Manufacturing of a traffic light control system. Do-it-yourself traffic light from paper and cardboard How to make a layout of a traffic light from paper

For playing with cars it would be very useful to have such a device as - TRAFFIC LIGHT! With a traffic light the game will be more exciting and interesting.

Let's look at two options how you can make a simple electronic traffic light from scrap materials with your own hands.

Required materials and tools

To make the case you needed: a jar of cream, a piece of metal tube (a brake pipe from a car), an old felt-tip pen (its part is put on the leg), pieces of plastic, M2 screws, M6 nuts, a micro-toggle switch for 2 positions and 2 directions with fixation in the central position, a connector for connecting the charger to the batteries, a holder for 4 AA size batteries (if you use 4 batteries, the supply voltage of the microcontroller will be approximately 6V!! I am not responsible for the reliability of operation in this case), a piece of the circuit board, the MGTF wire and radio components in accordance with the given diagram.

The first version of a traffic light on a microcontroller

  1. The traffic light has 2 operating modes: standby (yellow LEDs flash) and normal:
  2. the first direction is green, the second direction is red (burning can be corrected in the program);
  3. first direction flashing green, second direction red;
  4. the first direction is yellow, the second direction is red and yellow;
  5. the first direction is red, the second direction is green;
  6. first direction red, second direction flashing green;
  7. the first direction is red and yellow, the second direction is yellow;
  8. and so on.

Printed circuit board of a traffic light on a microcontroller

Before flashing the microcontroller firmware, you must turn off the WDT timer. This can be done in the IcProg program (the latest version runs under WinXP).

The second version of a transistor traffic light

If it is difficult for you to implement the first version of the circuit on a microcontroller being flashed, then you can make a second simple version of a homemade traffic light with three transistors.

Circuit of a simple version using transistors

Instead of KT342B transistors, any low-power transistors of imported (S1815...) or domestic production (KT315, KT3102...) reverse conductivity are suitable.

LEDs VD1,2 - red, VD3,4 - yellow, VD5,6 - green.

The switching frequency depends on capacitors C1-3.

Good luck on the roads! Follow the traffic rules!

The Tale of the Traffic Light.

In one small town there lived the most ordinary Traffic Light. He stood on the most ordinary street and the most ordinary residents of the city constantly passed by him. Days and weeks passed in succession. The seasons replaced each other, but the Traffic Light stood and stood. And he didn’t have days off or even a lunch break. The work at the Traffic Light was not very easy. The only pleasure for him was to watch pedestrians.

Day after day, Traffic Light watched the townspeople and always thought about everyone’s behavior. Most of all he liked to watch children.

Here is the girl Varya with her mother. He is capricious and asks his mother for a toy. I look at her with an angry red eye. Varya stopped crying, looks at me and extends her hand to her mother. That's good, that's smart! All young children should know that they need to cross the road holding an adult's hand.

Vika runs about her business. He runs and doesn’t look around!!! Stop, Vika!!!

You can't rush on the road!!! Look at me!!! It’s not in vain that I’m standing here, protecting your lives! Well, she’s so disobedient, her yellow eye is still burning, but she ran!

You can’t do this... It’s a pity that Vika doesn’t follow the traffic rules at all! Every kindergarten, every school teaches the rules, and parents at home also talk about how best to cross the road. Why doesn't Vika know them? Why doesn't he understand the danger?

But here is the boy Yegor, probably going to school. He has a backpack on his back. He's in a hurry, apparently overslept. I look at him with a red eye, and he taps his foot with impatience, but stands still. My yellow eye made Yegor turn his head in all directions, I winked at him with a green one. That's it, I ran as fast as I could.

The traffic light kept an eye on adults and children every day. He was upset and rejoiced. Sometimes I was very worried that I couldn’t scream. At times, I really wanted to scold careless pedestrians. And then the thought occurred to him: “Or maybe they don’t pay attention to me because I’m the most ordinary?” The traffic light firmly decided: “I need to change!” How to decorate yourself? Beautiful garlands and light bulbs will distract drivers and passengers. Flags can cover your eyes in the wind. And the Traffic Light decided to turn into a flower. He loved daisies very much; they grew nearby on the side of the road. It turned out to be a very elegant suit! Now everyone who passed or drove by looked at him very carefully. The traffic light was very pleased; there were no more violators on its section of the road.

Residents of the town fell in love with the Traffic Light and always smiled when looking at it. No one was in a hurry, no one ran across, and no one ran a red light. It's so nice when everyone follows the traffic rules!!!

Listen and remember
And always follow them.
The RED light came on
Stop, baby, there's no way through.
YELLOW light look on
Get ready says.
And the light turned on GREEN
Come in, my scientist friend.
Remember the traffic rules
Like a multiplication table!

Required materials and tools:
- scissors;
- disks;
- colored paper;
- glue gun;
- printed pictures;
- ribbon.

Execution steps:

For the traffic light we use colored foil paper. A4 printer paper and unnecessary discs.

Cut out the squares. We determine the size using a disk. Draw a circle on the square.

Cut the edges of the square to the line of the circle. We cut the strips arbitrarily, approximately 0.5 cm.
Then we bend all the strips towards the center of the disk.

We will print the pictures on the printer.

It's up to you to decide what they are. You can choose emoticons)

In order for the traffic light to last longer, we will cover the top with film or tape.

Cut and glue in the center of the disks. The main thing is not to confuse the meanings)))

We glue the first three disks together with a gun.

Using a template, cut out leaves from white paper. Tighten with a stick or pencil.

Glue on the wrong side. You can glue them with double-sided tape.

We make leaves in two rows. Glue the disks. Glue a ribbon loop between the two red disks.

The traffic light has two sides. With one, we wrote down in words the meanings of the colors of the traffic lights.

On the other side they pasted facial emoticons.

A traffic light has three eyes.
Well, remember them, my friend,
Walk the streets so that soon
You could do it on your own.
That red eye... Be afraid of it!
When it burns, there is no way.
Flashing yellow - get ready!
Green light - go!

Our Traffic Light can hang on the wall in the classroom. Children will always see it and will never forget what each color at the traffic light means.
With such a daisy traffic light you can visit other classes and tell our fairy tale)))

Thank you very much for your attention.
We are waiting for your feedback)))

Good day everyone)) In this article I will try to talk as clearly as possible about how you can do mockup of a real traffic light. If your child loves to tinker with cars, it is not so difficult to add reality to the process of his game, and also make this activity even more exciting, entertaining and interesting! So let's make a traffic light! And so let's go!

What materials do we need:
Tolkushka (we will use it as the basis for our invention!)

Sheets for watercolors (you can use cardboard or any other thicker paper)

Foil (I used regular glazed cheesecake wrappers)

LEDs (three colors: red, yellow, green)

Resistors (Resistance 220 Ohm)

Wires

Arduino controller

The tools we will use are:
Hand drill (with thin drill bits)
Screwdriver
Self-tapping screws
Stapler
Knife

Soldering iron (solder, flux)

That's all, now let's get down to the process of assembling our layout. Let's divide everything into 3 big steps...

Step No. 1 Assembling the "Visors"
To begin with, we will make traffic light visors from paper. Draw it with a pencil and cut it out with scissors (the numbers in the photo are the length in centimeters).

By folding our blank we get a visor..

But in order for the light emitted by the LEDs to be reflected as brightly as possible, foil should be attached to the inner surface.
First, we cut it out in exactly the same shape as the visor (using a knife), and then we fasten both materials together with a regular stapler.

In the photo (below) I showed with black stripes where I fastened...

After this, we roll up our workpiece and fasten the remaining side parts.

We repeat the whole process three times, because we must have three visors!

Step No. 2 Attaching the "Visors"
Using a drill, we drill holes for our visors on the crusher.

On the back side of the visor we make two holes: a smaller one for a self-tapping screw, a larger one for an LED.

We thread the LEDs through the back and screw the visors to the pusher. For now, we’ll just bend the legs of the LEDs to the sides.. Again, we repeat everything for each visor.

Step No. 3 "Electronics"
We solder the cathodes of the LEDs (their grounds) together. Let me remind you that the cathode is a short leg)

We insert the common ground into GND of the microcontroller.
Now let's take the other three wires and solder them to resistors.

We will plug the wires into the contacts of the Arduino (I took pins 2, 3, 4), and solder the ends of the resistors to the anodes of the LEDs.

Now all that remains is to download the next one sketch in Arduino and please your loved ones with your craft!
boolean k = 0; void setup() ( pinMode(2, OUTPUT); pinMode(3, OUTPUT); pinMode(4, OUTPUT); ) void loop() ( digitalWrite(2,1); digitalWrite(3,0); digitalWrite(4, 0); delay(3500); for(int i = 0; i<6; i++) { digitalWrite(2, k); k = !k; delay(800); } digitalWrite(2,0); digitalWrite(3,1); digitalWrite(4,0); delay(3500); for(int i = 0; i<6; i++) { digitalWrite(3, k); k = !k; delay(800); } digitalWrite(2,0); digitalWrite(3,0); digitalWrite(4,1); delay(3500); for(int i = 0; i<6; i++) { digitalWrite(4, k); k = !k; delay(800); } }
Edit the sketch and set your own blinking time and delay!

Every kindergarten from time to time holds thematic exhibitions at which joint works of parents and children are presented. For adults, this is an opportunity to take a break from the daily hustle and bustle and remember childhood, and for children, it is an opportunity to enrich their knowledge and skills in working with various materials. In addition, making crafts together expands the opportunities for communication between children and parents.

One of the important thematic exhibitions is an exhibition dedicated to traffic rules. So, how to make a traffic light for a kindergarten with your own hands? Let's look at a few simple and original ways.

Materials and tools:

  • cardboard box for medicine (perfume, cream);
  • paints (gouache);
  • PVA glue;
  • A4 sheets;
  • stick (twig, ball stick);
  • lid from a box of chocolates;
  • champagne cork;
  • pencil and ruler.

VIDEO INSTRUCTION

  1. On an A4 sheet of paper, draw a spread of the box, leave an allowance for gluing at the edges and cut out the blank. The result is a package in which you need to wrap the box and glue the joints.
  2. We draw 3 circles on the box, this can be done using a compass or a stencil, and paint the body of the traffic light. For greater expressiveness, the “eyes” can be outlined with silver paint, and the highlights can be made white.
  3. Now we are making a stand, for this we take the lid from a box of chocolates and wrap it in a sheet of paper. On the back side we make a small hole into which we insert a stick. We draw out the box “to resemble an intersection” and paint it with paints.

And lastly, we attach the traffic light to the base. We drill a hole in a champagne cork, strengthen it in the traffic light body and put it on a stick.

VIDEO

First of all, we make three pompoms from red, yellow and green plastic bags. To do this, cut off the handles and bottom of the bags, cut along one side to form a rectangle, and fold the pattern in half. We cut the edges into thin strips (no thicker than 1 cm), not cutting to the fold of about 5 cm. We fold bags of the same color one on the other, roll them tightly, and wrap the uncut part with tape.

We stack pompoms of different colors one on the other and fasten them with glue, tape or sew them. On the top pompom you can glue buttons - eyes and a cap glued together from paper, and on the middle one - hands cut out of paper with a striped baton.

To learn traffic rules, children first need to know the meaning of traffic light colors. All teachers have long known that young children learn information most easily through play. For this kind of game, the rules of the road, you will need a traffic light model. Of course, you can buy a model in a children's toy store, if, of course, there is one. But you can also make it yourself. In our article we will look at making a traffic light model from paper, or rather from thick cardboard. This traffic light, despite the fact that it does not have luminous elements or batteries, is quite functional. This effect is achieved by correctly placing flowers on a rotating cylinder inside the traffic light. Such an original traffic light can “regulate traffic” in several directions at once. So, less words, more action. Let's get started.

Making a traffic light from paper

To make such a traffic light, we will need an unnecessary paper box, scissors, tape, superglue, colored self-adhesive paper, a thick sheet of cardboard, black or dark gray acrylic paint, and paper towel tubes. From a sufficiently large cardboard box, cut out a blank according to the sample shown in the photo. When drawing up a drawing of a traffic light ceiling, determine in advance the dimensions of the walls and holes. The traffic signal windows will be cut out. Leave a margin on the side of the workpiece for gluing the walls. Leave a section of cardboard at the bottom of the workpiece to form the base for attaching to the pole.

Having glued the paper blank, use superglue to attach it to a “post” glued together from two or three paper tubes. This is roughly what it should look like.

We create a signal template on a sheet of cardboard using self-adhesive colored paper. First you need to roll a sheet of cardboard into a tube, into a cylinder, and try it on the frame. The inner cylinder should look full and organic. Having created a color scheme, we glue the edges of the paper sheet together, forming a cylinder. We attach a kind of cap to the top of the cylinder. It will also look like the top of a traffic light. But at the same time, by turning it, you can change the meaning of the traffic light signal.

This is what the finished paper cylinder looks like.

And this is what the almost finished traffic light looks like. You can use it either way, or you can paint it black or dark gray. If you are interested in other ways to make a traffic light from paper, watch the video below.
