If you wind more threads, the product will be almost opaque, so you can put sweets or other small gifts inside. You will need the same materials, only for larger immersed elements you will need a “surprise loader” - a medium-diameter tube made of thick cardboard. If you manage to find one, then start making crafts:

  1. Prepare the adhesive and pull the thread through it.
  2. Pull a balloon onto one end of the tube and inflate it.

  5. Leave the finished product to dry in a warm room for 24 hours.
  6. Use a needle to pierce the rubber ball and pull it through the hole between the threads.

For DIY thread balls, you first need to inflate the balls. Inflate the balloons to the size you expect the string balls to be. Next, he ties the ponytail tightly so that they do not blow away while the threads dry, and this can happen when the ball is poorly tied. I just tie the ball tightly in a knot.


Pour some glue into a shallow container. Dip your fingers into the glue and spread it along the thread - 50 centimeters.
Then we begin to form our DIY thread ball, winding the thread around the ball.

! Do not wind the threads tightly to the “tail” of the ball, otherwise it will be difficult to remove the inflatable ball from the frozen thread frame.

There is no need to wind the thread tightly, otherwise the ball will be deformed and the shape will be distorted. The tension can be increased only in order to correct the shape of the ball and give it evenness in the right places, for example, where there is a bulge.
We wind the thread in glue around the ball in layers of 7-10, not very tightly.

! If, on the contrary, you make the density too small when winding the threads around the ball, then it may turn out to be too fragile.

Just pay attention that the needle should not be too small, otherwise the thread will not be well saturated, but it should not be too large so that the glue does not leak out through the hole. You can't go wrong with a needle that's a little thicker than the thread.

Now attach the thread to the ball and, holding its edge, begin to gradually wrap the ball in any direction, all the time pulling the thread soaked in glue. If it seems to you that the thread is dry, then while working, periodically lightly press the plastic bottle so that more comes out. glue. Continue wrapping the ball until there are no large holes left between the threads.

To allow the ball of thread to dry, leave it for several hours. If you are planning to do a few more similar balls, then it’s better not to take the thread out of the glue jar.

When you are sure that the balloon is dry, you can untie the balloon.

It will begin to deflate and move away from the walls of the thread ball on its own. Carefully remove it through the hole between the threads and, if it is not damaged, you can use it again.

  2. Take a tube of glue and use a hot needle to make two holes in it opposite each other. Thread a thread through the holes using a needle (when pulled through the tube, the thread will be smeared with glue). Instead of a bottle of glue, you can take a Kinder Surprise egg, or another small plastic bottle, for example, a medicine bottle or the same silicate glue, and pour the glue into it.

4. Secure the end of the thread soaked in glue to the ball (to secure the thread to the inflatable ball, you can use adhesive tape, tape, or protective tape). If the threads are thick, make fewer turns; if the threads are thin, wind them more tightly. 1. Peel the ball off the web using a pencil with an eraser at the end. Carefully pierce the ball with a needle in several places and remove it or what is left of it.

2. Untie the knot that tied the balloon and it will gradually deflate. This method is mainly practiced when, instead of a balloon, you used an inflatable ball as the basis for winding.

7. Glue the finished cobweb balls together with a hot gun, pressing the gluing area slightly inward. The balls can also be sewn together, but this is not easy, because the balls become very strong and hard when dry.

8. Decorate the resulting design with beads, beads, feathers, braid, ribbons, artificial flowers, or any other materials at hand. Cover with paint. To do this, take a can of paint and go out onto the balcony or into the yard. With a slight movement of your hand, direct the colorful streams towards the balls awaiting a miraculous transformation.
