A Christmas tree made from candies begins with making a cone out of whatman paper. Its height is arbitrary, whatever you want, usually no higher than 50 cm. The main thing is that it is stable. Double-sided tape is glued around the base of the cone. The top protective film is removed, and tinsel is carefully glued to the second side. The first row is ready. You can stick all the tinsel in a spiral from the base to the top of the cone. The distance between the turns is at least 10 cm.
The tape is again pasted over the tinsel, and the candies are attached to it close to each other, also in a spiral to the top of the head. The candy tails are arranged from top to bottom. Actually, the upper tails of the candy are glued to the tape. The result is an alternation of turns: tinsel - candy.

Accessories and tools

  • A4 cardboard – 1 pc.;
  • Stationery scissors;
  • Christmas tree tinsel – 1.5 m;
  • Double-sided tape;
  • Transparent thin tape;
  • Candies – 40-50 pcs.;
  • Decorative tape (optional);
  • Three-dimensional New Year stickers (optional).

How to make a Christmas tree from candies and tinsel

  • First we need to make the base for the Christmas tree. To do this, we roll the cardboard into a funnel and glue it with double-sided tape so that we get a cone.

  • Now the cone needs to be cut evenly. To do this, I took a simple elastic band and lowered it from the top to the bottom, and already at the level of the elastic, I evenly cut off the excess cardboard with scissors.

  • The trunk of the future Christmas tree is ready and we can start “greening” and decorating it. We glue dotted squares of double-sided tape around the base of the cone and carefully glue tinsel onto it. We cut off the excess.

  • And now we will have the first layer of candies. To begin with, we glue small pieces of double-sided tape to the tails of the candy wrappers, and attach the candies in a circle just above the tinsel, literally retreating 5-7 mm from the line where the glitter is attached. This tier took me 12 large candies.

  • To keep the sweets firmly, we grab them with transparent adhesive tape and move on to the next stage of “greening”.
  • Again, we pointly attach the squares of double-sided tape to the cone in a circle right at the place where we secured the candy “tails” with adhesive tape, and then glue the tinsel.

  • The next stage is candy. We act in the same way as before. We attach the sweets with double-sided tape and secure them with transparent tape. On this tier of candies you will need a little less, about 9-10 pieces.

  • Then we glue the tinsel again, then again the candies, and so on until the very top.
  • Our Christmas tree is almost ready. Now it can be complemented with any accessories you wish. I decided to decorate the symbol of the New Year with a three-dimensional sticker of Santa Claus and gingerbread men, and also hung a decorative ribbon on the “crown”, securing it to the cone with double-sided tape.

2. I take wallpaper (1.5 m wide) - so as not to miss the height. All my Christmas trees are 30-35 cm. For such a height, tinsel 2m long is enough. We make a compass from a pen and thread, draw a semicircle with a radius of the same height as the tree.

5. We twist a cone from a semicircle - the wall turns out to be double. Glue it together. I glue with hot glue because... it gives additional rigidity to the base, and there is no need to dry it. We make a base from penoplex (or polystyrene foam) - outline the bottom of the cone, cut it out. We bevel one edge at the bottom so that we can then insert it into our cone. We put the bottom aside, it will come in handy a little later, it can be covered with the same wallpaper.

6. Glue the tinsel in a circle using the same hot glue.

7. Then we glue the candies. If the candies are light, you can glue them with double-sided tape, but for me they are heavy, so I glue them with glue at the tip of the package. You don’t need to tear off the candy afterwards, you can just pull it out from the other side.

We glue the candies not completely in a full circle, because... The tinsel will need to be placed along the glued tails of the candies to the second row and further in a spiral.

9. We do everything in parallel - glued several candies, followed by tinsel.

10. When everything is pasted over, we trim the tinsel, if necessary, and this is what we get! If anyone succeeds in gluing the bottom with hot glue, that’s great; I didn’t succeed. I got out of the situation in the following way: because. I have penoplex with a height of 2 cm, I took 6 toothpicks, cut off the sharp ends by about 2 cm, I got mini nails, and stuck them through the wallpaper into the foam at the base (as if I nailed them with nails).

11. If you have a star or a beautiful bow, or something else to decorate the top of your head - good, if not (like me) - take a floral (or ordinary, but stiff) wire and make a star!

12. Attach the tip of thin gold tinsel to the beginning of the star, then wrap it around the wire along the entire frame, cut it, and glue the end of the tinsel on the other side.

15. Decorate with beads - carefully glue the first bead into the base of the star, then wrap the beads around the tree along the candies and at the end carefully glue the last bead at the base.

It took about 2 hours to do everything, 30-40 cm of one and a half meter wallpaper, a piece of penoplex, 800 grams. sweets, 2 m of silver tinsel, 65 cm of thin gold tinsel, 1 floral wire, about 2 m of beads, 1.5-2 pieces of 15-centimeter sticks for a glue gun and, of course, imagination!))) To create a Christmas tree from candies you will need:

500-600 grams of sweets in a bright wrapper (in this case we used a truffle in a gold wrapper);

Thick cardboard;

Glue, scissors, double-sided tape;

Christmas tree decor (rain, small star for the top of the head). The color of the candy wrapper should not match the color of the Christmas tree decoration. If you decide to use rain, then choose it with a short “pile” so that the candies are not unnoticeable.

The process of creating a Christmas tree from candies:

The first step is to make a cone from thick cardboard - cut out a semicircle and wrap it. Glue the edges together with superglue, which bonds securely and sets quickly. Cut the bottom of the cone into strips, bend it inward and glue a circle on top, which will help make the base as stable as possible.

Advice: You can hide a small car or a soft toy inside the cone, you just need to think about how the tree will open.

Next, cover the cone with double-sided tape and remove both protective films. Next, glue a row of candies on the bottom. The candies must be pressed very carefully onto the tape, otherwise they will quickly fall off. And in this case, it is advisable to choose light weight ones. If you decide to use heavy chocolates, you can glue them with glue.
