The beginning of the 9th annual all-Russian children's creative competition "Holy Protectors of Rus'" has been announced. Deadline May 1, 2016.

One of the main objectives of the competition is to attract the attention of the younger generation to the history of Christianity, its spiritual values ​​and ascetics. The competition is held in two categories:

  • "Fine Arts" - a work of art made in the technique: pencil, colored pencil, pastel, charcoal, sanguine, ink, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, tempera, oil. Works made in other techniques will not be considered. The originals of submitted works must be no smaller than A4 (210mm×297mm) and no larger than A3 (297mm×420mm).
  • "Literary creativity" - literary work in prose (story, composition, essay). Works are accepted in in electronic format with one and a half line spacing, typeface Times New Roman or similar, size (point size) from 12 to 14 points. The volume is not more than 5 (Five) sheets.

Competition topics can be:

  • The life of the blessed Matrona of Moscow;
  • Great Patriotic War. Spiritual feat and prayerful participation of the holy Reverend Matrona in the struggle for victory over fascism;
  • Posthumous miracles associated with the name of the blessed Matrona of Moscow.

Participants of the competition in the category "Fine Arts" must keep the originals of the submitted works until the end of the competition.

  • Each participant of the competition is awarded with a personal commemorative diploma. Diplomas are sent by the Russian Post to the address indicated by the participant when registering on the competition website.
  • Teachers, school teachers who are registered on the site and organized the participation of their wards in the competition are also awarded personalized commemorative diplomas. 2. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION

Third - final (June 01, 2017): gala concert, presentation of a commemorative book-biography of the grand-ducal family of Dmitry Donskoy and Evdokia of Moscow, illustrated by the best creative works, awarding winners and active participants, charitable donation of books to the libraries of actively participating schools, cadet and Cossack corps, orphanages.
