Any restless person will love this cute fox and will definitely become his favorite toy. And doing it will be very interesting for any adult, especially if a step-by-step master class will help with this.

Materials:

  1. Sample;
  2. Felt: orange, white, black;
  3. Synthetic fluff;
  4. Fabric and erasable markers;
  5. Stuffing stick;
  6. Ruler, scissors, needle, felt-colored threads, fabric glue;
  7. Blush/art pastel for cheeks;
  8. Satin ribbon for bow.

Progress:

Stage 1

Cut out all the necessary elements according to the template. Repeating elements must be symmetrical. We glue all the small felt parts to the large ones with glue, or we baste them with a contrasting thread. It is important that all repeating elements are at the same distance from the edges of large parts. This is necessary so that the toy looks neat.

Stage 2

We begin to sew small details with a single white thread, performing vertical stitches.

Then you can begin to connect the front and back parts of the toy together, starting with the ears. Using a needle with a single red thread, we begin to make stitches (the first one is from the inside out), bringing the game back and inserting it into the same place as the first time, thus making a neat loop around the two elements of the future ear of the toy. The needle is inserted into the loop and then tightened.

Now we make the next stitch at an equal distance from the edge of the fabric, creating another loop. We insert the needle into it again, tighten the thread, thus obtaining overlock stitch. We sew the entire eyelet with this seam, and the last seam must be inserted into the first. To make it easier for novice craftsmen to understand, it is better to look at step-by-step photographs.

We perform the same manipulations with the second ear, after which we sweep the finished ears to the front of the head of the future felt fox.

Stage 3

Draw eyes and a mouth on the white muzzle. We begin to carefully embroider the eyes from the inside with double black thread, moving to the front. The first stitch is made in such a way that the needle returns to the very beginning, after which the stitch is tightened. All subsequent stitches are made in the same way, the main thing is that the forming loop is always on top - above the thread and needle. At the end you can make an eyelash. The second eye and mouth are embroidered using the same principle. Already at this stage you can draw the fox’s cheeks.

Stage 4

Time to sew together the large parts of the head. First, it is better to baste the front and back of the toy’s head with a contrasting thread. After this, you can begin covering with an overlock stitch. As before, we will need an orange single thread. When the seams reach the ear, it is necessary to insert the needle and thread onto the back side so that the distance to the edge on both the front and back sides is the same (the needle must pass through the ear inside).

We insert the needle directly into the eye - into the place directly above the point where the needle and thread came out. From the front, the needle will also eventually come out in the eye directly above its original location. Insert a needle into the resulting loop and tighten. You will get a seam like this, which should look like an overcast stitch. We cover the entire muzzle, leaving room for stuffing.

Stage 5

It's time to stuff the top of this cute felt toy. In this case, a sushi stick, a pencil or a special device will be useful. You need to stuff the head of the toy evenly, not too tightly, giving it a soft volume.

Stage 6

The next step is to create a ponytail. First, you need to sew a black tassel to the end of the ponytail with a single black thread, without sewing the sides of the end of the ponytail, but only sewing a “zigzag”. After this, the front and back parts of the ponytail are sewn to each other using the already familiar overlock stitch with orange thread.

The place of the black tip is stitched from the inside, since the black tip will need to be stitched on top with black thread, using the same method as when covering the rest of the felt toy. The opposite end of the tail remains open - it is needed for stuffing with synthetic fluff. After the tail is evenly padded, it is sewn to the body parts using contrasting thread.

Stage 7

Then the back and front parts of the body are sewn to each other using an overlock stitch, leaving the neck area open. We distribute the padding evenly over the body, after which the hole is sewn up with an overcast stitch.

Stage 8

Now that the two main parts of the felt toy are completely ready, they need to be sewn together. To sew them to each other neatly and beautifully, you can line up the depression on the chanterelle’s chest - the animal’s nose and mouth should be located right above it.

Now, using a needle with a double orange thread, we begin to sew the parts together. First you need to insert a needle into the lower part of the head, 3-4 mm from the edge, as in the photo, approximately at the level of the middle of the eye. The needle is then passed through the edge of the body - at the same distance - resulting in a hidden seam. It is necessary to stitch the head and body to the opposite end of the neck, tightening the seams tightly. This is how the front front part is stitched.

To securely fasten both parts, you need to stitch them again, but in a more careful way. Now that the needle is on the opposite edge of the neck, you need to stitch the back of the head. However, you first need to pierce the body from the front side, and only after that remove the needle from the back of the head. We continue stitching according to this pattern so that the threads are not visible at all (see photo). The little felt fox is ready!

  • Cheerful owl

Very popular toys made from felt are cute fairy-tale owls - they are not difficult to make, and in the process you can even change some elements of the product to your own discretion and taste. The result will delight not only children, but also adults. Let's try to make a soft felt toy, which will be decorated with a floral motif from small pieces of fabric.

Materials:

  1. Sample;
  2. Felt: pink, brown, gray;
  3. A piece of colored fabric for the belly and wings;
  4. Filler, like padding polyester;
  5. Scissors, pins, needle, threads.

Templates for work:

Progress:

Stage 1

Cut out the paper pattern elements from the printed template. We attach them with pins to the felt material and cut them into shape, after which we remove the pins.

Advice! Use a hand stitch “forward needle” to sew the parts together, making the same neat stitches and skips.

We sew the colored fabric onto the felt blanks for future wings forward with a needle. The knot can be hidden between the fabric and felt. To keep the fabric in one place during the creation of the toy, it is better to secure it with a pin.

Stage 2

In order for the owl to turn out as planned, you need to place the parts according to the template. We attach the gray oval eyes to the future body of the owl with pins, and then sew them on. The distance between the eyes and from the edges of the body should be 0.5 cm. After this, we finalize the eyes - we sew on two other parts.

We also sew two brown triangles onto the ears.

We attach a colored belly to the owl, and sew on the beak and paws on top. The back of the owl's body should be replenished with a tail, according to the template.

Advice! Children who want to help make a toy can glue pieces of multi-colored material, after which the needlewoman can sew them on with even, beautiful stitches.

Stage 3

The front and back parts of the body are applied to each other. Between them, according to the diagram, ready-made wings are inserted, all this is secured with pins. We begin to sew the toy from the bottom of the right wing, passing in a circle to the bottom of the left wing. The remaining space is used for stuffing.

We fill the toy with padding polyester, but not to capacity! It is important that the design and seams are not distorted at the end of the work. The hole is sewn up, the pins are removed from the wings. The felt toy is ready. To avoid difficulties in the process, you can see step-by-step photos.

  • Peppa Pig on magnets

Many children are very fond of the character from the cartoon of the same name, so you can please the kids with a felt miniature pig. If you wish, you can insert magnets inside, or you can ignore this point and create a simple toy - it will not harm even the little ones.

Materials:

  1. Sample;
  2. Felt: red, light pink, dark pink, black, white;
  3. Two beads;
  4. Filling: padding polyester or holofiber;
  5. Pencil or disappearing marker;
  6. Neodymium magnets - optional.

Templates for work:

Progress:

Stage 1

You need to print out the template, cut out the pattern of all the parts of the future toy from felt. We transfer the outline of the paper models onto the material using a pencil or felt-tip pen, and cut out parts from felt.

Stage 2

We cut out pockets for magnets and sew them to the inside of the back of the pig’s body and head, insert 1 cm magnets there and sew up the holes.

Stage 3

We sew a nose, a bright pink cheek, eyes to the face, and then use thread to mark the toy’s mouth.

We put both parts of the body together, put the legs, tail, arms in the middle, sew them together, leaving a hole in the neck area. We send a small amount of padding polyester there, after which we sew up the hole.

Then we overlap the head onto the dress, leaving a small hole for the padding polyester. Having stuffed it too, we sew up the last hole. The felt toy is ready! Thanks to step-by-step photos, the process of creating Peppa will go much faster.

Patterns and templates of New Year's toys

It would be a great idea to create felt toys for the Christmas tree, because the result will be voluminous, bright crafts that both adults and children will be delighted with. Deer, Christmas trees, candies and garlands - all this can be used to decorate the main holiday of the year, thanks to thin felt material and a little effort. Moreover, many New Year's decorations made of felt can be made quickly and well even by novice admirers of this art. Let's look at how to make New Year's toys from felt with your own hands - patterns and photographs will help with this.

  • New Year's deer

Cute animal toys on a Christmas tree or in a little hand are always a good idea. Therefore, you can sew a beautiful deer with love, and thereby please yourself and your loved ones. This is not difficult to do - you just need to follow the scheme, and everything will definitely work out.

Materials:

  1. Sample;
  2. Felt: brown, red;
  3. Filling: synthetic fluff or holofiber;
  4. A button or bead for the nose, as well as beads for the eyes;
  5. Stuffing stick;
  6. Scissors, needle, felt-colored threads, fabric glue;
  7. Self-disappearing marker;
  8. Satin or grosgrain ribbon for bow;
  9. Ribbon pendant.

Template for work:

Progress:

We cut out the printed template from paper, apply it to the fabric, attach it with pins and transfer the design onto a sheet of felt using a marker. We repeat the procedure for the second half of the future toy.

We sew an “identification mark” onto the front part - a decorative little thing, like a heart, a snowflake, a bow - whatever.

We sew both parts of the toy together using a simple buttonhole stitch. When the sewing reaches the neck, you can immediately sew a ribbon pendant and a festive ribbon onto the neck.

When it remains to sew up the tummy, first fill the toy with filler, distributing it evenly. Then we stitch the hole. You can sew a funny pompom in place of the ponytail.

All that remains is to decorate the muzzle: sew on a button-nose and beads-eyes.

  • Christmas stars

From a simple material of the most ordinary form you can get an original product with a certain mood. Let's try to do this by making a few festive stars that will transform even the most modest little Christmas tree.

Materials:

  1. Sample;
  2. Felt of any colors suitable for the Christmas tree style;
  3. Beads, beads;
  4. Filling: padding polyester, padding polyester or holofiber;
  5. Scissors, pins, needle, threads;
  6. Pencil.

Progress:

Stage 1

Draw a star on paper measuring 8 cm across. Cut out this simple star template from paper. The template is outlined on felt with a pencil or marker. It is important that all the stars are the same. The stars are cut out of the material and connected in two pieces with a pin.

Stage 2

We sew the two parts of the star into one, leaving a little space for stuffing. Fill it evenly, then sew up the last hole.

Stage 3

Sew beads to the stars. For convenience, you can do this before both parts of the star are sewn together - if desired.

Stage 4

We thread a woolen thread into one end of the star, using which you can hang the finished felt product on the Christmas tree. The simplest and very cute New Year's toy made of felt is ready.

  • Garland-pigtail

Another beautiful and simple felt “toy” that will definitely change the mood of all the inhabitants of the house for the better is a two-color braided garland. This type of decoration is easy to make, and most importantly, you don’t need to waste time filling the toy and sewing around the edges

Materials:

  1. Felt of any holiday colors;
  2. Scissors, stationery knife;
  3. Needle, thread, pins;
  4. Pencil.

Progress:

We cut out strips of the same size from two sheets of felt of different colors (length 25 cm, width as desired). We fasten two multi-colored strips together with pins at the top and bottom.

Then, in the middle of the double strip, two cuts are made with a stationery knife (as in the photo). After this, we make a “pigtail” pattern: we thread the end of the double strip closest to it into the upper slit, and then the strip is threaded into the second slit.

Now you can make a garland from several ready-made “braids” by sewing them all together. Or you can leave it short and hang it around the house.

Educational for children

Educational toys made of felt are a very popular trend, since even novice craftsmen and needlewomen can sew such products on their own, and there are many options for such toys - for a wide variety of ages and interests of children. Patterns will help you make educational and educational toys from felt.

Do-it-yourself educational felt toys are made according to the same principle as other types of felt products. Here are some photo ideas with useful development tools.

  • Felt puzzles “In the animal world”

Bright two-piece puzzles with cute animal faces are sure to attract a child. This way you can start teaching your child in a playful way. Let's take a closer look at how to make such an educational game out of felt with your own hands.

Progress:

Stage 1

On a sheet of paper, mark 12x12 cm squares using a ruler and pencil. The result should be 10 squares. Then we print out animal patterns and cut them out on paper.

Stage 2

We trace the animal patterns, pre-attached to the material with a pin, on brightly colored felt. Muzzles and paws are made in two copies, the second copy will “mirror” the first. We cut out all the outlined parts with scissors or a stationery knife. This creates a ready-made basis for creative work.

Stage 3

Our patterns with rectangles can be turned into puzzle patterns by drawing something like a “castle” in the middle. Now you can cut out one of the shaped halves and attach it to the rectangle, trace it and cut it out. We do the same with another bright rectangle, which is intended for the back of the puzzle.

Stage 4

After this, we select one of the animal blanks, apply it to the front double part of the future puzzle, and select the most suitable place for the animal. Sew the top piece to one of the front halves of the puzzle using simple stitches. It is important to first make an indent from the edge of the background of the puzzle, leaving space for connecting stitches between the bases.

Stage 5

Now the half of the puzzle with the animal is turned over in order to cut off the desired half of the animal along its contour. We attach part of the body to the bottom base of the puzzle and sew it in accordance with the edges of the contours. At this stage, the animal needs to sew on light details of the muzzle and body, which are cut off according to the same principle as the body.

Stage 6

We sew the front and back parts of the puzzle together using regular stitches, hiding the knot between the pieces. We sew on the animal’s nose and paws, glue on eyes or sew on beads. We use the same principle with all other puzzles.

A wonderful game for kids that teaches the colors of animals, and it will also help them look at the big world with little eyes in a creative way. Making it couldn't be easier: the game doesn't require much skill or artistic education—the simpler the better. This felt toy is suitable for babies over one year old.

Progress:

Stage 1

You need to take six single-color sheets of felt of the same size, first draw 6 simple animal figures on paper, cut them out and transfer them to felt with a pencil. Then you need to cut out these ovals and primitive images of animals with a stationery knife.

Stage 2

Next, we should cut out several triangles, ovals and circles from bright felt sheets for the ears and heads of our future animals. You can buy eyes in special stores, or you can also cut out circles or beads. All this needs to be glued to large sheets of felt, or sewn by hand (for small children it is better to choose the option of sewing by hand, because they put everything in their mouth).

Stage 3

Now we need to take care of making “fur coats” for our home zoo. Here it is better to use bright, interesting felt colors to attract the baby’s attention with them. You will only have to work on four coats: a zebra, a cow, a fish and a giraffe. We cut out simple stripes or spots for our fur coats and sew them to the background sheets of felt.

Adults sometimes believe in New Year's magic even more than children, so they try to create a miracle by any means. Some people compose fairy tales, some actively participate in theatrical performances, and others try to create a fairy tale with their own hands.

Let's try to create a little magic together. Let's make Santa's little helpers - elves. These heroes are a fabulous symbol of Christmas. And if you combine a little perseverance, a little skill, a bit of craftsmanship, a little patience and easily accessible material, then in an hour or two you can make amazing little elves who will be able to decorate the interior of your home during the holidays for many years.

Material for making crafts:

green and red felt; sewing threads in green, white and red; padding polyester or other filler; cardboard for patterns; needle; scissors.

Stages of making crafts

1. First, let's make a paper pattern. You can strictly adhere to all sizes, or you can make a template at your discretion. On paper we get three separate elements: head, torso and legs.

2. Transfer the body to red felt and prepare 2 identical parts. The head and legs have a shaded extension like seam allowances. You need to cut them together. From green felt we cut out the head and legs, 2 pieces of each.

3. Using green thread, we connect the parts of the legs with an overlock stitch, leaving a hole in the upper part for stuffing with padding polyester. We do the same with the leg parts.

4. Fill some padding polyester into the left holes.

5. Now you need to sew the parts of the body with red thread.
First, let's look at where the parts should be. This is where you need to apply it correctly so that the areas shaded on the sheet of paper are inside the craft. Cover with the second piece. We start with the elf's shoulder. We sew in the elongated part of the head, move to the second arm, then reach the bottom. We also carefully sew in the legs.

6. Now we insert the padding polyester into the side hole on the body and sew it to the end.

7. Using red thread, we run a quilted seam along the cap, outlining the contours and bend of the cap. From padding polyester we form 2 identical beards. We attach them to the head with a white thread.

8. Such small felt toys are suitable for decorating the interior and Christmas tree. Therefore, it is better to make several of them; you can even make variations using other colors of felt.

9. Little elves are ready! Having decorated your home with such wonderful crafts, the holiday feeling will only increase.
