How to weave a rabbit from rubber bands. Easter Bunny made of rubber bands on the loom
There are three ways to weave a rabbit from colored rubber bands.
To make crafts, we need:
- rubber bands white color- 160 pcs.;
- pink rubber bands for the nose and ears - 7 pieces;
- black rubber bands for the eyes - 2 pcs.;
- two toothpicks;
At your discretion, you can take a pencil or a hook instead of toothpicks. The machine must be installed in such a way that the holes look in the opposite direction from us, and the middle row protrudes one column forward. We begin to weave the body of the rabbit, throwing elastic bands of the main color on the extreme columns of the first and third rows.
We fix the columns with a contact elastic band, thrown over with a figure of eight several times on one column. You should get 6 rings. We knit one elastic band between two adjacent columns. We remove the resulting design from the machine - we got the front legs of the rabbit. In the same way we knit the hind legs.
Rabbit ears can be woven with a hook without a loom. We put on an elastic band, throw it 4 times, we get 4 rings. We take two more elastic bands and stretch the resulting rings onto them with a hook. Repeat the action three times to get a long ear.
In the middle of the structure we introduce pink rubber bands, thrown 3 times. We make eyes from black elastic bands thrown around the hook 3 times. We stretch the elastic band of the main color through the black elastic band.
We weave the body for the rabbit on the loom, throwing elastic bands on the first two columns, then on the second and third columns of the left and right rows with a figure of eight. You should get an oval of rubber bands. We string the paws on the extreme columns of the right and left rows.
When weaving the next layers of the structure, it is necessary to fix it with toothpicks so that the elastic bands do not fall apart. As soon as the torso is ready, add the connected front legs, ears and eyes to the machine.
Colored rabbit on the loom
We will need:
- elastic bands of the main color (of your choice) - 148 pcs.;
- black elastic bands for the nose and eyes - 3 pcs.;
- machine;
We take a machine consisting of two rows of 6 columns. Each elastic band is thrown by the eight between two columns 5 times. We get a rectangular structure. We twist the resulting designs of rubber bands together. There should be 6 layers in total.
We remove the structure from the machine, weave eyes and a spout into it, consisting of black elastic bands twisted around the hook 3 times and strung on one elastic band of the main color.

We will need:
- elastic bands of any color - 151 pcs.;
- pink rubber bands for the nose and mouth - 4 pcs.;
- 2 black elastic bands for the eyes;
- 3 yellow elastic bands for the eyes;
We set the machine in such a way that the holes look at you, and the extreme column of the central row goes forward. First, we weave the ears: we take the elastic band of the main color, twist it on our fingers in two turns and put it on the first two columns of the central row. Then we move to the right row, gradually going down diagonally. Repeat the action with the right side.
We drag the elastic bands between the extreme rows along the perimeter of the rectangle. Weave the rabbit's ear, pushing back side hook part of the gum and throwing it on the next column. We remove the entire structure from the machine using auxiliary hook or a toothpick. In the same way we weave another ear.

Weave on the loom

We throw on the first row, and these are five elastic bands, twisting with a figure eight, anywhere on the machine, but better in the middle. Next, go to the next line and make a square 5 * 1.
We put the second row on the first, without turning the figure eight, after which we pull the lower elastic bands with a hook and throw them inward. According to this principle (we put on one row and remove the two lower elastic bands to the center), we throw on six more layers.
We transfer the elastic bands from the extreme columns to the neighboring ones. Now we need 8 elastic bands per layer, we make one and throw off four elastic bands, only from the extreme columns. According to the chronology, which is higher, we weave three more rows.
To make a nose, we make 4 turns of black elastic on the hook, after which we take one elastic of the main color (we have yellow) and transfer black to it.
We weave the next row: we throw on the first elastic band, and the second one just with our spout, then we make a full layer, we throw off the lower ones to the center.
Make a layer with eyes. We take a black elastic band and, according to the same principle, make turns, then we take a yellow one and transfer it, after which we put it on the first and second columns. We make the second eye and put it on the third and fourth column, put the rest of the elastic bands of the main color on empty pegs to make a full row. Remove the bottom rubber bands.
We make two layers. We take the elastic band of the main color and make four turns on the hook, then we take three elastic bands, pull it on the hook and transfer the turns to them. And then we put their loops on the hook, then take three more elastic bands, pull and throw off what is on the hook on them. We repeat the same manipulations one more time. We take one elastic band, we pull and throw off everything that we have on the hook onto it, and we place the elastic band itself on the extreme posts between the rows. We have one ear ready. We do the same with the second one, just put it on the opposite side. The ears should be turned towards the figure.
We turn everything inside out, but so that nothing flies off the posts. We place all the elastic bands on the hook. Next, we pull one elastic band and throw off everything that is on the hook onto it, make a knot. Here is our keychain. To make a figurine, pull the hook from the wrong side, hook on the loop and pull it inside the toy. Stuff the inside of the toy with cotton wool. To make the rabbit plump, push a little more padding polyester. To sew the figure, we crochet into the lower loops in a circle. We take another elastic band and remove everything that is located on our hook on it. We make a loop, tighten it, and then hide it inside. The figurine is ready!
We work with a slingshot
To make such a cute 2D bunny on a slingshot, you will need 58 rubber bands of the main color, 3 for the eyes and nose, the tool itself is a slingshot, because we will weave on a slingshot and with a hook.
We arrange the slingshot in such a way that the open part looks in our direction.
We put the elastic band of the main color on the right column and make three turns. Then we throw a couple of elastic bands on both columns, without twisting, and throw off the turns to the center with a hook.
We throw a couple of elastic bands on both pins, and send the previous ones to the middle. We do the same sequence with two more pairs of elastic bands.
We transfer all the elastic bands to the right column. And we put the very first elastic band with three turns on the left column. We put on a couple more, after which we send a triple elastic band to the middle. According to the same chronology, we weave two more layers.
We put on a couple more elastic bands and throw off all the lower ones on it. The body is ready!
Again, take a couple of elastic bands, put them on two columns, and send the lower ones to the middle. We do the same again, and then we transfer all the elastic bands to the right side.
On the left we put on a black elastic band in 4 turns. We put on a pair of elastic bands and throw off all the elastic bands on it, but the black one should remain on the left side. Then we move everything to the left side.
We wind a single elastic band on the right column, wrapping it three times. Then technique fish tail we make three more pairs of elastic bands. We connect the resulting parts with one pair of rubber bands, throwing everything that is on the posts onto it. We transfer everything to the right column.
We find the loop with which the weaving of the head began, and place it on the left column. We put on a pair of elastic bands and take off that loop on the left side. In order to make the spout, wind the black elastic band on the right side four turns, put on a pair of elastic bands of the main color and throw off the bottom two rows on it, so that the black elastic band is in the center.
Again we transfer everything to the right column, find the initial loop and place it on the left one, make a couple more layers and weave the second eye.
On the right column we put on a black elastic band, twisting it in 4 turns, then we put on the main color wire and throw off the turns and 4 lower elastic bands on it. We put everything on the right side and make the second ear.
We connect all the details by dropping one pair from the left column, and three lower pairs from the right column.
Using a single purple elastic band, we connect everything together. We put it on both columns and remove all the elastic bands on it. Next, we make a loop, align the figure so that the nose is straight, push the loop where it is, in the middle, and our bunny is ready.

Now it's time to use the hook. We will alternately hook the lower loops to them and remove them from all the columns. Let's move the weave down.
Just like the second row, put on the third. Again, remove the loops of the bottom row. We knit in this way only seven rows.
We almost wove the torso. Now we narrow the torso to go to the neck. Crochet the elastic bands from the extreme column at the top right and transfer these loops to the next column. Attach the ears with another elastic band, which must be passed through them. We fasten them to the extreme posts.
Now you need to crochet all the loops from the loom. It is better if the hook is metal. It is stronger and less likely that the rubber bands will peel off it.
Now let's take a pair of rubber bands, put them on a hook and remove all the loops on these two elastic bands.
We fasten the bottom with a connecting loop.

Let's move on to the body of the Easter Bunny. We put on a pair of white elastic bands from the central column to the extreme ones in front, as seen in the photo.

Now we will put horizontal elastic bands on the posts, which will serve as the rigidity of the figure.
And we pass both ends of the wire into the hole in the beads. We stretch the beads on the elastic.
We remove this blank on the third extreme columns, and in the center we divide the elastic band and hook it on the third central one.
We wind the pink elastic band in four turns on the hook. We will remove it on a white rubber band.
Take six more pink rubber bands. We wind each elastic band twice on the hook.
