To make such an “accessory” you will need a transparent glass vase, pine cones and acrylic paints (it is better to use gold or silver colors or add glitter for decoration). It's just a matter of small things - we paint the cones in the desired color, let the coating dry, and then put the silver-plated and multi-colored cones in a vase. The composition is ready!
2. Candlestick from the forest
An original craft for the New Year can be made from a small hemp or sawn tree. Having found the desired “blank”, it is necessary to pre-treat it with impregnation in order to avoid such issues as the appearance of rot and harmful insects.
Then, in the center of the stump or anywhere in the core (it all depends on your idea), drill a wide and shallow hole - so that a standard flat candle can easily fit into it. If you are intimidated by using a drill, you can use a regular knife. In this case, please note that the work will take a little longer.
After making a recess (of the desired size and shape), sand the edges and cutout with sandpaper. Now move on to the most creative and interesting stage - you need to paint the craft. However, you can leave the composition in its natural form: in this case, you just need to varnish the sections, and, remembering the approaching holiday, decorate the base of the candlestick with snowflakes, fluff, and tinsel. Another option: cover the “stump” with iridescent paint, decorate it with sparkles or small figures, and tie the edges of the candlestick with burlap, gold ribbons or painted rope.
3. Fairytale wreath
On New Year's Eve, you shouldn't limit yourself to just one Christmas tree in the house - from fluffy spruce and juniper branches you can make an original and very beautiful wreath that will decorate the front door or pleasantly diversify the interior of the living room. As a base, you can use thick cardboard or thin foam, onto which you need to apply glue and then attach “natural” parts. What’s nice is that there are many design options, as well as “source material”. You can use either natural spruce branches or dried tree branches, which can be covered with silver and attached with additional decorations, such as tiny stars or miniature bells. Large New Year's balls will also look impressive, which, if this does not contradict the whole idea, can be replaced with foil sequins.
4. Christmas balls made from twigs
The main element of this craft is ordinary pumpkin seeds! Take a blank of the desired shape and size and, armed with glue and a brush, carefully and leisurely glue the scales to the “ball”. Don't forget about the fastening - you can use the usual one for Christmas tree decorations or use a self-tapping screw, as you prefer. And finally, the most exciting thing - decorating the New Year's ball! You can safely involve your child in this stage: we are sure that he will like the process! Paints, glitter, sequins, tinsel and even iridescent buttons - you can use whatever is at hand for decoration.

The material for this craft can be “obtained” in the forest or even in the park. So, stock up on the bark of any tree (including fallen ones). After drying the “blank”, start building the Christmas tree. To do this, place a pencil or nail on the plasticine base. Next, place pieces of bark on the nail one by one, forming a Christmas tree: place large pieces lower, and attach smaller pieces on top. The final chord is to decorate the Christmas tree with tinsel and decorative snow.
