If you are a legal entity, then there are separate rules for purchasing gift cards for you. Payment for gift cards is carried out by bank transfer to the Seller's bank account.

On the day when the money is credited to the Seller's account, all ordered cards are activated. Then you can get a card, and a consignment note, indicating all the parameters for buying plastic.

The cards are not registered, i.e. You can transfer them to anyone. The Company warns that if you give the card to a third party, then explain to him all the rules of use, otherwise the Seller is not responsible for the actions of the "uninitiated" client.

The expiration date of the "Read the City" gift card is one year from the date of activation. It is indicated in the cashier's receipt of the purchase of the card. If the service life has expired, the card is blocked and it will no longer be possible to use it.

In case of loss, damage or theft - cards are not restored. If the card is damaged, then the release of goods on it is possible only if a barcode is read from it, and it will be identified as belonging to the Read City or New Book network.

The purchase of a Gift Card indicates the conclusion of an agreement between the Seller and the Gift Card Holder on the terms set forth in these Rules, according to which the Holder of an activated Gift Card has the right to demand, and the Seller undertakes to provide goods within the nominal value of the Gift Card from the Seller's assortment available at the time of application .

No documents are required to activate and use the Gift Card. The Gift Card is activated by the Seller at the moment when the Buyer deposits funds equal to the face value of the Gift Card to the Seller's cash desk. If the Purchaser of the Gift Card is a legal entity, payment is made by non-cash transfer of funds to the Seller's settlement account. The Gift Card is activated by the Seller on the day of receipt of the full amount of payment to the Seller's settlement account. Activated Gift Cards can be transferred to any third parties by the Holder at his own discretion. When transferring Gift Cards to third parties (new holders), the Holder is obliged to inform them about these Rules; in case of violation of this rule, the Seller is not responsible.
Any Holder of an activated Gift Card who presents it to the Seller is considered to be its rightful owner. The Seller is not entitled to demand a cash receipt when using the Gift Card. The Seller shall not be liable in case of use of the Gift Card by a person who unlawfully took possession of it.
The use of the Gift Card is possible immediately after activation. During the entire validity period, the Gift Card remains the property of the Seller. When purchasing goods using a Gift Card, the latter is withdrawn from the Holder by the Seller. The Goods are provided only to the Holder of an activated Gift Card. Presenting a cash receipt confirming the purchase of a Gift Card without presenting the Gift Card itself does not give the person presenting such a receipt the right to require the Seller to provide him with goods for the amount indicated in the receipt.
It is possible to purchase goods using several gift cards at the same time. In this case, their denominations are summed up.
One Gift Card can be used only when making one purchase of goods for the amount of its face value.
The purchase of the Gift Card, as well as the purchase of goods using the Gift Card, are not subject to discounts on discount cards "New Book" and "Read-city", as well as discounts on promotions held by the Seller.
If the amount of the goods selected and purchased by the Holder using the Gift Card is less than its face value, the face value is written off in full, the difference is not paid.
If the value of the goods selected by the Gift Card Holder exceeds its face value, the Holder shall pay the difference in the value of the goods in cash or by bank transfer.
The validity of the Gift Card is limited and is 1 (One) year from the date of its activation. The date of commencement of the validity of the Gift Card is confirmed by a cash receipt. After the expiration date, the Gift Card is blocked without the possibility of its further use. You can check the validity period of the activated Gift Card at the checkout of any store of the New Book and Chitay-Gorod chain stores. Interest on the nominal amount is not charged.
Return and exchange of Gift Cards for cash is prohibited. The gift card is not a means of payment or a security.
In the event of loss or theft, Gift Cards are non-refundable. If damaged, Gift Cards will not be replaced. In case of damage, Gift Cards can be used when purchasing goods only if the activated Gift Card can be identified as issued in the New Book and Chitay-Gorod stores and the barcode can be read from it.
When using the Gift Card to purchase the selected product, the Holder receives a cash receipt confirming the fact of payment for the goods using the Gift Card. In the event that an additional payment was made for the cost of the goods, a single cash receipt is issued for the entire amount of the purchased goods, containing information on transactions using Gift Cards and the amount of the additional payment.
Exchange and return substandard goods, purchased using Gift Cards, is carried out only in the store that released the goods, in the general manner provided for by the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
Novyi Knizhniy and Chitai-Gorod stores are not required to have in their assortment goods equal in value to the value of the Gift Cards.
The Seller has the right to withdraw the Gift Card from the Holder, if it is not activated and the Holder does not have a cashier's receipt/Acceptance Certificate confirming the fact of purchasing this Gift Card.
If, for technical reasons, operations with Gift cards are impossible, the shops "New Book" and "Chitay-Gorod" reserve the right to refuse the client to carry out the operation until the causes are eliminated.
