How to make a ladybug from stones and pebbles

In order to introduce bright and cheerful ladybugs into your garden, you can use ordinary round stones - sea pebbles or whatever you can find will do just fine. This craft is done in an elementary way - the stone is painted red, with black paint - you draw wings, dots, eyes and antennae. Then you can place the resulting insects in the grass, plant them on stumps, glue them to tree branches, or decorate a flower bed. Another option is to paint ladybugs on a large rock.

Concrete ladybug: DIY mosaic

A similar way to make a ladybug, but this time we will use artificial stone and multi-colored tiles. Making a ladybug out of concrete is very simple. We will need cement, which can be bought at any hardware store, an old basin or bowl - a mold for crafts, polyethylene and red and black tiles or something from which we can make a mosaic. This is what we get:

We put a plastic bag in the basin so that the cement does not stick to the sides, pour the cement, wait until it hardens and dries. We take it out and sand it with sandpaper. Next, we glue a mosaic on top of pieces of red and black tiles. The cement ladybug is ready, all that remains is to place it in a prominent place in your garden.

DIY “Ladybug” craft from a bottle

To make crafts from plastic bottles with your own hands, we will need the bottoms of bottles of different sizes; how many bottoms you cut, the number of ladybugs you will get.

We paint the bottoms of the bottles with paints on the inside in different colors.

Red, ginger, blue - choose any one for yourself!

We dry it and wait for the pieces for the kindergarten craft to dry.

We take foam plastic balls, form the head of a ladybug from them, make a recess where the head will be attached to the bottle.

We string the head onto a toothpick and paint it black.

We form antennae from a plastic fork.

We glue the heads to the body of our Ladybug.

We glue the beads, or better yet, artificial eyes, with hot glue. Using sharp scissors, we make holes on the head for the antennae,

Fill them with hot glue and stick in the antennae.

Draw black dots on ladybugs. Do you know what the number of dots on a Ladybug means? Age? But no! Do not mislead children, explain right away that the dots on the back of ladybugs mean that they belong to a certain species, because there are more than 1000 different species of ladybugs (lat. Coccinellidae) in the world. And, by the way, not only red ones! ;)

Our craft for kindergarten is ready. Create with children, keep children busy, teach, develop! Who, if not you, will make a fun bottle craft with them?

How to make a craft “Frogs” video:

Text prepared by: Veronica

An increasing number of domestic craftsmen are thinking about how a ladybug from plastic bottles can be made on their own. Most

A simple way to make it is from a lid. Even a five-year-old child can do it. But the next two options are more complicated, require more thorough preparation, and at least a teenager can complete them.

From the cover

The easiest way to make a ladybug from plastic bottles is from the cap. You need to immediately prepare red, black and white paints. We take a lid from such a container of any size (from 0.5 to 5 liters - everything will do). Cover it with red and let it dry. At the next stage we make a black central line, a muzzle and dots

Black paint. After it dries, decorate the eyes with a brush and white paint. When all this is dry, the plastic bottle ladybug is ready. Now it can be used both as a toy and as a home decoration, in general, at your discretion.

Capacity 5 liters

To create such a figurine, you will need a large container with a capacity of 5 liters. We lay it on one of the side faces. On the bottom side of the neck, draw a line with a marker, parallel to the bottom edge along the entire perimeter. That is, starting from the neck, then along the cone, side edge, bottom, next side, on the other side of the cone and return to the starting point. We cut the resulting workpiece along this line. This product is designed similarly to the previously described method, with the only difference being that there the ladybug made from plastic bottles was small, but here there will be a large figurine that will become a worthy decoration for your collection of plastic crafts. In this case, the lid and neck are used as the head.

Large flower bed

For such a flower bed we will need a set of red, white and black containers. They can be made by coating any container with paint of the appropriate color. It is better to make calculations first and decide on an approximate

quantity of starting materials. It is recommended to prepare them 10 percent more so that there is a certain reserve. Next, on the site of the future flowerbed, a round hill is made, the height of which gradually increases from the edge to the center. Black containers are buried around the entire perimeter of the circle with the lids down and the bottom up. Then (strictly in the middle) you need to make a straight line of the same color in the same way. Using similarly buried white bottles we make eyes. We fill the rest of the muzzle with containers with black color. We decorate the remaining part with red paint, not forgetting about the stains. They are made from single black bottles. After which a ladybug is made from bottles. This craft will be an excellent addition to any garden plot.

Conclusion

Such photos, which are often found, are not such a rarity, confirm this. In the first case, everything is very simple, and even a preschooler can do such modest work. But the last two crafts already require more thorough preparation. Such figures are recommended to be made by experienced craftsmen who have become skilled in this matter.

If you want to make a small ladybug that can be conveniently attached to the railings, veranda boards or “planted” on a decorative fence, you will need:

  • two plastic bottles of any color;
  • acrylic paints or spray paints (black, red and white);
  • wire for antennae;
  • reliable glue or a construction stapler.

1. Cut three semicircles from plastic bottles - two smaller and one larger. You need to keep the cork on the last one (i.e. it will be the top part of the bottle, capturing the neck).
2. Paint them with paints - the larger one is black (together with the cork), and the two small ones are red. On the red ones, which will play the role of wings, draw black spots. You can also make a ladybug of a “reverse” color - with black wings and red spots; such insects are also found in nature.
Draw two eyes on the cork with white paint.
3. Unscrew the cap, put two pieces of wire inside and tighten the cap, making sure that the “antennae” remain in one specific place (it is better if it is the bottom part of the cork, close to the base - this way they will not prick anyone, even by accident).
4. Attach the wings to the body with glue or a stapler. The wings should start at the head itself, i.e. traffic jams. They can be made closed, but a ladybug that looks like it's about to take off will look more impressive, so place them at an angle to each other with the connecting point near the plug.

A little ladybug made from a plastic bottle is ready! Now attach it with glue or wire (the second part of the antennae, which are now inside the body) wherever you want.
