KNITTING DENSITY

26 p. x 35 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with an openwork pattern on knitting needles No. 3.5;
28 p. x 39 r. = 10 x 10 knitted in stockinette stitch on needles No. 3.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

On stocking needles No. 3.5 for each golf course, cast on 84 sts (= 21 sts on each knitting needle). Next, knit with an openwork pattern in circular rows, starting at arrow A, while for sizes 1 and 2, decrease as indicated in the 32nd, 64th, 96th, 128th and 160th rows; for size 3 in 32, 64, 96 and 128 rows knit according to the pattern = 54 (54) 60 p.

Simultaneously through 8 rapports = 128 rubles. switch to needles No. 3.

After about 50 cm = 192 r. from the initial row, distribute the loops once again evenly on the knitting needles as follows: 1st knitting needle = 13 (14) 15 sts, 2nd knitting needle = 14 (13) 15 sts, 3rd knitting needle = 14 (13) 15 sts ., 4th needle = 13 (14) 15 sts. Leave loops of 2nd and 3rd needles.

HEEL-BOOMERANG

Loops of the 1st and 4th needles = 26 (28) 30 sts. Distribute into 3 parts = 9 – 8 – 9 (9 – 10 – 9) 10 – 10 – 10. Knit along these loops in short rows in stockinette stitch as follows :
1st r. (= knit row): knit all stitches, including the last stitch of the 1st needle, turn.
2nd r. (= purl row): 1 double stitch, remaining stitches on 1st needle and all stitches on 4th needle, purl, turn.
3rd row: 1 double stitch, then all remaining stitches on the 4th and 1st needles until the double stitch at the end of the row. knit knit, leave double stitch unknitted, turn.
4th row: 1 double stitch and knit again until double stitch, turn.

Repeat the 3rd and 4th rows. until the last double stitches began to be knitted with the outer loops of the middle third of the heels. Now knit in all stitches, including the left stitches, in stockinette stitch, in the 1st round. R. For double loops, grab both walls at the same time and knit like 1 person.

After this, leave the loops of the 2nd and 3rd knitting needles again, and then knit along the loops of the 1st and 4th knitting needles in shortened rows as follows:

Knitting knee socks for beginners

With the onset of winter and real cold, many people quickly begin to insulate themselves. Thick jackets, knitted hats, scarves and, of course, knee socks are used. After all, it is winter knee socks that do the best job of protecting women’s legs from the cold. Especially if their owner wore a short skirt instead of jeans or tight trousers.

In this step-by-step knitting master class, we will look at the question of how to knit a gorgeous fashionable model of women's knee socks. The model will appeal not only to experienced people, but also to beginners in this business, who for the first time decided to try their hand at this important task like knitting warm knee socks.

In winter and early autumn, everything outside quickly freezes. Therefore, all fashionistas need to warm themselves, while abandoning beautiful shorts and fashionable skirts. If in cold times you do not intend to give up minis, you need to make bright knitted knee socks or children's socks. They will not only keep you warm during the cold season, but will also complement your style, making it more interesting, unusual and vibrant!

Knitting such an original model of women's knee socks is quite simple. Even beginners in knitting will be able to do this task!

For work and knitting, you will need:

  • Thick yarn made from wool or cotton.
  • Five pieces of knitting needles.
  • Sharp scissors.
  • Hook
  • Two schemes to work with.

Before you begin the manufacturing process of this product as described make a small sample to determine the knitting density. This will make the work process much easier for beginners.

Abbreviations used in the master class

To better understand the description of the master class, need to learn basic abbreviations.

  • P. is a loop.
  • Face is the front side.
  • The inside is the wrong side.
  • R. - row.
  • Edge - edge loop.

Let's start our detailed master class with a complete description of all actions and steps. For knitting we will use a pattern called “Speck”. It consists only of persons, p. To create a great piece that fits your feet, you first need to take measurements. It is necessary to measure the distance from the heel to the end of the shin, the length from the heel to the top of the fold and the width of your shin. The number of loops will depend on these measurements. But, it must be divided by four, since we will create knee socks on four knitting needles.

Description of the work process step by step with photos

In this detailed master class, we will cast on exactly 80 stitches onto the knitting needles. This number of loops must be distributed over four working knitting needles, so that each has twenty pieces. We cast on loops based on the measurements taken!

First we work according to the first scheme. We knit, depending on the size of the shin. Having reached the part where the product narrows, that is, knitting about ten centimeters.

According to the diagram, we remove the loops. Having completed the narrowing point, we knit again, using the pattern for beginners. Having completed the product to the heel, put the second and third knitting needles aside. We continue the process of the first and fourth.

We achieve the required height for the heel. We combine all the knitting needles. The most important thing you need to know is that the heel of knee socks wears out twice as fast as other areas of the product. Therefore it needs to be compacted. To do this, you need to make a heel according to the following pattern: chrome. remove the stitch, make one knit stitch and remove one loop, knit one and so on until the end of the row.

We knit a new row, that is, the wrong side of the item according to the description. n. We do not remove the loops. Using this easy description for beginners, we do the entire height of the heel. That is, about four or seven centimeters.

At this stage of the master class we need to divide all the loops between three knitting needles. If you can’t divide by three, drag a little more stitches onto the middle needle. We start knitting stitches from the center and one side. We make the final loop together with 1 stitch on the second side. We turn the thing over and continue working using the same scheme.

Gradually, the shape of the knitted heel will look like a voluminous box. According to the description, we decrease stitches until the loops on the side knitting needles run out. Once the heel is completed we will move on to creating the outsole.

On the side of women's socks we make additional loops from edge loops. When creating the upper side loops, we make decreases according to the second pattern. According to the same scheme, it is necessary to make part of the product up to the little finger. After this, the loops are closed: two pieces in each row.

To strengthen the finger part, it must be tied using the facial method. To prevent knitted knee socks from falling off while wearing, you need to tighten the elastic band with a hook.

Knitted knee socks are completed!

How to knit openwork knee socks?

Materials required for work:

  • One hundred grams of cotton or acrylic yarn.
  • Knitting needles number three.
  • Set of double needles with number two.

Size 37-38 Knitting density: 20 p. x 31 r. = 10 x 10 cm

Description of work:

We start knitting with thicker knitting needles. Let's cast on 64 stitches and knit in a four cm circle with a 2 x 2 elastic band.

Then we move on to the main openwork pattern: about thirty cm from the first row, we transfer the knitting to four stocking needles No. 2 - 16 loops each. Now our product will become twice as narrow at the ankle. Having thus made fourteen rows, we begin to create the heel.

Leave half the stitches for a while and continue to work in stockinette stitch and on stitches with the first and fourth needles. Then you need to knit twenty rows in stockinette stitch. In the new row we sharply reduce the heel loops. To do this, we divide the loops into three pieces (32 = 11+10+11): the side parts are eleven loops each, the center is ten loops each. We create loops in the center, and slowly decrease the loops on the side.

We complete each row by knitting together the final center loop (10th) and the first side loop. When there are ten pieces on the knitting needle, we complete the creation of the heel. On the knitting needle, where we have ten pieces, we cast on ten more edge loops. After this, we knit loops in an openwork pattern on the removed 2nd and 3rd knitting needles. Next, we pull out the edge loops along the second edge of the heel onto the knitting needle. We place the loops on four knitting needles. We continue to work on four knitting needles.

Having reached the little finger, we begin to create decreases in every second row. To do this, on the 2nd and 4th knitting needles at the beginning of the row we make two loops together, and on the first and third needles we create broaches at the end of the row. When there are five loops left on all knitting needles, we create decreases in each row. And after a few rows we close and sew the last loops. (= 20 stitches on each needle). Knit 5 cm with an elastic band.

The upper part of the golf is knitted in stockinette stitch in circular rows.

After 40 laps. from the elastic on the last 9 sts of the 2nd knitting needle and the first 10 sts of the 3rd knitting needle, knit the 1st motif “Star” (= 30 rounds), then continue the work again with stockinette stitch on all loops.

After 20 laps. knit the 2nd motif “Star” and after it perform 20 rounds. in the front stitch, while in the 1st round, evenly distributed, subtract 8 stitches, for this, knit 2 stitches together on each needle in the middle and at the end = 72 stitches. Knit the 3rd motif as described higher, and perform another 20 laps. with the front stitch, while in the 1st round. also subtract 8 sts = 64 sts. 48 cm = 190 rounds are knitted from the elastic.

Leave the loops of the 2nd and 3rd knitting needles temporarily, and perform a boomerang heel at 32 sts of the 1st and 4th knitting needles.

Finish with stockinette stitch on all stitches of the foot to a length of 19 (20.5) cm.

Then make the toe “corner”.

Decorate the top two stars with rhinestones, attaching a rhinestone at the ends of the rays and in the inner corners.

Glue the rivets under the elastic and above the heel, as in the photo, or at random.

Knit the second golf in the same way.

The knee socks are knitted according to the principle of a sock, but the leg is knitted longer.

The ankle is the height of the golf from the heel and above, approximately to the middle of the calf.

This article provides a description of knitting golf for foot sizes 37 - 39. Take into account the volume of the foot. To do this, measure the width of the calf at its most protruding point with a tape. In my case, the calf circumference is 31 cm. If your volume is plus or minus 5 cm, then feel free to knit according to my calculations. If not, then increase or decrease the loops when casting on. Remember that the total number of loops must be divisible by 4.

In knitting, calculations are always of great importance. It’s better to calculate everything before casting on the loops, so that you don’t have to unravel the product later. If you knit paired items: socks, knee socks, mittens, etc., then calculating the stitches is doubly important.

Knitting socks and golf is usually done on stocking needles. These are 5 knitting needles with pointed ends. Each knitting needle has a length of 15 - 20 centimeters.

Knitting begins from the leg, that is, from the top of the golf. And it ends with a cape.

You can adjust the length of the leg yourself by simply knitting more or fewer rows.

Considering that the diagram is given for beginner needlewomen, I took facial loops as a basis. This is the simplest knitting pattern.

The article describes how to knit one knee-high, you will knit the second one in the same way. If possible, knit two at once. Keep in mind that the knitting needles must be the same size, or preferably from the same brand.

The calculation of loops is given specifically for a given yarn and a given knitting needle size. Taking into account the fact that each needlewoman knits with her own density, the knee socks will still be approximately the same for everyone.

You will need:

  • Double needles No. 2.5
  • Yarn Regia “Trend Shine” 100 g. Composition: 75 merino wool, 25% polyamide. Footage: 420 m
  • Hook for securing threads
  • Knitting marker or small pin

Always pay attention to the yarn label. The necessary parameters are indicated there: the size of the knitting needles or hook that is suitable for this particular thread, the washing temperature at which the product can be washed. This yarn is designed specifically for knitting socks and golf. On the label we see that from one skein you can knit a pair of size 46 socks.

Heel height

The heel is knitted in several stages:

  1. Heel height. This is the length from the protruding bone to the foot. Everyone has their own height, it differs for men, women and children. Knitted on two lower needles.
  2. The heel itself. There are many types of knitting golf heels and toes: horseshoe heel, classic, boomerang, etc. Knitted on two needles after heel height.
  3. Lifting wedge. This is a knitting connection between the heel stitches and the top stitches. Knitted on 4 needles.

The heel is knitted on two lower needles. To determine which needles are the bottom ones, you need to have the tip of the set of stitches pointing inside the leg. Thus, for a left-handed golf course, the tip will be on the right, and for a right-handed golf course, the tip will be on the left. After finishing knitting, we will hide the ends using a hook on the wrong side of the golf. So that they are not visible, we leave the tips on the inside.

We start knitting the heel height for the right sock from the front side. For the left - with the wrong side.

For convenience, in the first row we will transfer the loops from two knitting needles to one. The upper knitting needles are not involved in heel knitting.

14 + 14 = 28 heel loops. We knit from the front side, and from the wrong side - knit.

Total you need to knit 29 rows. Finish with a purl row. At the same time, remove the first edge without knitting, and always purl the last one. Then knit a row of knit stitches on the front side and a row of purl stitches on the wrong side.

Horseshoe heel

Anatomically, every person's heel is convex. We need to repeat the same shape when knitting the golf. To do this, divide the heel loops into three parts: 9/ 10/ 9 . The central part will consist of 10 loops, the side parts - 9 loops each.

We start knitting the horseshoe heel from the front side. We knit with facial loops, without finishing 11 loops.

Remove one loop without knitting,

1 - front;

make a broach: pull the knitted loop through the removed

Another front one.

Thus, one side part of the horseshoe heel was reduced by 1 loop.

Turn the knitting to the wrong side. We knit with purl loops, leaving 11 loops.

Then we knit two loops together purlwise

and another purl one.

The second side part now also consists of 8 loops.

Unfold the knitting to the front side. We can clearly see that the knitting is divided into three parts. It is necessary to transfer all the loops from the side parts to the central one.

Now on the front side we will knit as follows: remove the loop before the break, knit the loop after the break and make a broach (pull the knitted loop through the removed one) + another knit from the side.

Unroll the knitting and knit with purl stitches. We knit the loop before and after the break together purl + 1 purl.

Repeat the same on the front and back sides until all the loops from the side parts move to the central one.

You should still have 18 loops. Knitting ends on the wrong side.

We turn it to the front and knit 9 loops on one knitting needle and 9 loops on the other with facial loops.

Knitting has returned to 4 needles.

Lifting wedge

Now you need to fasten the upper and lower parts of the golf and continue knitting. To do this, use heel height edge loops on both sides. We have the working thread after knitting 9 heel loops, with the help of it we cast on 15 loops from the “braids” (edge loops) of the heel height. You can see how to do this.

Thus, on the upper knitting needles we have 14 loops, on the lower knitting needles: 9 + 15 = 24 loops.

We will decrease the instep wedge on both sides until there are 14 stitches left on all knitting needles.

We make decreases in each row.

When there are three loops left on each knitting needle, cut the thread, leaving 15 - 20 cm, (thread the thread through each remaining loop) and fasten the thread to the wrong side of the golf, pulling it tightly.

Also fasten the thread from the set of loops to the wrong side.

Washing and caring for the product

Let's go back to the label again and see what it says there. The finished knitted product can be washed at 40 degrees. I washed the socks in the washing machine at this temperature on a gentle cycle. They have not settled or shed. But hand washing is preferable.

This article provides the simplest description for beginner knitters. Pay attention to the underlined phrases - these are links, following which you will be taken to a step-by-step description of each stage of knitting with a video.

If you still have any questions, you can ask them in the comments under this article.

The yarn chosen for these socks is made in Germany. You can rarely find it in chain stores, but you can order it online. The cost of one skein is 600 - 700 rubles.

If you want to knit your first socks, based on the description presented above, then I advise you to knit two socks at once. To do this, buy two pairs of identical 2.5 mm knitting needles. Cast on stitches on some needles from the beginning of the skein, and on others from the end. Knit in parallel. That is, if you tied an elastic band for one golf course, immediately tie it for the second one. This will make it easier to navigate and you won’t be mistaken in the rows.

By the way, special row counters are now being sold. You can buy one for yourself, especially since it costs no more than a hundred rubles.

Every girl wore knee socks during her school years, and the more beautiful they were, the more elegant the little first-grader looked. The styles and colors were very diverse; they preferred openwork and elastic ones, with lace and charming pompoms. The most beloved were white knee socks, they never went out of fashion, they were worn by all generations in the family: grandmothers, mothers, and little granddaughters.

Women's knee socks, knitted with knitting needles, can be classified as a product of high complexity. For this homemade craft you need:

  • choose patterns and calculate patterns in order to associate high socks with all increases and decreases without errors;
  • openwork motifs should be made in the round or on five thin knitting needles, the fabric should be seamless and with small holes;
  • knit the toe and heel correctly, taking into account the number of loops and the size of the leg;
  • As a result, the finished product should fit the leg tightly and not bunch up when walking.

For beginners, you can choose fashionable and simpler models that will significantly decorate your image and diversify your wardrobe.

Knitting knee socks without heels

If the needlewoman has already mastered a set of stitches and become familiar with the front and back stitch, then she can easily knit knee socks. They are always at the peak of fashion, creating an image of warm luxury and youthful audacity.

These knitted knee socks are ideal with miniskirts, protect your legs in the cold winter and add unique chic to the whole look.

To work you will need:

  • yarn - 5-6 colors;
  • circular knitting needles - No. 3-4.

The entire fabric is made with 2*2 rib (k2, p2). The number and color of stripes can be changed at the request of the needlewoman.

It is important to start knitting from the ankle, and closer to the knee, reduce the product a little, knitting 2 purl loops together.

Advice for beginners! If it’s still difficult to master circular knitting, you can do the work on 2 knitting needles, then carefully sew the knee socks with a knitted stitch!

Sheep socks – warm and creative

Investing imagination and a piece of their soul, home craftswomen transform ordinary knitted knee socks into a small work of art.

The description of such a beautiful work fits into several points. The loops are cast on in the round or divided into 4 knitting needles for seamless knitting. It is better to knit an elastic band with mixed yarn, wool plus elastic thread.

The fabric is knitted up to the ankle with the “Fur” pattern; this simple motif is made by winding the working thread onto a finger (2-3 turns) and securing the fur curl with a knit stitch.

Heel knitting patterns are the same for both socks and golf socks. The heel loops are divided into three parts. The central loops are knitted back and forth with decreasing in each row of side loops by 2 together.

When the heel is ready, you need to restore all the decreased stitches with a set of edge stitches and continue knitting in stockinette stitch to the base of the thumb. The toe is made by decreasing loops in 2 or 4 places until the product is completely closed.

Ears and eyes are made separately, sewn to the fabric, and the muzzle is embroidered with black thread.

A creative approach to needlework gives rise to completely unusual styles. You can knit such knee socks with knitting needles in a couple of evenings, but the joy from such a product will be enough for the entire cold winter.
