - this is already a kind of tradition.

So, how it happens: after drinking for the outgoing year, the presenter brings markers and pencils (the brighter the better) and a large sheet of paper (Whatman paper A0-A1) and invites everyone present not just to enter the new year, but to jump - so that it passes dynamically, energetically and brightly!

And for all your wishes to come true, you need to draw them. On a large sheet of paper, everyone draws their desires - some manage to draw several miniatures, for others it is enough to sketch what they want. By the time the president speaks, the drawing is usually completed or the finishing touches are remaining. After the president’s speech, the presenter invites everyone to join hands, count down the chimes in unison, and solemnly jump into the new year and the fulfillment of their own wishes!

By the way, my mother and I usually save the sheet, and next year we check who has achieved what - also a topic for table conversation, by the way.

"The best"

Good New Year's entertainment can happen without a host. A good way to keep guests busy is to give them unique tasks, but few people want to just compete, right?

Therefore, we do the following - we hang sweets or small gifts on the tree. It is best to opt for figured chocolate or other sweet Christmas tree decorations. We provide each with a note to whom the gift is intended, but we write not names, but some definitions that the guests will have to think about and get to know each other better (ideal when there are newcomers who need to join the existing company).

What to write on labels:

  1. The owner of the brownest eyes.
  2. The best high jumper.
  3. To the biggest hooligan (here you will have to tell everyone about your hooliganism in childhood).
  4. The owner of the best tan.
  5. The owner of the highest heels.
  6. The owner of the most dangerous job.
  7. A couple whose number of buttons on their clothes is 10.
  8. To the one who is wearing more yellow today.

I think you understand the main message. Guests will independently begin to find out who vacationed where, who has a brighter tan, measure the length of their heels and discuss work.

"Song from a Hat"

By the way, almost all New Year's competitions at the table involve playing with a hat - some notes are thrown into the hat in advance, and then they are pulled out and carried out tasks for relatives or colleagues.

In the New Year 2020, with our family, we will play a popular variation of this game with songs. You need to scribble notes with winter and New Year's words into the hat, each guest blindly takes a note out of the hat and sings a song in which this word appears.

By the way, you will be able to have fun even if during the feast you forget all the songs - most likely, your family, like my relatives, will have a great idea to compose a small song on the go to the most popular tune, or somehow remake one from famous New Year's songs of past years.

By the way, this game is also suitable for a small company of any age - of course, a schoolchild is unlikely to recognize Soviet songs, but the result will be funny, and different age groups will be able to get closer during the game - after all, cool New Year's competitions unite!

"Mittens"

Naturally, New Year's competitions for young people are not complete without flirting - why not help friends get closer?

So, the girls put on robes or shirts, and the guys are given thick winter mittens. The essence of the competition is to quickly button up the girls’ shirts so that they don’t freeze!

By the way, my friends, who love various New Year's competitions for teenagers and young people, wanted to do this competition in reverse - freeing the girls from their shirts, however, they were forced to disqualify the participant - it turns out that even with mittens it is convenient to pull the hem of the shirt and tear off all the buttons at once. Therefore, it is better to fasten it; it is not easy to do this in mittens.

"Let's draw Santa Claus"

Creative New Year's competitions for corporate parties are a great opportunity to have fun.

So, holes are made for the hands in a thick sheet of cardboard. We give the players tassels, they must stick their hands into the holes and portray Santa Claus. At this moment they cannot see what they are drawing.

At work, you can divide the team into male and female teams, and give one the task of portraying the Snow Maiden, and the other - Grandfather Frost. The winner is the team whose result is most similar to a fairy-tale character.

By the way, if you are selecting competitions for a New Year’s corporate party, do not forget to find funny music - I use cuts from Soviet children’s cartoons for New Year’s competitions 2020, this usually evokes the warmest emotions.

"We distribute roles"

You can start fun competitions for the New Year for your family with this kind of entertainment.

Prepare more attributes of fairy-tale New Year's characters, put notes with roles in empty Kinder capsules (you can simply wrap them in wrapping paper like candy) and start games at the table for the New Year with an offer to find out who still runs the show.

Everyone present must play their part. These could be snowflakes, bunnies, squirrels, Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, the Snow Queen, an overseas guest - Santa Claus and his reindeer. Give out small attributes to all guests that will correspond to their role that night - for example, a crown is suitable for the snow queen, Santa Claus can loudly knock with an elegant staff, and a company of oversized bunnie boys with white ears will decorate any New Year's photo.

Believe me, New Year's table games will take on a new color as soon as Grandma Winter or Mikhailo Potapych, who specially woke up for competitions for the New Year 2020 and New Year's dances, starts making a toast.

"Photo tests"

What are some cool competitions for the New Year without photos?

Make an area for photography and collect some props in this corner - guests can take pictures in different images, and then you can arrange photo tests. So, you will need to determine who is suitable for the role:

  • the most decrepit snowflake;
  • the sleepiest guest;
  • the most cheerful Baba Yaga;
  • the hungriest Santa Claus;
  • the most generous Santa Claus;
  • the kindest Santa Claus;
  • the most beautiful Snow Maiden;
  • the most overfed guest;
  • the most cheerful guest;
  • the most cunning Baba Yaga;
  • the evil Kashchei himself;
  • the strongest hero;
  • the most capricious princess;
  • the biggest snowflake;
  • and so on…

By the way, you can hold this competition a little differently - stock up on props, and invite guests to draw, without looking, the role in which they will be photographed, and the rest of the participants should help with advice and deeds to better embody the image. You can laugh during the process, and when you look at the pictures - fortunately, you can do this in just a few minutes.

"Little things from Grandfather Frost"

Tell your guests this legend about how Santa Claus was walking through the forest with gifts, fell with one foot into a snowdrift and spilled gifts from the bag. The big ones remained in the bag, but the small presents fell out. And you picked them up and now give them to all the guests.

Wrap all kinds of nice little things that you bought in advance in opaque packaging, or you can wrap gifts in small pieces of fabric, like miniature bags, tied with a thick thread or ribbon.

Pleasant little things can include: calendar cards, candles, keychains, pens, flashlights, kinders, liquid soap, magnets.

Every time it surprises with what trepidation guests wait for these gifts... Not only children, but even adults :)

Well, and finally, be a good magician and predictor, another New Year's entertainment from the site:

Now you know how my holiday will go, and what games will you have for the New Year’s corporate party or home party? Share your ideas, because it’s better to prepare table games for the New Year and interesting competitions in advance, and 2021 is just around the corner!

To make the New Year's celebration interesting and joyful, hold a couple of competitions for guests. The article contains entertainment that is suitable for events of various formats.

For the whole family

Guests young and old will be able to take part in family competitions for the New Year 2019. Each game is designed to bring loved ones closer together on the eve of the holiday.

Memory Relay

You will need a symbolic baton. It can be any object, for example, a chocolate bar. The goal of the competition is to spend the outgoing year with kind words and pleasant memories.

A person with a baton in his hands must quickly remember the most wonderful event that happened to him over the past 12 months. He tells the crowd about it. Then he passes the wand to any of those present.
If someone hesitates and cannot quickly remember anything positive, then he is awarded the comic prize “Lucky of the Year 2018”. Among New Year's games and entertainment for the family, this relay race is one of the most heartwarming competitions.

Balloons with wishes

You need to prepare for this entertainment in advance. Write wishes for your household on pieces of paper, then place them inside inflatable balloons. You will also need a hat or cap. Leaves with the names of different parts of the body (elbow, heel, knee) are placed in the headdress.

Guests choose their favorite balls. But they shouldn't just eat them. This must be done with the part of the body that is written on the piece of paper from the hat. As a reward for their efforts, everyone will receive good wishes for the coming year.

New Year's Oscar

The New Year's Oscar is awarded for the best performance in the role of the symbol of the New Year. The mascot of the upcoming holiday is a pig. Everyone has a specific role. One will be a “sad pig”, another will be a “mysterious”, the third will be a “piggy dreaming of rolling in the mud.”

From those who did not want to try on the role of the symbol of the New Year, you can assemble the “academy jury”. All “actors” are given props – toy snouts and ears.

Over the next 15-20 minutes, each player behaves according to their role. At the same time, you can continue to communicate with each other, but this must be done in the manner of the pig that the participant received.

At the end, the jury deliberates and writes the winner's name on paper. The leaflet can be placed in a pre-prepared envelope so that everything is like at a real ceremony. The winner receives a prize for the most artistic pig.

For children

These entertainments will appeal to kids who do not yet go to school and elementary school students. All children's competitions are active and aimed at uniting the children.

Snowballs

The competition consists of two parts. The first is making snowballs. The children are divided into two groups and a pile of newspapers is dumped in front of each of them. In a minute, the guys must “blind” them into snowballs.

After the children make “projectiles”, you can move on to the second part of the competition - the accuracy competition. Teams line up in two rows. Colored tape is glued to the floor in front of them. It marks a line that participants must not cross.

A few meters from the markings, baskets are placed - children should aim snowballs there. Time is noted again. Participants one by one approach the “firing line” and throw snowballs into the basket. The team whose catch is greater wins.

Decorating the Christmas tree

Ideally, for this competition you will need two small New Year's trees. But you can show your imagination and choose “Christmas trees” from children. The remaining players are divided into two teams. They are given safe, unbreakable toys on strings. The goal of the competition is to hang as many decorations as possible on the spruce tree in a minute. In this case, the child in the role of a tree should stand motionless.

You can complicate the game by placing “Christmas trees” at a distance of several meters from the teams, so that the participants take turns running up to it with decorations.

Tinsel

Two teams stand opposite each other. Each participant is given tinsel. The competition begins to the New Year's tune. The first player must tie his tinsel around the hand of the second child, and the latter must tie the hand of the third. When it’s the last participant’s turn, he runs to the first and puts his tinsel on his hand.

After this, the children raise their hands up together. The team that does this first wins.

Table

Sometimes you want to have fun without leaving the table. Below are competitions that will give guests a good mood without taking up a lot of energy.

Remember the alphabet

“Remember the Alphabet” is an entertainment that is ideal for that moment when guests have already drunk and eaten, but are still cheerful and cheerful. For this competition you will need filled glasses and a sense of humor.

The presenter says that he forgot the entire alphabet due to alcohol. In order for him to remember it, the guests must take turns making toasts. The first participant begins his speech with the letter A, the second with B, the third with C, and so on in a circle. For example: “Shouldn’t we drink to your health?”, “Be happy in the new year!”, “Money and good luck to everyone.”

At the end, the most original toast is chosen, and the guests drink to the winner.

Song from the hat

For this game you need to write on pieces of paper words on a New Year's theme (winter, blizzard, Snow Maiden, snowflake). The papers are sent to the header.

Guests take turns taking out pieces of paper and singing songs that contain the word they come across. To make it even more fun, you can include karaoke videos from the Internet as an accompaniment.

And again about gifts

For this game you need to prepare a bag with small comic gifts. The presenter turns to the guest sitting on the left and says: “I have wanted to give you this thing for so long, but I couldn’t give it to you because of...”. Here you need to come up with a funny reason, for example, “I myself was sorry to part with this item” or “this thing cost a fortune.”

The host then blindly pulls out a gift and hands it to the guest. After this, the person who received the gift takes the bag and makes a speech for his neighbor on the left. The more ridiculous the reason why the gift was not given, the merrier.

For adults

Competitions for adults require the use of strong drinks. However, there is also fun non-alcoholic entertainment.

Drink and snack

Guests are given two pieces of paper. One sticker says “drink”, the other says “snack”. Everyone must supplement the first piece of paper with an object from which to drink, for example: “Drink from the palm of the neighbor on the right” or “drink from the pan.”

On the second piece of paper, guests write what the person will have as a snack: “salt”, “sniff with hair”. The stickers are then placed in two hats or boxes and taken turns being pulled blindly.

Kinosecret

An A4 sheet is hung on the wall. One person names another character from any New Year's movie and hands a marker. The player will have to explain to the guests who they wished for him using a drawing. Artistic skills do not play any role here. The one who guessed the hero first becomes the explainer, as in the famous game “Crocodile”.

Festive cocktail

For this game, the participant is blindfolded with thick cloth. After a person “loses his sight,” one of the guests prepares a cocktail for him from any drinks that are on the table. The miracle potion is then given to the player to try. He must determine what components his New Year's cocktail consists of.

Guests write down his result, for example, “Igor - guessed 3 out of 5.” Then the same thing is done with the next participant. The one who correctly names all the ingredients wins. The current prize in this competition will be a hangover pill.

For a group of adults who don't drink, you can hold a similar competition, in which instead of a cocktail, the participants are given a sandwich. It can include any food that is on the table.

We are holding a lottery

The main condition for the lottery for the New Year 2019 is that it is win-win. On this holiday, everyone should go home with gifts and a good mood. Therefore, you need to know the exact number of guests in advance. Just in case, you can prepare two or three more presents.

You have to prepare not only gifts, but also lottery tickets. Since the year of the pig is coming, you can download a funny image of a pig from the Internet and print out many copies of it. Place numbers on the pictures according to the number of participants.

You can simply hand over tickets to guests before the start of the party. But it’s more interesting if you show your imagination. For example, attach pictures with numbers under the chairs. If the company is small, then you can call guests one by one to the center of the hall and ask them to sing a song, tell a poem or an anecdote. As a reward for the action, the person dips his hand into the ticket hat and pulls out his lucky pig.

Any little thing can be used as prizes - from a pin to a chocolate bar. It will be very funny if you accompany the presentation of a gift with a comic couplet. For example: “To be like in the picture all year round, get ascorbic acid!”

For schoolchildren

Competitions for schoolchildren are suitable for students of any age. Both fifth-graders and graduates usually enjoy running and jumping.

Whoever managed it sat down

The chair game is a timeless classic for schoolchildren. Before the entertainment begins, count the number of participants. Chairs must be placed one number less. Children run around them to cheerful New Year's music. As soon as the melody turns off, the guys must sit on the chairs. The one who does not have enough space is eliminated. Despite the fact that this game has been around for many years, it always causes a lot of excitement among teenagers.

Jump into the New Year

The competition is based on an old German tradition. On New Year's Eve in Germany it is customary to stand on a chair and jump from it. It is believed that the further you jump, the happier you will be over the next 12 months. To avoid injury, you can avoid using chairs. The winner is the one who jumps the farthest.

Hand to hand

All players are divided into pairs. The presenter turns on fiery music, to which the guys begin to jump and dance. During the fun, all couples must separate and mix. Then the music stops abruptly, the presenter shouts: “Hand to hand!” Everyone must quickly find their partner and touch hands. Whoever is last is eliminated. In each round, the presenter gives different tasks: “Heel to heel”, “forehead to forehead”.

For the New Year 2019, the game can be complicated. To do this, you will need themed items, such as snowflakes made of cardboard, toy piglets, and candies in the form of Santa Claus. They must be placed in the room where the holiday is taking place. In the next round, the presenter announces: “Snowflake to snowflake,” after which everyone must take a snowflake and touch them. The last one to find the item is eliminated.

For young people

Below are several cool competitions that are perfect for celebrating the New Year in the company of young people.

Unloading the Christmas tree

Two volunteers are selected who will have to remove candies from the Christmas trees with their eyes closed. And all the other guests act as the New Year's tree. They are lined up and candy is attached to each one. You can do this using clothespins. Participants are blindfolded, given a basket and taken to different ends of the “guest tree.” On command, players begin by touch to remove candy from people and put it in their basket. The competition ends when the participants collide with each other in the middle. Whoever has the most candies wins.

Firecrackers and girls

At the beginning of the holiday, all the boys are given a cracker. Then the rules of the competition are announced. Throughout the evening, each guy must "blow up" his firecracker without warning. And the girls, hearing the next “bang-bang,” jump into the arms of any young man standing next to them. Anyone who gets confused or forgets about the competition will have to complete some fun task from the guests.

Tangerines of Friendship

The guests are divided into two teams and lined up. You need to prepare two bowls of tangerines and two large empty plates. The first participant takes the tangerine with his teeth and passes it to the other person’s mouth. The last player must place the tangerine on the plate. You can't help yourself with your hands. The team that manages to collect the most citrus fruits in two minutes wins. Don't forget to wash the tangerines before the competition.

For a corporate event

Competitions for corporate parties include both outdoor games and entertainment that can be arranged without leaving the table.

Decorating the Christmas tree

Participants in the competition will have to blindly decorate a Christmas tree. But before you hang the toy on the tree, you still need to find it. Everyone who wants to is taken to the center and given a piece of jewelry. Then the guests are blindfolded and forced to spin around their axis several times.

After this, everyone begins to move forward until they come across some object or living person. The participant must hang his toy on the obstacle he encounters. The one who is lucky enough to stumble upon the Christmas tree wins. While moving, you cannot change its direction. Another prize is given to the player who “found” the most original place for his toy.

Dance Marathon

For this competition we will have to select several diverse musical cuts. Participants are divided into pairs. Each of them will have to perform a dance to music that absolutely does not correspond to it. For example, the presenter announces: “The first couple is dancing Lezginka.” And the song “The color of mood is blue” sounds.

The more inappropriate dance and music turn out to be for each other, the merrier. As tasks, you can recall ancient genres such as minuet and waltz.

Promises

Everyone is given stickers on which guests write three things they will definitely do in the coming year. These leaves are then rolled up and thrown into the hat, where they are mixed. After that, each guest blindly draws a promise and reads it out loud. Funny coincidences cannot be avoided.

You can complicate the entertainment so that the one who reads “his” promise guesses who it actually belongs to.

Funny contests

In the entertainment presented below, everyone will be able to show their artistry and imagination. All competitions are aimed at making others laugh and having a good laugh.

New Year's crocodile

To play the festive crocodile, you need to prepare a lot of stickers with the names of New Year's films. For example, “Love Actually”, “Irony of Fate”, “Carnival Night”. The first player draws a piece of paper at random. The participant must perform such a pantomime so that the other guests can guess the name of the film.

The first one to name the correct answer is the next to draw a leaf from the hat. At the end, you can give out a prize for the most artistic performance.

Snowman T-shirt

Prepare three large men's T-shirts. Before the start of the holiday, they need to be rolled up and placed in the freezer. Select three men to participate in the competition. They get to wear these T-shirts. Whoever does it the fastest wins. Considering the condition of the T-shirts from the freezer, the task ahead will not be easy.

Read my lips

Two players are given a pair of headphones that play music. The volume should be at such a level that people cannot hear each other. Then one player is given cards with questions about the holiday. For example: “How much do you usually drink on New Year’s Eve?” or “What do you like to do on the first of January?”

The second participant should try to understand the question being asked and answer it as accurately as possible. After a few minutes, the question cards are passed to the other pair of players. Those who answer the most questions correctly win.

For relaxed guests

Not every company likes noisy or lively competitions. The next three entertainments are just for those who like calm but fun games.

Funny fortune telling

On pieces of paper, guests write questions about what awaits them in the coming year. The stickers are then rolled up and thrown into the hat. After this, guests are given new pieces of paper on which they need to write answers, for example: “this will definitely happen” or “you’ll have to wait another year.” They are thrown into another hat.

Guests take turns pulling leaves from first one, then from another headdress and read out what they came across. The more creative the questions and answers, the merrier.

Chrismas story

During this entertainment, guests will feel like real writers. Everyone is given 8-10 pieces of paper on which they need to write different words.

Half of them should be related to the New Year, and the other part should be an unlimited flight of fancy. Then all the leaves are placed in a hat and mixed thoroughly.

Fun around the New Year tree, decorated with tinsel, garlands and toys - such a holiday will probably delight any child. Games and competitions will make the celebration even more interesting. Relax.by knows what competitions and fun to arrange for children to make the holiday unforgettable.

New Year's competitions for preschool children

Round dance around the Christmas tree
To interest the youngest players, you need to try: kids lose interest very quickly if the activity does not catch their attention. In such a situation, round dances around the Christmas tree will save you. This is a win-win option that kids of all ages love. Usually round dances are performed to the song “The little Christmas tree is cold in winter” or “A Christmas tree was born in the forest.”

Game “What types of Christmas trees are there?”
The presenter (the Snow Maiden or Father Frost can act in his role) says:
- Look how elegant our Christmas tree is: all covered in beautiful toys and garlands. Guys, do you know where Christmas trees grow? Of course, in the forest! Christmas trees can be different: wide and thin, high and low.
Next, the presenter must explain the rules of the game:
- Guys, stand in a circle and take each other’s hands, and I will tell you what Christmas trees are like. If I say, “High,” you should raise your hands up, and if you hear, “Low,” you should sit down and lower your hands. If I mention wide Christmas trees, I need to make the circle wider. And if I say, “Thin,” you should make the circle narrower. Is everyone clear? One-two-three, let's start!

Music game
(to the tune of the song “Good Beetle” from the fairy tale film “Cinderella”)
1. Stand up, children, stand in a circle, stand in a circle, stand in a circle! Clap your hands without sparing your hands! Jump like bunnies: jump and jump, jump and jump! Now stomp, not sparing your feet!
2. Let’s grab our hands quickly, cheerfully, raise our hands up, and jump higher than everyone else! We will lower our hands down, stamp our right foot, stamp our left foot and turn our heads!
The game is repeated 2 more times.

Game "Dress up the Christmas tree"
Children are divided into two teams. Each has a box of Christmas tree decorations (preferably unbreakable). The essence of the game is that players must decorate an artificial Christmas tree, which stands at a distance from the teams. The child must take a toy from the box, run to the Christmas tree, hang the toy on it and return to his team. And so on until the last player. The team whose tree is decorated first wins.

Game "Cat and mouse"
Three players from the team are dressed up in cat costumes and given a stick with a long rope attached to it. A fake mouse is attached to the opposite end of the rope. Players, accompanied by cheerful music, wind a rope around a stick, and gradually the mouse approaches. The most agile cat, the one who managed to “catch” the mouse faster than the others, wins.

Game "Who's first?"
Agility competition. First, hang a winter jacket with the sleeves turned out on the backs of two chairs, and put a fur hat, scarf and a pair of mittens on the seats. During the competition, players must turn out the sleeves of their jackets to cheerful music, then put them on and the rest of their winter equipment (hat, scarf and mittens). The prize will be given to the one who is the first to take a seat in his chair and shout: “Happy New Year!”

New Year's competition “Mask, I know you!”
Of all the guys, you need to choose only one player. The presenter puts a mask on him. Moreover, the player should not see whose mask he is wearing. The rest see what kind of hero this is. The player wearing the mask must guess who is depicted on it. He asks questions to other children and gets hints from them. Questions can only be answered “yes” or “no”. The person who guesses it correctly is given a mask as a prize.

Competition "Tinsel"
Competition-competition for two teams. As a prop, the presenter gives each child tinsel. A New Year's song is playing, for example Jingle Bells. To the music, in each team the first participant ties his tinsel in a knot on the hand of the second participant, then the second - on the hand of the third, and so on. The last player runs to the first and ties tinsel to him - it turns out to be a circle. The winner is the team whose members completed the task before their opponents and raised their hands with tied tinsel.

Game "Doctor Aibolit"
It's a team game again. This time the players line up. Doctor Aibolit wants to know: did anyone have a fever during the New Year holiday? The fairy-tale hero places a large cardboard thermometer under the armpits of the first participants of both teams. At this time, cheerful music plays. The second players must take the thermometer and put it on themselves, then the third players take the thermometer from them, and so on until the last child in the line. In the same way, the thermometer moves in the reverse order: from the last players to the first. The team whose first player returns the thermometer to Dr. Aibolit the fastest wins.

Competition "Christmas tree toy"
In front of the two players, the presenter places a prize wrapped in bright wrapping paper on a chair and says the following text:
“At New Year's hour, friends,
You can't go without attention!
Don't skip the number "three"
Take the prize, don't yawn!

The Christmas tree greeted the guests.
Five children came first,
So as not to be bored on holiday,
Everyone began to count on it:
Two snowflakes, six firecrackers,
Eight gnomes and parsleys,
Seven gilded nuts
Among the twisted tinsel,
We counted ten cones,
And then you got tired of counting.
Three little girls came running..."
If the players missed the prize, the presenter takes it and says: “Where were your ears?” If one of the players turns out to be attentive, the presenter concludes: “Those are attentive ears!”

Game "New Year's Changelings"
Santa Claus says phrases, and children must answer “yes” or “no” in unison, regardless of the rhyme.

You friends came here to have fun?
Tell me a secret: were you waiting for Grandfather?
Will frosts and cold scare you?
Are you ready to dance by the Christmas tree sometimes?
A holiday is nonsense, let's get bored instead?
Santa Claus brought sweets, will you eat them?
Are you always ready to play with the Snow Maiden?
Can we easily push everyone around?
Grandfather never melts. Do you believe this?
Do you need to sing a verse in a round dance at the Christmas tree?

Competition “Make Nesmeyanu Laugh”
For the competition, you need to prepare the details in advance: funny masks, false noses, ears.
Princess Nesmeyana knows where the Snow Maiden is hidden, but cannot reveal the secret to the children, as she constantly cries. The contestants' task is to make her laugh with funny movements and dances. To complement a bright image, children can use funny props.

For children from 10 years old

New Year's Costume Competition
For this competition you will need the following props: paper (large enough - at least A4), tape, pins, scissors and glue.
In a certain time (say, 10 minutes) you need to come up with and make a New Year's costume. The task is complicated by the fact that it is necessary to have time not only to make an outfit, but also to present it to the public, tell what exactly it means and what it serves (for example, is it an evening outfit or a fancy dress). The jury evaluates the result with applause. The team that earns the loudest and longest standing ovation wins.

Competition "Ball with a surprise"
You need to write funny New Year's tasks on sheets of paper, place notes in balloons, and then inflate them. Each participant should be given a ball with a task. You have to burst it without using your hands. When the participant copes with this, he will need to complete the written task (for example, sing a song, dance the dance of little swans, etc.). The one who makes it the funniest will win.

Competition "New Year's Chain"
For this competition you should prepare A4 sheets, a glue stick and scissors. Two teams must take part. Within a certain time (5-7 minutes), participants must cut strips (3 cm wide and 12 cm long) and then connect them into a New Year's chain. The team that makes the longest chain wins.

  • 01 Remember that children switch their attention very quickly. Therefore, competitions should not be made too long.
  • 02 You should not hold several competitions at once. Dilute them with a dance program or concert numbers.
  • 03 Be sure to reward and encourage winners.
