Crochet patchwork tunic. Knitted patchwork. Patchwork in the kitchen - ideas

TOTAL

Patchwork- a direction of applied art, the basis of which is the connection of scraps together to obtain a complete product. This technique is widely known and available to needlewomen from all over the world. One of the areas of patchwork sewing is

The technique consists of combining motifs, which is the name given to individual patches knitted or crocheted. Initially, this type of needlework made it possible to use leftover yarn. But over time, craftswomen began to create exquisite patterns using different types of yarn.
It should be noted that knitting segments is much simpler than patchwork. Therefore, this direction of applied art attracts needlewomen of all ages.

Knitted patchwork

One of the simplest patchwork techniques is knitting. This look will interest and appeal to the youngest needlewomen. Because it does not require great knitting skills. It is important to have basic knowledge - set of facial loops, decrease. Mostly the motifs are square in shape. From such elements it is not at all difficult to make a beautiful blanket or an original coat.

To perform the patchwork technique with knitting needles, you need the following set of tools: knitting needles, yarn. The yarn must be of the same type. When choosing yarn, you should follow the recommendations indicated in the product diagram. You should not take risks by choosing the material at your own discretion, since in this case you may not achieve the intended result.

Crochet patchwork

Crochet motifs are quite varied in their shape. But the simplest are squares. More experienced needlewomen create segments in the shape of circles, diamonds and polygons. Having collected all the motifs, we get a complete canvas with amazing patterns. The uniqueness and sophistication of this technique is added by the possibility of decorating such elements with three-dimensional details: flowers, leaves.

An endless flight of fantasy can be reflected not only in the variety of shapes of parts, but also in their sizes. The combination of motifs of different sizes looks very extravagant in products of large canvases.

To work using the patchwork crochet technique, you need hooks of different sizes, which are selected individually for each type of yarn.

Using a hook, you should pick up an air chain, and only then the knitting process will vary. For openwork segments, double crochets, single crochets, and air loops are used.

Preparing motives for connection

Before assembling the knitted scraps into one whole, processing should be carried out to correct the shape. Depending on the material from which the product is made, it can be affected by steam, water, or heat.

Quickly and conveniently attach elements to the ironing board. For fixation, you can use pins, preferably with plastic heads.

Products made from artificial yarn should be sprayed with water and allowed to dry in a fixed position.
Motifs made from cotton or wool yarn are steamed with an iron. It is important to ensure appropriate temperature conditions. This information is indicated on the yarn packaging.

Parts made from natural yarn are pre-soaked in water and blotted with a towel. Having secured it with pins on the ironing board, the product is allowed to dry completely.

Connecting elements when knitting motifs

Often, the methods of joining knitted parts are suitable for both the crocheted patchwork technique and for motifs made with knitting needles. To complete this task, you need sewing needles or a crochet hook or knitting needles.

When choosing a technology, it is important to take into account the features of the shapes of the elements so that the product looks holistic and neat.

In the art of patchwork, the enterlac technique is distinguished. Despite the intricate name, the knitting process itself is quite simple. Products made in enterlac are visually very similar to patchwork, but the fabric is knitted holistically without tearing off the threads.

To correctly calculate the number of loops, you need to knit a trial module. For products in the enterlac style, short rows are used, as well as partial knitting. Geometric shapes are knitted one by one. To give a product using the enterlac technique a pattern, you can use different colors for each element. For beginning craftswomen, there is a simpler option - multi-color yarn.

  1. The ends of the threads will not have to be hidden if all the colors are in the same order, which will make the work much easier.
  2. Enterlak is a rather complex knitting technique. But circular knitting needles will help to avoid constant turning of the product.
  3. You can knit or crochet. Enterlak will help add originality to the image, as well as sophistication and comfort to living spaces.

Plaids, bedspreads, scarves, berets and bags made using enterlac always surprise and attract attention.

Bright scraps of fabric, like elements of a children's mosaic, fascinate and evoke a surge of emotions. When you see intricate patterns, you want to try yourself in the knitted patchwork technique, giving free rein to your imagination.

Crochet patchwork. Master Class

Author's text: "Crocheting patchwork is fun and easy; any threads, especially their remnants, will be useful in the work. The main element is a square, there are several ways to knit it. I offer one of the options. We knit a square from both sides. For example, the side length is 15 ch (this is just an example - the size of the square is at your discretion.) Accordingly, we dial 15 ch + 1 ch (middle) + 15 ch First row: 14 sc, knit 3 sc together, 14 sc Single crochets can be knitted either with regular crochets or sc behind the back half loop, then they will be embossed.

The result is a square. We cast on the top side 15 ch + 1 ch + 15 ch we cast on the second side of the second square.

We knit as the first one. You can increase the canvas in this way to the size you need:

Based on the square, we knit a rectangle - it’s like two squares put together, respectively, we cast 15ch + 1ch + 30ch + 1ch + 15ch and knit, decreasing the stitches in two corners:

Similarly, we knit an element of three conventionally composed squares:

You can arrange the elements in the canvas at your discretion:"

Knitting scales.
_____________

Intarsia, knitted patchwork, modular knitting - the names are different, but the essence is the same; the canvas is assembled from separately connected pieces. If you know how to knit knit and purl, then everything else is not difficult at all.

We put loops on the knitting needles for one scale. It is advisable to knit one trial knit to correctly calculate the number of loops, because the lower part of the scale will bend in an arc during knitting and its length will become shorter due to this. We calculate the length by measuring from one lower corner to the other, in a straight line. I cast on 45 loops (any odd number is possible) per scale (yarn 50g - 135m) at the rate of 3 scales in length for the back and one and a half for the shelves.

Garter stitch (all rows are knitted with knit stitches). Nobody bothers you to knit with any patterns, but my threads are melange and the emphasis is on color.
We knit: 1st row - remove the edge, knit 43, knit the edge purl.
Row 2 - remove the edge, knit 2 together, knit 41, knit 2 together, purl the edge.
So we continue to knit two loops together, next to the edge loops in each row, and knit all the middle loops until there are 3 loops left on the knitting needle. We knit them together with the front one. We do not cut the thread, we leave the skein along with the scales.

In the same way we knit the second scale (a new skein/ball).

In the photo it looks like a swimsuit bra :)))

We knit the second row of scales from the upper edge loops of the lower rows in a checkerboard pattern. To get 45 loops again, we knit loops from the front and back walls.

The side half-scale is knitted in the same way (we cast on half the stitches, I have 23), only the loops in front of the side edge are not removed to create a smooth vertical edge.

This is how we collect the entire canvas. We do not break the threads, but begin to knit each subsequent scale from the previous thread.

Good afternoon

It’s warm autumn outside, but at home…it’s almost winter.

While the heating is not turned on, it is cold and uncomfortable, and you just want to wrap yourself in a warm blanket.

It’s probably not for nothing that I’ve come across beautiful people on the internet lately blankets knitted in patchwork style.

These are blankets made from crocheted motifs, but crocheted not from the center, as we are usually used to, but from the corner.

If you have never knitted like this, let's try to master this technique.

Patchwork style blankets.
Crochet from the corner

Let's start with the selection of yarn. Choose any one you like. Can be used if there are a lot of them accumulated. You just need them to be the same thickness and match well in color. Correctly chosen colors are the main key to the success of patchwork blankets.

For a blanket measuring 2000x1800 cm, about 2 - 2.5 kg of yarn is usually consumed.

It is better to use yarn of medium thickness; it can be wool blend or acrylic.

We will look at three options for knitting from the corner - three patterns for knitting blankets.

Crochet blanket in patchwork style. Diagram of a simple motif associated with an angle

This is such a beautiful blanket and quite easy to knit.

Knitting pattern for a blanket motif

We start knitting the blanket motif with a ring of 4 air loops.

2nd row: double crochets in each column of the previous row, and in the corner of the motif above the arch of air loops: 2С1Н, 2ВП, 2С1Н.

To assemble a crocheted blanket in patchwork style, we tie all the finished square motifs around on four sides with single crochets using yarn of the same color. In this case, black.

You can, of course, combine motifs with each other during the knitting process. But for a large product this is not always convenient.

I prefer to sew all the already knitted motifs together with a needle and thread, or to connect them with a crochet hook.

Knitted blanket in patchwork style with a granny square pattern from the corner

This blanket uses the pattern of the well-known, maybe even boring, but nevertheless popular and always fashionable pattern “”.

And the highlight of the blanket is knitting such a square from the corner.

In the first two rows we knit a small square in the round.

1st row: 3VP, 2C1H, 3VP, *3C1H, 3VP* - repeat two more times. We connect the first and last loops.

2nd row: in each arch of air loops we knit 3С1Н, 3ВП, 3С1Н.

From the 3rd row we knit in reverse rows only on both sides of the square motif: three double crochets, inserting a hook between the groups of stitches of the previous row. There are three air loops in the corners.

Having knitted the motif to the desired size, we knit the last row in the round on four sides.

Knitting a blanket in patchwork style in reverse rows

As you already understand, knitting patchwork-style blanket motifs is done in reverse rows.

The blanket shown in the next photo is made using the same knitting principle on both sides alternately: first on top and right, then below and on the left.

This photo is from a foreign magazine, without a knitting pattern. Let's figure out together how to knit such a beautiful blanket.

For clarity, I enlarged a fragment of the blanket.

It uses double crochet, I think, and

First we knit a small orange square.

Then we knit a row on the left and bottom with single crochets using white yarn, two rows with double crochets and another row with single crochets.

We attach the brown melange yarn and also tie it with single crochets and double crochets on the right side and on top.

Again knitting from the left-bottom with white yarn in a “bump” pattern.

Then the cone pattern with burgundy yarn on the top and right.

Using beige yarn, we knit three rows with double crochets on the left and bottom.

And the last stage is brown yarn on the top and on the right with a “bump” pattern.

We assemble a blanket from squares by crochet.

Children's blanket in patchwork style

I really liked another patchwork blanket. Although here knitting begins not from the corner, but from the middle, then, according to the principle described above, we knit alternately from different sides with different yarn in reverse rows.

Such bright rich colors are perfect for.

Knitting a floral motif for blankets from the corner

Another interesting pattern for patchwork-style blankets, knitting in which starts from the corner. In the corner of this motif there is a small flower, let it be a daisy.

First we knit a chamomile:

1st row: *C1H, 2VP* - 8 times.

2nd row: above the arches of air loops we knit 5 C1H, between them - 5VP.

The 3rd and 4th rows of the motif according to this pattern are knitted in a circular pattern in a spiral, here one row goes into the other.

And from the 5th row we knit in reverse rows on both sides of the square motif.

I knitted the motif using a granny square pattern with a daisy in the corner.

By combining the motifs, you can also knit a cheerful pillow cover for the set.

It will look something like this in my Photoshop:

As you can see, patchwork style blankets are very interesting to knit. And how beautiful it turns out and original, too.

The ideas for all the blankets on our blog are collected in this video:

Enterlac technique. Detailed MK from the site 3knosu.ru

How to knit such beauty? There is a detailed master class on the website 3knosu.ru, which I quote. I found pictures before and after MK on the Internet, including gallery.ru.

What does this newfangled word mean?
Enterlac- knitting technique, the fabric looks as if it was made using a patchwork technique, but the whole thing is knitted as a whole without tearing off the thread. Previously it was called a woven pattern, but now Enterlak sounds more interesting. But this technique has been knitted for a long time and in old magazines there are a lot of models knitted in a similar way.

How does Enterlak differ from other knitting methods?
Intarsia? – in my opinion, has nothing in common with Enterlak.
Modular knitting or patchwork - we knit in separate modules, patches.
Enterlak is a fabric that allows you to knit the whole thing without tearing off the thread! Using this technique, a fabric is created from multidirectional rectangles, reminiscent of basket weaving. This technique is suitable for both single-color and multi-color designs.

Let's look at the main points of knitting using the Enterlak technique

1. If we want the edge of the product to be even, the beginning of the knitting consists of triangles.
Decide how many loops the triangles, and subsequently the squares, will consist of. To start any knitting, you need to knit a test sample. This way you will calculate how many triangles you will need to knit, how many loops to cast on for the initial row, and also practice knitting with this technique.

Let's say I knit a pattern of five triangles, the width of one will be 6 loops.
I cast on stitches for all the triangles at once! = 30 loops.

You need to knit using partial knitting, shortened rows.
It just sounds scary, but it's actually simple.
